Kianna was kidnapped by G.E.N.E when she was 4. They tortured and experimented on her until she developed into a leopard hybrid at 5. After that they trained her as a hunter and tortured her if she disobeyed or defied them. Kianna was used to hunt down runaways and traitors at 7 and until G.E.N.E. ended when she was 9. She was very glad when the scientists brought them to the island.

Ivan Romanoff

Scientist Position:

Recuperative surgeon / Psychotherapist. In the rare cases when he was allowed to, Hans acted as the go-to surgeon, helping nurse quite a few tortured Hybrids back to health. He also helped talk out the problems of some of the younger or more distressed patients, acting as a a source of comfort in the facility. Mostly, when a Hybrid was too shaken to be responsive, they'd take him or her to Ivan and let the recuperate before sending them back to the brutalities. (Ivan, of course, was oblivious of this for a good while.) While there, he was also asked to take experimental data that he found in injured hybrids for use in the larger program

Nationality: Russian

Strengths: Ivan is a a great psychotherapist, and despite the extreme trauma in the old Hybrid facility, he's helped quite a few of the escaped hybrids recuperate emotionally from the extreme stress they went through. He's also a trained trauma and orthopedic surgeon, and though he's not specialized in certain fields, he can definitely pull off tough maneuvers like limb joint reconstruction or soft tissue work.

Weaknesses: Despite being a great psychotherapist, Ivan is still incredibly naive (medically and emotionally), and is actually one of the more inexperienced scientists. Even though he's (relatively) young and virile, unlike his colleagues, Ivan is still really out-of shape, and incredibly nearsighted.

Occupation: Despite being one of the big three scientists, Ivan's not nearly as old as his colleagues, and is still an absolute workaholic. He acts as the island's in-house psychotherapist and orthopedic surgeon.

Personality: Ivan is a cheerful, peppy scientist, unlike the stereotype of cold, analytical shits in lab coats . He absolutely loves talking to people, and will take your ear off given a few minutes, much to the annoyance of his two superiors. Before he figured out about the brutality committed on the Hybrids in the old facility, Ivan was incredibly naive, and even though he has wisened up, he's still incredibly gullible and naive for his age. Sometimes, he gets crazy and idiotic ideas, but most of the time, he's just cheerful and respectful towards his patients.

Likes: Fishing, talking to others, angering Atticus, and the feel of nerve tissue.

Dislikes: Darkness and broodiness, stiff people, and cookie dough.

History:

Ivan never had a terribly brutal childhood. In fact, it seemed great! He was a prodigy in his classes, had loving parents, and even talked the bullies out of hitting him, making friends with them in the process. The fact that he never suffered pain while he was young may have led his mostly naive but positive outlook on life. Either way, his accelerated learning abilities earned him a spot in one of the top American colleges at the young age of 16. Graduating early at the age of 22 with two degrees, Ivan decided to shoot for the stars: The H.Y.B.R.I.D Program.

Ivan had a late start, but nevertheless, he still found a spot in the program. Filling in for a some currently missing spots in the H.Y.B.R.I.D Program as both a trauma surgeon and a psychotherapist, Ivan operated as an unknowing aide to H.Y.B.R.I.D's schemes, helping and healing traumatized and wounded Hybrids, only for them to be sent back into the field to be hurt again. Being hopelessly naive as he was, Ivan never saw the Hybrid program for what it truly was, and though he helped many Hybrids, he never believed the tales they told him. Well, at least for a while.

Then, December 15th, it all turned around. While visiting with a particular repeat casualty named Roman who Ivan had gotten to know well during his time at the facility, the Hybrid finally convinced Ivan that the project was abusing them. It really only took seven words. Seven words to reveal the whole truth to Ivan. "Look in my side," Roman said. "Read the bullet." Though the good surgeon never believed a word of it, after removing the printed bullet from Roman's side, the terrible knowledge hit him. On the side was the logo of Hybrid itself. At that time, everything came crashing down onto Ivan like a wave. He'd heard all the stories before from abused Hybrids, but until now, he'd dismissed them as fiction. Now, he felt betrayed.

That was when he started scheming. After meeting the senior scientist Atticus and another scientist from another division, Ivan conspired to help bring down the project. On that fateful Christmas day, hoping to truly save the Hybrids this time, Ivan aided in the massive escape to Hybrid Island.
