Avenging Thread God
"You are each one of the many Guardians in our army, the same army that has taken on the each of our planned strikes. Together we stand strong." Zavala went on, starting up on another prep rally. The usual. Having been on all of these before, this training camp you were going in to was old news.

A Guardian next to you stirs, somebody you've never seen before.

"Hey," He says to you. "I'm kinda new to this stuff, and we're supposed to fight together, right?" He stammers, avoiding eye contact. His announcement of being new to it is no big surprise, and it seems he wasn't just asking to make small talk.

"So, uh... Who are you?"

"Oh, cool." He says, still nervous, although you seem to have soothed his nerves a bit by being friendly and at least telling him your name. He glances up at your Ghost, though, a look of confusion furrowing his brow.

Race: Human

Gender: Male

Age: 26

Class: Titan, Striker

Armor Appearance:

img-01.jpg

Appearance Under Armor:

Depressed_African_American_Ma_33580151.jpg

Super Modifications:
Trey imbues his Fists of Havoc in a flashbang grenade, supercharging it and making its explosion three times as powerful.

Energy Proficiency: Arc

Special Weapon Ability: Pulse riffle utilizing Arc energy for additional effect

Personality: Trey is constantly angry, pushing to be the best so that he can strike back at the foreign armies that he currently fights. In his interactions with people Trey is constantly angry about their relaxed approach about all this, like they are invincible or like it isn't their problem.

HBD: Trey comes from back during the Golden Age, and only right at the end of it. He had a wife that he treasured and a little girl who was only 6. He was an engineer working on ships on Mars, specifically modifying their weaponry and making it run smoothly.

When the armies of Darkness hit Mars, Trey and his family were killed quickly. Now, having been resurrected by his Ghost, he fights the armies of Darkness to avenge his loss. It is due to his history that he fights the Vex and Cabal with extra passion, as they were the first to Mars.

When Trey was found by his Ghost, the poor thing had been desperate to find anyone on Mars at all. It had been there for a while, and had begun to see that the Martian sands covered anything that might hold viable material for a Guardian. When it finally found Trey, he was inside of a large Golden Age passenger ship with a rifle in his hand. He had slumped against the wall of the ship by the door, his chest caved in. The harsh Martian winds and sands eroded his flesh long ago, but his skeleton had been preserved and calcified by the natural minerals in the sand.

After being resurrected, Trey discovered countless bodies in the ship behind him and demanded that his Ghost raise them too. Being told that he couldn't, Trey went about discovering his surroundings.

Trey had to dig his way out of a sand covered hanger, then spent the next month digging a path wide enough to drag a jumpship out and then start it up, taking it to the City with it falling apart the moment it touched ground.

Personal Motto: "They took my home, my family, my life. The Traveler gave all that back to me, but they seek to take it all again. This time I'm going to get my revenge. This time I'm going to take everything they ever had away from them, starting with their gods."

Ghost's Name: "Ra? We get along well enough."

Ghost's Skin:

CB3wkkoWYAEgk8a.png

Ghost's Personality:
Always desperate for results, Ra pushes hard for anything to happen, constantly running at max capacity and over. Ra is, however, heavily idealistic and will look for opportunities in strange places because it might yield excellently, although in reality the chances of that are remarkably low.

Relationship with Ghost: Trey and Ra get along rather well, both pushing for progress at intense levels. While Trey doesn't share Ra's optimism, he lets the ghost experiment and cleans up his messes when he goofs up. They have a very good relationship in general, and are very good at communicating with each other.

Armor Appearance: (words are recommended, as you can customize your armor however you want with words, but if you have a picture you like, use it)

b02aca6841aace022dd8b4cd0946f77d.jpg

Appearance Under Armor:

23svvgz.jpg

Super Modifications: During the time that stormtrance is activated, her storm grenade's localized lightning storm does mild damage over a slightly larger radius.

Energy Proficiency: Arc

Personality: Lux is intelligent. The kind of intelligent you expect when you meet a warlock, but with it comes intense curiosity, which can put her and her ghost into situations that her strength can't get her out of. She often relies on intricate strategy and ability power, rather than strength and weaponry, to defeat her enemies and complete missions. She gets along well with others, and when sent out on missions- she works much better with a group.

HBD: The Ketura family are a long line of doctors and healers, and Lux was to be no exception. She was sent out of the city along with her two sisters, following a distress call that a group of refugees were injured and in need of assistance. Though the area in which they were traveling was labeled a safe zone, they were caught off guard by a group of Fallen Vandals. Lux's younger sister, Nora, was able to escape with the refugees, but Lux and her elder sister, Efa, couldn't be saved. Lux was awakened by her ghost, not much too long after her time of death, and the only thing she could say was that the ghost should have taken Efa instead. "She has more experience, more courage." She argued, staring at her sister's decaying body with tears in her eyes. "That's not how this works, guardian, I can't just put you back." Her ghost had said, beginning to move away from the cave she was found in, Lux following close behind. Lux spent months hiding within the Library, learning as much as she could about her people and her enemies, before finally beginning her training.

Personal Motto: "To acquire knowledge, one must study; but to acquire wisdom, one must observe."

Ghost's Name: "Mimir is the reason I keep going."

Ghost's Shell: Pure black, making it easier for him to survey dark areas without being seen.

Ghost's Personality: Mim is serious, always focused on the fastest and most efficient way to fulfill an assignment. He often needs to pull Lux back on track.

Relationship with Ghost: Lux and Mimir don't always see eye to eye when it comes to strategy, but they easily resolve their problems and work together to complete the task at hand.

