what I meant by "accelarator vibes" is kind of an inevitability. As science progresses, in particular in the fields of quantum mechanics and physics, things will start to bundle together, given the sheer process of how those things develop. When I said "accelarator vibes" I meant that your powers are based on the free manipulation of fundamental forces or properties, which is basically what the accelarator had. It´s not a kind of power I would recommend to people, but then again, that´s just me and what I pondered about these matters.
 
tbh, still working on coming up with that. My brain has been kinda full in these couple days trying to really nail down all the aspects of my superhero roleplay´s setting
 
Every time I try to come up with a power I remember that Accelerator or someone else has that same power
 
well, maybe there is something in your reasoning? How are you coming up with these powers? Can I take a look at what you thought about?
 
Anything related to vector manipulation, Accelerator has it, electromagnetism manipulation, Misaka and Mugino have it, etc.

So like, you know powers of the sort of "control X", righ? Eletromagnetism manipulation, firebending, telekenis, these are all something I can "free" powers, powers where a character has the full liberty in how to use a particular element and what effects it can produce, that being only limited to their capacility of conceiving that use.

By opposition, non-free powers have a limited specific effect. It´s not controlling something, but raher, powers like "turning you skin to metal", super strength, having the properties of a frog, desintegration upon touch... the effect is one, something is or something happens upon a trigger

They don´t give you as much liberty in how to control them, but in my eyes that´s really more of a bonus than a downside.
 
I don't understand what you mean. Those powers also control something, for example turning your skin to metal you control the carbon in your body, in super strength you have control over your muscles, etc.

But you can't "turn your skin into metal to". With say, fire control, you can control fire into shaping into a weapon, to make light, to make a small fireball or an armor or a stream...

And you need look no further than potato's character for how a more fundamental thing can be applied that way

ok, I think I more or less have an idea for a power now. I am sorry I´ve been so busy, I´ll be sure to make my character tomorrow!
