Realistic or Modern The Special Batch

+Sophie Muckson+

Sophie was completely drenched by the time the duo rounded the corner. She dragged her fingers through her hair to get the wetness out of her face. She watched as Kai pulled up his collar and blew into his hands, her own were tucked under her armpits, thin arms crossed over her chest. Goose pimples spread over her exposed legs as they continued their walk in the rain. She glanced up as he elbowed her, listening as he asked her about her actions.
"So, what? You just rebel against anything anyone says?" She shrugged shortly before responding with a simple. "I just live." Sophie found Kai's presence somewhat relaxing, he seemed to ask her questions, but never dug too deep. She appreciated that. By the time they reached the cafe, Sophie's canvas shoes were drenched and she was having a hard time not trembling like a leaf. "How about we stop in the cafe until the rain lets up? The club isn't even open until later." @Stoked911

"Consider it." the girl said, He was confused, his normal self would consider that as flirting but who knows what intention this girl had, maybe only to go eat. ''I will. Here's my number, if you ever want to hang out.'' he said, grabbing a piece of paper from his backpack and writing his number down. ''Take that as you wish, or, you can follow me. I'll be roaming around the place, maybe catch some new people to hang around with.'' Ace was bored, and the rain made the atmosphere seem gloomy yet like something would happen. Or, it was just the average day. The light rain was comfortable anyways, it gave that sense of warmth even tough the water was as cold as it could get, maybe at tempature of an ice cube.

Plot Point

Something happened, something random teens wouldn't expect. The place got very, very foggy in a instant, making the place nearly impossible to see. Some girls screamed, in panic of what was happened. The mist was thick, difficult to breathe. A light beam broke the silence, some type of beings walking outside, with what seemed exoskeletons. They were humans, adult ones, walking down what seemed invisible stairs. ''Ace Larke, Blake Lavander, Jack Storks, Kai Roberts, Wendy Salling, Sophie Muckson, Anna Lynn Pavelski, Dominic Romanov, Jersey Cane, Danny Reaver and Quinn Taylor. You are all special, interlanced. You are the most important life form here, maybe you are not know to eachother, maybe complete strangers, or enemies. But, you are all united. You are tough, nearly unbeatable by average humans, yet defeatable inbetween you all. Your mission is to bring peace to this world we made, they didn't listen to our signals, they are all going to kill the planet we gave them, the average humans. Go out, and do your task. NOW!'' the man shouted, a cold, metalic voice.

Those were the original humans, the real ones, this group of teenagers were also one of them, they actually sacrificed their songs to get the corruption out of the beings they created. Ace trembled, nearly in fear, yet shock at the same time. Other teens looked in awe, the select group slowly approached the place where the light had been, confused. It was their time, they didn't explain much, but the neccesary.
''So, I have no idea what just happened, but, I think we gotta stay together.''

Quinn Taylor

Quinn walked out of the building that she oh so hated. With her blonde hair messily curled and large shirt acting as a dress, she made her way towards the front gates. She kept her heavily outlined blue eyes casted down to the ground as she walked, not really wanting to talk to anyone. She heard the bickering between students, the rude comments that they made about each other. It annoyed the hell out of her, but she kept her cool. The long cross necklace reflected any traces of sunlight that were able to sneak past the stormy clouds. The cold rain fell onto her slender body and the blonde let out an annoyed groan. "Damn rain. Why can't you wait till I'm at home to rain? Is that too much to ask for?" Quinn asked angrily as she passed through the large black gates. It was like escaping from prison. The air that filled her lungs felt cleaner, and almost made her smirk.

The sudden fog seemed to appear out of nowhere and that got Quinn's attention. The voice that belong to a very interesting man seemed to be spouting nonsense to most, completely confusing those who didn't understand it. Yet, Quinn was able to process some of it. This reminded her of a game that she had recently played, and so the thought of her being involved in something like that nearly excited her. Without knowing it she had gone to where the strange light was and looked at the others. A boy spoke a simple phrase that made perfect logic.
'Oh hell no. I'm so not going to be rooming with these people' Quinn thought then groaned and ran a gloved hand through her hair and then placed her hands on her hips. She kept her mouth closed as she looked around the circle of people that she was already feeling uncomfortable being around.

