The day itself was nothing extraordinary.

It was a wonderful Tuesday morning. The son rose over the slightly-misty grass of the Hills, morning dew steaming slowly off of the ground below. People, monsters and humans alike, got up and got ready for their work days, and Solace Burrow was awake. A chill breeze ran through the leaves on the street, as small damp puddles began to evaporate in the Town Plaza. Fall was coming, and due to an incident with the boiler engines, school was out for an indefinite amount of time.

In three households, three different families also awake with their neighbors, not thinking that anything different would happen today. With the sun risen, the day had begun.

In Solace Burrow, out story zooms in on three young students. A human, a spider, and a feline-canine. What were they doing at that time? How did they meet?

Kell
It was like any other morning. Well, for this year at least. Due to the schools closing down, Kell has been sleeping in more and more. It's gotten to the point where his parents have already left for work. Spiders don't typically need sleep as much as other monsters, considering they are nocturnal, but the sensation of rest felt great to Kell. With him being a teen, at least. As Kell's beady eyes opened, he jumped out of his bed and prepared for the day. For once, he didn't have much to do, so he was planning on heading to the arcade. He put on his iconic "Green Widow" T-shirt and ripped jeans. He also decided to take his backpack, in case he grabbed anything extra.
*Got Book Bag!
*You can now hold more stuff!

After finishing his morning routine of dressing, breakfast, and cleaning himself up, he quickly ran back to his room. He quickly opened a drawer on the bottom of his dresser filled with loose money. He piled it together and counted about $50. He wasn't going to be playing that much, so he simply took $10.
*Added to Wallet: $10

He then ran into the living room, before something caught his eye in the kitchen. It was a small bag containing a small donut.
There was a note:

"Hey Kalan! I'm sorry I had to leave to work early again, the cafe is starting to get even more popular with everyone off of school! Maybe you can pay me a visit?
-from Mom
P.S. Enjoy this donut I bought from you know who!"

After inspecting the donut package, it embroidered a cursive purple M on it. Had to be from the one and only most famous spider baker, Muffet. She must have payed a lot of money for this thing. Kell carefully took the note and donut into his backpack
*Got Mini Spider Donut!
*Made by the ultimate spider baker.

Next, he rushed into the living room to grab his phone. Fully charged, as needed. He put this into his bag as well.
*Got Cell Phone!
*Used to make calls, and other messages.

And finally, waiting on the table next to the door, he grabbed his keys.
*Got Home Key!
*Don't lock yourself out!

Opening the door, he let his pale skin touch the autumn sun's rays. Today was going to be a good day. Maybe he may meet someone at the arcade? Who knows!
And so, Kell the Spider began a journey...

That he would never see coming.

Sophie Florentine

Awakened early to get greeted by her father downstairs bound to his chair and his eyes glued to the laptop. Simply giving him a wave back at the breakfast table. The girl waltz around the kitchen. The sound of pots clanging, wooden cabinets opening and closing, the water flow of the sink. Returning with two white empty bowls balanced on top of her head and a box of cereal in her hands and a jug of milk on her other hand, sitting down to finally take breakfast for both of them.

"I know, you hate it when there's no toast in the morning, I forgot to buy some. Got hungry last night, I'm sorry."

The crunching of frosted flakes was replaced with a groaning sigh from his daughter, only for a brief moment. She continued on regardless, despite the lack of toast. Not that big of a deal, she could always just head down to the grocery store on her own later. It was now time to make her leave, laying a hoodie over expecting a cold breeze outside. Grabbing a sunhat hung on a coatrack, right next to the door leading outside.

"Don't forget your phone, buddy."

Reminded by the undivided attention father. Retrieving a phone on the kitchen table she did, now added in her hoodie's pockets. It's a peaceful morning, no school. It's a good day for a morning walk for a young fellow like Sophie. The sun-hatted girl of Solace Burrows. Her white dress and jet back hair have been given life from the breeze itself. Her face was shadowed by the brim of her hat against the sun's rays. Passing many houses as she walked by on the concrete sidewalk. The morning stroll to her opinion is the most calming exercise. Where is she even going?

