Silas couldn't help but notice that this was not an everyday thing to watch someone just pretty much start flying and start fighting a bunch of wyverns and their riders like that. He chuckles to himself thinking about it. "Well, this should be a nice experience." launching himself at a wyvern pulling out a dragger and making a saber of ice. He cut the neck of the wyvern and speared the rider in the neck. He continued performing swift and precise strikes on as many as he could reminding him of the past. Until he reached a decently looking wyvern javelin throwing the saber at its rider in the side of his neck then taking over the reins. Swooping down delivering Ali a mini salute before using the beast to move in the air. "Thanks for the help want a lift."

As the three fought off the aerial attackers, eventually the remaining wyverns retreated. The remainder of the attacking aerial force had barely left and principality soldiers had arrived, surprised at how inhabitants of Vaesmarch managed to get a battalion of aerial forces of the empire to retreat. A soldier who looked like a commanding officer approached just as Sendoa leaped back down to the ground cracking the ground under her on impact. "Amazing. Are you adventurers or retired soldiers? Even if you were retired soldiers, your skills are impressive. I'd say get some rest, we are here to change the tide and push the empire back out of the principality. May I get your names?" The commanding officer said.

"I am just a bar owner with combat experience and a regular exercise regimen. The name's Sendoa, Ezkutu Sendoa." Sendoa said to the officer.

"Never.... never fought before... I-I am Alianara Lumiose." She says through heavy breathing. Her body is starting to shake slightly as the adrenaline starts to wear off. Alianara used up more mana than she had initially thought. Is this really combat? Is this really what fighting entailed? She did find some small amount of excitement but it was overshadowed by the exhaustion, the panic, and the fear of someone getting injured or worse. After this over-all small conflict she feels totally and completely drained and it shows.

Silas was still on the back of the wyvern that was kindly given to him by the fallen soldier. He then went to land by Sendoa and Alianara when the officer showed up giving them his thanks and asking for their names. Taking a quick look around and seeing Sendoa introduce herself." I am Silas Gordon. I'm just a collector from a merchant family."Hopping off the beast while saying all of it." Also, the two of you are very impressive I'm very happy to have teamed up with you"Looking at Sendoa and Alianara.

Sendoa was delighted by the compliment Silas gave her, but she looked worried about Ali. She looked unwell. "Ali, you don't look so good. Do you need anything?" Sendoa asked Ali. Both Ali and Silas fought well, but Sendoa felt that battle still could have been a bit much for Ali or took a toll on her.

The commanding officer then nodded and congratulated the trio: "Thanks to you three, we have a fighting chance in this battle and without air superiority, they wont be able to sustain their attack for long. I will tell my higher ups about you and you may just get a medal or some other reward as civilian combatants who played a vital role in the defense of this town." Sendoa then let out a nervous laugh and said: "You really don't have to. It was rather the situation forced me to. I don't want too much attention, but would rather tend to my bar again and avoid any skirmishes." "Well, it is just a medal. It is not like we are expecting you to join the military or participate in further battles, though it would be nice if you did." The officer said.

"I over-exerted myself... that and the adrenaline wearing off. I will recover shortly, thank you." She looked over at the officer, "I have no need for a medal, and I genuinely dislike fighting. If I hadn't acted innocent lives would've been lost." She looks around at the aftermath of the battle, "I hope we managed to keep the death toll low." She hoped no innocents were killed but knew that was quite unlikely. Ali glances over at Silas then back to Sendoa, "though if not for you two that would've been impossible."

Getting off of the beast Silas gives it a small pat before handing it over to a soldier. Listening to the officer was saying Silas thought that it would be somewhat troublesome to have too much attention on him. "I'm sorry, sir but I am going to have to also decline your offer for the medal. But if you insist I ask you please give it to my father for he is much more worthy of it." Looking back at Sendoa and Alianara. I suppose this is where we part ways. An Alianara even if you are not good and don't like this type of stuff you were the main reason we won the day. So thank you and sorry for you having to do this.Sendoa I will be seeing you at the bar another time. "As he prepares to leave.

