Backround​

Jade was born in a shady, poverty stricken neighborhood in St. Louis, Missouri. Her mother (Skylar) was pregnant with her at the young age of 17, 18 year old father (Robert) promising to stay with her. Dropping out of highschool, they both sought jobs so they could support eachother and the coming baby. Living together now, her parents were infuriated with her actions and shunned her. This had greatly stressed her mother out. She even considered abortion at times.

Successfully delivering the baby, they lived a happy life for awhile.. Until drugs were introduced and her father had lost his job. They then resorted to making and distributing crack cocaine. The 4 year old Jade was practically abandoned as her parents fed their nasty addiction, even exposing it to her at times.
Months later, they were busted and sent to jail, Jade put into foster care..

Personality:
Some say he's cold-mannered, abrasive, quick-to-anger, and your typical rebellious teen. And those who'd land on these conclusions would be right for the most part. Chris is rude, sure, but not cold-hearted. And the boy may be detached, objective, and stoical, but not unbreakable. Imagine a teddy bear filled with soft cotton that is protected by an outer layer of spikes and nails. While rough and ugly on the surface, once the exterior has been breached, the inside is most rewarding.

Chris is a sensitive boy no matter how hard he tries to hide his vulnerability from the world- and he tries incredibly hard. He's emotional. Fires don't burn- they blaze within him, banishing all else from sight but the object of his rage. Rivers flood deltas, pushing into oceans and churning them over and over, causing ripples to turn to waves to tsunamis. And all of this can be over within the blink of an eye.

Impulse isn't his style when he can help it. His anger issues can cloud his judgement and rational thinking every now and then, and that's exactly why some may be surprised to know that Chris is calculating. He's cautious- meticulous. If only his temper would allow him to be more often... he'd be a lot more desirable than he is now. Ah- but then there's also his love for competition that probably would never die out-

While Chris holds his bonds close to him, almost to the point of possessing the very people who share them with him, he is selfish. Chris tends to instinctively put himself first. There are a few exceptions to this - extreme exceptions, but exceptions. And Chris realizes how terrible of a person he is. That's why when he sees selflessness in others, his respect and admiration swell more than his pride. Chris is easily influenced and persuaded by those he thinks of highly. All it takes is a good or bad role model.

If one word sums Chris up- Intensity is the key-theme here. It's all or nothing. Be spontaneous to impress him, but be quick, to the point, and variable with it. He gets bored easily.

Fears:
Chris has very few fears. Other than survival/death-related fears such as drowning or getting stranded, Chris's psychologically-based fears are more poignant and affecting.

For one, Chris has noticed how cramped his home has become overtime since his birth. With each new member moving into the house, he questions and ponders his own role as well as importance to the family. What he fears is losing the sense that he is truly a part of the Greys.

Chris also fears the day of the inevitable death of his aunt, Jeanine. With all of the change that has affected him in the past, shifting the tides of his life to an erratic rhythm, this next one may be the biggest yet.

Strengths:
Chris is physically strong. He's incredibly energetic, has loads of stamina and endurance, and is in overall great physical shape. And along with a tough body, he's also got a sharp mind- balancing the brain and the brawn. He's also got a certain boldness going for him- an ability to resist the claws of hesitation and to take action. In the face of danger, Chris is surprisingly reliable with his quick-thinking mind and his lack of petrifying fear. He's a fast-reactor and a watchful guardian.

Weaknesses:
Chris has one major weakness: his anger issues. Strike the right nerves and he becomes quite predictable, although a bit dangerous as violence is often times his go-to solution right before being sent into blinding rages. He's been working on it though.

Another thing that the boy struggles with is the expression of emotion- other than anger. Chris doesn't take feelings well. What he does when he's distressed is get up and walk it off. He distracts himself with something to keep him busy and moving, and while this works for a while, this only puts the negativity off until another time. When asked to express how he feels, he'd simply just rather not because he doesn't know how.

Backstory:
Chris was accidentally conceived when his mother was just 20 and his father 22. The young couple, unmarried at the time, decided to keep the baby. And when Chris was born, the two were still living in an apartment with his aunt as roommates.

Chris was three when his parents finally married, and a few years after that- two after auntie Jeanine moved out, the new family got their own house. And here, Chris grew up for the longest time as an only child. It wasn't particularly peaceful however. Chris was a trouble-maker, getting into brawls with other kids as early as 12. It was then that his parents recognized that their child had serious anger issues. So, for the next few years they put their kid into counseling, which Chris continues to go to occasionally today.

When he hit 14, Chris had a new sibling- an adopted sister, Jade.
This made Chris reflect on his actions. Were his parents replacing him because of how troublesome he was? That's what he thought, and so he took his frustration out on the new girl. He'd pick on her, argue with her, and get further on his parents' nerves, believing that if him and Jade turned out to be incompatible, they'd send her back. The boy's father took notice of his hostility and arranged for the whole family to have a talk. With reassurance that Chris was not being replaced, he calmed his temper considerately. After a year, him and Jade's relationship moved up from hatred to neutrality. And it remained that way for another year. And now, currently, the two have seemed to move on from their bad start.