"Yo, Kell!"

As Kell made his way towards New Town, the skittering of wheels against pavement took his attention. Turning, the class cool-kid Thogas rolled up beside, doing a sick ollie to slow himself down. He sported his usual thick shades as he slowly rolled alongside the spider monster.

"Your up late. Where ya headin'? Hoping not Bliptown, I know your mom works there and stuff, but c'mon dawg! ...hey, did you hear about the Sherriff recently?"

Thogas moved ahead of Kell, doing yet another Ollie as he talked.

"Some kids vandalized these important natural ruins or whatevs just outside the town limit at the end of Old Town. The Sheriffs in a huff about it, like usual. Some kids are betting money on who can get up there and do it again without getting caught, so..."

Thogas turned, making a knowing glance at Kell from over his sunglasses.

"You up to it? Not that I'd ever do it of course. But, y'know... it could be fun...?"

-------------------------------------------------------------------

It's truly a pretty day outside. Sophie walked out of the suburbs, passing the Old Fairgrounds, and stopping by the statue of the old Mayor, Apple Adams. The tree had started to change color already, creating an immense sensed that fall was fast approaching, as the wind changes suggested.

It looked like Everyman was sitting on a bench near the statue, studying a Butterfly. Behind the bench was the area where the brewery and old antique store sat, as well as the old gates to the Steward Family Cemetery lay, and where the edge of town was located.

The sun shone brightly onto the sun-hatted head of the human girl, like a light of hope.

Kell
And it all started, with a guy on a skateboard.

"Yo Kell!"
Kell turned to his side to find the one and only Thogas.
"Oh hey, Thogas. How's it hanging?"
Thogas pulls up in front and tries to convince him not to go to Bliptown.
"Oi, I'm not going there to be all kissy to my mom, I was going to go to the arcade and crush some scores."
"Hey, did you hear of the Sheriff recently?"
"Sh-sheriff? What do you mean? What happened?"
Rumor has it, some kid vandalized some ruins near the city limits. They probably had some sort of historical symbolism, that would explain the police being so worked up about it.
There also seems to be a scheme of betting money to vandalize it again.
"Uhm, seriously? I mean, I'm down for pranks but this is sounding serious man. I can't be a JD, even if I do pull off pranks.
However, I do think it would be interesting to investigate. Wanna meet later tonight or something?"

Roe
Roe found himself waking up to the sound of muffled laughter and excited chatter. He slowly sat up as the sounds only increased in volume. He rubbed at his eyes before getting up, quickly going through the necessary steps to getting ready for the day. When he had finally pulled on some clothes and looked fairly presentable, he turned to face the dresser that sat beside his bed. Pulling open one of the drawers, he grabbed his special keychain and placed it into one of his pockets.
*Got Smiley Keychain!
*You need it.

Heading downstairs, Roe finally saw where all the noise was coming from. His older brother and sister were playing some video game that Roe didn't know the name of, controllers in their paws and their eyes fully concentrated. They sat on the floor, while his younger sister watched from the couch. Her head turned to look at Roe when she heard him come in, her cat ears twitching in greeting. "Roe..hi."

"Oh, Roe, are you finally up? Jeez, it's about time, you never sleep in this late!" His older sister spoke, her eyes never leaving the screen. "You wanna play? We're almost done with this round."

Roe shook his head, eyeing the door. "No..I might go to Bliptown, actually..I think.."

"Ohh, by yourself?" His sister grinned, showing her teeth. "Well, better take your phone with ya then. Call one of us up if you need us."

Roe nodded and looked at where his phone had been charging overnight by the couch's armrest. He took it off it's charger, slipping it into one of his pockets.
*Got Cellphone!
*It's a phone. Your family's numbers are in here.
Finally ready to go, Roe opened up the door and stepped out of his house. He slowly began to walk in the direction of where Bliptown would be, but suddenly stopped mid-walk. His ears lowered and he started to nervously fidget. Even though he wasn't near his destination yet, he couldn't stop thinking. Would it be weird for him to be there? He wanted to go to the Computer Lounge, but..

