a bit of a mature roleplayer but I'm well aware of the rules that follow to roleplaying here.


I'm still getting used to the terms and various tools here, but I think it has what I'm looking for so here's hoping I stick around and find a few long-term partners along the way.

OH I didn't expect a reply so fast!! Thank you-- for both giving me advice and replying lmfao. Ye, I should be fine, but I'll happily keep it in mind. I really appreciate it.
 
To be totally honest, I have been here since January, and it was only a month ago that I found out there's a news feed where you can view recent activity of the users you follow. And only because my friend Dusky mentioned it.


But yes - hello! I am welian, one of the moderators. Hopefully you will only ever see me in a roleplay or goofing off in the site chat. Don't be afraid to use the Report button if you see something amiss, and feel free to tag me for any bbcode questions that you can't solve with the bbcode guide.

A pleasure to meet you! And ye, surprisingly I'm pretty familiar with BBcoding, so I should be good but thank you for the offer. I also have the BBcode page bookmarked just in case, but if I do have any issues, I'll come straight to you! But ye, hopefully I quickly understand everything. So far its been pretty simple but there's a lot of language that other sites don't have here that I'll have to get used to wow. So far everyone seems really friendly otherwise?? so that should help me out a bit, I think.

Good to meet you too! RPN is small (in my opinion) and has a rather tight community, so there's a lot of regulars that we see all the time. The thing that tripped me up the most was that character profiles are called character sheets here. I don't know why one word tripped me up so badly, lol.

You’ll find a lot of great members to roleplay with here. Before you jump in, make sure you’ve read and understood the Official Site Rules and User Restrictions. After you have done that, you can head over to the Roleplays board for all of your roleplaying needs. You can create new roleplays for one on one or group settings, propose your own ideas, and join other roleplays!


We’re all friendly here, so if you ever want to chat, you can jump into the Shoutbox!


If you ever find that you’re stuck, you can always refer to News & Updates or Questions & Information. And I am always willing to answer any questions you may have.

That might be what I'm looking for actually. The first RP site I "grew up" on wasn't an RP site at all but a story-writing site, and the community that roleplayed there was pretty tight-knit, and when the site closed down I was kind of lost on where to go? I've found a few sites since then but none have really been close together like that first one. I like knowing a community well and being part of it.


SHEETS THO; I'm familiar with that omfg--I live and breath character sheets. I think whats getting me here now is how spread out everything is?? Some of the basic terms here are pretty out there too considering where I've been but at least they all make sense.

When I first got here I didn't understand how or why threads were tabbed? I was used to an older forum where everything gets piled into one thread, and if you need a second thread you just make it and then spam the link everywhere. Now I know the glory of tabs.

I'm actually still getting used to forums myself in general I think, but most of the forum-themed sites I've been on have been pretty organized and laid out (including this one) SO THATS VERY NICE, I THINK SO TOO. It sure beats messaging via PM with a limited word count wowwee.