Name:
Erinyes Floros

Race: Human

Gender: Female

Age: 23

Class:
Hunter (Nightstalker)

Super Modifications:

Volley- (replaces the tether ability) Fires a single arrow that splits into a dozen smaller projectiles and covers an area. Can also be used to fire multiple small arrows one at a time.

Energy Proficiency:
Solar

Personal Weapon Ability:
Ceramic Rounds and Explosive Bullets (not at the same time obviously)

Personality:
Modest, reserved, and soft-spoken, Erinyes is one of the last people you would expect to pick up a gun, though she seems to have a talent for it. She cares deeply for her fellow Guardians and has a great love of life. On the field she tends to be a team player, preferring to support the group with pinpoint sniper fire, ricocheting her bullets to hit targets that are behind cover. She never fights in the Crucible, finding herself unable to pull the trigger when her opponent is another Guardian.

HBD:
Much of Erinyes' memory is damaged and what little she does remember she does not talk about. One can only assume that her past was a dark one.

Personal Motto:
"Life is precious and the Traveler has given me a second chance at it. A chance at redemption for my past sins."

Ghost's Name: Uriel

Ghost's Personality: (to be developed)

Relationship with Ghost: Uriel is the only person that Erinyes has ever truly been able to call a friend.

Name: Icarus-67

Race: Exo

Gender: Male

Age: 6

Class: Titan, Striker

Armor Appearance:

UqfuBk8.png

Appearance Under Armor:

destiny_exo_titan_attempt_2_by_haloreachfuck-d83ggtf.png

Super Modifications:
Instead of smashing like a traditional Titan, Icarus imbues his fists with the power of Fist of Havoc and lands two punches, each half as strong as a normal Fist of Havoc.

Energy Proficiency: Arc

Personal Weapon Ability: Full Auto

Personality: Icarus is a thinker. He's quiet, reserved, and generally doesn't make friends. He is a dedicated worker and is willing to put his life on the line to save others. He values life greatly, especially that of organics. The way Icarus sees it, organic life is what keeps the world in motion, without organics, existence has no purpose.

HBD: Icarus was assembled for some unknown purpose, he can only find corrupted data and partially complete files in his memory banks. What he has been given is false memories, he has determined. They say that he was a factory worker, that he put together furniture for the lovely people of Earth. He, allegedly, spent day and night attaching table legs to their tables. He was allowed to take a break whenever he pleased. His life was good, until for some reason he was killed six years after his 'birth'. Icarus tries desperately to fill in the gaps in his memory, which is why he spends so much time thinking, he is in fact trying to decode his broken memories. He has yet to unlock any great secrets, but he has found a few small ones. He knows of a 'friend' he had before he was killed and what they look like. Icarus' mission to defend the tower is his number one priority however.

Personal Motto: "Observe the stars, just don't get too close."

Ghost's Name: Daedalus

Ghost's Skin:

625x465_2275996_4276124_1429727893.jpg

Ghost's Personality: Quirky and outgoing, Daedalus often has to prod Icarus into interacting with others. Sometimes Daedalus handles communication altogether when Icarus is in one of his moods.

Relationship with Ghost: Icarus is very fond of Daedalus. He treats him with the utmost respect. Icarus would be lost without his ghost and his ghost would be lost without him, the two are inseparable.

Natalie “Razor” Sparks

Warlock

Human

Female

“Name’s Ally, but some call me Razor.”

Appearance:

Ally sports natural, long red hair, plush rosy red lips and a face splattered with beautiful freckles. Many Guardians are stunned by her natural appearance. very lean but surprisingly muscular for her stature. While she is fierce, her complexion is very soft. She only stands about 5‘ 6“ tall. Short by most guardian standards, but she has high agility scores in testing.

Personality:

Ally is about as adorable as she looks. She is very kind and soft when in a casual setting. Socializing with most and overall not violent at all. However if you back her into a corner she will cut your throat. She does not like to be threatened and will defend herself as she see’s necessary.

Gear:

Her gear is run of the mill manifold seeker gear given to most amateur guardians. A fluid vest coat that allows freedom of movement. Ceramic chest and back armor offer protection only to the heart. Padded knee guards with light metal plates for physical protection and lightweight unarmored arms and shoulders to allow for maximum agility. Her helmet is is a basic dead orbit model MK I with standard Ghost interface and HUD display.

While the glass itself is limited in FoV, linear nano cameras make the HUD give her a full 180 degree FoV. Her ghost can broadcast from its location within the HUD to give her a better tactical advantage. Last on her gear is a custom utility belt. In the back she has a custom holsters for her dual hand cannons, and behind them sheaths her dual kukri’s and a shotgun strapped to her chest.

Weapons of the Trade:

Dead Orbit MK II Hand Cannon [Main Ranged]

While not custom made, these weapons are tailored for her. They have a 20% shorter barrel reducing weight and accuracy by 13%, and increasing recoil by 10%. Both have hair triggers for rapid shots, holding 6 rounds each.

Vanguard Pump-action 12 gauge 4+1 shotgun. [secondary Ranged]

Custom Holo Sight with green end filament. Green Laser sight on opposite side of ejector. Rifled barrel and slug rounds. Gives Slugs 50% increase to range and accuracy and 15% increase to recoil but cannot use buckshot as it would damage the barrel. Custom stock with slots to fast reload 5 rounds.

Dual Custom 12‘ Kukri’s [unique Melee]

Every guardian is crafted a quality melee weapon upon completion of advanced fight training in the crucible. Each weapon is shaped and crafted after the guardians ferociousness, personality and ability are proven in the Crucible. Only a handful of guardians ever get these.

“She has the heart of a Warlock, with the precision of a Hunter.” - Random spectator

Energy Powers: Proficiency, Arc.