Roe pulled out his keychain quickly, pressing his paws into the yellow smiling face that stared back at him, and he tried to breathe. He would just..go, and hurriedly leave if something happens. He would be fine..right?

"...huh. Hey, fine, then. Be there at noon, in like an hour, got it?"

Thogas smugly gave Kell a thumbs up, doing a quick flip and starting back down the street.

There weren't many other civilians on the road that day. It was a fall day, and many had decided to either leave to visit family, or be out and about at shops and other venues around town. It was a very normal day, by many standards.

Bliptown could be a fun idea.

--------------------------------------------------------

The yellow face stared back. It was smiling back. It was smiling. The smiling keychain was fine, and that was somewhat calming. It was always happy. it could find joy in the worst of situations. It could be enjoying itself when Roe couldn't.

Bliptown, even by oneself, could be feasible.

Roe stared at the keychain for a moment longer, before giving it one last squeeze and placing it back inside his pocket. Yeah, he'd..he'd be fine. He would hang out at the Computer Lounge for a few hours, and then by the time he gets home his brother might have set that video game aside to get started on making lunch. He was always the better cook out of the four of them. He at least wouldn't destroy the kitchen.

Thinking about that, it reminded Roe that he hadn't eaten this morning. He started walking once more as thoughts churned out rapidly. Bliptown does have that Cyber Cafe, but..ordering is nerve-wracking. And it's not like he has any money on him right now anyways. It's fine, though. He could last a bit without food..probably.

Pushing that particular thought out of the way, Roe looked up at the sky as he walked towards Bliptown. It was pretty, as usual. Especially in the morning.

Sophie

Letting the sounds of fall orchestrate her ears. The sounds of the gentle breeze, the distant bird chirping and even the crunching of leaves underneath her shoes. Followed with an occasional application of the doppler effect in play as cars and other vehicles on the road pass her in blur form.

Her own two feet walked her through the old fairground just on the other side of the street. Her mind offers no opinion at what could have been an eye candy for those new in town. Easily surpassing the Fairgrounds.

It was a long walk ahead but for Sophie this is nothing new. When there is no school, the feeling of urgency is dormant. Before she could even break a sweat, why not stopover the ye olde statue of Apple Adams, wonder what they are doing now? Standing before the monument, her eyes diverted to the scene around her. A few familiar locations but nothing of interests, for now.

Her prolonged standing now made her part of the scenery. Some of the leaves blown by the wind were caught on her hat, decorating themselves before she shook them off. The sun attempts to shine alight on her face, briefly showing her face before adjusting the brim to lean for against her face afterwards. She found no point on staying any longer, the sun reminded her to advance further into the town. She rested long enough to walk again, with a heel turn she steps foot on the concrete side walk again, next stop new town.

Kell
"Fine, an hour, but don't get mad at me if I show up late."
He chuckled a bit. Thogas was always like that, spreading rumors about something to get kids in trouble. Though, pranks were up Kell's alley, so whenever they were minor, he was always game. He watched Thogas skate off and Kell continued to Bliptown.

Bliptown, the home of future entertainment. Filled with computers, arcade cabinets, and all things electronic. It's always fascinated Kell, how there was once a day where there was not any electricity. It also made him wonder where the future of electronics would take human and monster kind. Living in the present was too old school for Kell. You gotta be thinking of what things will turn up afterward is what matters. Or at least electronically.

After pondering such thoughts, he had arrived at the building. He quickly made sure he had everything:

Inventory:
Cell Phone
Mini Spider Dount
Home Key
Wallet: $10
All good. It's time to crush some records!