Two months ago, auntie Jeanine moved in with her twins. But bad news came with her too. Jeanine has terminal cancer. As momma will soon give birth to her own set of twins, Jean might not be around long enough to appear in the memories of her sister's children.

· P H Y S I C A L ·​

General:
Chris stands at 5'10 and weighs approximately 180 lbs. He has a very lean physique and he his muscle mass is above average. He possesses a shape that perfectly reflects his perpetual kinetic energy.

Chris has ash blonde hair along with eyes that are seemingly grey, however if one looks close enough- they'd see that the hue of his eyes are actually that of a feeble pale blue. Chris obviously received most of his father's genes as he looks almost nothing at all like his mother.

Simple and casual could easily describe Chris's fashion style. Much like his father, but with laziness levels turned up to full-blast, he puts very minimal effort into how he dresses. Usually, he'll throw on whatever's around. However, Chris's wardrobe is also simplistic, consisting of mainly darker colors and plain items that can coincidentally come together on their own.

Chris will wear light, mobile clothing. Hoodies and jackets aren't his thing; those are only reserved for the winter months.

Backstory: Jeanine grew up with her father, sister, aunt, and uncle in Galveston, Texas. Her father was a distant parent, never truly getting close to the girls as he should have. When she and Gabrielle had saved up enough money, the two of them packed up and moved to Seattle with their father's blessing, and a substantial wad of cash.

She lived with her sister and roommate, Ryan, until the two of them got married when she was just about eighteen. Not wanting to be a burden, she saved up her money for another year, and moved into a tiny apartment a few days after her nineteenth birthday. She met a guy named Blake, and things quickly got serious. They became sexual, and he ended up forgetting to wear a condom during one heated night when she was twenty-five. She became pregnant with twins, and he left her. She gave birth to Mia and Lia nine months later, her sweet twin girls, but it wasn't long before things started going downhill once again.

Jeanine was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer a year after having her girls, and fell into a deep depression. Despite lung cancer being initially treatable, Jeanine didn't have the money to afford pay for treatment. She desperately tried to save up money, hiding the cancer from her sister, but her lung cancer eventually turned to an extremely rare form of heart cancer when her daughters were about four. She took care of her daughters for another three years, but the depression became so severe she was admitted to a hospital for psychiatric care and chemo. She left the twins in the care of her sister and Ryan, but when she was sent back home, she couldn't have them around.

Backstory: Gabrielle was born to Harper and Liam MacCready in the coastal city of Galveston, Texas. Her mother carried Native American and Japanese genes while her father was almost completely white, giving Gabrielle a unique blend of the three cultures throughout her life. When she was 5, her mother gave birth to her sister, Jeanine, and died from complications during labor soon after her second daughter was born. Their father then raised them with the help of his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, never marrying again after losing the love of his life.

Eventually growing tired of Texas, the sisters decided to save their money and move to Seattle in Washington state. This is where Gabrielle met her roommate and now husband, Ryan, married him, then had her oldest child, Chris, and decided to finally settle down.

After her sister was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer, Jeanine begged Gabrielle to take care of her twin daughters, Mia and Lia, who were seven at the time. So, she did. Then, she got pregnant with her own twins.

"Here is the only truth that you'll ever need to remember: stupid people exist so that we can be smart."
Hyperboles: Ryan's favorite thing. Well- Favorite may be a bit of an exaggeration. He likes them... a lot. He also uses them... quite frequently.

A young soul trapped in an old body is what Ryan is. He is generally friendly and he enjoys company and socializing. Back in his day, establishing and building on friendships was actually a priority of his purely out of the desire to be liked by many and possess a wide pool of friends, acquaintances, and family. For he he thought, and still does, that having more people in your life means more people being able to help you out when you need it.

But while Ryan likes being liked and is a natural people-pleaser, he is no pushover. Even though a bit submissive by default, he does not compromise his own self respect for the admiration or contentment of another. It is hard for him though- resisting the urge to put other people first. And sometimes- often times- he just gives in.

In his younger years, Ryan used to struggle with confidence. It was one of his biggest flaws. But lucky for him, he's long grown out of his awkward years, and now he's unafraid to be himself. Dad jokes, bad puns, and all. However, remnants of his old personality are still alive. Ryan has always been one to retreat into his shell when difficult problems arise. It's a way of coping that leads to self-reflection and then to coming back around stronger than before.

In all seriousness, despite his wacky humor and preference for lightheartedness, Ryan is human more than anything else. Certain issues demand serious attention and attitudes. All jokes aside, he is compassionate and empathetic. Ryan is not a risk taker, and on a more somber note, he is unafraid- although reluctant- to admit to his faults, screw ups, and even his most pride-diminishing moments. Acknowledging your faults and admitting to them is the first step to bettering oneself.