Pulse Disruptor: [Main Ultimate]

This is Ally’s Arc special. Collecting the energy of light overtime, her body starts to collect and build up a charge. As it builds energy starts to emanate as charges arcing from her body and at its peak she rises into the air and an energy pulse of pure arc energy expels in a sphere away from her. The range depends on the amount of energy used. This energy, looking similar to a titans bubble shield roasts anything caught in its wake, including guardians not protecting themselves with their own power. The arc energy fries neurons, killing Humans, Aliens and Machines alike. It also is only used as a last resort as it shorts her out for a few minutes to a few hours after depending on the amount of energy used.

Black Hole: [secondary Ultimate]

Using void, Ally creates a miniature black hole. This power is extremely violent and destructive. For the short time it is active it pulls anything into it with the ferocity of 1,000 suns. Anything within 10 feet of it is instant crushed to death and disappears into its void. It’s gravitation effects It does not differentiate between things. It consumes all, including light. It lasts for 15 seconds and if not careful it will even consume the user. Anything bigger than the void is crushed down to size and consumed. Once the time is expended, it explodes into a mini super nova, blinding anything looking at it and blasting anything that survived away from its center.

Flash Blade: [Main Super]

Stealing a page right out of the hunters book. She charges her blades and body with Arc energy, becoming the weapon herself. Some have once witnessed this in the Crucible stating she took out 10 Guardians in the blink of an eye.

Void Shot: [secondary Super]

Again. Making use of Warlock and Hunter Skills, Ally can charge up to 3 bullets in her hand cannon with the Void status. When fired, the bullet travels instantly to its target and upon contact turns into an instant black hole, crushing the enemy into something painfully smaller than it is. The burst in gravity affects enemies within 6 feet of the strike.

Chain Lightning:
[Primary Grenade]

Changing the polarity of the grenade, it magnetizes to anything living close to it. When it sticks, it charges and 1.5 seconds later, it explodes in a burst of lightning, frying the opponent and chaining to damage other opponents within 10 feet, up to three times, getting less powerful with each strike it passes through.

Emp Grenade: [secondary Grenade]

This grenade functions just like a solar grenade, but it burns white hot blinding anything looking in its direction and disrupting electronics equipment for up to 15 seconds.

Mark

Appearance:

Ally’s Ghost Shell was a gift from dead orbit for them many interesting things she has brought them over the years. It is finely crafted from golden age carbon fiber. This makes him lighter and slightly quieter than other ghosts as well as stealthier because of its dark color.

Personality:

Ally’s shell is very quiet and timid. He often only speaks to Ally but will have very, valuable words if the time calls for it. He likes to learn and obvious earth and its surroundings which is why Ally always goes into the cosmodrome to explore.

Mark is like a little brother to her and that is why she cares so deeply for him as well is very protective over him. Ally doesn’t like people commenting or touching him.

History Before Death:

“The most painful part of being alive now, is remembering fragments of the life before. The happiness, the joy, and then the fear.” -Natalie Sparks

Ally still doesn't remember everything from her past. fragments come when she see’s things, hears things or even when Mark, her ghost, tells her of history that he found. From what they have pieced together, she died with thousands on a colony ship leaving out of California. It was one of the last days before the Fallen took over. Leaving Earth for the last time.

That was when the Fallen attack vessel’s entered the atmosphere and they began engaging the defenseless ship. Ally was one of the last one’s to die out of the thousands on board. When the alarms rang out, she had not been fully buckled in and when the top of their vessel; one of 5 attached to the orbital vessel, exploded, instantly sucking only her out at nearly 100,000 feet, 19 miles, above the planets surface. Screaming, all she could do was watch as her family and everything she new exploded in one of the most magnificent explosions she had ever witnessed.

It was actually the concussive blast of the explosion that killed her. Only a moment after that it all went black. Many many years later, that is where mark found her.

Most guardians are restructured from the dna in their bones, but where she had fallen was somewhere equivalent to where Canada would of been. Somehow, almost as if an act of god, her body had been frozen and nearly 65% preserved by the cold. The reconstruction process was much simpler with her but because of the circumstances she has small slicing scars on her arms, and legs with a large slash across her chest. It is assumed by her and Mark that she received these from her fall, as well as shrapnel from being so close to the exploding colony ship.

These memories cause her much pain. Even though it was so many years ago, those images are still engrained and she relives them every night. As a Guardian, she fights to protect everything she holds dear, now that she has the power to do so.

History:

Ally has made a name for herself simply because of her skills in the Crucible. Most notably because of her standing with the Warlocks while most notably using Hunter skills, and most often better than they do. For Ally, It does not matter how a person uses their skills, what matters is that they are effective and that they use these powers to their most effective extent.

Because of her age, her attitude and her moral, she is considered an Amateur by all standards.

She knows this and she doesnt care. Ally doesn’t have much experience dealing with Fallen, and Hive because as much as her reputation shows her as a fighter, she is a researcher. This is why the Warlocks accept her. All her missions consist of ventures out beyond the walls of the Tower. Most Guardians search exclusively for tech because that is what pays, but for Natalie, the fight begins at home. More often than not, she brings home books, pictures, literature of the golden age and before. For children to read at night, and for parents to comfort their loved ones.

Often the tech she brings back is for Dead Orbit. This is because they don’t just pay her, they take care of her. They give her weapons, armor and supplies in place of payment. For ally, survival is most important over payment. Money is useless if no ones alive to accept it.

With her skills in the Crucible, her Vanguard Mentor has bigger plans for her. Exploring with a fireteam will be the first time working on a team with others.

Personal Motto:

“A quiet foot, a quick hand, some coffee and a friend. Those are the things that keep you alive beyond the wall.”