Ali had commented on that she couldn't have achieved what she had done without Silas and Sendoa and hoped that they had minimized the death toll during the battle. "Well, we need to first assess the situation to tell how many casualties there were, however I am sure without you, there would have been far greater losses on our side." The commanding officer said.

When Silas declined the medal and told to give it to his father for he was more worthy of it, the commanding officer inquired: "How so? Was he a seasoned veteran? Or do you mean because he fathered a great fighter?" "You can come back to us later. I think we need to get some rest and check on our homes before we can discuss further with officials." Sendoa said. She then waved goodbye to Silas and Ali and bowed to the military officer.

Sendoa walked back to the building her bar was in, only to find that the building was damaged. Part of roof seemed to have collapsed. "No, no, no!" Sendoa nervously said as she began to hurry into the building. Inside, she saw that one of the staircases had collapsed too. She rushed up to the bar, only to find it in ruins. Sendoa fell on her knees, shocked by the sight. The ceiling had collapsed and it looked like there had been a blaze as there was still some smoke in the roof. Her life, her work, had been destroyed. Sadness turned into frustration. Frustration turned into anger and anger turned into rage.

"I am going to destroy every last one of those fuckers!" Sendoa screamed before jumping down to the first floor and running out the door of the commerce building. She dashed home to get packing. After some minutes, she arrived home. Her home was undamaged and she saw only a single damaged building in the neighborhood. Inside the communal housing, it looked as if most had already packed up and fled. Outside only three inhabitants sat around a fire together. Sendoa got up to her room and packed a bag with clothes and necessities. She also grabbed a coinpurse out of a hiding spot and made her way down to the panty thereafter. There she grabbed a couple foodstuffs and snacks for a journey.

Finally, she went outside to the three sitting around the fire and asked: "Are you not going to flee like the others?" "This is our home. We don't know where to go. Rather would we die in our home than on the run. You look like you are going to follow the example of the others." One of them said. Sendoa then bluntly replied: "I am heading the other way. I am not fleeing." "You really have become suicidal, have you?" The dwarf said.

Sendoa sighed. "I spend the past hour taking out the wyverns with two others. Had I not fought, you may have become injured or died. After the fight, I found my bar to be in ruins. So I am going to destroy every last one of the enemy soldiers. I just need to find armor and a greatsword or great axe. I am not a fan of the military, but the war has given me a reason to at least fight independently against the invaders. I got to get going now. Heads gotta roll." Sendoa then left back for town.

Eventually she got back to the town center and sat down under an oak tree to think how she should go about things.

Alianara first had to check the shop. once arriving she checked the doors, unlocked. She looked around the inside and out, finding only minor damage. Now she had to check her home. The building was devastated, thankfully she lived alone with some help checking in occasionally. Everything is probably lost. She sat there staring at the wreckage for some time, unsure what to do next. vengence isn't really something she cares for, but can she really just ignore what was done?

Before he left Silas thought about the officer's question for a little bit. Both that guy thought me a lot and without him, I wouldn't have been here to help. "Waving goodbye to everyone then he runs off to his home to make sure his family was okay.

Once he gets back home Silas sees it is particularly destroyed. It has a giant tree of ice coming out of it with enemy soldiers and wyverns impaled on the end of the tree limbs. Rushing in and looking around he could see any who made it in on ground level we're grabbed by the roots of the tree ad frozen. Once he reached the base of the tree he saw his sister with his father laying on the ground with his mother treating him. He rushes over to them seeing his father hurt upset him a bit. " Sorry for not being here how are things holding up and what happened to dad."His mother looks over at him." Well, when the attacks started your father was injured in an explosion So right before he fell unconscious he put up this tree to protect us handsome of the neighbors. Then your sister came and dealt with them. His injuries are bad but he shouldn't die from them. Alright, help me get him to a shelter ".He helps carry his father to a shelter and on the way, he can't help thinking that things would get worse before they got better. So he was considering joining up to help put an end to war. Once he got to the shelter and he dropped everyone off. He hugged and said his goodbyes to his mother and still an unconscious father telling them he will back. But when he looked around he couldn't find his sister so he ran outside and Wehe saw her there waiting for him." So I'm going to go try to do something about all this right well, I am you should stay here with dad. You should be able to keep them safe right." He looks confused "That's my line. I'm going to go deal with this I feel like I could do a better job at it. I honestly think they will be safe with the military here." They then look at each other for a while before they both mentally tell one another to bring it on. She then walks off but Silas tells her to be safe. She returned it and walks away. Then he starts his trip as well but not before giving one more goodbye to his parents.

