Not All That Wander Are Lost
Falco looked up just in time to see the shields on one of the missile boats flicker.
"Who hit the missile boat!"
"I believe the the strike came from the Lucifer."
"He's got a chance at making through that things shields. Does he need any close range assistance?"
"Not really, he seems to be firing from a safe distance. But the Xerxes is in some trouble. She is surrounded by swordsmen, and she doesn't have any defensive measures."
"She's the one with the shields right? We'll need her if there's any chance of us getting through th-!!!!"
Falco was cut short as he found himself staring at the business end of a missile. After a mind jarring explosion and blinding flash and searing pain in his eyes Falco found his display completely blacked out.
"Crap! Crap! Crap crap crap! Alexander! Get the monitors up now!!!"
"I'm trying! Rerouting the monitors to infrared vision. You won't have any HUD, the computing devices are totally fried."
The infrared visuals came up just in time for Falco to see masses of swordsmen coming in from all sides. Quickly deciding retreat would be the best option he spun around as he locked his swords into staff mode and started to spin it directly in front of him. Hoping his exposed back would be protected from ranged attacks by the mass of swordsmen. It successfully stopped the missiles, but one stray bullet got through, he felt a sharp pain in his lower leg.
"People better not start calling me gimpy because of that. Now, where's the shield girl? "
"She is thirty degrees to your left."
Suddenly changing direction he dodged two red flashes that he knew represented two missiles. Realizing why he had been hit to begin with, Falco started travel in as erratic and unguessable path as he could, his wounded leg helped with the spontaneity. I should start dancing. So he started to do just that. Not a full-on jazz dance but the crazy sort you do at a dubstep concert. Hopefully this would keep any more missiles from getting a lock.
Falco arrived at the shield FRAME in time to slice the head off a swordsmen just as it was about to stab her in the back."Thought you could use some close range help!" He yelled after Alexander patched him through to the other Rider.
Results: 10 swordsmen permanently decommissioned and Eve assisted. Loss of HUD and precise maneuvering.