Super Modifications:

Blade Dancer: Zane charges his arc blade to a single point, the knife attaching to and becoming one with his arm, emitting a blade of arc energy from the palm of his hand

Energy Proficiency:

Shane's energy in super proficiency is the mighty electric lightning Arc

Personal Weapon Ability:

Having a favorite among Handcannons and Autorifles, Shane has had a pretty skilled history with nothing more than the Hunter's knife.

Personality:

Shane is somewhat of a recluse, preferring to work alone with his Ghost ever since the incident with the Vault of Glass, losing every single member of his raid team and watching many more unfortunate Guardians fall to the Templar during the assault. With seriousness and a calm cover in his voice, he doesn't tend to jokes very well. He's usually one of the quiet types as well, referring to use hand signals and nods than to even speak at all, even having the tendency to appear and disappear in areas no one will expect. An accurate eye with a sniper, an underestimated lone wolf with a handcannon, and bullet raining soldier with an auto rifle, expect nothing short then "partner" on your side. A follower of Dead Orbit to the heart, expect him to be usually clad in a Dead Orbit cloak. To be put simple, Shane has been through some tales that he'll never want to go through or be in again.

HBD: "A tale lost in the past has nothing to do with the future unfolding now, you'll get nothing from me."

Personal Motto: "Nothing and no-one more trustworthy than the gun on your hip and the knife in your hand."

Ghost Name:

"I believe.. Zero is sufficient, a good number when you have it with another, but not very well when working alone." - Ghost as he was searching for a name.

Ghost Shell: Intrusion

<p><a href="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2015_09/image.jpg.f9f5be79871f2e10a0a0b4e3b81258e0.jpg" class="ipsAttachLink ipsAttachLink_image"><img data-fileid="73002" src="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2015_09/image.jpg.f9f5be79871f2e10a0a0b4e3b81258e0.jpg" class="ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed" alt=""></a></p>

Ghost's Personality: A well caring companion of his partner, being Shane the broken well and Zero the ghost that inhabits his soul. Zero will speak when Shane will not.

Ghost Relationship:

Almost as if a second brain or a blood brother, Zero will watch over Shane, alerting him when something is watching or around. He will always keep a keen, observant, and silent eye of trust.

@Riven

Looks pretty good. I have a couple things to point out, but not too much:

1) In this version, a Guardian only has 1 modified Super. This is due to the fact that the one was the one they learned how to use intuitively, while the others require severe focus and training. So please, choose one or the other, but the other super will be like it always is except slightly weaker.

2) The energy proficiency isn't a personal preference. Like with their Super, it is the energy they learned intuitively. Think of it like a physical preference: some are runners, some are climbers.

Other than those, I don't see too many problems. However, the Vault was taken by one of the armies. It wouldn't have just been his team he saw die. Also, just to make sure, it was in fact the Fates that took on Atheon. We had little to do about that. Oh, and is it Zane or Shane? Because you say it's Shane, but then call him Zane the whole rest of the sheet.

Last edited by a moderator:
I've repaired the sheet, apologize, I haven't been in my bestest states of RP over a while XP

Shane is his name, I just took the sheet from the other profile and forgot to change his name

Shane's raid team was one of the first few teams to assault the Templar and fail with his members all KIA, that's all I'm putting out, nothing else

I believe that Guardians have been around longer than you think, good sir. A lot longer.

Either way, it's good to have you! Welcome to the team, Shane.

Still accepting? :3

(
Shes only about...5 feet tall)

Super Modifications:

Striker Subclass: Her attack works on a more...personal level. She can channel her Arc lightning into both of her hands. When she touches an enemy, they explode from the inside and channel the concentrated electricity like a conductor, effecting (depending on the enemy it can stun, stagger, or kill) other enemies around the main victim. The main victim always dies from the surge.

Energy Proficiency: Arc

Personal Weapon Ability:

- Primary: "Right Hand" (Your right hand man is the only one you can trust.)

Scout Rifle with explosive rounds, full auto, great stability, and lightweight

- Secondary: "Bestfriend" (....for life)

Shogun with increased range and great stability

- Heavy: "Last Resort" (When all else fails....)

Rocket Launcher with cluster bombs

Personality: Typical, careless, immature rookie. She hasnt been a guardian long. And rather than being responsible shes reckless, the way she was before she was resurrected. Shes head-strong, stubborn at times, and persistant. At times she can lose her cool, but for the most part, shes very laid back. She enjoys watching the enemy suffer. Her fighting style can be a bit wild and unpredictable, but shes brighter than she looks. Most of her attacks are closely predetermined. She knows what shes doing....well,..most of the time.

HBD: Not much is remembered. her personality was the same. Even though she doesnt remember her family very much, she remember's her little brother. He was a sweet kid, and she remembers loving him very much. Her previous life was a good one, too bad she doesnt remember most of it.

Personal Motto: "If you ask me, theres nothing wrong with wanting to constantly punch the sh*t outta something......But dont ask Delta! He'll say otherwise..."

Ghost's Name: Delta

Ghost's Skin:

<p><a href="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2015_08/image.jpg.1fa9e20fff7df16f63160e857d809892.jpg" class="ipsAttachLink ipsAttachLink_image"><img data-fileid="71203" src="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2015_08/image.jpg.1fa9e20fff7df16f63160e857d809892.jpg" class="ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed" alt=""></a></p>

Ghost's Personality:

Delta is much like a young child. Innocent, timid, soft spoken, a little shy, but very alert. He acts as the conscious Blake never had. Often advising her actions as right or wrong and always watching as she recklessly fights. She usually complains about how worried he always is, but if shes not going to be careful then someone has to.

Delta is very curious. He especially takes part in studying foreign technology. Which has proven to be very handy with cracking alien codes and breaking their security.

