Fantasy The Spectrum Knights(A Magical Girl/Boy Adventure)

Anthem began to speak, breaking the silence "I know its probably not a very good but, why don't we all go to the café and get drinks to calm every down?" He said it to everyone but was only thinking about Nani.

Jessica hadn't suffered any injuries that felt important enough to tend to, so she stayed put while the others were patched up. It looked like Lore's healing power was enough to deal with everyone's injuries this time around. Lucky for us! ...I hope we don't need it too often. That line of thought was interrupted by Nani's outburst. Padma seemed to know what was happening to her, fortunately, because Jessica was at a total loss despite wanting to help somehow.

Her spirits rose a bit when she heard Anthem's idea. "That's better than sitting here in the dark," she chirped back. "I'll go and make sure it's still open. Back in a sec!" Going to check things out probably wasn't necessary, but at least it was something she could do help the group. After a small wave towards everyone, she took off down the path at a brisk jog; the sooner she got there, the sooner she could report back.

Nani could barely hear Padma, but she understood what he was trying to say. Her headache was getting worse and she was crying. She put her hands down and started to concentrate. Over time, the voices were fading and fading until there was silence. The voices were gone and the only one left was her own. Sighing and sniffling, she picked up Padma into a hug. Taking deep breaths, she addressed him. "Thanks. I'm still irritated, but at least those voices are gone." Taking a moment to think, she got an idea, even if it made her head hurt. "Hey Padma, maybe my power has something to do with my brain. I never get headaches like this and other people's voices had never appeared in my head until now." She spoke softly. When she heard Anthem's question, Nani became a bit more relaxed. "Sure. He's open until about 10:30. What time is it now? I'm sure he's still open. You guys wanna go?"

Padma enjoyed being hugged even if it was a little tightly at first. "You can read minds Nani. Your brain isn't used to all the extra voices. We will ease you into it slowly don't worry. For now it's best we get out of the street and somewhere with more light. I'll explain more to you there."

Mona grabbed one of the drinks. She took a sip and made a disgusted face. "I miss the drinks from our world. They gave more of a spark when it went down your throat. These make me want to burp." She glided next to Walvis. "Those pathetic little Knights don't stand a chance don't you think Chrome?"

"Whoa. Hopefully I can do more. It can't just be reading minds. If I can read minds, then I can do something else, right? What if I can control someone's mind and make them do things?" Nani shuddered at that thought as she carried Padma in her arms. That would be an odd but cool power of course, but it can also be scary if it were in the wrong hands. Read minds? I need to learn how to control this so I won't get any headaches any more. "Oh. I apologize for my outburst everyone. I should have been more courteous." She told everyone. As she walked, her transformation suit turned back into her normal clothing.

"If we intend on visiting the coffee shop I think I'll revert back to my normal self" he did the similar thing to what he would do to transform and regained all of his normal clothing and his weapon had vanished. He gave out a comfortable sigh before checking his pockets to make shure everything was there in it's place "well I can definitely say my loose shirts are a lot more comfortable then my magical outfit, well I am ready to relax today was a lot more eventful" he let out a small yawn and looked around the abandoned park.

"Yeah!" Anthem pulled his fist down joyfully. "Now all we have to do is wait until Jessica comes back. His transformation suit disappeared slowly with out him noticing, as if it came naturally to him.

Lore stretched a bit before reverting back to her normal look. "We can go ahead and start making our way there. Save her some walking time." Lore suggested. She wondered how long it would take for her to start getting really freaked out about all this. She had remained calm so far, but she wasn't sure how long that would last.

Chrome ignored his sister's comment about the chess set and took one of the drinks. "Thank you Seazim." He replied taking a sip. "I don't know, they are only children. But yet again so were the knights from our realm when they first started. It might be best to put an end to this before they get the chance to improve. But there is not fun in that.." He sighed a bit, putting his drink down in the middle of the chess board.

Walvis looked up at his leaders, "Perhaps...we can make them fall, one by one, like the pawns on your chessboard, sir,"

Personally, he rather have the new Knights destroyed before they gain their full power and cast them off again, this time they not be so kind, but he would not go against the twins command, and if making them suffer is the way to go, he follow them through.

Weiss nodded at Lore's suggestion, "Yeah, let's go, besides, Nani already said he was still open. I need some coffee," she yawned, making her way out of the park and towards the Café everyone was gonna go to.

" We should learn their weaknesses, and make more we should infiltrate their ranks, or cause another to be added. I suggest one of us acts as a civilian and gains their trust. " Seazim said her near monotone still implying she should be the one to infiltrate the group as honestly she had interest in this dimension which went beyond just taking it over. " We could stage an attack and let ourselves be beaten, or at least driven off that would drop their defenses and allow our spy an opening" She elaborated without being asked to.