New Town was the busiest part in town at this time in the late morning. The Town Plaza had a few stalls up selling groceries and trinkets, though were pretty sparse due to the market not officially opening until noon. Several of the New Town buildings encircling the Plaza were fairly busy, which was almost every building IN New Town. A large skeleton fixes his tie in a small hand mirror outside of the "Scaffolding by Design" planning building. A goopy man looked solemnly at the dark interior of Cheri and Sherri's ice Cream parlor. A few people talked excitedly outside of the grand Adams Art Institute, which appeared to be displaying some new exhibit. The regal EAT. eatery stood, as usual, pompously out from the other average buildings. The Solace Burrow School also sat empty, though Not without some students practicing for the cheer team, or studying on the steps to the front door. People go in and out of Bliptown, which may just be the most busy. And of course, the train station sat empty. Per usual.

The day was bright. It was nearly 11:16 in the morning.

Roe eventually managed to make it unscathed to Bliptown. The large amount of monsters and some humans coming and going throughout this whole place was enough to deter him for a moment, before deciding last minute to awkwardly make his way through. Now standing at the entrance though, Roe could only stare with the look that one would have just before experiencing the drop that's high up on a rollercoaster. It's easy to forget how busy Bliptown can get. He..was never really any good with a lot of things, but he was even worse at handling crowds.

Just as he was wondering what he should do now, Roe noticed a certain monster that made his whole body freeze up immediately. With too many legs and creepy eyes..there was no doubt that he was looking at a spider monster. Roe felt his ears lower and his tail drooped as he took a few steps back to distance himself from the scary insect. He still hadn't fully overcome his childhood fear of bugs, with spiders being number one on that fear list. He just couldn't handle them, they look so creepy. Hopefully the bug didn't have plans to go to the Computer Lounge, there was no way Roe could handle being in the same room as a scary spider..

Bliptown was certainly busy. The three main areas, being the Cyber Café, Computer Lounge, Arcade blended into a sort of psychedelics wonderland of mesh carpets and and the noise of electronics whirring and beeping. Several monsters and walked around talking or laughing. In the cafe, a few did homework or played the hit tabletop RPG Hauntings & Homesteads while waiting for their order. Someone was yelling about a pinball machine in the back of the arcade, and the due of Woofer and Deela seemed incredibly focused on a combat game.

Sophie

It didn’t take long for the change to a more urban environment . She has reached New town, bustling with people going about their businesses and meeting others. Coming to a halt on a nearby stop light. She looked both left and before crossing the pedestrian lane.

Arriving at the town plaza several minutes later. The human girl walks softly through the plaza, her shadowed eyes looking around to find anything peculiar. It was almost noon and the mall won’t be open till then. There’s always the stalls she can start there. Turning back, she decides to check on the first stall she passed by when she first entered the plaza. There she observed the sales in silence at the stall.

Kell
After taking a short look around, it was game time.
He quickly ran into the arcade and it was just as he remembered it.
He traded in 5$ for 20 quarters, and started to scan the cabinets.
Several cabinets were based on a few different types of games. Some were the classic space shooters, survival shooters, fighting games, pinball machines, and a plethora of originals. Kell first found his old school friends playing in a dual fighting game. They were an unrivaled pair, not only were they perfectly matched in skill at the game, but they were also best friends. Inseparable. Kell also enjoyed hanging around with Woofer, and Deela was a cool guy all around, though a bit more chaotic.
They seemed so focused, it was probably not the best time to bother them.
Kell didn't play many fighters anyway.
Kell specifically was looking at the space shooters and pinball machines, but that's when he noticed someone that seemed to shouting about his machine.
Walking up to them, Kell asked, "Heyo, what's up with your game?"
He was looking at the machine rather than to the player, since it can be... disturbing to have several beady eyes pointed right at you.