Relationship with Ghost:

They have a very close relationship. She sees him as a little brother (he does remind of her own anyway) but Delta, however, feels more like a baby sitter...

Name: Maulimer Pyrrhos

Race: Human

Gender: Male

Age: 28

Class: Sunsinger Warlock

Armor Appearance: Maulimer's armor is unremarkable, simply a light beige variant of the Warlock vestments standard-issued by the Vanguard. Notably, however, he refused to wear a helmet, even in the most perilous of situations.

Appearance Under Armor: Maulimer is a young man of mediocre height, with averagely-wide shoulders that taper down into narrow hips. He appears to be of Semitic descent, perhaps on his father's side, with an olive complexion and a shock of black hair.

Super Modifications: The typical Radiance of a Sunsinger Warlock. Notably, Maulimer seems to possess a pugilistic affinity for the period which the ability lasts.

Energy Proficiency: Solar

Personal Weapon Ability: A Hakke-brand auto rifle with an incendiary bullet chamber, causing its projectiles to superheat into a half-molten state while leaving the barrel. Additionally, Maulimer uses a Shrapnel Rifle graverobbed from a defeated Fallen Baron. As the weapon is meant for use by beings with four arms, and the Sunsinger only has two, its kick occasionally dislocates his shoulder.

Personality: Mr. Pyrrhos is what some might call eccentric. Others might call him unique. Others still might do away with the pretext of politeness altogether and accurately brand him a lunatic. Due to a self-inflicted trepanning, Maulimer's amygdalae and somatosensory cortices are haywired, and the Warlock does not properly experience fear, pain, or libido. These factors amplify an already-present social ineptness, causing Maulimer to often miss context clues and completely disregard certain situations that most would find extremely uncomfortable.

HBD: N/A; Maulimer was born and raised in the City, and inherited his mother's capacity to wield the Traveler's Light.

Personal Motto: "They say Warlocks can shape reality with nothing more than their thoughts. Wanna see what happens when we take Amphetamines?"

Ghost's Name: Pilot (Light)

Ghost's Skin: Spraypainted- by hand- with flame decals.

Ghost's Personality: As cautious as Maulimer is reckless.

Relationship with Ghost: Pilot is in an almost constant of chagrin due to Maulimer's antics. Maulimer is often bogged down by Pilot's constant worrying and nagging. They make it work.

Something tells me that you didn't read either the LORE tab or the MECHANICS tab. You should do that.
Well I've been told that there are issues with my character, I've already asked the rp op about what to change

@The Dark Huntsman

Please read through the tabs again and complete your CS, modifying anything that goes against the way this game has been stated to work. I'm going to wait until you have done this to touch it. Thank you, mate.

YAY! LIST TIME!

The things I am about to show you are all from your character sheet and are the items that I wanted to point out. Keep in mind that the fact that I pointed it out means that it is either illogical or potentially violating one of my rules I set up. Here we go!

"Notably, however, he refused to wear a helmet, even in the most perilous of situations."

WOAH THERE! NOPE! Allow me to tell you why in this simple statement: Warlock armor = crap. See, Warlocks already have little defense, and so by wearing no head gear he just ensured his death. Not just that, but there are multiple situations in which the filters on that helmet keep the toxic air around a Guardian breathable. You get the idea. Besides giving an enemy a 1 shot kill spot, he also puts himself at risk of environmental risks. Helmets are a non-negotiable.

"perhaps on his father's side"

This isn't such a big issue, but how exactly would one be able to tell which side it comes from? I certainly don't know anyone who can.

"The typical Radiance of a Sunsinger Warlock. Notably, the intense heat produced during Radiance can actually damage those nearby, and additionally, Maulimer seems to possess a pugilistic affinity for the period which the ability lasts."

Now, I'm not entirely sure how you got the idea of this being okay, but when I said 'super modification' and gave an example of a super mod, you said 'well let's just make him a bad ass instead'. Why would simply giving yourself a power boost be at all acceptable when I have already shown what the super modification means? Heck, you could have even gotten the idea it wouldn't fly by reading the other's CS's and my responses. Sorry, but that is just... Wow.

Keep in mind that a Super Mod isn't a power boost. It's a personalization. Go look at other people's CS's for ideas. It might help get your thoughts rolling along the right lines.

"Maulimer has a staggering capacity in regards to the singular element that he has chosen to master. Maulimer can toss out swarms of explosive fireflies, leave behind thermite footprints, sculpt claws of red heat and exhale blazing torrents. Furthermore, he has a rather pernicious habit of burning up his own tissue cells as fuel, melting them at an atomic level to provide him with a supple supply of energy."

Excuse me for a moment as I point out that the only words that aren't in quotes here are the ones I made for the template and the word 'solar'. Oh, and a semi-colon. This whole paragraph is a problem, you see. Let me list for you why that is so (yay! A list within a list!).

I) He did not chose to master anything. The proficency with one element is *(a) not a mastery and **(b) the product of his natural thought (in other words: not choice), also the same reason he is a Warlock and not a Titan. I will direct you to this post for a deeper explanation, and it will be point #4:
Destiny: Rising Tides | Page 2 | RpNation.com - Best Roleplay Forum

II) None of your listed abilities are his super or any preexisting Sunsinger abilities. By using them you once again push to over power a character.

III) It really would be the molecular level, not atomic. Burning is called oxidization for a reason.

"Maulimer uses a Shrapnel Rifle graverobbed from a defeated Fallen Baron. As the weapon is meant for use by beings with four arms, and the Sunsinger only has two, its kick occasionally dislocates his shoulder."

Eh, no. First off, it isn't just meant for a being with four arms, it is meant for a being with a much higher natural strength than any Guardian, although the Titans get close. A Warlock's strength is not his focus. At all. I mean, really. Have you seen those guy's arms?

