Fantasy Spirit Animals

Darron sat down in the VTOL and said,"You know what, maybe I should take the chance to get some answers when we go to pick them up!" He then smirked and Amado merely nudged his leg a little. Darron smiled and said,"Otherwise they can't tag along."
 
Soon enough the VTOL arrived in front of Axton and the back hatch opened Amare waved Axton on "all aboard to the crazy train next stop almost certain doom. I hope you brought your thermals Axton. were in for a chill." Amare paused what was up with all these one liners? he looked at Scott. Scott looked at him and said "your welcome"
 
Axton climbed on with Niko. "Tbank you guys. So what do you need use for." Calian hopped on.
 
Amare pulled out a Tablet pushed a couple buttons and showed Axton what they were up against. the huge silvery white dragon was just as scary looking in the picture this time as it was last time. He passed it to Axton along with it's long list of kills so far, It had added a new list of names since the list was updated with a small town that it had torched. Amare looked at Axton "we are not looking to engage this thing yet we are doing Recon for now to see if we can find a weakness so don't do anything crazy."
 
Darron looked at Axton for a moment and said,"Hold up on takeoff." He then stood up and began to walk towards Axton. He then looked at him and simply asked,"Would you mind telling me why you were tracking me? I'd really like to know."
 
Amare saw Darron go ask Axton a weighted question and he didn't know what to expect so he busied himself prepping Scott for the mountains and a possible Dragon encounter. Amare also started updating the pilots on what they were doing and how they might need a fast extraction a very fast extraction Amare couldn't be a little nervous about getting ready to scout out a dragon.
 
Axton sighed looking at the tablet. "Well if you feel better I also did it to Amare. Back right pocket by the way."
 
Darron stared at Axton and said,"That doesn't answer my question! WHY did you want to track us? What was the reasoning behind it?" He then sighed and sat back down as he awaited a answer.
 
"Ya what does it benefit you to track us? you could try trusting us perhaps." Amare decided he didn't want to be a sideliner on this conversation he wanted answers now too.
 
"Well first impressions are a key element. So judging by the way you run this unit I didn't know." He put air quotes around thw word unit. "But now that I tols you that means I trust you. I could have just left it and always know your location. I trust you now." He handed back the tablet.
 
Niko shrugged, yawning. "If we are going to look at a dragon, it probably has a treasure horde. My dad made me look up dragons and if they have a treasure horde or an egg, this tends to make them overly protective and burn anything living they see. Hence a town or recon-people. Wait, why do you need us? I thought we are the crazy people that get in the way?" She asked lazily, still groggy with sleep. Sol was asleep as her belt.
 
"Well we need you here in case our Recon goes south. We should be able to get in undetected and just have a look around but if it does spot us well we need a little craziness for us to get out alive." Amare thought about all this Dragon had done they really would have there hands full. there were elite groups that killed dragons but the mortality rate for such groups was almost %80 for every dragon so capturing one alive seemed insane.
 
"Well then if I'm going to join you, I don't want anyone questioning my insanity. Dragons are reptiles and so are snakes so I should be able to pinpoint all of the exact locations of the dragons weak points. " she said, lacing her fingers together, a very serious look on her face.

"I don't think this dragon falls into the reptile class very well he is living in a mountain." Amare held op some of the winter gear he brought. "This is so we can survive up there the temputure is about -20 and the air is too thin for us to breath normally. This is gonna be one tough dragon. But let's hope we can find a weakness." Amare passed around throat mics and ear pieces."We can use these in the dragons lair since they are very quiet"
 
Niko nodded. "Oh, it falls into the reptile class alright. They think like humans but their body points are still the same as reptiles. And dragons are the most exotic of all reptiles. They can survive anywhere" she said, putting the earpiece in and the throat mic in her pocket. "Sol is going to have to stay here. He would die out there" she said, stroking his head.
 
"Ok then so are you taking point? You seem rather excited to go toe to toe with a dragon." Scott jumped up on a table "I have an idea! How about we talk to it and see what it wants"


Amare looked at Scott with the are you serious face?
 
"Dragons are creatures of legends. Traditionalists. They are born with the urge to fight for what they want, not talk. If we talked to it, it would bend our words and torture our minds or roast us on the spot." She explained to Scott. "And yes, I am excited about meeting a dragon. They are beautiful and powerful creatures!" She said, day dreaming about the dragon.
 
Amare just shook his head "ok well do try not to let your facination get the better of you around this Dragon" Amare then heard the pilots intercom beep he answered the intercom and listened for a moment. After a bit he nodded and said ok then put the intercom device back. "The pilots just informed me they will not be able to get us all the way up the mountain the altitude is to high so they will get us as high as they can but we will have to hike or climb the rest of the way."
 
Darron shook his head and said,"We don't need to severely injure it. We need to either knock it unconscious or find a material sturdy enough to support it." Amado was clearly showing in his speech patterns again as he continued,"What we need is to be careful..." He then turned to face Niko and said,"Not rash, we're not looting what it has. We're supposed to be professional about this, not thieves who takes everything when it's over."
 
"If it does have a pile of treasure we may be able to return it to the rightful owner after we capture the thing. Well should we get on our way we have a ways to go."
 
Darron nodded as he put on his winter gear and Amado's gear. He then hopped on Amado's back to the new terrain. Amado's new gear came with some new snow shoes that would make it a bit easy for him to walk on the snow. Darron then looked back at the others and said,"Sorry, I'd offer to give you all a ride, but Amado can only hold two people with all of this armor on him."
 
Amare smirked as he put on his face mask."this is something I can handle but if a dragon starts chasing us I might jump on anyway." Amare said jokingly he began trekking through the snow Scott lead the way being the lightest he could test for solid ground Amare had a long metal pole to check the ground as they went as well he heard the wind howling and hoped the dragon was in its cave and not anywhere around.
 
Darron nodded as he followed second, he had valuable supplies so it was only fitting that he went next with Amado. After Scott cleared a area Darron would kick Amado's sides lightly (as much as it made him want to buck off Darron) and Amado would move to the safe area until they found another.
 
Amare continued the slow repetitive process working his way up the mountain Scott would go he would come along and poke around with the stick and Amado and Darron would catch up. Finally after what seemed like an incredibly long time Scott spotted the cave. Amare turned on his Mic "ok where here" Amare got low and crouch walked to the entrance of the cave and took a peek in side it was dark and he could not see to the end it looked like it took some turns Amare signaled on Amado and Darron. Here goes nothing he thought to himself.


 
Amare stopped and looked back at Amado and Darron waiting for them to catch up. Just then there was a loud crack and Amare watched as it started at where he was he jumped back into the cave to get away from it but it went right towards Amado and Darron. "LOOK OUT!"

Darron grabbed onto Amado as the crack moved quickly towards them. Amado suddenly broke into a gallop and jumped over the crack to the other side. Darron quickly looked around and said,"What the hell was that!?'
