Fantasy Hybrid, Magic Camp

Sarthiss walked to the door and unlocked it. "It seems a little suspicious. Other people live here too." he explained. He then scooped her off her bed prince charming style and blew on the remains of last night's fire in the fireplace. They sparked to life, but Sarthiss made them stay low. He stood inside the tall fireplace in the common room of the cabin. "Remember when I told you to turn to shadows? Try it now. The current from the flames will carry you through the chimeny. I'll follow soon after." He glanced lovingly into her eyes.

Eevee stared into Sarthiss's eyes, still holding her ears back and her tail wrapped around her leg. She decided not to argue and just do what he said. She changed her appearance to a black and grey mist, feeling herself flying upwards and out of the chimney. She was stunned at what she had just done but kept her thoughts on what she was doing at the moment.

Sarthiss watched her dissapate and smiled. Gliding was one of his favorite things to do. It was relaxing, tranquil. He thought he'd share his experience with Eevee to cheer her up. As his fingers trailed smoke, he called to wolf: "Let yourself out. We'll find you at lunch."

Disipating and being carried up through the chimeny much faster than Eevee, he was a child of fire after all. Shooting up to the sky he materialized partially, seeing that Eevee was still a cloud of switling black mist. "Pull yourself together a bit, not too much, you'll get too dense and sink too fast." He grinned, managing to hover a split second before he began a slow decent back to earth.

Eevee looked at him and once again, followed in his words, sinking down slowly and landing on the roof, sitting crossed-legged and looking around. 'wow...' She thought to herself and proceeded to look around.

Sarthiss was still pretty high up, so he fully materialized and landed with a masculine thud like he always did. He cracked his neck, looking around at the camp in its fine afternoon phase. "There's a better place higher up, but this is good for your first time trying my technique." He leaned back, yawning a bit, stretching. He slipped his arm around Eevee's shoulder as he stretched.

Eevee hugged Sarthiss after she noticed that he had placed his arm around her shoulder, snuggling his chest and purring softly.

Sarthiss grinned, knowing he'd done his part in cheering Eevee up. One of the Air kids closest to the cabin stopped and pointed but Sarthiss grinned savagely at him. He quickly put his arm down and walked away. Sarthiss kissed the top of Eevee's head, being careful not to touch her ears.

Eevee continued to purr and wrapped her tail around his ankle as a sign of affection and thanks. She felt better knowing that Sarthiss would always be there for her if she needed it, and she relaxed at the thought of it.

The lunch bell rang, tolling two times. The camp ate at two, but the dining hall was open all day everyday. Sarhiss thought back to Leroy, he blinked hard and found his heat signature. "Eevee, if you ever have problems with anybody else, let me know." He thought about leroy, the couple of fire kids he had to prove himself to when he first got to the camp, the sparring match with steph. "Ain't nobody fucks with a child of fire," he chuckled softly.

Eevee laughed a little and closed her eyes, not caring about the bell, just being alone with Sarthiss and Wolf for company.

Sarthiss began running his fingers along the shingled roof, noticing a few were loose. He burnt them back into place with his hands, the smell of tar reaching his nose. Eevee seemed peaceful enough, maybe she was ready to try some more of her powers out. "Have you found anyhing about yourself that is... Interestiong? Important? Heard any voices in your head?"

Rosalie walked aimlessly, thinking about why she even was here. No one really wanted her, and she was mainly the third wheel anyways. She shrugged to herself, heading back into the forest once more. 'Leave them alone, and I'll be left alone. Then again, I love the peace and quiet.' The thought made her laugh a little.

When she was fully alone in the forest, she sat next to a pond with her legs crossed. It was time for a little bit of practice. Something that she wanted to learn, was to create wings. Dragon wings. She closed her eyes, summoning the fire within her and slowly stood up. It took a minute, but the fire slowly molded a pair of functional dragon wings on her back. To test this out, she flapped them lightly. Then, she jumped into the air and flapped her wings, although she was a little off balance and fell into the water. Rosalie couldn't help but laugh at herself. She then got back up, dried off her clothes, and attempted the second time. This time she did manage to stay in the air for 30 seconds, then landed back on the ground. "Third time's a charm." She lifted slowly into the air, flapping her wings calmly. Soon enough she was at the level of the top of a tree, smiling and laughing to her victory. Slowly she climbed back down to the earth, landing neatly on the earth. The wings disappeared at her command, and she decided to rest in the trees. Rosalie climbed up into the nearest tree, and drifted for an hour nap.

