I'll see about getting a post up here in a few mins, there's not much for Veronica to comment on, but I suppose her response to The Flirting Menace Gran will determine a little bit of Rosewater's dialogue. Aight, gimme a sec, I'll get working on it ( '^')
 
Nah, I got a post in the works, should be done in a few minutes, I don't want to hold the Fun Train up any longer than I have to :3
 
To be fair I'm at work right now and couldn't make a long post amyway. Fun Train ' s getting braked for a bit regardless!

Understandable, work and school does tend to take priority over play. Still, I'm excited to see where this is headed. I have a question though, I know we have to work our way up the ranks to earn new powers and such, but how long do you think it might take us to reach some of the higher levels, A or B for example? I mean, those are obviously the points at which our characters start to master their powers, but do you think they could "accidentally" use some of their higher level abilities to a minor extent? I'm actually thinking about using some of them for purely comedic effect, like Veronica directing a spray of water out of a glass at Gran or turning it to ice in anger or something like that, just wanted to see if little "slip-ups" like that were acceptable as long as they weren't totally under control kind of stuff. xD
 
And done with my post. I can see Veronica starting to warm up to Gran's personality, he's just so forward that she has to mentally tell herself that she's dealing with a mental kindergartner xD Though Vuokko covering for her earned big points in Veronica's book, I can see them being good friends along the road. So, let's see where this orientation gets us, I'm stoked to get to the first mission already, let's see some action, some combat! Yeah, go team! ( 'O')9
 
Well, I am going to try to keep the majority of the players on a somewhat even keel. The general rank ups will happen either every certain number of missions (higher ranks need more mission, obviously) or when certain circumstances (plot progression stuff) call for it. Given how I thought of characters unlocking their abilities I generally assume that they can do some small, inconsequential, undamaging things with their affiliated element. Some slip ups like you suggested are fine as long as the "real" powers themselves aren't useful in any combat capacity.

@CoreyXIX Perhaps a bit more from Mr. Rosewater would be appropriate? I don't know what we're supposed to respond to as far as the orientation, we kind of just ended up in the lobby and are waiting for Mr. Rosewater to lead us on the grand tour, perhaps adding on a bit at the end, a description of the next room we enter to give us a place to poke around a bit? :)

Huh, guess my phone didn't save the post like it was supposed to. I had another paragraph that was supposed to be there. Thanks for pointing that out, let me fix that!
 
On another note, I've requested a second IC tab so we can have some separation between the affairs at the office and mission in order to prevent any confusion from occurring. Honestly I hope to use it soon!


Also, did I ever mention what city this took place in? Because if not I should probably get on that.

Nice. I'm working on details for everyone's first mission (a group mission for this one, as a lot of plot-central will probably be) in between bouts of working on a Pathfinder character for a friend's game.

Well, not really. I mean all you did was make a suggestion in character as far as I can tell. I just got a bit busy because work and stuff, so I hadn't had time to reply. Plus, I was hoping to get one or two more people to post before continuing. I generally have a 'let a couple people reply' policy before I make a next post.
 
Sorry I haven't replied too recently. I had some rather busy days with work, my sister coming home from college, some friends coming back to town from college, and so forth. I will work on a post asap. Right now, actually.

Heya Sparky, glad to could make it :D By the way, I noticed in your CS that you had "Earth" listed as your element, but all your powers are Air, wasn't sure if ya missed that somehow ( ^_^ )\

Opps! I was originally going to make him earth based, but decided air was better, I'll fix it :3
 
Hopefully my first post is good. I tried making it funny and...well, really just humorous. I do apologize for the wait, first posts are a pain to me...
