DISTRICTS

Shima City is shaped like a circle, and is divided into five districts. Each of the four cardinal directions is ruled by one of the four schools. Let’s take a look at each, shall we?

Rose District

A circular shaped district in the center of Shima. It's full of shopping centers, bars, and other fun recreational places to hang out. It's also where a lot of the shit goes down despite it being known as the “neutral zone”. Rose District has no school, and therefore, no gang. University of Shima is located in Rose District however, and many of the graduates of other schools end up in UOS. You can imagine how chaotic that can become.

Rose District is divided into unofficial fourths during festivals, with each gang taking a piece of the pie. These slices are known as White Rose, Blue Rose, Black Rose, and Red Rose. I'm sure you can guess why.

Notable Hot-Spots

 • La Lune Bar and Jazz Lounge: A classy lounge for those that want to slow down and enjoy the local jazz bands and occasionally a few special guests. La Lune was recently wrecked in the showdown between the Tigers and the Cobras.
 • Strike’s Bowling Alley: A bowling alley in Red Rose known to be frequented by the Spectres. Every Saturday night they have a glow in the dark party.

North District

Home of the White Tigers. North District is "The Rich District." There's tons of suburbs and high end stores in this area. A lot of businesses, fancy restaurants, golf courses, and Country Clubs are in North District. The White Tiger High base is known as “The Den” You can check out its outside appearance below.

On the surface, the Den looks like a very high end mansion for the elite. It’s large, ornate, and has a pool that would make a lake blush. But down below in the secret basement...the place basically looks like a military base. There’s training rooms, an infirmary… yeah, Tiger money goes a long way.

White Tiger High is several stories tall. The majority of the school is indoors, with the exception of their track, their football stadium (which is also used for soccer) and their baseball field, all of which are of high enough quality to host professional athletes. The pool and basketball court are indoors. It is the most well funded school and so there is a plethora of programs and the newest equipment is readily available for students to take advantage of. White Tiger High has a four period system, with each period being about 90 minutes long with Lunch in the middle. Clubs meet after school of specific dates. WTHS has the best Marching Band, Debate Team, and Soccer team. Students are required to wear uniforms and must walk to each of their classes.

Notable Locations

 • The Den: The White Tiger High base of operations. Reserved entirely for the White Tiger’s youth branch, it is a popular hangout spot. 3rd and 4th years even receive private rooms on the top floors… if they’re willing to pay for them.

South District

Home of the Black Cobras. South District is known as "The Party District." It's filled with apartments and homes and fast food chains. It lives up to the name, people get wild over here. Its boardwalk theme park Funworld can often be rather dangerous, especially if you're bold enough to walk in there wearing another gang’s colors. The effect of poverty in South District is highly evident. You can check out Funworld below.

Funworld is a huge theme park and certainly the main attraction in South District other than the Boardwalk (the two nicest places in the District). The Cobras tend to hang out in the park and have meetings after dark when the park is shut down.

Black Cobra High School is the poorest school and it shows. It is a matrix of many buildings, only two of which are multiple stories. And those would be the cafeteria and the library. The rest of the buildings are single story, have cramped halls, and have many many seats per class as opposed to having a lot of classes. Their textbooks are from the 80s. There is a gazebo in the middle of the school where the delinquents hang out. BCHS has a bare minimum football field, basketball court, and track, but they host the best Basketball Team, Dance Club, and Jazz Band despite having meager funding. They don't have a pool. BCHS has a six period system of about 50 minutes each with lunch in the middle and the shortest school year of all the districts. Students walk to each of their classes, and do not have to wear uniforms.

Notable Hotspots

 • Funworld: A theme park enjoyed by many of Shima’s residents during the day, but it can still be pretty dangerous if you arrive wearing a little too much red, white, or blue. The Cobras meet here after dark.

 • The Boardwalk: The Boardwalk is miles of stores along South District’s beach. It’s known as a really safe place to do drugs as long as you keep your shit together.

 • The Fields: Short for “The Rubble Fields”. A deserted part of Shima close to the border of South District and East District. The apartments here were abandoned during an economic crisis some 40 years ago. All that remains now are the tall empty buildings, and the debris from decimated buildings. The area is known to be one of the most dangerous places in Shima.

 • Wake and Bake: The bakery where Glasper and Evey bought Suzumaki’s birthday cake.

West District

Home of the Red Spectres. West District is newly known as, "The Broken District." It used to have the reputation of the most powerful district, "The King District", until two years ago when an earthquake caused a huge tsunami to flood half the district. The people are still recovering. The Survivor is located in one of the more decrepit parts of the district. You can check it out below. It’s supposed to be a good handful of stories shorter than it is in the picture lol. Like about four stories.

Red Spectre High School was one of the first places to be renovated after the tsunami, and as such the school now has a newer look to it. It is similar to BCHS in that it is separated into buildings but each building is actually divided into subjects. There are four in total: English and History, Science and Math, Art and Music, and the Gymnasium. However, most of them are all single story. There are many places to hang around outside. The football stadium is the pride and joy of the school, and is almost comparable to the Tiger stadium thanks to a billionaire who financed it after the tsunami. RSHS hosts the best Football Team, Schoolastic Decathlon, and Drama Club. They have an optional 6-7 period schedule with lunch after 4th period. Students may have a 6 period schedule (1->6 or 2->7) or a 7 period schedule if they're overachievers. Students are not required to wear uniforms.

Notable Hotspots

 • The Survivor: A building that survived the tsunami due to its height and strength. It has become a symbol of the Spectres’ perseverance. Since the old base was destroyed, the Survivor has become their new base.

 • Astro Burger: A popular burger joint renowned all over Shima, however their only location is in West District. Astro Burger tends to be crowded round the clock, and for good reason. The food is out of this world!

East District

Home of the Blue Dragons. East District is known as "The Spiritual District." There's a bunch of temples, gardens, and parks. You know, like really natural areas. The construction here is minimal to allow for a more natural way of life, complete with more mom and pop restaurants than chain restaurants. Ascension is the biggest and prettiest garden in the area. You can check it out right under here.

Blue Dragon High School has a lot of outdoor space. The basketball courts, dojos, and aerobic rooms are in the gym, while the football field and soccer field are shared, and in the center of the track. However, BDHS has a better baseball field than the other schools. Almost all of the buildings are single story with the exception of the administration building. Each of the buildings simply have rows of classrooms, there are no hallways. There's a ton of trees around campus and lots of places to sit and chill. There's a hill in the middle of the school with a giant weeping willow on it that a lot of people like to sit under. BDHS has the best Baseball Team, Art Club, and Chess team. They have a 5 period schedule with lunch after 2nd period. Their 5th period is usually a club and is technically "after school" but not really. Instead of traveling to their classes, they stay in the same class and teachers come to them unless there's a lab or something that day. They are required to wear uniforms.

Notable Hotspots

 • Ascension: The biggest garden in East District. The tall pagoda that the Dragons meet in and train in was built by The Eastern Family.

 • The Jade Sunset: Isaac’s grandparents’ Vietnamese restaurant.

 • Kokoro: The sushi restaurant in which Suzumaki will have her birthday celebration.
 • Kazehana Tea Garden & Cafe: It’s exactly what the fuck name implies. A cafe with indoor seating and a tea garden with outside seating.
