Alexis Luthor (Legacy)

NecroKnight

Former Elite Death Knight of Decay
Name: Alexis 'Lexi' Meekson nee Luthor

Age: 40

Parents: Lex Luthor, (DNA from various female donors)

History:

Alexis Luthor, was the conceived creation, of when a man lets his obsessions get the better of him. Lexi was to be made, the perfect and best heir, for Luthor' future. Created to be, the equal opposite of Superman' heir. Created in Luthor' best genetic laboratory and forged from the best female DNA Luthor could get his hands on, and his own.

From her birth, she was given the best money could buy. Tutors, gene-mods to enchance her mind and mental capacity. She was created to be a prodigy and raised as such, getting several degrees and patenting many new technologies, by the time around she was a teenager.

While Luthor hoped her, to become the next him - he was in, for a suprising fact, that unlike him, Alexis had no interest in continued the feud between Luthor and Superman. Calling it a 'rantings and fights of a child, who should've let go of the past, years ago' - she had also, no want in continuing the meaningless struggle and opted to do, something better and more productive with her life.

While Luthor, didn't try to stop her - she soon proved, that despite their disagreements, she was still his child. As she had made her own battlesuit to apprehend him, before building up the moment to reveal her true feelings - in addition to that, she had bought out LexCorp, reducing its revenue from the sales via controlled market crashes and leaking of several Luthor' shell-companies and off-shore accounts.

In essence, Luthor' own daughter, had bankrupted him into a pennyless man. With him powerless, she 'retired' her father to the Metropolis Elderly Retirement home - taking control of LexCorp and making an effort to improve Metroplis and the world with her gifts.

After Alcatraz:

Before Alcatraz, Alexis had started to have doubts about the Justice League - as numerous attempts by her and other heroes to get the League in shape, proved to fail. Nobody had the authority nor the power to demand respect - like had during the previous incarnations of Batman, Superman or Wonder Woman. Lexi had even contemplated leaving the League and was in the process of slowly distancing herself from the members - when Ra's al Ghul attacked Alcatraz however, she joined her team for one last battle.

Alcatraz however broke her hope and livelyhood in one stroke - the lack of any good coordination and a commanding leader, ended with the Battle of Alcatraz as a pyhrric victory for the Justice League at best. Alexis being disgusted entirely, both part of helping build the superstructure yet also in having some of her close friends, die in the explosion. After the explosion and great devastation that happened - Overload in her mind, died in Alcatraz. Alongside what remained of the League.

Alexis had difficulty returning to civilian life as well - since the incident eventually was traced back to her own company, whom helped build the facility. Several Senate inquries and a few private inquries later - she was acquitted of all charges as was her business. Namely cause most of what she did operated on the premise of the law - and that while Alcatraz was ten times more armored and defended than Arkham, it fell due to it's cental theme as a Supermax Facility for dangerous Meta-humans.

Despite everything, Alexis felt exhausted - the fallout from Alcatraz being very far-reaching. The Justice League disbanded, with Lexi making no effort in trying to keep it together anymore - namely since she stopped caring for it and having her own fires back home. As the fallout, made her company' stocks drop by almost 43%. It was as near to a take-over or banktrupcy since Lexi took over LexCorp from her biological father. She managed to save it, due to in small-part having access to her bank accounts and billions in savings. However, the resulting damage control and fending off corporate attacks - in addition to clearing her staff of anybody with shady connections - took her toll on Lexi, making her more cynical and curbing her idealism heavily.

Currently:

Since the fall of the Justice League - Alexis has more focused inward and on taking care of herself first. While focusing her efforts on fighting any sort of criminality on the basic human-level. She has devouted herself mostly to running her business and keeping a steady profit - while also aiding the poor and destitute via her various charities and donations. Rebuilding her reputation in the political and economic sector.

Alexis also took the time, to settle down and get married to a lawyer, named Thomas Meekson - with whom she had two children. Despite her non-commitment to being a superhero again - she has maintained, good relationships with the old heroes from her time. While providing technological and economic assistance to the new League.

Personality: She is like her father, calculating, smart and arrogant. But that is where the similarities end, unlike her father - she does also have tempered morals and motive for life. She still acts uppity and snobish, but doesn't shy from criticism. Likes the violin, and hates cats.

She has become slightly more jarred and cynical - after the events of Alcatraz and the aftermath. While nothing could change what had happened - it has made Lexi less trusting and more inward looking. Having lost her trust in the superhero business entirely.

"Regardless of our previous affiliations, Mrs. Meekson, it is still paramount we work together. We both have the same goal, just different beliefs about how to approach said goal. Opposing each other at this point would be a waste of limited resources," Waller said, explaining his stance. Not long before, the two were nigh-bitter rivals in their competition to replace the League with a new entity. Waller championed the more Humanistic approach of restructuring the League. He won. His victory did not come without a cost.

Mrs. Meekson aka Alexis Meekson nee Luthor looked at her counterpart across her desk. Sitting in the finely polstered chair made from snakeskin. Alexis had a cigar between her fingers - a bad habit, to which her husband disliked yet it helped calm her nerves. No doubt it made her look weak - but nowadays she wasn't interested in comparing sizes.

