Also, I'll go along with one try editing, @OneWayOut... Right now, I'm on the border of insanity with five days without sleep that were all wasted on characters and such that I lost all my hard work on, so if I don't successfully edit my character and get them accepted with one set of edits, I won't really be participating.

You definitely need to adjust the age. His parents have been dead for quite a while.

....honestly, I think 16 would be a stretch. But If @OneWayOut allows your decision, its up to you.


This all is just the difficulties of associating OCs with Canon characters.

Just my opinion on the age bit, but... It would have to be at least twenty-five, given we know Kakashi's mother was gone before Kakashi was five and his father died before Kakashi was six. Given we're RPing in Shippuden time, that means within five years old of Kakashi, who's between 29 and 31 in Shippuden.
 
Why is there a relation to Kakashi? Sorry, it just seems so pertinent to the character for some reason?

Why does anyone ever want to have an oc related to a Canon character?

Some find it a way to give 'fate' to their character, connect to a character not only by blood, but by fate such as similar tragedies or positives in life. For example, some would connect their character by blood with Kakashi to give a bit of a twist of fate to their character and a Sharingan impanted into one of their eyes, something like that.


Others like the idea of a character who's wimpy but backs themselves up by using the name of the well-known and powerful relative from the original series, such as how some might say "Heh, I'll have you know that my brother (or sister, father, etc.) is *so and so*!" as a way to intimidate others. I'm... a bit guilty of thinking about that kind of character once or twice by the way, though mainly for my own RP ideas that I have, one of which was based on my favorite anime X3


Sadly I never got to even work out the basic details so it's literally just 'I'm thinking of a fandom RP for *so and so*". Also, ten points to anybody who can guess what my favorite anime is! X3


Anyway, there are many reasons a person could actually make a character that's related to a canon character in a fandom. Yes, many are just "I wanna be related to so and so because they're cool," but there are plenty of people who go for other reasons. Hope you don't mind me having answered that rhetorical question of yours, Kalin ( :P )

You could theoretically make her any age if you change the circumstances of her birth. She could still be related to Kakashi. We do know that Orochimaru was working with cloning technology. He could have gotten a hold of Kakashi's parent's DNA and created a child. Or someone else could have done the same.