Anyway. A Warlock would not only be unable to lift it, but the cost of the pain of a dislocated shoulder is- Well, if you have ever actually done it then you would know it isn't worth the crappy shot he'll make with that thing. A dislocated shoulder leaves most everyone crying, and relocating it is so painful they pass out almost universally. There are only a few cases where they don't, but those guys have insane pain tolerance. If you want to argue that he removed his pain sensors, then keep reading.

"Due to a self-inflicted trepanning, Maulimer's amygdalae and somatosensory cortices are haywired, and the Warlock does not properly experience fear, pain, or libido. Hah. Hah hah. Good joke.

Seriously, though. The team is, well, a team. We can't a Warlock that thinks he is a tank and we sure as heck can't have someone who has no clue how to work with people. Being tight knit is going to be the team's biggest asset, and if this guy can't interact with them in a way they can (a) be comfortable with and (b) understand, then amen to that team. Also, not being able to feel pain is what ends up causing limbs to fall off in
leprosy. They don't notice the fact that they are banging it around and killing their hand, so eventually it is so damaged it falls off.

"N/A; Maulimer was born and raised in the City, and inherited his mother's capacity to wield the Traveler's Light."

No. Just no. And by that I mean "ah hell no." Absolutely and positively no. I will stand firm on this one. Do I even need to explain this one? Because if I do then I can point you right to the Grimoire on Guardians themselves and where it says "chosen from among the ranks of the dead" and say no again. Seriously. Just. No.

"They say Warlocks can shape reality with nothing more than their thoughts. Wanna see what happens when we take Amphetamines?"

This one actually isn't a problem. I just want to say that it is amazing and almost made me change my mind about the whole thing. Almost. Still, thank you for that. I seriously laughed out loud. Showed it to my family, too. They loved it. Well, my brother did. The others were like "wut. m8, you cray-cray."

"They make it work."

Also made me giggle. Thank you for that.

**List within a list within a list. Booyah.
Alright, I will go through each of your grievances and address them one by one:

1) In regards to the lack of a helmet, it was mentioned in the Grimoire Card Vex 4 that the Traveler terraformed the atmospheres of (or, in the case of the Moon, just flat out made it one in the first place) each of the Solar System's planets to have breathable atmospheres. I'd point out that only Hunter helmets have been noted to possess respirators. However, I'm willing to concede this if you still feel strongly.

2 & 3) In regards to Maulimer's abilities, I concede that you are correct, and am willing to alter that Maulimer simply has a vanilla Sunsinger's self-resurrection.

4) You would be perfectly correct in saying that Shrapnel Launchers are far too large for a humanoid to wield... if it weren't for the fact that we've seen Dregs, which are equal in size to Guardians, equipped with them before- Dregs which, I might point out, only have two out of their four arms. Furthermore, the exotic shotgun Lord of Wolves is literally a modified Shrapnel Launcher, as stated in its card. Both facts lead us to believe that it is perfectly possible for a Guardian to wield this weapon.

5) While I certainly agree with all of your observations on this subject, I wager the fact that all of those factors will inspire better character development during the RP. Yes, they are flaws in Maulimer's character and will cause him to fail at certain things. But that is typically desirable, no? Perfect characters are rather boring.

6) Unfortunately, you are altogether incorrect with that assumption. I point you toward the Grimoire Cards Last Word 1-3, which is the story of how Shin Malphur (the narrator), a natural-born human, inherited both the Ghost and the gun of Jaren Ward and become a Guardian, who eventually hunted down and killed Dredgen Yor.

7) As for the rest, I'm glad I could entertain you.

Here are the points I will yet defend:

1) Yes, the Traveler teraformed the planets, but that was also before the Darkness swept through. The items I listed are (a) heat protection and (b) caused directly by the Hive. There are other environmental hazards like this that are for sure a problem in the Destiny worlds. The Traveler did much, but the Darkness undid much as well. In terms of the class helmets, I find little reason to believe that the others do not as well.

4) I admit to have slightly hoped you might use that argument, and here is why: Destiny: Rising Tides - Lore | RpNation.com - Best Roleplay Forum

Go look at the last item and read carefully.

5) There is a difference between imperfect and neurologically broken. Do you ever wonder why people with major mental illnesses - specifically retardation - can't "recover"? Neurol connections when severed that thoroughly are an issue beyond insurmountable. You just can't.

6) I admit that Shin Malphur is a natural born Guardian, but for all we know he is the only one. I accept that you may disagree, but for the sake of the game we are going to assume that he was a very rare occurrence if not entirely singular in his existence.

Also, you don't have to stick to Bungie's super mods (resurrection being the most prominent). Feel free to express yourself in a creative way, like with Trey's super-charging his grenades for a similar effect to the Fists of Havock (I get that a Sunsinger might be hard to mod, but it will be interesting to see what you decide to try).

1) If you know of a Grimoire card or flavor text that explicitly states the forces of the Darkness undid all the terraforming that the Traveler preformed, I'd love to see it.

4) I was only mentioning Lord of Wolves as an example of Guardians wielding a weapon like the shrapnel launcher, but heck, we've seen all classes of Guardians make use of Scorch Cannons which are both much heavier and more unweildy than Shrapnel Launchers. Also, the Sword of Crota, that thing's pretty large as well. Altogether your point is pretty darn moot.

5) There have been several experiments done on different animals in which their amygdalae was removed; in all cases, the only noticeable affect was a total loss of fear and libido. Furthermore there are dozens of instances in which war veterans have taken shrapnel to specific parts of their spine and lost the capacity to feel pain. Further-furthermore, considering Ghosts construct a Guardian's body from literally nothing more than stray molecules, I'd say it's within reason they can repair brain damage anyways.