Interactions: Yelling Pinball Player ( Squad141 Squad141 )

Many of the stalls in the Town Plaza remained closed. There was a sort of curfew, not allowing any sales until noon unless on special events, like the special fall festival in Solace, Burrow, Cider Days, that would be held in about a week. As Sophie strolled past a few of the vendors, she could hear noises of sellers preparing their wares for the afternoon rush, making food, stocking shelves, or even re-writing advertisements to fix last-minute typos. Aromas could faintly be sniffed, like the smell of gunpowder before bombs of flavor and fashion go off when the steel shutters ascend at noon.

-----------------------

The bashing turned out to not just be angry yelling, but yelling with emotion. It was Penn, the ambitious penguin from class, playing one of the oldest pinball games in Bliptown, trying to beat the high score of the infamously mysterious SPAM. The machine itself, BIG SHOT, was unique because it was made by some bloke in town, and had several puzzles, challenges, and obstacles along with trick paths and trapdoors for the pinball to fall through. It was intriguingly difficult, and very few had beaten the high-score holder since what seemed like forever.

Sophie

Guess she's a little punctual than she thought. Did she walk that fast? Many of the stalls are closed except for a few doing preparations for their wares and sales. She left the first stall as she finds nothing that catches her eye, hopping towards another stall. Passing many closed ones as she treads into the more active areas. The smell of food is now in the air which beckoned her to come near the food stalls, she would only stare into the items. Letting her ears focus more, just to hear chatter from the locals on today's gossip.

Kell
"Oh that explains it. The BS pinball. Standing for both Big Shot, and what it should have actually been called."
Kell quickly opened up his wallet to give Penn a quarter.
"Here, this game is practically rigged. Even I've tried to study it, but sometimes even just firing the ball sends you out. Consider this bit a refund for that attempt..."
He takes a second quarter and plops it into the machine.
"And this a lottery ticket."
Kell has only played this machine a few times, trying to just learn it's mechanics. But it always seems to suddenly just ignore your call outs, or just fall flat. At least it was nice enough to give you three chances, and only cost one quarter.
Quickly sliding his middle left hand to the left flipper, middle right to the right flipper, he takes a deep breath.

Relax. It's a rigged pinball game, you can't beat that high score. Just play the game, and have fun. And don't get addicted.
SPAM's score was just under 7,000,000 points, and that would be understandable if this were a normal pinball game. While it still dished out points left and right, it was brutally sadistic in its gameplay. Somehow, SPAM was able to ignore these and play a normal game. All the other pinball games seemed untouched by SPAM, and all rested at a fair 10,000,000 points. Again, pinball games always award huge points for hitting just one bumper, so it was understandable. But this single machine, this one specifically, was almost impossible to go over 1,000,000.
Taking his bottom right hand to the launcher, he pulls the stick back, and...
SMACK!
The ball is launched.

"A NEW BIG SHOT HAS ENTERED INTO THE MACHINE! DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?!"

The ball falls to some bumpers near the middle, scoring about 12,000 points.
The ball rolls to the right flipper, and Kell flings them up at the last second. They fling up to the left, reaching a small line of letters, and activates the B.
The screen announces so, with a "B" appearing on screen.
He scores 10,000 points.
The ball falls down, scoring about 26,000 more points during its travel, into another flipper hit. It falls into a tunnel, and is shot out into a small chamber.

"Huh? The hell is that?"
"HAVE YOUR FRIENDS ABANDONED YOU FOR THE SLIME? SALES GONE DOWN THE DRAIN? LIVING IN A GODDAMN GARBAGE CAN!?!"
The ball slowly fall down, before reaching the bottom and falling through a trap floor.
2 Balls remain.
Launching the ball once again, with slightly less force, It scores 15,000 points on the way down.
This time hitting it from the left flipper, it flies up past the chance time hole (rumor has it that it just loses you a ball instantly), and touches a different line of letter spelling "KROMER" activating the "K". It is also announced on screen, awarding 10,000 points.
Ball 2 lasts much longer, scoring a total of 52,000 more points, and activating the "I" in "BIG SHOT".
Kell flips the flipper too early, and sends the ball into a trap door.