Sorry! I am way too lazy right now to describe this outfit. It's so complicated anyways. ><

Anna Lynn had just finished calling the taxi and had hung up only moments before the booming voice echoed through the quad and the light flashed. The very second that the light disappeared eyes bore into her in a way that her cold, aggressive personality was refusing to accept at that very moment. It took so much on her will power to keep from swearing at the boy adjacent to her who seemed to practically be in awe of her. She knew that that probably wouldn't be good for her but it might keep them away. Balling her hands into small fists she watched the people who had been called out approach the light hesitantly. Pulling her black jacket around herself as a layer to shield her from the others she spoke, the dark liner in her eyes bleeding in the rain. The fog had really freaked her out and quite frankly what made them think this wasn't just some massive prank on them or something?

Dominic watched the fog fade and he watched as Quinn spoke loudly and obnoxiously. "Just chill out Quinn. We don't even know who that was speaking." He was quite perplexed by the whole situation and the crowd wasn't helping. Approaching the place the light had been he scanned the edges of the crowd for the others the speaker had mentioned. He saw them all one by one, not exactly that excited about being 'united' against evil. If this was a joke it wasn't a very good one. But if it wasn't..... With another look around, he say Anna Lynn almost slinking back and away from the spot where he stood. Quinn however looked uncomfortable but at least she didn't look like she would rather die than be anywhere near them.

Danny was just about to spar with some guy when the fog set in stopping him in his tracks "What the" He said looking around "Where am I" He said looking around for some one until he turned around and found the circle of people "whats going on" he said as he looked around the circle annoyed at how this happened before he could blow off some steam "this sucks i was just about to beat some guy down" he mumbled as ha took off the fighting cloves and put them in his pocket then took out the mouth guard out and put it in the other pocket while putting a shirt on that he had with him on "what is this" he asked the other people

(OH MAN. So sorry I haven't jumped in yet ^^")

Blake had been lounging on the front steps, quietly reading a book. It wasn't a very interesting book, to be perfectly honest, but it was more amusing than waiting for the last day of school to end. The blonde hadn't exactly minded school, but… Well, needless to say, she was ready for it to be over so she could go home and relax.

But then, of course, something happened. Mystery fog. Blake's favourite kind of weirdness. The voice -much less one saying her name in a slightly worrying tone- startled her enough to make her drop the book and roll off the steps. Frantically getting back up, she found herself near a group of similarly terrified teenagers. The owners of the other names, she imagined. Were they seeing this? They had to be seeing this, and hearing this crazy speech about… Important life-forms? Something about the world? Had she just finally snapped on the last day of school and gone bonkers?

It was a possibility, but after blinking and rubbing her eyes furiously, she concluded it was not a daydream. The voice finally stopped, leaving the group of names it had called standing awkwardly together, all in varying degrees of shock.

"Well. That was exciting." She said simply, half to herself. "What a way to end the school day, huh."

Jersey finished giving a customer their drink before seeing the fog outside. "The hell?" She mumbled before taking off her apron and walking outside. She tried to see past it but it was no use. 'Wonder what the hell is going on...this is going to drive customers away...' she thought to herself and sighed. She saw people walk down from the air and her eyes widened. This was not real it couldn't be real. The people stopped and looked at her then the other. Jersey didn't know the others were standing next to her until she looked to her left and right. "This is some freaky shit..." she mumbled before seeing Kai and looked at him. "Well if it ain't pretty boy..." she said to him then looked at the others. She looked at the people talking about her and the others being protectors of the earth.

The blonde took the phone number from him and nodded. "Right, I'll keep that offer for some other rainy day." The rain was now starting to become a bit more constant and heavy. It caused her hair to frizz up the slightest bit. Wendy peered to the boy once more before letting a deep sigh escape her lips. "Ah, it's such a nice day. Isn't it?" Without waiting for an answer, the girl began walking away only to be distracted by the amount of fog that had suddenly begun to engulf the campus of the High School. It was suffocating, her vision becoming limited in the mist. "How strange." She squinted and walked a bit more before stopping completely at the sheer light beam that peered through the heavy fog.

Beings that could not really be defined other than the figure of a man. He spoke, and the rest seemed to be clustered into a circle. Something about
real humans and making the world peaceful. It was so abrupt, Wendy raised an eyebrow skeptically. If this was some type of joke, it wasn't funny. The right word to define the event that had just occurred was pure weird. It was a bit scary to be honest, a shock. After the phenomena was over, the blonde looked around her to inspect these other teens who were supposedly her kind. What she saw was more irritating than anything else. "Well, I'd love to hang around and play house with all of you. But, I'm afraid I live in reality and this ain't cutting it. I don't care what that guy said, none of you are my kind."

