Fantasy Super-Delinquents

Joe Delia Jones

He took a deep breath and the smoke filled his lungs. He let out a sigh of relief, until the feeling of being slightly crushed covered his body. He used the shadows inside his throat to make a flat hand that grabbed the cigarette. He looked at the two heroes and listened to them talk. He listen to the girl talk about herself, she also explained her power. When her arm split he just looked with a raised brow. He was slightly impressed, neat power, he could corrupt her if he got the chance and turn her to his way of thinking. He may of been a little hot headed and rushed into things but he could be persuasive when the need arises.

He plotted he revenge in silents, if he had acess to the shadows other than the ones inside himself or his clothing, he could of killed these two and went on with his day. A quick thrust of super dense shadows too the head would break th eknights helm and he would have to slip a shadow inside the girl so he could control the darkness in her and make her inti a bomb. But alas, he had no acess to the shadows of the world.

He wanted a grilled cheese, if only he had a pan and a way to cook... dame. He was stuck here without a grilled cheese or any food for that matter. He looked at The Gilded Knight. "
Hey, kid. Could you reach into my left pocket amd grab my wallet. There is a hot dog stand over on ther next corner and i am starving. I got ten thousand dollors in cash, go ahead and buy something for you and the lady as well. Shit go ahead and take what you need i ain't going to need it in prison." He closed his eyes agian and took another drag.

Kay "Malice²" Cross

The young woman chuckled lightly when the Gilded Knight told her she had nothing to worry about and offered a light smile. It was refreshing to know he had a sense of humor, maybe she wouldn't have to watch the way she speaks all that much after all. "I'm glad you're not too butthurt about it!" She blurted out, only to immediately quirk a brow and add; "Sorry... that probably sounded rude, didn't it? I suck at being a person in general, to be honest..." This wasn't just a reveal of her social awkwardness; it really was quite difficult for the cancerous cells that formed Kay's exterior to maintain a stable shape other than Kane's own. It was no surprise that it drained him enough to cause a solid two hours of sleep when he created her. She was likely his most successful spawn yet, albeit her built-in flaws likely put her in second place right after his... other little monster. But that was a story for later.

When the knight
mentioned that her hero name might be the cause of bad PR, Kay couldn't help but chuckle a second time. "That's kind of the point, actually; I don't care about PR! I just want to do good... and if the villains think I'm scary, I don't mind if people in general think so too." This was an oddly ballsy way of thinking for her, but it was also a testament to her own self-confidence.

What followed was the knight's compliment of her powers and morality. "
Hehe... if you think that's awesome, you don't wanna know what my brother can do. His powers are so great he's basically a god! The only reason he isn't here with me is he's afraid he might kill the villains by accident..." With that, she turned her head to the villain. "No offense to you, tall dark and gloomy. I'm sure you could survive one or two hits... on a good day... if you're wearing ten inches of diamond hard armor... maybe..." This revealed two things about Kay; one, she was painfully aware of just how powerful her brother/father/maker was and two, she knew even trying to fight against Kane would be a complete waste of time.

But then came the last question, about why the technology hadn't been shared with the police. "
Well... there are two reasons for that..." She uttered, scratching the back of her head shyly. Her brother had given her some information on what to say if that ever came up but she wasn't sure exactly how much she was able to tell willy nilly. "The first one is political. You're familiar with the PCO, the Powered Control Operations, right? My brother is afraid that if they get any more power than they already have and gain access to this tech through the police, they will abuse the technology to rid the world of ALL powered individuals. The second one is more... paranoid, I guess? But it's related to the first one. It's not the room that cancels out powers, but the radiation created by a device. If its output is increased exponentially, it could completely cancel out the powers of all superhumans on earth. Also, if it was in the wrong hands, it could be conveniently shrunk down to become the perfect portable anti-powered weapon. I think, as someone with super powers, you understand even better than I do why that would be le suck. Basically, it's just better that only one person knows how to use it and that that person is a fellow super, don't you think?" She uttered this with a bright smile and started tugging lightly on the light construct that held the prisoner, pulling them both towards the location she intended to head to. Meanwhile, Kane himself had bought enough time through her explanations to get to that same location in person and put on a blank white mask and a suit which would maintain his anonymity. "And now we wait..." He thought in contemplation.