"INSUFFICIENT KROMER, PLEASE COME BACK LATER."
99,000 points in, 1 ball remaining.
He takes another breath, and fires away. Suddenly, a large head begins spewing out 3 blue orbs.

"OOPSIE! PIPIS EVERYWHERE!"
Getting a sudden urge to see what happens, he flips the ball up into 1 orb, which then blasts out 3 mini balls that scatter everywhere. The collectively hit 64,000 points, activating the "G", and "RO". The rest of the pipis disappear before they could be opened, leaving the first ball left. He smacks it to get the "S" for "BIG SHOT" (10,000 points), but it is sent through another tunnel.
The tunnel shoots the ball into the top of the machine, when the top is replaced with a wall, not allowing the ball to fall.

"This is getting ridiculous..."
"HEY HEY HEY! LET'S MAKE A DEAL! GET THE BALL INTO THE MIDDLE HOLE, AND KROMER WILL BE AWARDED!
FAIL AND YOU LOSE A BALL!"

The machine is transformed into a Pachinko machine out of nowhere, with the middle spot saying "BIG SHOT", and everywhere else saying "FAILURE".
The wall is taken away, and the pinball falls down the pegs. Eventually, it reaches the third to last row, and it's nowhere close to the "BIG SHOT" hole.
The ball falls into a "FAILURE" hole, ending the game with a total of 173,000 points.

"TOUGH LUCK, KID! LOOKS LIKE YOU AREN'T A BIG SHOT TODAY!"
Kell chuckles a bit at the voice and takes his hands off the machine.
"Oh well, looks like I lost. Not that I would win."
He laughs again. He turns to Penn, addressing him now.
"So what were you doing playing the BS Pinball game?"

Roe watched the spider monster out of the corner of his eye, feeling his body relaxing once it was clear he was going elsewhere. Not the Computer Lounge, thank goodness. Now that he could make his way safely to said Computer Lounge spider-less, Roe began walking once again, his eyes darting around once in a while. Having been so caught up in worrying about the spider, Roe almost forgot about how busy of a place Bliptown was. He felt himself shrinking away, his gaze directed down at the floor in an attempt to will the crowd into nothingness. This place was so full of sounds that it felt like a bit much at times.

When Roe made it over to the Computer Lounge, it felt like the trip to get here alone had been an adventure all in itself. Giving a quiet sigh, Roe quickly glanced around and hesitated for a few seconds, before finally stepping foot into the Lounge. He didn't know why he felt like this every time he came here, it went the same way each time. But still, there was something in him that froze up whenever he entered the room. Or any room ever, for that matter. To keep himself somewhat calm, Roe decided to focus on just getting to one of the computers.

As the aroma wafted from the yet-to-be-opened stalls, Sophie listened into the gossip of the surrounding area. A masked monster talked with a springy monster outside of the Art Institute, mentioning how excited they were the new exhibit that was opening the next day, motioning to a few advertisements and boards on the dark gallery windows. Outside EAT, two water and fire monsters, who look to be siblings, enjoy pancakes while talking about the local ruckus made about some old ruins outside of town while a tired-looking Axolotl waiter takes their dishes back and forth. The loud noises of the cheer squad practicing in the large front lawn of Solace Burrow High were difficult not to hear, though they seemed to be annoying a girl studying at a table on the other side of the yard. Finally, the Sheriff himself and the deputy were talking (though more like the Sheriff was talking and the deputy was being talked at) about some kind of vandalism on the old ruins just past the graveyard in Old Town.

"You know I'm still trying to beat that guck's weirdly high score! I ain't giving up until I do! And because of that weird boiler thing with school, why not spend those days trying to perfect my techniques."

Penn had stuck two stools on top of one another to reach the controls, and had been attempting to use all four of his main appendages, as well as his beak, to shake the knobs and machine to beat the machine. Still, after another try, he got a worse score than Kell.

"Ahh! You're lucky you know, with all of those arms. Now shove over, I've gotta get back into it."