No one believe the guy that had arrived. Something in Ace made him believe what just happened was more than real. Ace had a very big knowledge of aircrafts, and what he made of it, was not human. "Well, I'd love to hang around and play house with all of you. But, I'm afraid I live in reality and this ain't cutting it. I don't care what that guy said, none of you are my kind." Ace clenched hsi fist, confused yet with some sense of what happened was real. ''I don't know about you guys, but I don't think a prankster can fill a street of fog, then arrive in a fucking spaceship! I just wanna play my part, and I'm going to do what that dude told me, I'm finally the center of something, and I'm not going to lose this chance.'' he said to the group that was in a tiny circle.

Ace sighed, he was depressed no one even tried to believe. He wanted to do something, change something, but no,the group of teenagers they chose had to be the most gloomy and untrusting, sure, of our nature.
''I don't know, if anyone wants to do something, follow me. My home's alone and we can talk there, it's right around the block.'' he said, now with a lower tone, while he walked towards the end of the street. He wanted to do his best to not lose the chance someone had gave them, what are the odds of something like this happening? They're lucky, more than that.

Quinn Taylor

Quinn just stood there looking at them each carefully. A girl that was considered 'popular' spoke rudely and Quinn just rolled her eyes at her. She was obviously the type of person that thinks she's all that and is above everyone else. Sighing once again Quinn took out her IPod and earbuds, putting them in and listening to her music. As she listened she thought carefully about the situation. Everyone seemed scared, disturbed, uncomfortable, and down right pissed off. What was the best way to get out of the situation. Crossing her arms over her chest she realized just how much it was actually raining. The cold water had made her hair even messier, her clothes stuck to her uncomfortably, yet her waterproof makeup was still intact. Her boldly colored lips were pressed in a tight frown as she looked through her bag and pulled out her cellphone. A boy started speaking and walking away so she followed him, suddenly popping a piece of gum into her mouth.

"You have food at your house correct ?" Quinn asked him as she walked near him, keeping her soaked blonde hair out of her face. The shirt which she wore was heavy which annoyed the hell out of her. She hated getting clothes wet especially when it was cotton. Her phone was still in her hand as she fixed her earbuds so one was out and one was in so she could listen to the boy and her music. He seemed okay and down to Earth so she knew that he would be alright to live with if it came down to it.

Kai

Kai and Sophie were about to enter the cafe; but the place became eerily foggy. He sucked in a breath, but his lungs felt heavy; uncomfortably so. He began to cough, and looked at the girl beside him. His eyes were glossy; confused and sweat dripped from his head. "What the hell?" He put his forearm across his mouth and breathed in. It was a little easier now, but he was still confused. A bright light appeared and strange beings descended from it. Kai moved without thinking; towards the light. He was almost teleported towards the beam. Before he even realised; he was around a group of people. Kids he recognised from his school. They all looked dumbfounded. Kai gulped, as one kid spoke, but he wasn't listening. Jersey was there; calling him pretty boy. He swallowed his fear and looked her in the eye, "And it's penny-board-girl. Looks like we're in some deep shit." He clasped his hands together. They were clammy. He looked at Sophie, "I think I need that drink, now." His throat was dry, "Anyone want to join us?"

Danny looked over at the one kid and walked over "I'll come" He said while crossing his arms "Id like to know more of why we where pulled to where ever this is." He said before waiting a few seconds "Do you have a punching bag by chance" he asked frankly still needing to blow off some steam considering he didn't get to do it on that show off in the gym "shall we" he said and started to look around then started walking in the way the kid said his house was dying to know more about what just happened to all of them and whats gonna happen to them in the future

+Sophie Muckson+

Sophie felt a roll of panic course through her as a thick fog merged into her vision. She rose her hand to cover her nose and mouth, breathing harshly through the latter. Her eyes were wide with confusion and face eerily pale. She watched as strange beings descended from a large aircraft and slowly began to approach. Her trembling hands crawled into her pockets, and before she could do so much as blink, she was in a circle of teens, charcoal lined eyes flickering around, registering some and not knowing others. She redirected her attention towards one of the strange beings talking to them, her eyebrows furrowing. Once the beings disappeared, Sophie glanced over at Kai and nodded.
"Definitely. Let's go."

'Penny-board-girl...' That just sounded weird. She looked straight ahead before looking at Kai ask if anyone wanted to join him and Sophie for a drink. "...I'm in...after hearing this stuff I need after drink..." She told him shoving her hands back into her pockets. She looked at the beings basically standing in mid air. "This is some weird stuff you're saying...it's not possible that we have powers...I'm sorry but it seems illogical..." She tells the beings then looked at Kai. "Let's go now please...I really need that drink" She told him.

