Futuristic =Survivors=

Chris ignored the ridiculous excitement radiating from the stranger, before simply muttering a one word answer to his question whilst his eyes still remained coldly on the robotic girl. "Chris."

He lost sight of her a moment later, curious as to what the hell she was doing. But it soon became clear, and he saw the cyborg slumped over her shoulder, and in an instant his eyes filled with rage. He marched closer towards her, clenching his fists together tightly.

"What the hell do you think you're doing?!" He yelled at the cyborg girl, responsible for the murder of thousands.

Kai looked over at the broken cyborg, it's face looked happy, almost in peace. He sat down cris cross applesauce, and pondered at what was going on. He had no idea, and no words.

Feather glared up at Chris. "I don't answer to you." She simply said before continuing to guide the cyborg towards a piece of debri. She laid him down and then backed up.

"Rest." She ordered. He nodded and closed his eyes, dritfing to 'sleep'. "I suggest you take a step back." She said to Kai before she raised her gun.

She fired, and the piece of sevri exploded in a beautiful fire, burning the cyborg.

Chris scoffed at her actions. The mechanical murderer didn't deserve a peaceful end. The thousands she had butchered did.

"Respectable, now maybe you should give a burial to the thousands you've murdered!" He said in an annoyed voice.

Why did she see fit to give one of those monsters an honourable end? To what end did they deserve it, weapons of war. They were killers, nothing less.

" Thousands murdered...? "

Kai was looking incredibly confused. Did he just step into an intergalactic dispute between machines? Little to no information about a "war" ever reached his ears in the first place. In all honesty, Kai was a prisoner when the machines attacked. All he knows is that tiger/humanoid machines want him and every other human dead.

Feather turned around and faced him.

"You think I killed those people intentionally? I did not. I had no idea what I was doing. Just. Like. Him. I didn't have a choice. Just. Like. Him. I couldn't just walk away and cuddle up in bed. Just. Like. Him.

I couldn't do anything. I couldn't think, couldn't see, couldn't do anything. I was controlled. I was turned into a monster, a monster I am not proud of. I would do anything to return to my life before all this, but frankly I can't.

I didn't kill those people because I wanted to. Up until a few months ago, I didn't even know what had happened. I woke up after 10 years, in a dark alley, abandoned. Left out. Lost. No one came to get me, cause I watched as they were torn apart. I watched as my parents died, my mother's last breath.

And that's. All. I. Remember." She finished and looked away, back at the burning fire as she folded her arms over her chest.

"It may not have deserved that death, but he did. And I saw him. I did not see the mechanical monster he now was, but I saw his humanity. And it was enough to honor. He made it. He broke free."

She whispered, her eyes glowing.

Kai crossed his arms and started to think. Despite everything that has currently happened, he felt like she was telling the truth.

" You know, big man... Murder under indoctrination is always put at fault of the brain washer, period. If we wanna judge people from their past mistakes, you may as well just smash my skull in right now... "

Talking straightforward and serious was an oddity for Kai, but he felt he needed to somehow dismantle this dispute between overpowered cyborg

Like beings.

He listened to her monologue, intently. Although he could understand her plight, and he realized how it wasn't her doing. Chris still despised what was happening right now. Whether she was controlled or not, those people were killed because of her. Yet she lived in some secret forest... To what end? Did she not wish to redeem herself? To obtain vengeance and justice upon the machines? The mans words did little to change his mind, only annoying him further. The death of thousands of innocents could not be pegged as a 'past mistake' brainwashed or not.

"Yet here you stand, living in a hidden garden, making no effort to gain justice for the deaths that they MADE you cause, and how can the deaths of thousands be labeled as a mistake!"

Feather stayed calm as she spoke.

"You have known me for less than 24 hours. How the hell do you know what I've been doing.." She hissed as she turned to face him. She was about to lash out when she heard a glotching sound in her head.

She growled and opened up her leg, taking out an EMP grenade and her power rifle. Without another word, she ran away from the fire and the jerk.

She ran through the streets and she put on her headset. "Copter do you copy?" She called through the mike. 'Copy, loud and clear.' Came the answer. "I need you centered in northern district, five o eight." 'Copy that. Copter on the move.'

She continued running at top speed and soon stopped before rounding a corner.

" You're right, it would be silly to call it that... Since she was at no fault at all, according to her story anyway. "

Kai paced back and fourth, wondering how people could be so closed minded to trivial facts such as 'hivemind tactics'.

" Let's say a man wanted someone dead, but he didn't have the strength to do it alone. He goes to his workbench to create a weapon to give him the strength to kill this person, using seemingly innocent materials. After the weapon is complete, he goes and kills said individual. Here's the twist, the weapon is punished! It couldn't have done a thing without an operator, yet, people don't know who actually pulled the trigger. Things like this have happened in the past to be sure; there were even moments when weapons such as this were outlawed and treated as a scourge to the world. "

Kai stops pacing for a moment, then stops and crosses his arms once more.

" But what if there was just an enemy too great out there, and they wanted you dead. You were so quick to throw away the weapon that wounded you, so now you're defenseless. On the other hand, that great enemy doesn't follow the same laws you do, and now he's coming after you. As you're running, you happen to find the weapon laying on the ground. Do you stand there and yell at it for what it was forced to do? Or do you pick that weapon up and use it to save your life?... I've got resources to scavenge... Think on this Chris... "

Kai walked around the robots and harvested their OSM.