Despite Roe's anxieties, there were not many, and even barely anyone in that part of Bliptown. The area was usually used for group projects or school assignments, or even where the resident gaming club had their meetings and tournaments. But on a day without school, with the rest of the arcade and café portions open, there weren't many here that couldn't use their home computers. The only other users there at the moment were Sunny, the flower classmate of Roe, Tasia, a gooey monster who was also chill and cheerful, and a monster wearing a bag over it's head.

"Well, I guess it is fair that you may as well practice."
He watched Penn struggle with the controls, but it was quite interesting how determined he was to give it a try.
And his score wasn't bad either, especially considering his... disadvantages.

"I-I'm gonna be dead honest, I got pretty lucky with this machine today. I usually don't get that far. You didn't do too bad yourself. Maybe you will be the next SPAM."
Kell snickered at his own statement of becoming the next SPAM. It was pretty obvious it wasn't going to be taken down any time soon. Though, Penn did have the heart.
"Good luck man, see ya around."
He leaves with a wave and heads to another cabinet.
He's only used 2 coins, still got 18 left. Almost 11:30.
He heads over to a special cabinet that is fairly unique. Unlike most of the other cabinets, mainly space shooters, this one was more of a bullet-hell style. Dodge the bullets, that's all there is to it. You get points for surviving longer, and sticking closer to bullets as well. As a risk-and-reward type gameplay. Kell's been practicing this game for a while, so it's time to show off.
He plugs in a quarter and begins the game. It starts out pretty easy, but the difficulty ramps up quick. The bullets begin to fly faster, in bigger bursts, and attacks become diverse. What was once a bullet from the corner became a shotgun from the left side, to a spiral spreading from the middle. Things get chaotic fast, but luckily, Kell had it covered. Having practiced for a while, he was able to go into around 5 or so levels. And as an arcade game where one bust takes you out, other than the 3 live standard, that's pretty good.
Today was no different, reaching level 8 with a plethora of different bullets flying everywhere. At that point it's hard to not get close-to-bullet bonuses (or as veterans call them, graze bonuses). He re-entered his name into the scoreboard (KEL, with about 62,000 points, in 4th place) and looked at the other top players.
No one of interest, just a bunch of other arcade players who learned the ins and outs of the thing. He took a quick breath as the time hit 11:30.

To her eyes, nothing interesting around the stalls. Diverting attention to ears became the alternative. After all, the mall is still closed until later noon. Walking past the line of closed stalls and a few opened ones, transferring to the buildings around the plaza, where she can hear chatter completely. Keeping a slow and steady pace to eavesdrop on enough chatter as she walks by.

The first conversation she passed by is that of two Monsters, probably critics or Art observers basing on assumption alone. Speaking of hype in regards to a new exhibit which she paid little attention to, nothing quite captivating caught her ears. Walked past, the girl did.

Just right outside the popular restaurant EAT. Two monsters who appear to be related despite the opposing elements, gossiping in regards to a "ruckus" in the old ruins. This made her perk up to the two's direction, positioning herself closer. Pretending to look around as if looking for someone. Should would eventually move on out of boredom to move further into the city, although taking note of the gossip earlier.

Around the corner was an orchestra of cheers and yells of one might assume is of a cheerleading squad. She lowered her hat to hide her face upon campus range, almost ironic to those who know her well. She would not even bother batting an eye on the source of the sound.

Lastly was not what she was expecting which is the town authorities discussing an incident of vandalism from somewhere. Where was this drawn? How big of a deal was it? Into the eyes of others, the hatted girl is seen slowly approaching the deputy from behind, almost silent. Her head held up towards the officers with a hint of intrigue in her eyes, not hiding the fact that conversation is interesting even to a passerby.