Not many people followed him, only a kid he had never met, and another quite attractive girl. As long as he had one eprson to rely on he'd be fine. ''Of course I don't have a fucking punching bag, I'm not a gym.'' he said. Then, he looked at the girl in his side, she was cold, obviously. She had some quite strange clothes to be in school, but who was he to judge, maybe he's not in the trend or something. He took off his red hoodie and put it on her, Ace liked the feeling of rain pouring on him, and he had a sweater underneath it. ''I do have food, frozen pizza in fact. I'm a teen, I don't think i'll ever be able to cook myself something as delicious as a lasagna or something as simple as some eggs.''

Ace kept walking, until he saw his house. He took a sharp turn and unlocked it, slowly opening it. He left it unlocked, in case some of the other people came, who he hoped they came. Ace greeted them inside, sitting down on his couch and starting to browse his cellphone.

New Power : Intellectual

[ I'll give each divison a new power periodically, have an idea for the Atlethics? Go to OCC and tell me before you make one! ^^ ]

The man mentioned they were interlanced, so he guessed they had some sort of mind communication, an idiotic idea, but too much sci-fi movies make your brain think you'll fly one day. Ace concentrated very well, and felt some sort of pulse. The pulse was some type of message, a simple ''Hello.''. He turned around, looking at the people with him
''Did you feel that?

Danny walked with the other boy and a very attractive girl. He looked at them before pulling the fighting gloves out and putting them on again before walking into the house "So have any ideas" He said while standing there in the house "Why didn't more people come" He wondered as he looked around the house curiously while thinking of when he could blow of some steam "i wonder if theirs a tree i can break" he whispered to him self as he looked at the girl then to the boy "what happened" he said frankly wanting to know what happened and what that strange being was talking about

Quinn Taylor

Quinn raised an eyebrow at the blonde boy and thought to herself with a frown. 'What normal person has a punching bag? Like seriously'. She pinched the bridge of her nose when she left a strange fabric draped over her shoulders. She noticed a red hoodie and turned her gaze to the boy who placed it on her. "Thanks..." She mumbled as she put it on, making sure to have the hood up. As she followed the two boys she placed her music on shuffle so it was easier for her to concentrate. "I can always cook if you're starving" Quinn said quietly and put her hands in the hoodie's pockets. It was weird for her to be wearing a guy's hoodie. Why was she even wearing it to begin with? Ah that's right he was nice and a gentleman so he gave it to the shivering girl.

The trio made it to the boy's house and she slipped off her tall boots and immediately went to the kitchen. Quinn wondered why most guys never cooked a thing in their life. Placing a hand on her hip she settled with grabbed some cups and getting them each something to drink. Water was what she got them since she didn't want to intrude too much. Walking back to where they were both sitting. She set the cups of water in front of them and then felt a weird feeling. It was sort of like a faint pulse. For some reason it reminded her of a greeting. Like a sort of hello. The boy who lent her the hoodie asked if they felt it, so Quinn nodded. She didn't want to make a big deal about it since it was freaky, but she played too many games to know that freaking out would make things worse.
"Do you have a bathroom. I'd like to change" She said flatly, not really minding that she was alone with two strangers.

Maz would scratch her head as she looked for Ace's house, it doesn't matter if she would go somewhere a hundred times, she still get lost. Swinging her arms in time with the deep, rhythmic beats and pulses from her song that had been turned to a unnaturally low volume, she would hum along with the singer and continue walking, " F- directions". She would begin shaking and turning her head as the drop came, her long purple and blue waves thrashing and snapping in the air. Maz would continue this unusual parody of a dance until the song ended. Looking up abruptly, she would take this as an opportunity to look for his home. Finding it, Maz would walk up on to the doorstep and consider ring the bell...then just walk in anyway with a casual smirk on her face like it's her on home. " MAZZIE'S HERE, B*TCHES"... @Sugar @kawiibunnygirl

Kai

Kai pushed open the bar door. He didn't bother to hold it open for the people behind him. He gulped and took a seat on a small, leather bar stool. He took in a deep breath. He waved the bartender over and ordered a large glass of bourbon. The bartender argued; saying that it wasn't proper bar etiquette, but Kai slipped him a twenty and he shut up. Kai waited for his drink to arrive; his hands buried his face and his elbows rested on the bar. What the hell had just happened? Some of the kids seemed fine with it; as if it had never happened. Like it was easy. But what Kai saw wasn't easy. And, he was freaking out.

