Fandom Persona a new investigation team

Shadow Grace suddenly turned to look somewhere out in the fog. Her scowl turned into a smirk, as if a switch to her mood had been flipped. She abruptly threw Grace back onto the stage, causing the girl to land harshly on her side.

"Well well, will you look at that. Seems that someone's coming after all." The Shadow noted. "Even someone as worthless as you gets an audience for her death."

"Wh-Why...why didn't you just..." Grace stuttered quietly, rising up into a sitting position. No, the other had to be lying. Someone had come to save her? Unreasonable guilt flashed through her. She was causing so much trouble for them.

"Kill you already?" Shadow Grace finished. Before answering, she grabbed the microphone and started to twirl it haphazardly in the air by its wire. "It would have been boring if I had just dropped you. You should be happy. I'm giving you what you want; attention. Be grateful."

Without further ado, the Shadow casually faced the fog, an ever present grin on her face. "Come on up here, whoever you are. I want to see who pities this b*tch enough to come get her."

John stared down John as the other John smiled. "Well? Do you have an answer for me yet?" The other John asked. John shook his head, "No.. Only questions. How do we even know one of us is the real John? Can the id exist without the ego and vice versa... How do we know that we are the only Johns? " The other John smiled, "Yes, that is a problem isn't it? The answer is simple: if there were other Johns they would be here which means either there are no other Johns or they are not strong enough to be John." The other John was clearly bothered by this answer, "You speak of me, of us as if we are merely an actor. There is more to us then simply strength. Humans are more complex, if that is all you understand then you will not be able to be John."The other John looked equally unimpressed with the answer. "Strength is the most important thing whenever it comes to a person, denying that is denying natural selection. It's simply evolution."

Adara flinched lightly when she heard a shadow's voice up ahead. And she couldn't help but to sympathize, having been reminded of her very own shadow. She glanced over at Cyrus, curious if he was just very focused or not but decided to shrug it off for now. "...Well, shouldn't we hurry on?"

"Come on up here, whoever you are. I want to see who pities this b*tch enough to come get her." Cyrus stepped forward, "I don't pity her i just can't stand idly by while she is tormented by a fragment of herself." His persona hovered above him, with shadows in its jaw.

Dan really thought both the Johns were the same especially with their words. "John we met about a couple of days ago. And even though it was a short time i know your words are right. Dan looked at the shadow of John. "Strength is not everything, it's the bonds we make that are so very important and i'm gonna kick your butt, ya dang fake."

(sorry i haven't posted been busy with school)

Grace watched in shock as two people became visible through the fog. They were actually here...for her. A momentary wave of hope washed through her, but her Shadow's voice erased it just as quickly.

"So it's you two, huh?" Shadow Grace noted, nonchalantly looking them over. "Figures. Two little kids trying to be heroes, caring more about the deed than the person in need. Oh well, it's not like Grace minds."

The Shadow's smirk stretched across her face as she sent a glance toward her other. "You're just happy that someone actually came, aren't you? Hell, even if you weren't in danger you'd find a way to make them notice you. You're so desperate for attention that you would do anything for it."

Cold fear trickled down Grace's spine. She wrapped her arms around herself as if to ward off the other being's words. "N-No, that's not true..."

"You're such a sh*tty liar Grace." The Shadow commented with a barking laugh. "Don't pretend that you haven't been tempted to pretend to be sick to get someone's sympathy, or almost stole something just so they would notice you were there. Not to mention John. If you could, you would make sure that you are the only person he ever pays attention to again. I know I would, and after all, I am basically you."

"No!" The exclamation happened before Grace could stop herself, and now that she had she couldn't stop. The truth bit into her soul more than any physical injury could, ripping her apart from the inside out. She needed to make the other Grace stop for the sake of her mental sanity, forgoing everything else. "You're...you're wrong! You're not me at all!"

The moment the last syllable left her mouth her eyes widened in immediate realization at what she had done. Shadow Grace finally stopped twirling the microphone and let the device fall to the ground with an echoing boom. Purple and black fog started to swirl in and surround the Shadow before engulfing her completely. When the vortex disappeared, Grace could only stare in horror.

Shadow Grace's body had morphed into a monstrosity of a mythical siren, retaining the elegant shape of a mermaid's body while covered in jagged scales. Her wiry hair spread out behind her while her sharpened teeth gnashed like the jaws of a predator. Her lower body was submersed in the floor of the stage, but she moved about freely as if it were water.

"I am a Shadow, the true self!" Her billowing voice, strangely melodic but laced with a deadly malice, rang in Grace's ears. "Good job Grace. I knew I could trust you to get us even more attention!"

Grace didn't respond, still in disbelief at her terrible mistake. The Shadow raised a clawed hand.

"Now that you gave me the power I wanted, I don't need you anymore. Bye bye!" Shadow Grace brought down her hand for a deadly strike aimed for Grace.

"So it's you two, huh? Figures. Two little kids trying to be heroes, caring more about the deed than the person in need. Oh well, it's not like Grace minds." The shadow taunted towards them, causing Adara to growl beneath her breath. She couldn't say however that part of what the shadow said WASN'T true. Or at least, for Adara. To try to play hero...that perhaps there may be some kind of gain by doing all this... Adara wouldn't admit outloud that she thought about that time and time again. Not to mention the last time she wouldn't even go after the last victims solely because she didn't even know them.

But still..everything else the shadow dared to say all to Grace...Adara knew how hurtful and painful this all probably was for her, and so she just wanted to help her...somehow.

Because she felt empathetic for her.

But before she could muster out any words Grace had already denied herself. "Sh-shit!!" she let out, getting ready to fight with her persona at any given time. "Alright Cyrus!!! We got this!...W-we have to!!"

Cyrus nodded, "Right the sooner the better, no time to waste. Persona!" Moreu-Shaku lunged at the attacked aimed for grace and threw it backwards, spitting fire soon after. Cyrus looked down over at his watch, it was in complete static, I guess I can't test the drone today. he said to himself, he pulled something out of his coat pocket and attached it to the side of his head. It began to make a few noises as it began to scan the shadow.

The Shadow grunted in surprise at the attack and was shoved a few feet backwards by the force. Before she could recover, a flurry of flames scalded the scales on her shoulder, causing her to shriek with outrage. She dipped back under the stage, the black wood rippling like water. A few seconds later she leaped out and turned her head in Moreu-Shaku's direction. Her mouth stretched open to an inhuman degree. Water began to bubble up from her throat and, after building up within mere moments, was spewed in the persona's direction at a high velocity.

Grace, temporarily forgotten by Shadow Grace, shuffled backward. She had to stop when she reached the edge of the stage, however, watching the fight in a daze.

*I see what your trying to do and i appreciate it. This entire Rp has been amazing but the problem still arises that if Rav doesn't post it will be disbanded. I wan't to take this time thought to thank everyone who is still in this Rp and has been through it. This Rp has existed for 7 months so it won't be surprising if it goes down. Shiro if you want to save this talk to Rav because I can't get a hold of her. I honestly wish it could have ended so I could make my visual novel, but I guess I will have to work on it, trying to make my own ending but I highly doubt it would be as great as an ending it would be here. If this does die I will most likely make a large Rp and would prefer it if the lot of you would help me construct this. I still pray that this will continue but we just have to see*