While Sendoa was sitting under the oak in the town center, the officer from before approached her. "So did you make sure everything was okay yet? Or are you catching your breath?" He said. Sendoa sighed and said: "You seem eager to recruit me aren't you? I checked on my bar and it was in ruins. I went home to get my belongings and most of my neighbors have fled the town. I will help in the fight, but I don't want to necessarily be in the military, at least not a regular battalion. I'd prefer to do my own thing or have enough freedom to make my own decisions when exacting revenge. I just need to find gear."

"I could speak to my superiors and maybe we can make a heroes squadron or an elite task force that aren't necessarily ordinary soldiers. But do you have an idea what gear you need? We may have some basic equipment until you find something better." The officer said. Sendoa then replied: "I was hoping to get at least a greatsword or a great axe, preference on a greatsword though. Also I need some protection, yet something flexible like chainmail or scale armor, but that might be asking for too much. A weapon should do for now though. Crushing heads or decapitating with my bare hands is too slow when facing many enemies. A greatsword in the hands of a skilled user can mow down hundreds of soldiers in a single battle."

"I will see what I can do." The officer said.

Alianara is unsure what to do from now on. She has no contact with any family, her boss and co-workers have all likely fled and she doesn't have a place to take shelter. for now she decides to look around, perhaps there are people trapped in the wreckage left by the attack? or maybe there are just some stragglers who haven't made it out yet. For now it's best she keeps moving and stays focused as to not let exhaustion take its hold.

Silas was wondering around the city to see if anyone who still needed help. After leading them to back to a safe the place he proceeded to the last place the officer. Along the way seeing all the damage that was done in the places where they weren't able to protect. When came across the officer in question talking with Sendoa. Walking up to the two he he gave a slight wave to them.”Hay there good sir, I would like to help with this as best as I can if you don't mind.An nice to see you again Sen

Shortly after talking to the officer, Sendoa noticed Silas come by and talk to the officer. Silas asked the officer whether he could help and the officer replied: "Well your friend asked for equipment and offered to volunteer for the war effort, so if you want to join, I can see if we have appropriate equipment for you to help out." Sendoa noticed Ali in the distance and waved over to her and said: "Hey! How did things go? Is everyone safe?" She also noticed Silas greet her and she replied: "Did things work out or was it as grim as with me where you had nothing to come back to?" For Sendoa, her bar was her everything. Without it, there was really nothing that kept her there.

(Sorry if the post is kind of weird.)

Alianara approached shook her head, "The book store I am employed at has minimal damage but my home is beyond repair. I am unsure of my next steps from here. It is impossible to know if or when the owner and other staff will return and I have nowhere to go currently." Ali's body slumps in her chair as the exhaustion is catching up. She then notices the officer, " what are your plans, Sendoa? will you be joining the fight officially?"

Silas was a little taken back by the officer's offer to give him a weapon he figured he would have to get his own but it helps to make things easier. He thought about it for a while. “A good pair of sabers will do just fine. I won't need too much then that I think . I too have my reasons for wanting to join I won’t brother you with details if you don’t want to to.But I will be be more than willing to join up with you fellows.”Looking to Sendoa he gives her a friendly smile. At seeing her again.” I’m guessing the bar isn’t in the best of conditions it’s to bad I really like going there after work.If need help repairing it let me know it’s hard to find a good place to relax and drink.”Soon after he see Alianara show up after hearing her story all he can do is wish her the best with whatever she decides .While giving her a small yet award wave for a greeting.