Fears:
Ryan fears anything devastating happening to his family. Be it financial failures, his kids getting hurt, his wife getting hurt, his family straight up tearing apart- he's a family man. He thanks whatever keeps the world going every day that something good happens.

Along with his fear of disaster, he can't help but think of the morbid and dark concept of his early death. Who would look out for his family then? He knows that his side of the family would step in- but he hopes that it doesn't have to come to that.

Out of his two kids, not including the two twins on the way, Ryan has the softest spot for Chris. He sees so much potential in him like any parent would for their troubled child. It would break his heart terribly if Chris ended up not making something out of himself.

Ryan also fears that Jade is not comfortable or content with him. Perhaps he is only being oversensitive, but it would break his heart terribly as well if he were to find out that Jade doesn't like her adoptive family.

Strengths:
One of Ryan's best qualities is his charismatic way of interacting with others. Ryan's a good mediator and communicator. He's very considerate in his manner of speech that has a way of appealing to people. Talking is definitely one of his strong suits.

Ryan also has a calming aura to him. He's able to rationally think under pressure and keep his cool in difficult situations. He's quite intelligent too. He's a good problem solver even when he doesn't believe so himself.

A strong sense of empathy and the ability to understand different perspectives and relate to others is another skill that Ryan has developed. This virtue of his acts as a power-up to his latter two strengths.

Weaknesses:
A huge weakness that Ryan has is that it is easy to play with his emotions because of how considerate he is and because of his tendency to put other people first. A master manipulator would easily win him over with the right sob story and skillful timing.

Another is that Ryan believes he's not fit for leadership. This puts him in stressful moods when he's ever needed to be a strong leader. As a father, Ryan had always had pressure on him to be a role model. And while he *is* quite adept at his position of being a father, when he is counted on to lead, he feels very intimidated and can doubt himself which may lead to poor behavior.

Backstory:
Ryan was born and raised in Seattle to two loving parents. He had two older brothers and a load of cousins and aunts.

For the most part, Ryan would say that his childhood was a happy one. Fortunately for him, his home life was void of any major drama. The most affecting thing to happen to Ryan was that his two brothers grew up to be gay while he was the only straight son. But even so, the family eventually got over it and accepted that their two sons were just different- at the expense of a few relatives who are still unhappy about it.

When Ryan turned 18, he moved out of his parent's place and into an apartment with one of his brothers and a couple other roommates. And after two years, Ryan wanted to get his own place. And this was how he met Gabrielle. After replying to an ad about seeking roommates, Ryan met up with her and her sister to move in with the both of them.

At first, they were just friends, him and Gabby. And he tried to keep it that way. Dating one of your roommates? It only sounded like drama was awaiting him down that path. But living together proved to be a hard obstacle that he just couldn't overcome. One thing led to another and eventually it was official that they were a thing. And two years into their relationship, Gabby became pregnant with Chris. This now was a test of Ryan's character. As Gabrielle asserted herself to be against abortion, Ryan felt like he had to man up and mature faster than other men as he was going to be a father at 22.

After Chris was born, the couple got married three years later. One year later, Jeanine moved out of their apartment, and soon after that, Ryan and Gabby moved out too and got their own house to share with their son. And one kid was enough for them, they thought. Chris was a handful; getting into fights when he was young, easily exploding into rage- Ryan figured he wasn't able to handle a second although he wished for a big family. The couple was getting old though. So, they decided to adopt a daughter, Jade Walker. And my god, was it a good or bad decision?

Chris and Jade didn't get along at all. His son would pick on and bully his daughter. And this was what Ryan feared would happen. After an intervention, a family meeting, the son had told his father that Jade was his own replacement. Chris had always been a challenge, but Ryan had reconciled with his son telling him that he was wrong with his accusation. Years later, it seemed that the two teens had put their hatred for each other behind.

Ryan now is 39 years old and is a designer, editor, and coder for a popular website. Gabby is having twins soon, and Jeanine has moved back in with them along with her two young daughters. Jeanine now has terminal cancer and Ryan and Gabby may have to take her children in when she passes.

Ryan is 5'11 1/2. He weighs around 170 lbs and has an average build. His hair is of a dirty blonde and his eyes are a light sea green. Ryan's beard is his pride and joy and he likes to keep it in check, saying he has a certain style to how he wants it.

Ryan is kind of lazy with how he dresses. He usually just puts a fancy jacket over all of his outfits to make himself appear like he tried. Ryan still attempts to look professional and clean when he goes out though. He likes simple, but classy items. Jackets and outer-layers are his thing. His wardrobe consists of contrasting dark and light colors. Black and white are common shades that he likes to wear, and dark blue is another color that he likes. Ryan will dress up and dress down appropriately, but his main style is very simplistic.
