Realistic or Modern Project Atlas: Low-Level Supers RP

There are gifted people among us, deemed “metahumans” by the media a generation ago. Nearly 30 years later, heroes and villains have come and gone, but the world still doesn’t know exactly how to handle them. Adjustments have been made. Mechanized suits have been designed to counter metahuman abilities and are used in different ways throughout the world. The U.N. led the creation of the Saturn Accord, limiting the use of metahumans in military operations and banning any programs designed for human enhancement. Recognizing that the balance of power had been forever changed, it also launched a secret project enlisting metahumans to help counter their own kind: Project Atlas.

Our story starts with Project Atlas’ New York based team.

I am seeking 3-4 detailed, creative, and collaborative roleplayers who will work together to stretch and grow their characters as this story unfolds. See the Overview for more information on the setting and my style of running the game.

Character applications will be open through April 13th.

For some reason I completely missed the first set of tags.

Weird.

Lemme check my schedule but you know broadly what I have in mind if I can get in.

The site didn't like me last night, apparently. It said I should be tagless.

In any case, applications are open through 4/13. I'll review them all then. If anyone has questions after looking everything over, PM me. :)

Hello, I am very interested in roleplaying this. Love the plot, very well organized :) . Are you allowing multiple apllications in and then on the 4/13 you will be making a decision, or will it be a first come first serve thing?

I am not allowing members to apply for more than one character, since this is such a small group.

Applications will not be accepted on a first-come/first-served basis. Whoever wants to apply by 4/13 is welcome to: I will review all applications on 4/13, then and make a decision. There are 3-4 slots (whether it's 3 or 4 will depend on the powers of the characters I select; the team needs a certain balance).

Thanks for your questions, and I hope this helps.

Thank you very much. I'm reading into the history some more, but I'm very excited to fill out a CS. If i have any questions or anything would it be okay to PM you or would you prefer me to post in the OOC

Whatever you're more comfortable with. If you have questions I have not answered in the write-up that others might have, feel free to post them in the OOC. If they're specific to your character or you just don't want to share them publicly, then PM me.

For those following along at home, the answers to some questions around the organization of the Project and other character generation tidbits can be found in the Character Sign-up thread.

Its nice to find a setting created with such love. Lots of detail and history yet plenty of room for original character concepts. To top it off the GM is very player selective.

I've been waiting for an RP like this.

For those following this, since not everyone is following the OOC thread: I posted some more detail about Project Atlas as an organization in the new "Organizations" tab. This may be useful when completing CSs if you're curious about how the group is structured or its history.

For those who are following this thread but not the character sign-up thread, a reminder and a note.

Reminder: Character applications are open through next Monday, April 13th.

Note: I will be on vacation starting this Wednesday (4/8) until Monday (4/13). So if you have burning questions to ask about the RP or any characters you are planning to submit, please PM me soon. I will be able to check PMs after Wednesday, but my responses will be slow, so please be patient.

Thank you all for your interest!
