Fantasy Everlock Castle (Open and Accepting)

"Sure," Milo replied, smile growing as he held out a hand, "Would you like to hold my hand? Perhaps we can skip? Or you give me a piggy back ride! Up to you."

His expression, tone, body language, and even the usual ghostly glow all softened a bit, gaze lowering with a small, gentle sigh. "I know where we can go, though," he said.

@Crimson smile

"Let's Skip!" Kota cheered mood brightening when he saw Milo's mood dimming. An attempt to rub his own cheerful mood onto the ghost. "Lead the way Milo. "

Nodding, the two gleefully skipped from the tower, down the stairs, through the halls - with some unnecessary turns and detours - and right out of the castle. Eventually the skipping slowed, reducing to a figuratively bright walk as the two almost left the estate line.

Where they were now, you could definitely smell the salt, feel it's ocean air rip through your very soul, and feel the ground quake under your feet as the waves crashed against the cliff side. Sure, there was a beach below but it was pencil thin, constantly degraded deeper down by the rushing tides. "Here we are," he stated, pausing to take a breath.

@Crimson smile

"Why are we here?" Kota asked confused peering over the cliff and into the crashing waves. Of course he knew Milo's story but he still wanted a confirmed answer.

There was actually a moment of silence; whether or not Milo was trying to decipher what the other said over the roar of waves was a mystery. But he finally did respond, nodding his head lightly as he came to the edge, hands in his jacket pockets. "Not sure," the raven replied, leaning far over the edge to examine the raw shore below, "To get away from the crowds? Maybe?"

Normally, he would've come here himself, and yet here was Kota, who he had deliberately brought. Huh.

@Crimson smile

"It's a nice place." Kota mumbled sitting down his feet dangling off the edge. Looking down at the waves his twisted mind began planting the causes of his current irritation within the waves. Screaming as they drowned. Sighing contently he looked up at Milo. "I understand why you come here."

His gaze flickered down, eyebrows elevated curiously. "Oh? Do you?" he wondered. Frankly, all of his emotions, from the moment he arrived, were already mixed and part of the sea. It was nice - nice enough, actually, for ghastly ivy to sprout from the hard earth and curl loosely around his ankles.

@Crimson smile

"Hmm." Kota hummrd in confirmation as he turned back to watch the waves. "Yea. It's calming and there isn't a whole bunch of people. You can think and not be bothered. "

Milo gave a light laugh, nodding his head as he took a moment to examine the human. "Bingo," he confirmed with a soft, jovial tone, "Or, at least something like that." Plopping down beside the other, he leaned into view. "Hm.. Hey, Kota?"

@Crimson smile

"What was it like?" he asked, "You know, back with all the stupid living people?"

He knew the story kinda, but he wanted to know more details anyways. Milo was a bit conflicted because he felt bad about prying, but he was entitled to knowing something deeper about the kid.

Not really, but you get the point.

@Crimson smile

"Stupid living people?" Kota repeated blinking at Milo as he wondered who he could mean. Nose scrunching Kota shook his head peering up at Milo. "You mean my parents and nanny? Well to be honest there isn't much to tell. My parents didn't like me because I could see ghost and they thought I was crazy because they couldn't. They didn't want me to bring them shame but couldn't get rid of me without bringing attention to themselves so instead they faked my death and sent me to live with a Nanny. They visited for a bit but eventually stopped and my Nanny raised me. We were close when I was younger but as I grew she started drifting away and when she got married her husband didn't want to raise a kid that wasn't his. So she quit and my parents deemed me old enough to live on my own and sent me here. All in all they were all very distant and tried to keep me at arm's length. I'm pretty sure my siblings don't know about me and my memories of my nanny aren't exactly clear anymore. At least not the ones where we were close. Why?"

He listened diligently, nodding his head every now and then to prove that he was listening. It was all very interesting, it really was. When it was his turn to make a response, the ghost only shrugged. "I was just curious," Milo responded, "Even though it wasn't any of my business or anything. Just wondering, that's all."

Cassiopea sigh as she look at the book that she was reading as she stood up and walk outside the house as she look at her tiger and smile as she pet it on the head "hello there Calixto" she said with a smile "the people here are sure nice" she said as the lion shook its head and the spider tap her head as Casssiopea wonder why they disagree to her.

"Alright." Kota shrugged turning back to look at the sky above the waves. He began to hum a old lullaby as he watched the distant waves that seemed to crash against the sky. He held bitterness toward his childhood simply because his parents were snobs who kept any family that could love him away. They chose their image over their own child. Then there was his nanny who was like his big sister growing up but she chose a man she had known for not even a year over a boy she practically raised. He was bitter because everyone left him but in all honesty that was as bad as his childhood got. He never lacked for money or food. He grew up feeling numb to the world and it was only when he got to Everlock Castle that he didn't need to worry about others leaving him. None of the ghost could leave Everlock so as long as he stayed here he wouldn't have to be alone.

Perhaps it was just ghost's intuition, but he could...feel the type of energy faintly radiating from Kota. Milo shrugged, looking up at the dark sky. "I didn't even have anyone to take care of me," the ghost said, "Everyone hated me and insulted me, treating me like dirt. I didn't have a Nanny that cares about me, even if they left me one day. To me, you're a little lucky. But I dunno.."

@Crimson smile

"Maybe I am." Kota spoke raising his vice enough to just barely be heard over the waves. "Or maybe you are. Who knows. Maybe it's better to have had someone and lost them then to have no one. Or to have no one so you never had to go through the pain of losing them. Either way we don't know and we shouldn't dwell on it. The past is in the past and once you find closure you should move on and live for the future. Or rather live for the afterlife. After all we may not know how it felt to be in each others shoes in the past but we do share a present. Something I think we can agree is much better then either of out past. "

"You make an excellent point," Milo agreed with an extremely light tone. All heavy thoughts decided that they'd flutter off elsewhere for the time being, so the ghost himself was starting to feel very light in weight. Smiling to himself, he looked to the sky, kicking his legs out in front of him for a brief moment. "Hm... How lucky that I know a smart human~"

@Crimson smile

"Very." Kota nodded seriously. Standing with a gleeful smile on his face and a demented look in his eyes. "Now how about we go get rid of a few of the irritations around the castle."

"Like having my head fall off again like last time?" he wondered, looking over at the human. "Erik will get mad at us if something happened to his prey.. Of course, I could just lure 'em around with the whole deer thing."

It was a stag thing. Whatever.
