The fox and her guardian

Kaara laid in the hay pile, her blue eyes focusing up on the night sky. She frowned wondering where Tristain had accidently been sent, being alone for awhile now was really getting her upset, she didn't mean to mess up the teleport spell and now she was all alone and frightened. All she wanted right now was Tristain scolding her for messing up. As much as she hated it, she eally wanted that right now, to know he was there for her. Peeking around she assumed that this old barn was abandoned, she had no really idea why. It seemed to be in good shape, it was even more odd since there was cows and horses here.

She rested in the hay, lost in her thoughts wondering if Tristain would ever find her, thats when loud voices and the sound of brush being stomped through could be heard. Her eyes grew wide as she grew scared, the sound of the voices were all men and they were boasting about a nearby village they just got done pillaging. She quickly buried herself into the hay, her covering her mouth with her hands as all the men walked inside the barn, tossing bags full of stuff down. They were bragging about killing, raping and stealing from this village for about a month now, no wonder this barn looked abandoned, they either killed or ran off the eal owners. She sat in the hay trembling, praying for Tristain to find her, there was no way now for her to leave. @Shadows.Whisper

Tristain wandered the roads for some time, Following along the trail until he halted and grabbed for his sword. Something in the air wasn't right...it smelled of death...Smoke and blood...Following the scent he came upon a raided village. Huts were burned and many villagers were killed and hurt. Stopping to help staunch the wounds of a survivor as he helped the townsfolk he asked. "What happened here?...And did anyone see anything resembling a bubble pass trough?" He asked, growing worried about His Kaara now that he knew things like this happened in this area she sent them too. The man he was helping grasped his arm as blood pooled and flowed over Tristains hand as the light slowly began to fade from the mans eyes. "B....bandits.....W...went further South...TO...To the old farm....Bubble....W..Went that way.......Bleh..." Was all the man managed to pass on before his final breath passed. Laying him down with respect he whispered a soft prayer before turning to the nearby elder. "Which way to the old farm?" He asked the woman softly and as soon as he had a direction he drew his sword. The blade was made from a strange meteor Metal and lined with enchanted Elven Silver and further enhanced by runes and A few Spells from Kaara. As he drew the blade his horns changed as his eyes went from a bright Emerald to deep Golden color that glowed, his horns veined in a vibrant Sapphire color along with the similar design on his chest. Turning toward the Farm he raced off with speed unlike any human would ever know, he just hoped that when He got there he'd find Kaara, and hopefully she'd be safe from the Bandits prowling the village.

A few hours had past and it seemed that these men were going to be up the whole night, with all the drinking and boasting they were all doing. It was vulgar what they were saying to one another, them cheering about raiding a nearby village and just their detailsed stories about raping young woman infront pf their families and killing children, it killed her on the inside. Covering her mouth with her hands she started to breathe heavier and tear up a bit, so many sould lost in such a terrible way. Squirming a bit, she moved the hay a bit as some slid from the pile to the ground. It made some noise, but nothing that could be heard over there loud chatter. She held herself, wishing Tristain was here,  he wouldn't stand for any of this and put these no good men to rest.

After awhile all the men seemed to settle down a bit, a few drifting of to sleep it seemed and a few still chatting amongst themselves. It wasn't much longer before one of the men stumbled outside, it seemed he was trying to go to the restroom, but was quite drunk and just stumbling against the side of the barn. Hearing the stream hit against the wood, she bit her cheeks so she didn't make any noise, keeping as still as possible until the man grunted out a "huh?" The sounds of his heavy steps drawing closer to where she was hiding. His gruff voice was loud and sounded slurred. "Damn wolves diggin' the hay....mmrrrrr... somethin' dead in it or what?!" After a few unrecognizable words and mumbles, he began to dig into the hay pile. Kaara squirmed and tried to move deeper in, but it was too late. The mans face was right in hers as he moved away the last bit of hay. Her eyes were wide full of terror as he grabbed her arm and pulled her out.

Her ears dropped back and her tail tucked between her legs as the man gave her a wicked grin. "Well, well, well what we have here? A scared lil mouse? Aheheheh.." He pulled her closed to him as he called for the other men, her shrieking from his rough grip. "L...let go of me!!!" Tears pooled in her light blue eyes, she was scared and trembling as the other men came out of the barn, their comments on what they were going to do to her were fool and horrid. Squirming and breathing faster, she tugged her arm trying to break from the mans grip, but it was too late, the est of the men had her surrounded. She looked around and than screamed out to the only person she knew who would save her. "Tristain!!!!!!!" She cried as these horrible man began to touch her withe their filthy hands.

Just as quick as the hands of the bandits had touched Kaara did they soon leave her skin....as well as that of the arms of the men as screamed and writhed in pain, clutching at their bloody stumps as Tristain now stood between the reprobates and Kaara, his sword humming as the blood of the men dripped from the edge. His horns glowing into a burning crimson as his rage was so palpable in the air it could be felt as heat around the man as he looked down at Kaara. "Thank the gods.....You better not be hurt....stay put while I handle....them..." He said, his voice dark with his anger and a coldness only a warrior familiar with battle would have. Turning from Kaara he looked to the men who were now joining their injured friends, roused by their screams of pain as they drew blades against him which only made the castanic grin in bloody delight. "Oi!! What be this then!? You thinkin` you can run up in here and mess wiff me boys like that!? Yer takin` a piss if ye be thinkin` that mate! Let's give `em a taste of what we give to the old villages eh?" Their leader shouted to Tristain as he faced them all and raised a brow, so this was the man who burned that poor village.

"Yeah.....let's see about that." Was all he said before he dove in, dropping to a knee and sliding across the ground in a swift motion, bringing his silver blade through the stomach of a man spilling his entrails to the floor as he blocked the sword stroke of another and kicked him into a nearby pitchfork propped against an abandoned wagon. The fight was short but bloody; and at the end Tristain stood over the leader; his sword at the man's throat. "You hurt innocent people tonight....many died....and many more lost their homes in your fire in that village.....But all that I could forgive......" He said, and delivered to the Bandit a bloodthirsty smirk as the man looked relieved at the prospect of forgiveness. "But touching MY Kaara.....Putting filthy hands not fit to wash her feet on her body...that....That is something you take to your grave..." He said before sliding the blade across his throat. With the last bandit dead he turned to Kaara, sheathing his blade as his coloring returned to normal and he just hugged her. pulling her in tightly and holding her close. inhaling her scent and just letting hr presence center him and calm the warrior inside.