Gecko

"Some help would be appreciated!" Said Gecko as the villain fired a huge bolt of electricity which barely missed him. Gecko had no time to wait, he launched himself at the villain and landed a punch to his face, his rough scales digging into his flesh. The villain decided to pull his old trick with the wind, he raised Gecko into the air and flung him against a wall.

Gecko pulled himself up, he was extremely resilient, able to recover from wounds relatively quickly. "The villain looked at him and sighed.

"Why are you so flipping hard to kill! Just leave me alone!" Gecko watched as the villain raised his hands, making them glow electric blue as he prepared to fire his most powerful blast yet.

Derek

Derek Davidson yawned as he woke from a long sleep. He looked outside, it would seem this was a good time for a robbery, he didn't really need any money, but he was feeling quite bored. Derek walked out the door and got into his car, he was going to a different bank from last time. After about half an hour of driving, he reached it.

Derek stepped out of the car and looked at the bank, it was quite big, probably well guarded, but there would be a lot of money in the vaults. Suddenly he heard someone shouting behind him.

"Put your hands on your head!" Yelled a police officer who was pointing a gun at Derek.

"Derek Davidson! You're under arrest for robbery. And don't try to say you don't know what I'm talking about, you can stop cameras from seeing you, but you can't stop people from seeing you." This was bad. Derek had never considered that he might one day be caught. He needed to do something, a distraction. He sensed that the bank had alarms, so he set them off.

"You didn't think I was the only one, did you?" Said Derek slyly.

"Don't you even think of moving." Said the officer. But Derek didn't care for his orders. He got into his car, knowing that the officer wouldn't be occupied by his little trick for long.

Sure enough, in about 2 minutes there was a police car on his tail. Derek noticed he was coming up to a set of traffic lights. He knew what he could do, but he didn't like it, people could be hurt. Then he thought of his family, how they would miss him if he was put away, and who would provide for them? Grimacing, he turned a set green, causing several cars to collide, including the police car. Derek increased his speed. If he was lucky, he might just have gotten away.

The Gilded Knight

The Gilded Knight just waved off her seemingly rude comment. She was young and just getting into the heroine lifestyle. Besides, she realized what she was saying could be taken negatively, and apologized for it. That showed a lot more character than many other people had. And as far for not caring about the PR, he could understand that. There always seemed to be a group of reporters and late night talk show host that seemed to always think powers were dangerous and anyone with them should be locked up. Did they not realize that there are law abiding citizens who only use there powers within the boundaries of the law? Honestly.

However, one thing he did feel uncomfortable about was the mention of her brother. Her mentioning of him basically being a god ran against his deeply held beliefs, as well as showing a dangerous precedent if her brother thought this of himself. Some of the world's most evil men believed themselves to be god. "I wouldn't say that about your brother." He said somberly before he looked up and continued. "God is on an entirely different level than we could ever hope to achieve. He is perfect in every way, something no human can be, and no matter how much power one may wield, they are still mortal and thus flawed." He was still somber as she mentioned the PCO.

Ah, the PCO. A group that wants to rid the world of power. Honestly, he could sympathize with some of there members, the ones who truly believed that what they were doing would save innocent lives. Unfortunately, many in the organization simply saw powered as less than human and a threat to their power. Of course, for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction, and the organization that was the rival to the PCO wasn't any better, but that was something to think about for another day.

So of course, he could only nod as she mentioned why the technology was not available to law enforcement, though he did have to throw in his own view. "I agree, there are some who would use this technology for evil, and I do agree that losing my powers would, what you said, but one day there might be a threat to the whole world, and the only way to stop it would be to use that machine and stop all powered. I know that id it were the case, I would gladly sacrifice my powers, and my life, to save the world." He left her on that somber note, and the mood would have stayed quiet. That is, until the captured villain started whining about wanting a hotdog.