While walking over to one of the computers, Roe paused for a second upon spotting one of his classmates, Sunny. He felt his ears lift up in happiness at the sight of her. She was probably one of the few monsters that he felt pretty okay around, most of the time. He wondered if maybe he should talk to her? That would be okay, right? Though, his eyes flicked to the few other monsters present in the room. He would prefer if they weren't here at all..just the thought of their eyes being on him for even a moment was enough to make him shiver. Still, he was at least a little curious on why Sunny was here. Trying to push down any remaining nervousness, Roe did a detour and began to approach Sunny.

"H..Hi, Sunny.." He managed to get out the words as he pressed his paws together out of habit. "Um, what are you doing here..?" Belatedly, he hoped that didn't come off as rude.

18 tokens left, and what to do with them...

There were a variety of games within the Arcade, no matter how small it may be to allow for the other facets of Bliptown to fit in. There was PAPA PIZZA, a pizzeria simulator game, WARPATH, a game about a fictional group of humans and monsters crossing the country during wartimes (dubbed an edutainment game, many used for fun), and even UNRELATED, and smaller indie game that was apparently built by some Pomeranians a while back. The game was about... a volcano? Something about cool RPG mechanics, though it was mostly untouched because of how long it took, plus there were no save files for some odd reason.

Of course, the smell of wafting treats also caught many arcade-goers noses as the door behind the counter of the café opened, and Kell's mother emerged, pastry in hand, serving a customer happily.

"I tell you, Gutt, kids these days have no sense of respect," gruffly spoke Sheriff Kashaum.

The smaller skeleton, Deputy Gutt, had his arms on his hips, waiting for those last lines to finally talk back to his partner.

"Are you sure that the kids did that, sir? I mean, I ain't never seen such odd markings, and they looked so similar to the engravings on them stones. The caretaker of the cemetery said he saw no one roaming about past the walls, so we don't have any real clues."

"Well, who else d'ja think done it, then? A respectable townsfolk? That would mean we have a traitor in our midst, and after the Weston Incident back a few years with those sheep and that lantern, the last thing we need is a full-blown investigation to scare the town."

"It wasn't even that bad, now."

"Well, what do you suppose we do, then?"

"Hm... I got it! We wait for the vandals to strike again, then try and draw a pattern from their markings. Then, we can set a good trap for 'em."

"Brilliant, as always, Gutt."

"Same to you, Sheriff."

Turning, Sunny quickly gained a cheerful expression when recognizing Roe.

"Oh, hello Roe! I'm surprised to find you here. Are you doing a project too? ...no? Oh, then nevermind!"

Sunny took some effort and slightly scooted her chair to the left, allowing Roe a better view of the computer monitor. It looked like she had PictoShop open, one of the best document and photo editing software's of the time. Lots of other tabs were open, plus a few pictures and formatting templates.

"I've been looking up recent events to get ready for the newest volume of the school newspaper when school comes back in session, which at this point is looking to be the size of a manuscript."

"I've got a few cool ones here, like my brother's new public garden, the new museum exhibit opening, an interview with the scaffolding president Memini, and probably the newest and best article, one over the recent graffiti incident on the ruins just out of town. I wish I could have gone there myself, but, oooh, that Thogas ruined it like he always does, distracting me until the police tape was already up."

Roe looked at the computer monitor with slight interest. "That's a lot of tabs.." He observed quietly. He listened to her speak, his attention immediately being grabbed at the mention of a graffiti incident with the ruins. "Graffiti? ..huh, my mom hadn't mentioned anything about that.." It must be extremely recent, then. His eyes moved to the side at the mention of Thogas. That was one monster that Roe..really didn't know what to make of. He seemed unpredictable, and Roe usually tried to pretend he wasn't there.

Thinking over Sunny's words about the police tape, he appeared to be considering something. "Couldn't..you still go?" Hearing himself, Roe quickly backtracked, waving his paws around. "U-Um! I don't mean like..doing something bad or anything..! Just..there could still be some clues nearby..or something.."

Roe didn't really know what he was saying. He was mostly thinking about Sunny and the newspaper, he supposed. Still, he quickly felt the sting of embarrassment and the feeling that maybe he said something stupid.