Eevee looked at him confused. "What do you mean Voices?" She questioned. It was odd that Sarthiss had mentioned voices, and the fact that he just pulled it out of nowhere made it even more confusing as to why he mentioned it. "Do you mean like...just random thoughts to yourself, subconscious things like that, or what?"

Sarthiss shook his head. "Nonono, just thoughts or dreams you've never had before. Nothing too drastic, just like... Whispers maybe, I dunno." Sarthiss remembered how Flare had clasped her hands over her ears frequently towards the end, hoping Eevee didn't show similar symptoms of her power possibly consuming her. He was a bit concerned after he saw the fire at the lake she had accidentially conjured.

Eevee thought a little, rummaging through her memories for anything that could be strange. "No. I don't think so." She replied plainly. "But I have figured out how to do this." She held a little black flame-like thing in her hands and stared at it before it went out. "Nothing major."

Soon enough, Rosalie was doing tricks and flips with her new ability, flying through the sky with ease. As she flew, her tail flowed in the breeze, and her ears were kept behind her head to avoid them being blown forward. She pretended to swim in the air, laughing all the while. Although something had come close to her, a goose, and knocked her out of focus. Her wings got out of control, flapping crazily as she fell. Rosalie used a small bit of heat vision, around her to make sure she didn't land near anyone, and regained her focus when she was close to the ground. Once she did, she slowly flew down back to the ground. 'Enough flying for one day,' she thought.

Sarthiss flinched and backed away a bit. "How bout let's not... Not just yet." Sarthiss didn't like the black tinted flames. He rarely used his powers offensively, but he didn't like the look the flame was giving him. It wasn't pure. He wasn't sure it was even real fire. One thing was for certain, it definately wasn't part of the sweet tender girl he knew and Eevee.

Eevee tilted her head at Sarthiss, troubled at what had caused him to flinch like that. 'What's so bad about the flame?' She questioned herself. She decided to leave it off and not wonder about it so much and just listen to him. It definitely was something about the black flame that had bothered him so much as to flinch.

Sarthiss relaxed a bit when she put it out, but he was still tense. When the school he and Flare went to burnt down, that was the type of flame that caused it. Sarthiss survived by hiding in the room that controled the sprinkler system, but he still had a nasty jagged scar just above his knee where the flames touched him. It hadn't burned him. It just... seemed to seep into him. Being a child of fire, he ignored it at the time, but he knew it was still dangerous. Come to think of it, Eevee had never seen the scar, she never saw him with his pants off... Sarthiss shook his head, blushing a bit. "Please, don't do that. Like, until you can control all of your powers well. You need to master one thing before you move onto the next aspect..."

Eevee nodded, seeing that he was blushing, if not just the slightest. 'What is he thinking about that caused him to do that?' She decided not to ask and just kept quiet like the last time. She would've said something, but it wouldn't have been the right time to ask him a question abut what he was thinking if it was personal.

Sarthiss shrugged and jumped off the roof, rolling a bit before springing to his feet. "I'm hungry. I'm going to get something to eat. You coming too wolf?" He snapped his fingers at his friend, he hadn't seen wolf eat aside from the fish at the lake.

Wolf wagged his tail happily, and then barked in delight. He did a circle, almost like he was chasing his own tail. Eevee stayed on the roof and just sat there. Wolf looked at her and threw his head back a little, asking if she was coming. The Neko shook her head and flicked her ear at him, telling him to just go ahead. Wolf then turned to Sarthiss and wagged his tail, doing a small yip before jogging past him a bit.

Sarthiss walked into the dining hall, wolf following him. He was the center of attention, having a hellhound indoors. Sarthiss bared his teeth in a savage growl at anyone who looked crosseyed at him. He had enough on his plate with Eevee, now these shitheads not accepting wolf. Sarthiss didn't care to be honest, it was mostly an act to keep up his 'imma beat yo ass' stature. Grabbing some meat and tossing it to wolf, he also took some bread and a piece of raw chicken. He didn't like the way the cafeteria cooked it, he liked his meat grilled. "C'mon buddy," he said, jerking his head at wolf, "I've got a place you need to see." Sarthiss kicked open the door and wandered towards his meadow, munching his bread.

Wolf followed close behind. 'I'm guessing that Eevee is jsut gonna stay on the roof? Does she ever eat?' Wolf asked, tilting his head as he caught up and walked side-by-side with Sarthiss.
