Arc 1 Episode 1: Heart of the Warmaiden

May smiled, " Only me and Max" she pointed to Max, "were sent as everyone else was eithe ron a mission or 'not experienced enough' as our guildmaster put it ..."

"Anyway ..." Max bowed to the boy and girl.

" My name is Max Fuer. I'm an A-Class WIzard from Blue Pegasus. It is nice to be working with you two."

"Oh yeah! My name is May Boem, I'm an S-Class Wizard from Blue Pegasus." She bowed to the two.

"So, once the other two from Fairy Tail are here, should we talk strategy?" Max asked.

Akari Kaya
~Sabertooth S-Class Mage~

Although Akari understand Valerie and Raxil were joking around, she couldn't help but be disappointed in their lack of seriousness. This was a mission given to them by the Council; they had to treat it as such. If they failed to pull this off, the name of Sabertooth would be tarnished. Akari would rather give up her magic than see that come to pass. Her sternness was meant for the good of the guild, and of the mission. Noting Skylar, Valerie's friend, address her shyly, Akari's serious face morphed into a gentle expression. "Hi, Skylar-san. How are you?"

Turning back to the Council as Meral began to speak again. Her mind processed the instructions and committed them to memory. Team One...northern canyon...find the Warmaiden. Her eyes widened slightly when she was announced as the leader of her team, however. True, she was an S-Class mage, but she preferred to work as a team rather than follow a set leader. Oh, well. If it was what Meral wanted, than she supposed she'd have to comply...

Akari calmly took the communication Lacrima and put it in her pocket. Chances were she wouldn't need to use it much, but keeping it close was the best option in case they ran into trouble. Raxil's outburst made her smile at bit, her hand instinctively reaching up her collarbone and rubbing the spot where her own gray guild mark was. Walking over to him and Valerie, she eyed both of them in turn. "First thing we have to do is, obviously, get to the northern canyons. Which is why I agree with Skylar's question." Casting her gaze up once again to Meral, she called, "Are we getting ourselves there, or are you providing us with means of transportation?"

Claude Karmesin

"A test? Now that's what I call originality." Claude muttered, apparently annoyed over the lack of conclusive information about the job. It was already  more than clear that he didn't like to be forced to partake in missions without even receiving an adequate amount of info about the necessity for urgency, a situation that clearly demoted the secrecy of the employer, a bad omen even when the employer was the council. In despite of that, he quickly recovered his composure and took another bite of the already half-eaten mantou, turning his head to face the girl from his guild that tried to attract his attention, slightly frowning when faced by the strange pronunciation of his name. "What do i think? I think it's going to be troublesome and probably annoying, specially when considering how they didn't give the reason for gathering such an overwhelming amount of strong mages for the mission." The S class mage started talking as soon as he finished another bite of the Mantou, reducing his voice to make it so that just the girl could hear his words clearly. "4 S class mages and at least 2 with an equal level of power -  That I can identify, that is - for a search mission? Sounds more like a team fitting for a 10-year job. It is already clear that the task isn't going to be simple."

Claude moved his gaze away from the girl right after finishing his explanation, hardly interested in maintaining a conversation after receiving the new about being responsible for the team, as he felt the need to effectively handle the organization of the team for the sake of avoiding any possible danger that the somehow suspicious mission could bring. He quickly managed to identify Kiran and Avie walking towards him - not that hard of a task, considering how Avie actually waved to him while grinning. "Please tell me that you didn't leave your sister behind, Avie." He quickly said as soon as they neared him, noticing how Celia wasn't accompanying the duo. "I can't handle all this thinking without her help"

@Mena

Asher started scribbleing in her notebook ' Stopped listening after the teams ' As bad as it seemed to others , Asher had a short attention span so her lasting over half of the meeting was an achievement. She could see from Adrian's face that he wasnt sure she had payed any attention, Asher sighed from the lack of faith from her guild mate before showing him the writing before turning her attention back to the 2 blue pegesus members.