"Well...I guess that seems like a good idea" we walk half way and she meets us on the way back. He thought the rest out in his head. He stood up with a grunt, shoved his hands down in his pockets and began walking towards the café.

@Rosyshark

The glow of streetlights, shop windows, and headlights was a welcome change after the darkness inside the park. The sight of normal people walking and chatting was even better. It only took a second to peek inside the cafe's window, so she turned and hurried back.

"Oh! Hey guys!" She came to a stop and smiled, surprised but glad to see everyone. "It's open, and I think there's enough space for us to sit together too!" As she spoke, she returned to her normal appearance in a small flash of light.

Minny debated changing back. Everyone else was, but he was starting to feel really cute in his dress. The heels made his legs look amazing! Reluctantly he decided to change too, A flash of red light and he was back into his regular jeans and t-shirt. He didn't realize just how sloppy he usually looked. Minny ran over to the cafe along with everyone else. He made his way through and sat down at the largest table he saw. "Okay, so what do we do now? I mean we were just attacked, asked for money, there was a dude that made Padma lose his cool. I mean really what just happened?"

The cafe was partially empty, with people huddled into little groups at small tables. David, the owner and one of the workers, stood behind the counter, counting the day's earnings. Putting the money away, he glanced up and saw a group of people walk in. "Hello. How are you doing today? Or tonight?" He noticed that his little sister was in the group. "Hey Nani! Mom and Dad called me to say that I had to take you home after work. Are these your friends?" He ran a hand through his dreadlocks. "Go on. Take a seat. I'll serve you guys when you come up here." He gave the group a warm smile and returned to his work.

Nani walked in the cafe, the warm smell of late night coffee and pastries filled her nose. She felt much more comfortable anywhere her older brother was. She waved to David and gave him a hug before he went to the back. "Guys, there is a huge table over here." She motioned to the table by the counter.

Mona felt peeved at her brother's leniency. "Just because they are children doesn't mean their lives are valuable. All they will do is cause us problems. We should rid of them while we can. Especially before that elephant teaches them to use their magic, it's basically all down hill from there. Seazim do what you feel you must, bring Pughilug with you. Find their watering hole and force your way in. Any info you obtain report back to Walvis immediately." Mona glided her way back to her thrown as she spoke. She turned and sat down. "Now go on."

"and have fun!" Chrome added, smiling to his minions. Funny enough, he was being sincere.

"Does this place have Chai tea?" Lore asked as she sat down. "I love that stuff." She added, leaning back a bit. She let out a long sign as she got a bit more comfortable and tried to let all the stress from what happened go away. Sadly it wasn't going away that easily.

Aftet a minute or two Anthem leaned forward and clapped his hands once "So, let's talk" He said calmly as he looked around the table.

This place is always so comfy! Just being in the cafe helped her calm down a little, and her jog had burned some of the nervous energy left after the fighting. There were still a number of things to worry about, but she decided to deal with it one piece at a time. "Tea sounds great to me. Does anybody else want some?" Jessica offered, as she headed to the counter to order. In a few moments she returned and sat down in an open chair. What do we do now? I wish I knew! But there's gotta be somewhere to start, right? Minny's question had stuck with her. "Well...we know some about those monsters, but what about the guys controlling them? Who were they? How'd they find out about u--err, the knights? Is there some way to guess what they'll do next?"

Padma hopped on top of the table. "The man you saw. His name is Walvis. He is the puppet to his masters. He is the one who controls those monsters that his masters make. The woman was Seazim. She has a very threatening power. It terrifies me. She can create pocket dimensions. She can move through them, but if you get trapped in it. You will either die there or come out as her guard. I didn't want to subject you all to that, so I sent her away the best I could. I can't predict their next move. They didn't kill you so, that means they were just observing you. Their next attack could be any day now. I don't know who will be there, what they will bring, or anything. All we can do now is train the best we can for it."

Weiss didn't care if people saw her in her magical Knight outfit as she entered the café. She sat down at the large table and listened to Padma as he explained who the villain's were.

"So....who are we fighting? and how can I get coffee here?" She asked

"You know, That wasnt exactly what I ment by talk, I ment something to keep us from worrying about what just happened." Anthem said Disregarding how serious the conversation was.

Weiss thought for moment, "Oh, Have you guys seen that new theatre down town? Pretty cool," she said, taking Anthem's consideration to talk about other things. She still needed coffee.

Minny sat forward, "Hey I heard of that theater. They tore down the old one and rebuilt it. It's got more comfortable seats, the screens aren't scratched up. I can't wait to go. There's a movie coming out that I'm really excited to see."

"What Movie?" Weiss asked, before deciding to get out of her seat and ordering coffee from the counter. She got it black so she could add the cream and sugar by herself. With a steaming cup of coffee in her hand, she sat back down and proceeded to dump ten packets of sugar into her cup.
