He started with a blink. The surrounding was no longer the plain, cream-colored walls of his bedroom. He was now staring at a red-painted ceiling so high it could very well be the sky itself. The other senses rushed forth into his being. Smell of baked bread and roasted meat. Voices of people blending into one incomprehensible murmur. The feeling of cold bricks supporting his body, which is laying on a bright, shining circular area on the ground.
He quickly sat right up.
The body he is "inhabiting" now responded almost immediately. He was actually still amazed by how natural this all feels. For a moment he had actually forgotten that his "real" body was sitting motionless in his room, connected through the VR device to the game network. This is surely not his first VR game, but the fact that such feat is possible at all still managed to amaze him.
He surveyed his surrounding. The area seems to be a bustling city situation within a circular building, which walls he could see in the distance, obstructed by rows and rows of houses and merchants' stalls. The sky was covered by the ceiling, yet the place was well-lit with street lamps. The place had lots of people passing and going, some looking at his way but quickly lost interest and continued on their way. On the top of their head hovered a text showing their name. Kayana The Great. Shemus Shemus. A dog-like humanoid with the name of Doggie292. He instinctively looked up and expected to see his own name hovering above him. When he saw it, he couldn't help but smile.
Billy The 1337. That is clearly the name he had decided on. Yes, surely. He had successfully logged in to the game.
He blinked once more. A shining text appeared briefly in front of his eyes before disappearing in an instant.
"Welcome to the world of Eternal Horizon. Thank you for playing."
He quickly sat right up.

When she saw the name, she smiled. Bill the 1337. She couldn't help but talk to him. Even though she saw a lot of more people, she decided to talk to him. She just spawned and everything was new. She unsteadily went towards him and said " Hey there. I like your name. Its quite funny. Are you new here as well? "
