He got odd looks from every dragon he passed, most assuming he'd forgotten his tools at his home, but a few tried to crane their necks to see where he was going in such a hurry. Thankfully, there weren't any dragons he could see by the western exit-- the fastest way to reach the origin of that smokey scent. "Got... gotta hurry!" He grunted, his heavy footfalls echoing off out of the village, disappearing into the wilderness. As he charged ahead, he made sure to hold his breath for as long as possible, before loosing it up into the air, hoping it'd dissipate before it touched any of the plant life.
Though it was much, much longer than flying, soon enough he burst forth from the heavy wooden foliage, and into a large stretch of plains. And, sure enough, he could see the still-black smoke long before he could see the village-- though it wasn't hard for the dull-eyed dragon to see a billowing black cloud of smoke so large it even made Gallacticas seem small. He swallowed, as he thought about the idea that a dragon could be down there, or worse: that a human could still be there. Still, he had no time for such thoughts and worries: he had to hurry, and bring whomever was still in that human settlement back to their village, pronto!
Loosing a three-headed roar, he pounded down through the tall grasses of the plain, which were tall enough to come up to his knees. He needed to make haste, and by the heaviness of his footfalls, one could tell that, indeed, he was in a hurry.