6) There's no reason to believe that Shin Malphur's case is a rare one at all. Particularly when you take into consideration the fact that Awoken Guardians exist- Awoken who only became a race after the Collapse, and thus could not be long-dead like the corpses which Ghosts usually rejuvenate. Most, if not all Awoken Guardians were likely chosen by their Ghosts while alive, unless they died prematurely.

Don't get me wrong, I love that you know your lore, but regardless this is where I avoid in-Destiny reasoning and show you the in-RP reasoning:

To your (4):

I) You like GM's liking you, coming at them with "your point is pretty darn moot" is not a good way to get there. I tried not to attack points unless they were beyond obviously idiotic. I expect the same. Responding to this with "I am" would also not be the right way to get there, by the way.

II) There is a proverbial foot, and where it currently is can only be described as "down". You want to distinguish your character? Cool. Do it throughout the damn game, not before it ever starts. You see what I told other people? We are not the best of the best. Yeah, we're good, but compared to most we are still just schmucks. We could just about be anyone, we just happen to be good at what we do. What you are doing is making someone that everybody who is anybody should recognize, and as starting characters I refuse to admit that type of shit. Emphasis on STARTING.

To your (5):

You do realize that those things end up causing a little thing that we autistics are rather used to; ostracization. See, people don't like what they can't understand, and when someone is so clearly not like you (for example, when they can't feel fear and are also completely aromatic) you tend to push them far enough away that you can see they aren't like you but don't have to deal with it or until you just don't even have to see it anymore. Trust me on this one. I have plenty of experience with this. Now add to that idea of beings strange and so being alienated the idea that he is COMPLETELY unnatural. He removed the two things that have kept the whole stinking race alive. You just created not just any freak, but a freak of the highest degree. So, rather simply put, NO. I'm sure you'll live with that. He won't without those.

To your (6):

I) Take a look at the Grimoire I have already cited, and the quote within it. By this we must assume that it refers to the majority of Guardians, not the minority. I think they would want us to know if more were naturally born than raised.

II) Where, even ever, did it say that a Guardian had to be long dead? And when did they say that the Awoken have only been around long enough to not be considered long dead? In fact, when did they ever tell us anything about timing after the Darkness arrived? ANYTHING??? I would go so far as to say that every single damn thing I have read seems to say that MASSIVE amounts of time have passed since the Collapse until the game started. Don't debate it, deal with it.

Now before you shoot off another hot reply about why your thoughts are better again, take note of this:

I am your local GM. I created the game with a specific idea in mind. I like that you have ideas to play with and are willing to take initiative, but when the guy that made the game you are applying for says there is a problem, maybe once is a decent amount of times to try to defend your ideas. Twice? I've already told you why it's wrong twice, why I'm not going to allow it, why it is not coming into my game. You wanna play your character with your ideas and have them fly? Go make your own version of the damn game.

Got any more problems? Cool. Shut up and keep it to yourself. Or better yet, go tell the whole rest of the world! Go tell every single one of them, but you try ot push your place as El Macho in my game, you can get out. Look; there's the door.

This is my house, these are my rules. You wanna play God? Go play in your own house.

Uh, you're aware that respect is a two-way street, no? You started out literally laughing at half of my character points, and you're getting uppity when I say "your point is pretty damn moot"? Particularly when it's glaringly obvious that your point is totally moot, and there are numerous instances when Guardians can wield weapons way heavier than a Shrapnel Launcher? Like, you're just flat-out wrong on that one, sorry.

Also, in regards to the Awoken; at some point after Mara Sov came into power, she essentually sent out a massive SOS to all Awoken in the solar system saying if they didn't come to the Reef she was going to close them off. So, we know that sometime between then and now (i.e., during the Queen's lifetime), most of the Awoken who left the Reef to go to the City became Guardians. And unless they commited mass suicide, most of them were probably still alive at that point.

Also, it's not really your house at all. It's Bungie's house- this is a fandom chat. Even the GM has to abide by the pre-established lore*, which it seems I know a bit better than you.

*Unless you want to make this some sort of AU, or something, which I suppose is a different story.

I think at present it is in fact you who should perhaps take a step back and take a deep breath before "shooting off another hot reply", considering you've rapidly devolved to simply telling me to shut up as opposed to offering any actual counter-arguments.

Name: Rellia Korellysis

Race: Awoken

Gender: Female

Age: 23

Class: Hunter

Armour Appearance:
proxy.php

It is coloured dark grey with light grey and black accents. So just a darker version of the above.

Appearance Under Armour:
proxy.php

She stands at 4'10.5" outside of her armour, but her height rises to 5'3.5" whilst wearing it, which she usually is.

Super Modifications: Bladedancer(Modified to augment her Spear), with Vanish as a modifier and specialising in stealth, recovery, and manoeuvrability.

Energy Proficiency: Arc

Personal Weapon Ability: Solar energy flows through her spear and burns enemies she strikes.

Personality: Somewhat aloof, even for a mysterious Awoken, Rellia tends to be calm and friendly even under pressure, and carries more respect for the Fallen than most. She is patient and caring to others, more so than one might expect given her upbringing.

She also carries a judgemental mindset towards other Guardians, mostly due to her belief of their over reliance on firearms, but mostly keeps her thoughts to sidelong disapproving glances and rare sarcastic remarks.

HBD: Rellia had been one of the original Awoken and after many years they found their way back to their home system and began colonising the Reef. During this time Rellia's ship was struck by a stray asteroid and while not demolished, injuries caused by the impact claimed her life.