"So. Your actually going through with it? Taking the old and new and smashing them together in hopes it will produce a good force? For someone who puts a good deal on teamwork and order - you have a strange way of rebuilding the League," she spoke. Having initially, when she started TitanGuard to have him support her idea instead of being completely against it.

"The Justice League has become a part of world culture--whether we like it or not. The original seven likely never imagined it would become what it did, and for good reason. When they created it, it was out of necessity. There was no Watchtower then. Just a Hall. A place for them to convene in times of need. The problem, Mrs. Meekson, is that over the decades, the League strayed from that core concept. It became something it wasn't and it failed," Waller explained to her in a dry, matter-of-fact tone.

He saw the smoke from her cigar and only allowed an internal sigh. It seemed petty to him, but pointless in conversation. "We are again building the League out of necessity, but it will not just be an amalgamation of the old and new. It will be structured how I see fit, how my experience best determines threats be faced. The League will be more than that, too. It will be a registration force for meta-humans. A police force for advanced threats. A response force for natural disaster. It is not just a convention of heroes anymore," he explained to her. It was the same speech he gave crowded rooms, however, it lost no impact one-on-one. In fact, his verbose ability increased in these smaller interactions. His odd dominance in a room.

"You honestly think. You have the strength to keep those many heroes. Old, adults and even teens more hyped on glory than understanding in line?" sighed Alexis, as she discarded the cigarette. Reminded of her old times in the League - having both a wish for glory while tempered by logic. But it also failed miserably in the worst case imaginable

Alexis became slightly nostalgic at that, picking up the picture on her desk - of various heroes, her excuse of having been the fan of the Justice League. All of them looked to be her League. Having the then Superman, Red Arrow, Jenna - even Overload on it. A time when they had been heroes and actually worked in unison. It was obvious that she was recalling old memories. Alcatraz left many wounds some more mental than physical

"What, do you wish of me, Waller?" asked Alexis, looking at the man. Slipping the picture into her desk, with a minor glance.

"I have said it a thousand times in my campaign, and I will say it again. The days of heroes... is over. They may where whatever mantle they want, but I will train them like agents. Even if they want to be heroes, they will still abide by the rules like agents. Those that don't will be hunted down as vigilantes. Some even criminals. In this sense, Power is an illusion. A General truly has no more power than a man, yet he commands an army," Waller explained. His defense of the League was Humanistic, his approach to running it... not nearly as much.

A simple cup of black coffee was sat in front of him. He delayed his response to Alexis for a sip of it. Few people in the world would stall Alexis for more than a second, but Waller always had his way of reminding her that this was entirely a gray area. This wasn't the business world where her capabilities were a commodity. "I want your cooperation. The Bat Family has already offered theres, the Lanterns are extending their hand to me again, and recently I had Themyscira and Atlantis offer tentative representives to scout out the new League. The League, in short, is a sure thing. What I am doing is offering a chance for everyone to get in on it, and in doing so, make it stronger. More important, in doing so, make the world safer. Less exploding islands that way," he responded to her. This time, his tone was quite arrogant. She spoke down to him as if he were a weak, lesser man.

"Very smooth going, Waller," replied Alexis, hearing him remind her of Alcatraz. She didn't need a reminder, she visited Nightwing' grave and that of the other heroes whom died on that day every year. The likely argument was soon diffused when her secretary contacted her. "Ma'am, your husband is here and he requiests assistance with the two munchkins..." spoke Helen.

Alexis blushed and groaned - feeling this eroded her status entirely. Although, her face did soften at the mention of her family being there. "Twenty minutes. Thank you, Helen," she replied, before returning to face Waller.

She soon typed something behind her computer - which soon activated a defense system in her office. Sealing the windows, doors in an aluminum sheet. "Access Code: Black Viking" she said, pulling out a PDA and saying it to it. Unlocking the device and handing it to Waller.

"That PDA contains a direct contact to me and my various 'Echo-Grade' technology," she spoke, Echo-Grade being meant to fight against Meta-human or at their level of power. "Call me for what you wish or other things me or my company might be able to provide. 8192-bit locked and encrypted. It safer than Fort Knox. So don't lose it."

"Access Code: deactivate," she spoke, with the shutters soon being lifted. "I guess we have a deal then Waller. Also... I apologise for cutting the meeting short."

"It seems that things with you are always best left short," Waller said. He took the tablet, then slid it into his jacket pocket. With a distinctive smile, he added, "We're both people that are best tolerated in small doses." In the next moment, his body was covered in a dull light, then simply faded out. More than likely, it was Zeta-Beam technology similar to what Batman used. No portal, no terminal, just a signal and he was gone. Only Bats and Cyborg were ever competent enough with the tech to accomplish that--and both were dead. Even his exit was a statement: he had the Bat family in his corner.~

"Pompous jackass," she groaned, leave it to a Waller to try to be the biggest thing in the room. Alexis however was soon ripped from her thoughts by two eager boys hyped on young age and sugar - knocking her out of her chair.