Asher smiled and nodded her headat the suggestion of making aplan for what was ahead, it wasnt her string suit but planning ahead was always a good idea. She quickly wrote down her introduction ' Im Asher Kinsmen, C class Card wizard from Fairy tail ' it said messily as writing without proper support was tricky for Asher to make everything look nice.

May smiled, as she put her hands together, " Notebook!" She exclaimed.

In a matter of seconds, a hard-cover notebook appeared in the thin air. She grabbed it and held it out to Asher, " It looks like you're having a bit of trouble writing on something that flimsy. Well, unfortunately, I can't make anything that lasts permanently, but something that small should last for a while. Oh! By the way, my magic is the Arc of Embodiment. I only have a few battle spells, but I can make most everyday things. What's your magic?"

Adrian looked down and turned red faced when she showed him she had been listening. "Sorry...." he was extremely embarrassed and hid behind his hulking mirror until his face returned to its normal shade of ghostly white. "I'm Adrian...I'm an A class wizard...my bag is is reflection magic...hence the giant mirror" he spoke silently again. he lifted the mirror up slightly before letting it drop accidentally dropping it on his foot. He let out a yelp of pain before picking the the mirror and setting it down carefully this time. He bit his lip nervous and rested his forehead on the top of the mirror hiding his face in embarrassment.

Haru Nekochi

Haru looked around the room once the Grand Council's mage had stopped talking for everyone to take in the information. Everyone from what she could tell was pretty shocked at the news but for her, it didn't really bother her as much. However it was strange that the Magic Council would summon guilds from all over on this mission. "Ah....I see....Maybe they have a good reason for that? I mean...never mind." She briefly said, looking towards her guild mate then looking away to the announcer. She always had trouble talking to other people when it was just her and another person, not a group of people. Hmmm....cake....need sweets... The thought came to Haru's mind as a slightly tingling sensation came from her mouth. She was craving sweets at a time like this, she pouted while scolding herself for acting childish.

Haru noticed that her other guild mates were heading over to where the two of them where, she shyly stood there unsure of what to so. One part of her wanted to go to the others and talk to them as well but the other said not to bother them with your lack of emotions. She felt as awkward as ever as she just stood there looking weirder by the second. Sure she had been in the guild for 5 years but she never really talked to anyone frequently, she was just as much as a stranger towards her guild mates as herself. So she excused herself from the conversation, making her way deeper and deeper into the crowd.

Asher looked at the notebook happily , it wouldnt last long as she had just been informed but it was perfect to write on for now. She was slightly startled by Adrian sudden slip up and put her hand on his back as a sign of sympathy while he hid his face behind the mirror, it was a knee jerk reaction for her.

Within seconds she moved her hand away and returned to writing a small plan for the mission ahead, It was poorly put together but it was just a base to go ofc until they had a fully fledged pkan in action , or a slightly good either way she was happy to work with other guilds for once instead of the same routine every day.

Ain Tanovis

Ain let out a silent 'harrumph' as she crossed her arms together. Working with other people on this was going to be necessary but that didn't mean she had to like it. She turned to address Mermaid Heel and the other guildless mages with a discerning eye. "Do NOT get in each other's way." She announced simply before facing the council lady once more. "I have one more question, probably seems insensitive given the situation but I have to ask, you are paying us for this job, aren't you?" Ain did not want to spend her time doing work only to find out that she wasn't getting paid at all. "I just wanted some clarification." @Ichorblooded @MermaidHeel @Guildless

J9PtHX8.png

Celia sighed, and watched her sister cling to Kiran for a moment, before she focused on the Council again as they announced the teams and the leaders for them. At least they didn't have to deal with shenanigans from other guilds--FairyTail in particular--or any guildless mages in their team. She waited a few more moments longer than Avie and Kiran did to head towards Claude as she was taking the time to jot down her mental notes on the little information they had been given in her archive screen. Said screen and it's accompanying keyboard disappeared as she cancelled the magic to go in search of Claude and hopefully the other guild members. Before she started off, she grabbed the large black war-hammer that her sister had left leaning against the wall beside her. She had a feeling Avie had completely forgotten about the weapon she'd brought along for this mission despite her advice not to.

