If it makes you feel anybetter, one of the reasons we picked Patreon is due to its security and trust, this site helps fund some of the largest artists and shows and groups around.

I had a panic attack paying for my admission to college. :p I try to avoid those as much as possible. Thanks for trying to help, though. It's been good lately so I'd rather not bring anything onto myself. I'll do my best to support as a Helper.

I donated in January and joined the patreon and still no gold badge. How do I connect my patreon.com account and my rpnation.com account?
 
Donation badges/supporter ribbons are not automatically applied. They're usually done by yours truly at the end of the month. Now that we've changed to Patreon, I'll be doing them after the first of the month because that's when Patreon actually processes the donations and we can get a list from them. So, for March donations, badges and such will be awarded sometime during the first week of April, and so forth.

You do have January's badge, I see. We weren't doing the shark badges back then, but you should get the appropriately-colored shark for your Patreon donation along with any other rewards appropriate to your donation tier.

You shouldn't need to do anything to connect the two accounts, if your username on our Patreon site is the same as your username here. If it is not, please PM me to let me know what your Patreon name is so that I can make sure you get everything you're entitled to. (Don't put it here in public, we'd rather that sort of thing stay private.)
 
I tried sending in a Helper (Artist) Application a few days after this post went up but I haven't received a response back yet. XDD I'm not sure if that means I've been 'denied' or I just screwed up the application process or what on earth happened. XDD

I just checked back to see if I got anything and it had been viewed multiple times so I was like, "O_O God did I do something wrong?"
 
It would be nice to see the occassional site announcement featuring Patreon updates, or a progress bar embedded on the front page again. I think it needs a bit more visibility.

That would require manual work. Its fine the way it is, I don't want to slam it in people's faces.
 
I have a monthly pledge in place now, but my first deduction is scheduled for the 1st of next month. I like this new system.
 
Huh... no lie, this is a pretty good idea to handle donations at this point. Just gotta wait till my next pay check to see what I can put in. Honestly, the selling point is the fact that the transaction occurs on the first of the month... around the time my paycheck comes in. xD

Yeah. I won't lie donations for the past couple of years are something that have been stressing me to all kinds of levels, not because we weren't reaching our goals, the community yhas always been awesome in that way. Its just that we didn't have a real system other then just donating via paypal and paypal likes to freeze accounts a lot when someone does something shady and there wasn't really any other way to keep up with it.

This also slightly encourages monthly donations if the user cans (not say that one times are not welcomed :)! ) but consistency with a community this large is extremely welcomed, so as part of the big update that moved us back tot xF, one of the big things was how we collected money moving forward. Patreon is one of the most trusted names around.
 
We keep reaching the goal, so I have to keep extending it :P.

Figure after a few years of using the site, through two huge updates, many, many, MANY roleplays, and several friends come and gone.

Figure it was time to give yea a few bucks.

Gotta say you may as well have finished your goal in my books, this is indeed the best roleplay site I've had, came here and never left.

I'm not exactly sure what that goal block does since it isn't tied to a financial goal, just the number of people pledged, I keep raising it by 5 each time its met, doesn't seem to do much.