It wouldn't be until some time later that her ships wreckage would be found by Koryn, a stray Ghost that had found himself wandering amongst the Reef before eventually taking refuge inside the ship, and, in turn, finding Rellia's corpse and returning her to life as a Guardian.

They were found less than a day later by a Fallen Ketch belonging to a small and relatively unknown Fallen house, the House of Ash. This particular house specialised in violent deconstruction and salvage, also known as blowing things up and picking up the pieces for later use. However since Rellia's ship wasn't trying to run away and was already a mess it was less of the former and more of the latter.

As the House of Ash began to encircle the ship, now resting in a cargo area, and Rellia attempted to make an escape she quickly realised she wasn't getting far. Only minimally armoured and with no weapons, it didn't take much for the Fallen to ring up around her and allow a simple Dreg the honour of killing a Guardian. It charged straight at her, and with some advice from Koryn Rellia put the Dreg down as quickly as she could. The group that made a ring around her took objection to that, of course, and brandished their weapons for the kill. As they prepared to take the guardian down there was a massive roar and they immediately ceased hostile intent as their Kell stepped into the cargo area and past the ring.

The Kell then began to engage her, a knife in each hand. Immediately put on the defensive, there wasn't much Rellia could do to fight back, but she wan't of the mind for dying either, and as such she kept trying to fight back regardless of the scours she gained in her armour or the number of times she was struck with the backs of the Kell's hands.

Eventually the Kell watched her as she struggled for breath after suffering a particularly nasty blow across the face from one of his elbows and did something she hadn't expected. Laying a blade of his across the ground between them, the Kell uttered words in his language and backed up a few paces, motioning for her to lift the blade up. Hesitant at first, Rellia lifted the blade into a ready stance only to find the Kell slowly acting out a specific manoeuvre with one of his own blades and then pointing to her before doing it again. Emulating the Kell's actions, he seemed to nod before attacking again. Realising that she'd been taught a counter for his attack, due to Koryn's advice, she tried a number of times to recreate the counter manoeuvre before finally succeeding. Her reward was a vicious strike across the face that rendered her unconscious.

Awakening some time later, much to her initial surprise, Rellia found herself chained in the training room of the Ketch under close guard, but still given minimal room to stand, stretch and thankfully brought meals on a semi-regular basis. Every day following was a day the Kell would come to the room and walk her through a new sword manoeuvre, and every day she would meet the challenge, Koryn informing her it was likely one of the only reasons they kept her around. As time progressed and months passed Rellia eventually earned more and more freedom, first being the allowance to walk the whole training room unchained, but leading to more and more freedoms such as a Vandal sparring partner, escorted walks through less restricted parts of the Ketch and occasionally trinkets or baubles left by the Kell that occasionally served to tell her small parts of history.

After a time she began to be awarded responsibilities around the Ketch, cleaning, or moving cargo, and even helping with salvaging, all whilst they kept an eye on her.. At the same time her skills with a blade grew more and more, and after a time she began to be given small missions that she'd run along side other Fallen. It wouldn't be until a full two years stay with the Fallen and under the tutelage of the Kell that she would be allowed to participate in a full strike against the Hive that would prove to be quite successful.

Upon her return from the strike, Rellia was surprised with a ceremony that was her full induction as a member of the House of Ash, the Kell deciding that she had proved both her loyalty and worth to his House. She was rewarded with her freedom, Fallen armour, the bone knife she'd often trained with and a cloak bearing the Mark of Ash.

From her on forth Rellia continued her service under her Kell, who should would later come to know be named Karasiks, and continue serving her House. During this time she would also become versed in spear based combat and be awarded an electrified blade. Then, on a routine scavenging mission in a wrecked ship, roughly half a year after becoming a member of the House of Ash, their party would be ambushed by the House of Wolves.

During the ensuing battle much of her party would either be killed or scattered as they attempted to fall back from their more numerous enemy, and Rellia, separated, would then encounter a team of Guardians. Under the lead of Koryn she joined them against the House of Wolves and beat them back, but by the time the dust had settled Rellia realised that she was either the only survivor of her party, or that the others had presumed her to be dead and left.

With no other options available, and with much prodding from Koryn, Rellia joined the Guardians and went with them back to the Tower to meet with the Speaker, and train to become a Guardian herself.

Despite taking a longer time than most to due to the need to prove herself to be trust worthy and not a liability Rellia was eventually cleared to become a Guardian, and some time later assigned to Beta-Prime. During the time of her training she. found and held onto a Vestian Dynasty. Initially thinking to trash the weapon, she changed her mind when she thought back to how much use it would have served all that time ago against the House of Wolves. She also took this time to modify a spear of her own construction.

Personal Motto: "You're only as strong as your spear." and "Like any Eliksni, I will only be truly Fallen when my blood drains and I fail to rise again."

Ghost's Name: Koryn

Ghost's Skin: Grey and black with the House of Ash crest and a green 'eye'.

Ghost's Personality: Bold and surprisingly basic and 'tribal' Koryn spent much of his time around the Fallen of the House of Ash with Rellia. He's somewhat vicious and liberal in the idea of violence fixing problems involving hostiles.

He had little objection with the time spent with the House of Ash, taking the time to learn what he could and understanding that part of that time was with his Guardian being a hostage. He also viewed this as a unique learning opportunity and gathered as much knowledge as the could.

Relationship with Ghost: Rellia and Koryn get along amazingly well, with Koryn often watching Rellia's back as they go into battle, and Koryn often aides Rellia like a spotter to watch for other enemies that may cause problems or attempt to sneak up on her. Koryn will also help Rellia plan on how to deal with enemies when pinned down.

Despite this, Koryn sometimes wonders just how much of the Fallen stayed in Rellia, even after she joined the Guardians, and keeps an eye on her.
