On The Side

This roleplay forum is for side roleplays only. It has been specifically designed for the times when the roleplay is slowing down due to members being attacked by real life. Here you can create side stories and roleplays for the Red String. There are a few guidelines to keep in mind before creating a new thread.

Rules:

1. All On The Side threads must be contained in the Red String setting. Please do not create an entirely new setting for your threads. This is not for space fighting future roleplays or zombie ridden candy fields, it is for The Red String, a semi-realistic and modern rp.

2. When creating a thread, please include a brief summary of its current setting. This can whether be written out directly, or it can be explained through the actual roleplay (example: it was a cold winter's afternoon that Halloween night in the town of Cadbury).

3. You cannot decide on who the other characters that join the mini-rp will be. If you were hoping to have a member join with a character who is dating your character, but they instead choose to join as your character's brother, that is their choice. Members can join any mini-rp as whatever kind of character they like, which may not necessarily be the one you were hoping for.

4. This is not a 1x1 forum. Do not make any private threads. Once a mini-rp thread has been created, it is open to all members and anyone can post in it.

5. Do not roleplay here in the mini-rp forum as your Red String character(s). The only exception to this rule is when your are roleplaying a past event, as in an event that occurred before the beginning of the Red String Roleplay (even then, no 1x1 or private threads still).

6. Roleplay here as brand new characters. Character forms are not required, just create a thread or jump right in a preexisting one and start roleplaying.

7. Feel free to create your own Red String stories here in On The Side. Will there be romance and soulmates, friendship and teamwork, or tragedy and heartbreak?

8. Any characters brought to life through On The Side are welcome to become actual characters of The Red String. Simply finish up the mini-rp that they are in, and then create a character form for them in the Character section.

9. This thread is simply meant to pass time and keep the roleplay alive. It is not meant as a way to roleplay out a characters past. It is simply meant as a fun way to explore the ideas contained within the Red String while awaiting for life to free our roleplay comrades.

10. If The Red String roleplay is alive and experiencing progress, please roleplay there instead of here. This is, again, only meant to pass time and keep things alive when members are being kidnapped by life. Should this forum instead result in the delay of the actual Red String Roleplay thread then it will be deactivated and removed.
