Combat Ready

maxresdefault.jpg

The sun shines bright on the School of Souls, as it is Mid-day and it had just gotten out. The Captors are released from it's halls and go into the city. The Sisterhood, which are the scholars of the city and overwatch the Core of the city, bustle around the schools entrance as they attempt to move around the Captors.

Some of these Captors were chosen because they had already gotten their Trinkets from early in their life, but there was some that had not yet gotten their Trinket yet. Little did all the Captors know that some time close, they would face life or death.

(Welcome to the Reboot. Waiting to see some of your characters, but I will be posting the first post of it shortly.)

Ashlynn Gringe

Location: Outside of the SoS

Ashlynn stretched as she stepped out onto the streets of Cantor. "You know, I want to help the world and all... but they are putting us through hell in there..." She said as she put the shortened Bo-staff on her belt. She was put through a tough practice before the end of the day. "Seriously though, why don't they go a little easy on us?" She asked no one in particular, just thinking out loud. "Well... at least I don't go back for another week!" She said as she looked around to see the Sisterhood bussling around as well. "Maybe I would have been better off training for the sisterhood.... but why would I want to study all of my life..."

Taro cracked his knuckles and shoulders after his hard day's learning. Taro doesn't really like the theory side of his education; he enjoyed the weapons training the most. He was decent enough at most of his studies, and excelled in Maths, but he never felt more alive when using his duel whip set-up. He is just in his standard clothes - jeans and jacket - as he carries his proper active gear in his duffle bag.

On his way out he passed Ashlynn. She was talking to herself again - no surprise there - and decided a nice chat may relieve the boredom that has welled up inside him for hours.

"Hey, Ashlynn. What's up?"

(i imagine all our characters are in the same class, right? i think it would be fair to say they are at least acquaintances with each other, right?)

Himeko Kaminari

Perhaps at one point or another, Himeko would find herself wishing she had not entered the Academy. Now, however, she held no sort of feeling. She was happy that she was here. Inheriting the sense of justice her late brother had, she simply wanted to protect other people from danger. Currently, the Cringon Souls were the main enemies. With her brother's passing, she enrolled into the Academy to both avenge him and make his wishes come true. Upon enrollment, she received the Trinket her brother had which was originally an arm bracer. She decided to tweak it and then turned it into a pearl bead necklace which she now wears everyday. They weren't exactly letting them use the abilities given to them by these Trinkets so she didn't have any use for them outside of the Academy. Unless there were attacks from the Cringon Souls... though that was highly unlikely to happen. This place was relatively safe and even if the Souls attacked, there was still the matter of many veteran Captors in the Academy.

Himeko snapped out of her thoughts when she noticed two familiar faces. She approached them while trying to think of what their names were. She made a real effort to memorize all of the names in her class so it only took her a moment of thinking to remember who they were. Ashlynn and Taro - two of her classmates.

"Were you training again Taro?" She asked, tuning more to the male first. She knew the guy liked sparring, training and fighting more than the boring classes they all had to sit through. And so she assumed that, from his duffel bag, that he had come from the gym. She then turned to Ashlynn and gave her a nod of acknowledgement and said, "Hello Ashlynn."

Connor walked out of the building with a book in hand and had it open in front of him. It was a bit surprising to see someone like Connor studying right as soon as classes let out. But then again, not everything can be deciphered with a glance. Only the surface would be seen, and it'd take a bit more to get further then just the surface. But for those that knew his determination to be the best, they wouldn't be surprised in the slightest to see that book in front of his face.

The only other thing he had on him, besides his clothes of course, was his backpack that was more then likely filled with more books. He left his Kanabo at the school, why would he need to lug it around with him? He doubted anyone would bother fighting him simply because he went to this school. And if there was someone truly stupid, then his trinket would give him more then enough power to end the fight in one good punch.

He didn't really feel like putting the effort forth to talk to anyone either. He'd be fine if they decided to wander their way over to him and start a conversation, but he was just to lazy to go over and start talking to them.

"Hey guys!" Ashlynn said a bit surprised, not expecting anyone to talk to her. "Didn't expect you guys to sneak up on me... But anyway I am fine, how about you guys?" She asked with a smile as she sighed. "Although... I am getting hungry... Can't decide on what to get for lunch... any ideas?" she asked the two.

Lyteriel watched the students wend their way from the SoS with the Sisters intermingling. The sun sent its rays down to earth only to be deflected by the glassy exteriors of buildings. At peace, he lets himself be carried by the stream of people like a leaf on a broad shining river. Passerby would be able to notice his unusual silver arm band that served as his trinket. He was used to carrying it with him everywhere. A memento of his grandfather, of sorts. Obviously it came in handy in a pinch as well. He casually passed by a group of friends, one of which was saying something about lunch.

"Hmm...what do you prefer?" (To Ashylnn)

Around Taro's neck hangs his trinket - a simple looking amulet with a beautiful purple gemstone in the middle. When it is with him, Taro feels confident. No-one can hide from him when he has this with him.

Himeko Kaminari

"As fine as you'd expect." The brown haired girl replied to Taro. Truly, these days, there weren't much of anything to worry about. Her family was safe and all she had to do was train and study - both of which were quite easy when given the right effort. Her eyes trailed to Ashlynn as she also asked how they were doing. Confident that she heard the reply she made earlier to Taro, she just clamped shut. She then made an inquiry of where to eat lunch. Taro answered with another question. Himeko had other plans though. "If you want something close by, there's a family restaurant close to here. If you want something fancy, I heard Reaver's Cafe has the best coffee around as well as the fanciest cuisine you could ever ask for." She'd never been to the latter. The food was pretty expensive there so she never gave it a shot. Though given the circumstances, she was willing to let go of more than a few bills.

Her eyes darted to the other people who were walking, registering another family face walking in the crowd. Not only was his face burned into her mind, his Trinket also shimmered under the sunlight, obviously showing that he was a Captor. From what she could remember, his Trinket was one of the more obvious ones as opposed to hers which was also a simple bead necklace you'd often mistake for a gift from your mother - a keepsake. "Lyteriel." She softly called out to the male as he passed by. "Where do you think is a good place to eat?" She posed the question as soon as he turned to look at her.

It was unusual, but he thought he heard a soft voice calling his name. He turned and a girl asked her his opinion on where to eat. He recognized his classmate as Himeko the Lightning Princess.

"To eat?" he repeated, his brow quirking slightly. "Hm... the Tower is a good choice." Referring to the skyscraper in the center of the city filled with floors of eateries and shopping areas. It truly was a prime example of capitalism. One could find a variety of foods to satisfy virtually any number of tastes. "Are you going out for lunch now?" A quick glance to the others around her.