Finding Kiran, Claude, and Avie wasn't hard... she just looked for her obnoxious sibling and whatever antics she had going on. She found them just after Claude finished questioning Avie on her own whereabouts, and in time to see Haru leave the group. She would have gone after her if her assistance wasn't needed, but it seemed she was needed here with Claude at the momment. Her feet carried her up beside Avie, to pass the not exactly light hammer to her younger sister, before she took the liberty of moving to stand beside the red headed mage. "She didn't leave me behind, though I couldn't say the same about that thing." She answered his question on behalf of her sister, a small smile on her features as she gestured to the weapon she'd just passed off. She grew more serious after that.

"They didn't give us very much information. I have a bad feeling about this whole thing." She mused, mostly to Claude as she activated archive again to the screen she'd jotted her notes onto. This time, she didn't limit it to just the one screen though. A second was there as well and she had it currently looking for more information on the Warmaiden, it's purpose, and even it's disappearance to try and find out more about things the council had choosen not to share. She wasn't so focused on the screens that she wasn't paying attention, far the contrary actually. Most of her attention was on the S-class mage beside her and the other two guild members gathered.

Meral Ferris
latest
Meral peered over her glasses once more and smirked at the groups that began to form down below. "We can discuss pay after Warmaiden has been retrieved and we see that you can actually complete the mission." Meral said in response to those who inquired about pay. "But for now, you all must be off to your locations. We will not provide transportation. We don't want to risk drawing any attention to the council and potentially risking the lives of ourselves or you all, so, we wish you the best of luck, and that is all." Meral and the council stood from their seats and walked down the steps that led up to the round table, with Meral leading them all out of the conference room.

Akari Kaya
~Sabertooth S-Class Mage~

Akari immediately turned around and began to exit the room. "Come on Raxil, Valerie. We need to get to that northern canyon and get into position." No matter about the transportation; other drivers could only be so reliable. Not to mention they didn't want the general public knowing about their whereabouts. "Looks like we'll have to take a Magic Four Wheeler. Unless either of you two have a better way of getting there?" she turned to the other wizards, raising an eyebrow inquisitively.

Almost instinctively, she reached into her pocket, making sure the communication Lacrima was still there. It seemed to be in order, which was a great relief to her. She had great confidence in her abilities and those of her guildmates, but you could never be too careful when going on missions like these. If Akari didn't know any better, she'd say Sabertooth and the other guilds were being duped by the Council itself, but what purpose would they have in doing that?

Glancing around at the other guilds, Akari wondered how long it would take for them all to get into the positions Meral had assigned to them. Some groups were a tad larger due to lack of attendance by some of the guilds (namely Sabertooth), so transporting that many people might take longer than just a few. Bouncing on the balls of her feet, Akari was itching to start this mission and prove how great Sabertooth's might was.

"A pleasure," Lianne said, bowing towards the newcomer Isekai. Noticing where the young girl's eyes lingered, Lianne added, "If you are curious as to how I earned my scar, I would be happy to tell you the story. However, it would have to wait until after the meeting."

It was at this time the mages were dismissed to carry out the mission. As the council left, Lianne turned to look at them. No discussion of pay until after the mission. Something seems off. Then there was the issue of avoiding attention, which is not one of Lianne's strongest features. "Since secrecy is of utmost importance," Lianne said, "someone else should secure transportation. I am too recognizable."

Skylar Fay & Valerie Neko
Valerie let out a disappointed "nyan" after hearing that the mages would have to find their own transportation. She understood the reasoning, but she felt like that the magic council could have tried to secretly provide transport. There was no point thinking about it now though. The feline-like mage turned her attention to her senior ranked guildmate. "Skylar could use her bird form to fly herself there, but the three of us would still have to get there somehow," she replied to the transpiration question.

"A...and it would u...use a lot of magical energy," Skylar shyly piped up. She nervously pressed her index fingers together. "I...I think we should use the f...four wheeler."

Skylar and Valerie started to follow Akari. Skylar continued to nervously press her index fingers as she walked; Valerie, on the other hand, confidently swished her hips and casually held her arms behind her head. Skylar looked up at her older sister figure. She was nervous about the mission. The Sabertooth group assigned to the mission was pretty small and out of the four she was the weakest. Valerie looked down at Skylar and flashed her a smile. It didn't completely get rid of Skylar's nervousness, but it was comforting for the young Sabertooth mage to know that she'd be near her neesan.