Frustration started to build once again at the petulant man's request. He had just murdered several dozen people, completely unprovoked mind you, threatened to consume him in darkness, tried to smear his good, and he wanted a hot dog?!?! "You want me, the guy you threatened to kill and tried to make look like a villain, to get you a hotdog? You would have better luck trying to use your shadow powers on the surface of the sun." He rubbed the part of the helmet where his temples would be. "Malice, how much longer till we can be rid of this person? Please tell me it is not too long."

Cpt. Victorious

The was a sudden explosion in the middle of the city. Not big enough to kill anyone but enough to hurt about thirty unarmed people. A man in a red suit came runing out of a bank. He was tall, with wild red hair and a crazed looke on his half masked face. He was Da'Bomb, a lowlife Villian with the power to convert matter into explosive material. The Cpt just happend to be flying by at the moment, he sighed deeply as he landed on the ground near the screamin citizens. He walked slowly toward the villian, he could feel the rush as he got close enough for his cells to shift and copy the mans ability. "Enough Villian, you rain of terror has come to an end!"

Da'Bomb just laughed as he threw a sharp piece of metal from his belt at the Captian. He easily doged and grabbed a broken piece of concrete, he foucsed and he felt it heat up in his hand. He threw it at Da'Bombs feet. The Villian looked at his feet and smirked until an explosion sent him flying up into the air about ten feet. He feel to the ground, getting knocked out as he hit his head on the ground.

Mike jist shook his head as he picked up the man and flew
off toward the prison.

He passed over the church and a little ways later he saw The Gilded Knight. He waved as he passed but almost stopped when he saw Joe.

He shook his head as he head on ward.

Joe Dalia Jones

Joe looked at the Hero, he just shook his head. "You got in may way, what else was i supposed to do, and as for the people i killed, they were sheep."

He was tired of explaining the fact that normals are sheep for the slaughter, tjeu do nothing but cause trouble if theu are unhappy. Normal people didn't ecen help him, when they saw a half burnt corpse craw out of a burning bus. Theu ran, they ran away and left him there. He only survived because he crawled into an ally way an hid in the shadows. As far as normal people where concerned, they were freaks.

"
Just take the money, forget about the food. I don't care, I'd rather it get pit to use." He relized he had conflicting morals but he didn't care.

Kay "Malice²" Cross

The young woman realized a little too late that what she had said about her brother being god-like and the PCO was a bit too much. Still, she let the Gilded Knight speak out his own views and listened to what the villain had to say before adding anything. She felt the villain's words were the most pressing to address, so she spoke to him first; "I'll go get the hotdog if you like. You're a prisoner and you'll pay for your crimes, but its wrong to treat you like less than a person even for all the harm you did. You'll be judged fairly, and my brother - if you want - will keep your money until your sentence is served, so that you may have it back once you've served your sentence. I'm sure imprisonment will give you perspective and you'll come out of this a better man... otherwise, what the fuck is the prison system good for, right?" With that, she grabbed some of the money, and her leg turned into a small child with a hoody which ran off to the hotdog stand. The leg reformed itself soon thereafter so she could continue walking. "Don't worry, it will catch up." She let out to both the Gilded Knight and the villain she still didn't know the name of. She couldn't maintain it the same way Kane could, but that construct would surely last the five minutes it'll take it to grab a hotdog and hurry along back.