His drink arrived and he swallowed a large mouthful. It burnt his throat, but the buzz had kicked in already. It was hazing the immense feeling of confusion and ultimately fear. What the hell had just happened?

Ace was confused as much of them, so he looked at the girl. ''Bathroom is on the right side of my room, please don't touch anything there. My room's at the right too.'' he said, in a low tone. ''My name's Ace, by the way.'' The girl seemed interesting, he didn't know what made him spark interest in her, probably because she was named by the big dude back there. Whatever it was that made him interested, he didn't care about it. He looked back at the boy that had followed them, no idea if he had a power too. ''No idea bro. Good luck breaking a tree, I think the tree's going to break your wrist if you try that, apart from me since I take a lot of care of my plants, thank you very much.'' Ace got up, yawning and stretching a bit before scratching his back, now that the girl had gone to the bathroom eh didn't feel the need to act all fancy and good looking, he felt more relief instead.

Then, an abrupt noise broke the silence. ''Mazzie's here bitches!'' He smirked, as he recognized the voice instantly. She was one of his best friends, they had quite a bromance if you can call that, because they never wanted to step it up a notch, and the feeling was mutual. He quickly opened the door, grabbed her by the waist and carried her to the couch, slammnig her down.
''OHH! Purple hair gets beated again, when will she ever make her comeback!? You're weak!'' He shouted, jokingly, a sense of worry that the girl had heard him, before starting to lightly laugh.

Anna Lynn just stood there as the crowd dissipated slowly. On one hand going to Aces house so they can work out what exactly just happened but then they could also end up just being awkward. Nobody at the school even knew her name so if she showed up it might become a problem. It would mean that she had to talk to the people there. So debating between alcohol which generally made her a menace and the possibility of figuring out what happened was pretty easy. The brunette would rather know what the hell was going on then get drunk. So she walked down the middle of the road, letting cars swerve around her as she walked to his house. She could hear them before she even opened the door. Clearly they knew each other from the way they talked, and without a doubt she would be a party crasher. With a sigh, she wiped off the smudged, water streaked eyeliner and walked into his house through the door and stood on the welcome mat. Something about being in a strange house with people she had never talked to made her blood pump just a tad faster.

Quinn Taylor

Quinn thanked 'Ace' for the directions and headed for the bathroom. Once inside she instantly changed out of her wet shirt, socks and tights. She heard some commotion of people yelling, a door being opened once again and shutting before it was pretty quiet. Shrugging the blonde slipped into some shorts that she had randomly stuffed in her bag and then debated whether she would look for a shirt in her bag or just wear the hoodie. "Would he be mad if I continued wearing it?" Quinn wondered and sighed as she put it on once again. She pulled her messy hair into a high ponytail and once she got to everyone was she stopped and stared at everyone. 'Ace' was pinning some random girl down on the couch, a new girl stood on the welcome matt like a lost puppy, the other guy just was mumbling about beating up trees, and the purple haired girl was just there. Putting her hands up in the air Quinn walked to the kitchen. "Didn't mean to interrupt" She said casually as she got two more glasses of water for the girls.

Maz would give a mock cry outrage as Ace declared her weak " You DARE doubt the powers of the Amazingly, Spectacular, Marvelous-and not to mention retina burningly sexy- Amazon ?? Be prepared for the immense Bear Hug of Doom !". With that Maz threw herself on Ace, clinging under his stomach like a baby monkey, she would laugh loudly as she swung under him and tried hard not to fall off. Ace was like her brother, they had a comfortable relationship where stuff like this was expected.

Blake watched the group grumble amongst themselves, half listening to various conversations while thinking on the previous event. That had been… Interesting. Smoke and voices and barked orders. Did whoever said that -and this is assuming it wasn't just some end-of-school prank-really expect a bunch of hormonal teenagers to get anything important done? And that whole thing about special… Whatever it was.

Shaking her head, she considered which group to follow, before wandering after those going to someone's house. If something really was happening, than she'd much prefer to know. Besides, worst-comes-to-worst, she can easily escape the house and go home. No problems there.

Slipping in just behind another girl, Blake smacked right into her back when she stopped to stand on what looked like a welcome mat. "Ah, sorry." She said, eyeing the commotion on the couch. Her thoughts went in two different directions, trying to focus on everything at once. Was someone saying something about punching trees? Tiny fractions of regret and anxiety edged into her mind, making her think twice about leaving while she still could.