May listened intently as the council member continued to talk. She frowned when the council member said no pay until afterward, "No advance? No 50 now 50 later? And I planned on getting something to eat ..." She crossed her arms over her chest and pouted. She then quickly continued to smile, " Oh Well!"

Max rolled his eyes. "Anyway ... " Max said, turning towards the others, " Any ideas for transportation?"

May shrugged, " II could make us something but there'd be no guarantee that it will be made long enough for us to get there ... If anyone else has any ideas, I'm all for them, but if not, I'll try my best to get us there safely."

Max nodded, "Anyone else"

Donald Houns
The doors to the Magic Council hall burst open, and the guildless mage Donald Houns entered the room. He wore a tattered hooded cape that wrapped around his body, covering all of his torso and the top part of his legs. From there down, he wore tattered brown pants that only made their way to the halfway point of his shins, and nothing on his feet. He wore a wide grin on his scarred face, and strutted in without a care in the world.

"
Hey, hey. I didn't miss anything important, right?" From out of the tattered clothes came a scarred arm, holding a piece of paper. "Some Rune Knight a few cities over gave me these directions to get to his place, but...well, can't read. Useless thing." He dropped the paper onto the floor and looked around, seeing people gathering into groups. He frowned. "Wow...guess I did, huh? Useless kingdom soldiers. I say I never learned to read and they give me written directions? Idiots!" He looked around at each of the groups, and scratched his chin as he looked around.

He then let out an exasperated sigh. He quickly stalked over to the group he was closest to, and put his arm around a woman with chestnut hair and long bangs. He didn't look at her, instead looking at the other mages that had gathered. "
Hey, buddy ole pal. Mind giving me the run down of what I missed? And what the hell we are doing right now?"

Raxil half-smirked, half-frowned as the council left their seats. "What'd I tell ya? Please, does anyone buy that drawing attention stuff? We're already risking our lives by gettin' involved, they just wanna save their own hides." He grumbled, mostly to himself.
Though he tried and failed to look tough and composed, the mere mention of a magic four wheeler made Raxil's stomach churn, and his mouth quirked upwards, nervously. Noticing this, the cat on his shoulder chuckled.

"I uh... I don't really trust those magic four wheelers... Maybe Fang and I will just fly above the car? We could.... we could run surveillance! Yeah, we could uh, surveil..."
The young wizard sputtered, trying hard to keep his cool air about him, and trying harder to not get caught unable to fight due to motion sickness.

Riptor Gator
Outside the council hall Riptor was reading a map with a big X over the location of the council hall on it. He walked with the map covering his face. When he enter the grounds the council hall was on guard quickly noticed the big lizard man walking onto the grounds. "Halt monster!" one of the guards yelled as him and other guards surrounding him.

Riptor lowered the map and before noticing the guard he saw the hall. "Their it is, excuse me guys." Riptor said not caring about the guards as he simple pushed pass them. A guard annoyed by this tried attacking him with a sword. But before he finished drawing his sword Riptor turned around and accidentally knocked the guard away into the nearby bushes with his tail. "This is the council hall right?" Riptor asked the guard said looking at their comrade on the ground. They then started backing away before running.

Riptor shrugged and continued walking to the door to the hall. The door were about to close before Riptor slammed the doors opened. One of the doors fell onto ground after hitting the hall. "Is the meeting still going on..." Riptor asked loudly before noticing everyone was already in groups. Then he noticed on of the doors was the ground, so he picked it up threw out the door in hopes no one would notices. A man saying ow could be heard in the distance after getting hit by a door...

Akari Kaya
~Sabertooth S-Class Mage~

Akari smiled kindly at Skylar. "You don't have to fly if you don't want to. Save your strength for later." Shooting a glance at Raxil, she smirked knowingly. Ah, yes, the famous motion sickness of the Dragon Slayers. Her parents had always had entertaining stories about the Twin Dragons of her guild, now long gone. "I understand if you don't want to come with us in the four-wheeler, Raxil. I wouldn't want your motion sickness to get in the way of the mission. But if Fang gets tired, you're going to have to deal with it."