She then turned her attention to the Gilded Knight. "
I'm... sorry for what I said. I didn't realize you would feel so strongly about it. What I meant was that my brother is probably the strongest of the supers. He is, as far as I know, at any rate. It was wrong of me to make light of godhood like that though... ...I do want to make one small correction on what you said though; It's my personal view, no need to share it, but it's how I see things... 'Mortals' are not 'flawed'; they're 'ignorant'. I'm not super religious but from what I understand of the bible... God gave humanity free will so that it would exercise its freedom as it would desire, and - though it was against God's will - the snake gave us access to knowledge through the forbidden fruit, which is why we're mortal, right? As punishment from God?" She paused on this for a second to let the Gilded Knight process what she said. Right now, the words that were coming from Kay's mouth were more Kane's than her own, but she agreed with them. "I think... and please don't get insulted, this is really just my personal view, I don't claim to know the truth of the matter... but I think, that we could be perfect... eventually... if we tried hard enough. Maybe not perfect in the same sense as God... but perfect as in; 'in line with what God intended us to be', you know? ...anyway, that's what I think..."

She then thought about what the man said about the PCO and stroked her chin lightly. By now, the little spawn was already jogging behind them with hotdog and change in hand, having almost caught up. "
I think my brother would agree with you." She uttered when she finally decided on an answer, the little boy she'd generated then jumped on top of the villain's constraints. As he was even lighter than she was, the villain of course did not feel a thing, and he was handed the hotdog and his change. "It would probably not be his first option, of course, but if he exhausted all other possibilities, he would definitely amp up the machine to rid everyone of their powers... probably not permanently, just until we got rid of the threat and all... but he'd be willing to do it. It's not a permanent off-switch, you see? But..." before she could finish her sentence, they were there and her eyes lit up ever so slightly, a big smile appearing on her face as the little boy dissipated and she stood still looking at the building before them. It was a large disinfected factory with the "GAT TOBACCOS CO." logo on it, but it seemed like it had been abandoned some time ago. In fact, if anyone were to check the papers, the building had been on sell by GTCo since three years ago, but the asking price was so high nobody had bought it.

In spite of its abandoned appearance however, the building still seemed in relatively good condition; it was a bit dirty on the outside, but there were no signs of disrepair and it was easily massive enough to contain an entire tobacco factory... which was what it used to be, after all. "
We're here!" The young woman yelled from the entrance, both to inform the Gilded Knight who was tired of dealing with the villain, and her brother within. That said, it wasn't like Kane really needed to hear it... he knew.

Kane "Slender" Tierce Gat

20130722145141

The large gates opened before them to reveal a man with a completely black suit and a white, featureless mask. His hands, also covered with white gloves, gave the impression that he was wearing a morphsuit under his attire, but that would be an incorrect assumption. To be honest, the man much preferred his original costume, but it bordered on the impossible to present himself as a hero while wearing it, so he chose this much less frightening alternative which - nonetheless - gave him the appearance of the internet creepy-pasta Slenderman. Thankfully, he knew how to make use of little happy accidents like that, it gave him a chance to say things without too much forethought. In fact, he decided on the spot that this persona would be eccentric.

"
I know dear, I know... this place is equipped with cameras, remember?" He uttered, pointing up to the two cameras pointed at the door, both hanging from the walls on either side. There was at least one camera pointed at every opening of the building. Not all of them worked, but it gave the appearance of a secure facility. To be fair, not all the openings were actual openings, so it kind of evened things out.

"
Oh... visitors. I'm assuming they're here for 'the room'?" He inquired, tilting his head slightly and crossing one arm over his chest to hoist up his opposite forearm, which held the side of his head. His already tall and lean body was further accentuated in this costume, not to mention rendered even more so by his powers, so he had a rather eerie look to him.

"
Oh, where are my manners? Please call me Mr.Slender. I am Malice here's older brother and partner

in crime fighting. Speaking of which, I hope she did not cause too much trouble? This is the first time

I let her go about hero business. I fear for her security, you see? But I'm afraid that also means she did

not have time to practice much." In contrast with his appearance however, he had the reassuring voice of a well-meaning albeit awkward father figure. This was all, of course, intentional, but it did make him rather humorous. Some clowns looked scary even though they were supposed to come off as funny, "Mr.Slender" was the opposite of that. "Pleased to meet you." With that, he gave a very exaggerated bow and seven arms sprouted from his back to curl around his torso in an overly dramatic salutation that was, frankly, ridiculous.