(That broke my heart... Gtg)

Chris mulled over the words that the man had spoken, and it made him falter, albeit not completely. He mentally challened the analogy he was faced with, before pacing up and down for a moment.

"Pray tell: Why would one not fight the great enemy? Why would one not work to destroy that enemy? Why would you simply hide from that enemy?"

He paid no mind to the mechanical murderer running off, he half hoped she didn't return.

Kai slowly started walking back.

" Asking me that, would be just the same as asking why a caterpillar couldn't fly away from an angry human wanting to step on it. Maybe you were given the power to truly defend yourself during this conflict, and maybe even make a difference; you're a lucky one. But don't confuse your gift for the answer everybody needs. Just because you can fly away from a human wanting to step on you, it doesn't make you a butterfly. "

Kai took a step back and chuckled to himself; he used to use medications to avoid thinking such insane thoughts.

" You know what... It's alright! I'm not making any sense, I shouldn't! I'm only still a caterpillar after all... Maybe someday I'll be able to truly fly and make a real difference. "

Kai walked around and quickly finished harvesting the technology from the fallen robots, then stops and pauses. It's like he forgot to ask something very important.

" Did you say... Forest?? "

Nora heard a big explosion. She looked down from the building she was standing on to see what looked like people, fighting some robots. She watched them as they fought, wondering if she should join them. On one hand, it was probably easier to survive during thses hard times in a group, but on the other hand, she would have to talk to them.

Nora sighed at her own silliness. She could fight robots, but she couldn't talk to people. She decided to look at them so to see if they were trustable.

Feather raised her rifle and shot the nearest cyborg straight in the head. The others reacted with tackling her. She ducked and avoided most, but one of them pinned her down. She growled and soon, the cyborg went limp.

"Copter over, copter coming in!" A voice echoed. Feather smiled and pushed the cyborg off of her. Cyborgs all around her fell as they were shot with plasma bullets.

Chris sighed at the whole ordeal, now bored of the new man trying to act like some sort of omniscient harbinger of wisdom, and answered the question if not to just get rid of him.

"Down through that passage, it's more of a garden with trees than a forest." He answered, not interested in making small talk with the currently much smaller man.

Kai clapped his hands together in excitement; he wasn't sure how a forest could have survived the war, but he was extremely interested.

" Sweet! Take it easy big man; I think your friend might want your help though... C'mon! You know you want to! "

Kai hinted towards Chris helping out the female cyborg, she seemed like she was gonna get into some trouble.

I stumble throughout the area, observing my surroundings yet seeing nothing. I glance to my left and see what seems to be an abandoned building. I run inside and climb the flights of stairs to the roof. The wind howls as I step to the edge of the building and notice a battle raging in the distance. I squint to see more but to no avail, I can see no more than one person surrounded by many other larger persons. "What? A woman?" I mutter but shake it off as just an illusion. As I turn around a large robot is towering over me, ready to strike down on me. I quickly reach for one of my swords just as he strikes his blow, landing a direct hit to the center of my blade. Although I take no physical harm from the slash its self, the sheer power and momentum thrusts me backwards, pushing me off of the roof and sending me hurling in your direction. The ground bellows as I land a mere 70 yards away, causing dust and smoke to gust around me. "Ouch... That hurt..." I start to sit up slowly, but my broken arm restricting my movements.

Feather shot the head off two cyborgs and then ducked as one of the cyborgs lunged for her. The copter had taken out most of her opponents. She punched through two more, and only one was left. She delivered a kick to his head and it fell off. She grunted and fell down on her knees. That is, until she saw him. Her eyes widened and she rose, walking over to the man who was currently attempting to sit. "Identify yourself," she said, her eyes narrowed as she spoke to him.

@DarkHawk267

I look up at you and quickly notice your weapons, using my good arm to propel myself backwards and standing to face you. "Identify myself?" I puzzle for a bit and then my eyes go wide. I grab one of my katana and sprint towards you, lunging my blade out towards your head but missing, plunging it deep into a robots circuit board. "Look, we can talk later. Let's just get somewhere safe first." I pull out my katana and slide it into tits sheathe before turning back and start to run towards the nearest canopy of cover.

Feather backed away as he advanced and ran after him. "Hold up bastard!" She yelled as she tackled him, pinning him down. Her metal hand held tightly to his good arm. "Move and I crush it.." She threatened. She paused. "Identify yourself." She repeated.

I sigh and look back at you. "You just don't give in do you?" I quickly force my body towards you, ignoring the pain as the bones in my arms snap and I roll away from you. I stand up with my knees and my arms begin to heal rather quickly; soon after I am able to move them freely again. "Now didn't you know its better to introduce yourself first?" I let out a long sigh and scratch the back of my head. "My name is Axel, and you are?"

(If I don't reply right away its because I had to go to soccer practice. Sorry.)

Archer gasped as she rolled off. She then narrowed her eyes at him. "Is that how you treat a lady?!" She snapped angrily.

She then sat down and crossed her arms over her chest. She sighed. "Feather Archer.." She muttered.

She then leaped at him and once more pinned him down, her eyes burning with fury. "Stay down!" She hissed as she sat on him, straddling him. "What are you doing here?" She asked.