Sendoa then said to Ali: "Sorry to hear that. I will be joining the fight, but not as an ordinary soldier. I requested from the officer that they make a special squadron that enjoys more liberties since I might endanger an ordinary battalion. If you don't have anywhere to return to, why don't you come along and hone your skills. Practice might make you more effiencient in your use of magic."

Then she turned to Silas to address him: "Yeah, the bar is in ruins. I will make the empire regret messing with the principality. If you two come along, we should be unstoppable. Just keep in mind the rules of engagement, otherwise we'll turn into monsters. That means don't kill civilians or burn fields. Don't kill those who have sincerely lost the will to fight. And most of all, punish allied soldiers who break the rules. I don't care about officers if I find a soldier violating a civilian, it will be off with his head." Sendoa had a grin grow over her face. She seemed like someone who enjoyed fighting. Noticing the grin may be weird, Sendoa said: "Sorry. I don't mean to scare anyone."

"Anyways, I guess we are in this together and should make the best of it." She said.

"I... I suppose there would be worse things to do. I still hate war but if we can help lessen its impact on the people I suppose fighting by your side would be acceptable." Alianara says, "I just hope I'm not a liability to you." Ali looks between the others, "so what is the plan from here? as I am sure you are aware, I know nothing about the finer points of war and armies and the like."

Silas decided to take a seat on the ground to get a bit more relaxed. “I guess we should try to make the best of it.So I would like to say that I am not in this for the best of reasons but I will do everything I can to help you two in accomplishing our goals. But I would like to mention that…
You know what never mind anywho I hope we get along.Actually thinking things will go well for the group.

Sendoa listened to what the other two had to stay and then responded to Ali: "Things will work out somehow. And if you can help in anyway, you aren't a liability. And what you don't know about war or battle and what you need to know, I can maybe teach you along the way." Turning to Silas, Sendoa said: "You can learn skills along the way. Just because we arent used to battle, doesn't mean we can't learn. We should be a good team. All we need is the right equipment, teamwork and a plan."

Soon two men carrying a giant sword approached Sendoa. "We were told to bring you this. It is the best we had in our armory. Are you sure you can fight with this?" One of the men said. Sendoa took the greatsword and pulled it out of it's sheath. It felt good in her hands. While it wasn't the best quality, it was at least a start. She handled it with ease to the astonishment of the men who needed to carry it together.

"Got any armor for me, too?" Sendoa asked. One of the men then said: "We have a scale mail harness and arm guards. We just need to get them." Then men then rushed away to get the armor for Sendoa.

"Now I need to find leg armor or an armored skirt and then I will be decently equipped." Sendoa said.

Alianara nods, "I will do my best not to hold you back. if we can handle other opponents like we did those wyverns, it should be fine." Alianara yawns and realizes she doesn't currently have anywhere to rest after this exhausting day and begins to look deep in thought trying to figure out a feasible solution to her current predicament.

Silas was setting there for a while until another soldier can be seen walking up to him with a pair of sabers. “Here you go sir, I hope it suits your taste. “Silas takes them from the man and starts juggling them in between his hands. After a while, “He tells the guy this will do perfectly. “ Thinking to himself nice .

(Sorry had corona)

Soon the soldiers came back with the harness and arm guards for Sendoa. As she put them on, she noticed they were size adjustable and they actually had harnesses for women. "I guess since we are equipped, we should consider heading out. Or do you two need rest and we then head out west tomorrow? It will be a long and arduous quest to fight back hordes of enemies and they might even send their own heroes party against us to stop us. But in the end, we should be able to come out on top and when the entire ordeal is over we can head back to our peaceful lives and not need to fight ever again." Sendoa said to the others.

"I... think I need some time to recover, please. I'd also like to make sure my chair is in decent shape before traveling." Alianara says with a yawn, "I will need to learn to better pace myself in battle. If I am drained like this after every skirmish I feel our progress would be slowed considerably." she then thinks for a moment, "where would be an adequately safe location to rest for a while?"