It was then a strange man's arm wrapped around her shoulders, causing Akari to stiffen and widen her eyes. A sharp glance to the side revealed a wizard, supposedly guildless from the looks of him, asking Raxil in the others what he had missed. Akari immediately elbowed him hard in the side and stepped away, glaring at the newcomer. "Missing warship. Teams in four cardinal directions to find it. Guildless over there." She pointed over to the group including the guildless mages, completely uninterested in spending more time with this too-forward wizard. "Let's go, Sabertooth," she said, leading her way out the door.

Once outside, she rented a magic four-wheeler and climbed into the driver's seat, urging her guildmates to hurry up. "It's now or never, guys," she pointed out, hooking her arm up to the SE plug. The sooner they got done with this mission, the sooner they could go home.

Skylar Fay & Valerie Neko
A playful smirk appeared on Valerie's face as Akari elbowed Donald. It had been very entertaining. "Easy Akari, we wouldn't want to scare off a potential guildmate," she purred before turning her attention to Donald. "It's like my guildmate said. You're group is over there," she told him, pointing over her shoulder with her thumb at the guildless group. "We have our own part of the mission to attend to. See ya around," she added causally.

Skylar gave Raxil and Fang a concerned look. She wished she knew a healing spell that would help her Dragonslayer friend with his motion sickness, but that was something her magic couldn't do. She was about to say something to the duo when Donald arrived. She flinched as Akari elbowed him. She turned her attention back to the Dragonslayer and his exceed. "D...don't tire out Fang t...too much. OK? W...we can always wait for you at the c...canyon," she stuttered.

As Valerie started to leave with Akari, Skylar looked over at Donald. "A...are you alright?" she asked. "S...sorry about Akari. I think you s...surprised her." The shy girl tapped her index fingers together and flinched again after Akari yelled. "R...right. I...I'm coming," she timidly replied to Akari as loud as she could. "E...excuse me," she politely said to Donald before making her way out of the conference room. She climbed into the backseat of the magic four-wheeler and sat behind Valerie, who was in the front passenger's seat with her feet kicked up on the dashboard.

Videl & Nox.jpg
Nox & Videl
Nox jerked his head upwards to narrow his eyes at the council for a moment as they announced the groups for the mission. A sharp sigh left him before he straightened and pushed himself away from the wall a step or two. The communication Lacrima landed carefully in his palm where he pocketed it safely. "Videl, don't piss anyone off." He instructed to his brother just before the pair were approached by the first of several mages. He nodded to the woman named Lianne of Mermaid Heel with a slight smile, then to Isekai. He waved off her later comments. "You don't have to be so formal." He commented with a small laugh before he turned to face the remaining guildless woman who approached. She did not come off as the most friendly person on earth to him, but he made no comment on the choice to listen to what else the council had to say.

Videl on the other hand, did not take so quickly to greeting the others, and hung back behind Nox for the time being. When the topic of finding transportation came up, he was quick to volunteer himself. "I'll go find us a couple of magic four-wheelers or something. Just meet me outside in a few minutes." He replied to Lianne, and waved behind him as he walked off and out of the council hall in search of said vehicles. The others would find him outside the building later waiting hopefully with transportation.

Nox turned to the others in the mean time and smiled only slightly once more before his face grew serious. "While he looks for transportation, I think we need to set down some ground rules. As it's been pointed out, we need to stick together so obviously don't go running off alone. I'm not going to ask that you all become best of buddies and friends like sappy guild-mates--no offence meant there, Lianne--but I will ask that you all try to get along a little. Stay out of each others way if you can't manage that." He spoke with a calm, confident voice, yet there wasn't much trace of arrogance there as he seemed more annoyed to even be stuck as leader than anything else. "Don't fight or I will forcibly separate you and you won't like it. Trust me. That's all." He finished and fell silent to gauge reactions and wait, watching as other teams began to leave the hall.
