Listening to the teacher her mind slowly started turning, though a slight frown crossed her face the more she thought it over, though at first, it was less how to pass but why this was the test. The process was fairly quick though as the moment though her intended course of action had a slight damper put on it by the sandstorm. It wasn't the force of the attack that was the main problem, but more so the sheer sound of the whipping winds and dust obscuring her vision. So new plan, time to start swimming upstream.

Hunkering down she braces her legs against the storm, tensing her muscles as she goes to take a step forward though as the wind attempts to throw her airborne regardless she instead forms her hair into barbed hooks to shoot down into the ground anchoring her for each step while pulling forward. It was a slow and steady pace, the sand burn starting to form across her features and gym clothes quickly becoming ragged as the wind whipped backward and her eyes closed now being useless. A Sandstorm....no this wasn't a sand storm per se as they rolled and flowed, this one was spinning like a spiral from the inside out.....which meant it was not about getting to the other side of it but instead the center. Why was that important? well because to swim upstream and go against the flow, sometimes you went back to go forward.

Releasing a portion of her hooks she lets the wind pick her up to start to spin around the area, her hair stretching out and alternating hooks as she builds up speed circling the area but not allowing her to be pushed backward. The form of the storm was first having the benefit of allowing her to feel the direction even if she couldn't see, she just needed to shoot for the center, and once she built the speed up that's what she did.....pulling with all she had she shot herself like an arrow to pierce through and hit the eye of the storm.

Panting at the exertion she finally opened her eyes to the scene, while the others had run and fought their fellow students she had instead gone straight for the gold. Though it wasn't out of any particular confidence or greed, something else, an idea that appeared to have been forming behind her eyes. Her hair seemed to be a complete mess, loose strands flowing out backward all over the place and floating in the air by the residual wind as if in a dire need of a comb, while on her lips a smile had formed as she looked across the pro hero "YO GOLDEN SNITCH!" she gives a casual wave despite her state though she was having to shout to be heard over the Storm "DOES THIS THING HAVE A QUIET SETTING?! NOT SURE HOW THE HECK YOU'RE GOING TO BE ABLE TO SEE OR HEAR PEOPLE IN THE MIDDLE OF ALL THIS..."

Suzuki Toshio
Fleeing from the sandstorm on all fours Toshio used his enhanced agility to leap between the trees until he felt he was safe distance away, sitting on a high branch he grumbled to himself while he dug the sand out of his ears. Experimentally he hopped between a few branches testing how effectively he could stalk without the bells ringing too loudly, thankfully the sandstorm whipped up enough wind to cover most of the sound.

Finding a tree with particularly thick leaves he hid himself among them as best he could while wishing he could have worn the hero outfit he'd designed rather than the bright blue gym uniform. Thinking on the test it was obvious to him that the best way to make the grade would be to retrieve a golden bell but going after him alone would just leave him buried up to waist in the ground probably head first, the obvious answer being collaborating to take multiple bells and then sharing them.

Twitching his ears he heard a couple of people nearby and slipped through the trees to investigate, finding a slime girl menacing another boy he flexed his tail slightly unsure what his venom would do to someone made of slime but thought it was worth a shot and the other guy seemed pretty much defenceless anyway.

Coiling up his muscles Toshio sprang out of the tree landing behind the slime girl, with a slight whistling sound his stinger snapped forward aiming to pierce the slime girl's outer membrane and release an oily liquid inside the mass, spotting the bells he whipped his tail upward looking to snag them on the tip of his stinger.

Shizune, still possessing the mask, was finding herself at a bit of a standstill. If she left her location she ran the risk of her body being found, but if she stayed then she couldn't get any other bells. For a moment, Shizune even thought about carrying her body up onto one of the branches, but decided against the idea. After seeing someone leap through the trees a distance away, she knew that her time to act was thinning. She decided to levitate upwards to the higher branches, so that she could see more throughout the field. If someone was advancing towards her body, she'd try to fight them off. Shizune began to calm down, she actually had a bit of a game plan this time. Well, until she saw someone on a lower branch. She began to panic a bit, but steeled herself. She had to be able to go through these kinds of situations if she ever wanted to be a hero, after all. As she lowered down, ready to attack, she noticed that the person on the branch was Shoko. The same person who she just made friends with. She didn't want to attack her, maybe she could team up with her. Though it may have been a naive action, Shizune had tapped Shoko on the shoulder, waving her hand. Perhaps they could team up?

After processing most of the info from Kojima-sensei, Shoko started to regain consciousness. She felt a tap on her shoulder and was on guard, but she was slightly relieved to know it was Shizune. "Are you thinking what I'm thinking?" Shoko said to Shizune through a link she created. Shoko wanted to team up with Shizune, she could use her quirk as a distraction while Shizune went in for the bells. All they had to do was agree with each other, but Shoko was really pushing her limits, but she had to get through this. She can already hear the static getting louder and her head is starting to feel link it's about to explode. All Shizune had to do was agree, and then they could figure out a plan of action through the mind link so it would be kept classified.

Opus Opus

Shizune had been startled once again by Shoko's quirk. It'd probably take her a while to get used to it. She hoped that Shoko, was in fact, thinking the same thing as her, and replied "Yes, we should team up." She felt glad to be able to have a team mate, especially in a scenario like this. Because of the nature of her quirk, she probably would not have been able to do it alone. At least, that's how she felt about the situation. She turned around to check if anyone was near her body, and luckily the area around her body was vacant, with only the trees around it. She then turned back to Shoko, waiting for what she had to say next.

“I can’t really move all the much, and the pain is starting to spread.” Shoko explained to Shizune. “So you can go grab my bells, and we’ll come up with a course of action.” With that Shoko told Shizune the location of the bells, since one of them was out on the battle field, she would grab the 2 bronze bells that she hid in the different trees. Once Shizune went off, Shoko would begin to process all the information that she had collected, hoping she could make sense of all of it.

Lan had a plan. Sure it was half baked, and relied heavily on luck- but it was still there. Sort of.
The girl reformed just a few feet away from him. Lan jumped backwards to gain some distance; but something snagged his foot. Slime gathered around the apendage, despite its prior liquid state, the substance had solidified to the texture of dried glue around his shoe- holding him in place.
Lan sneered- until his attention was caught by something moving in the background.

" We're allowed to knock eachother out right?" Slime bitch mused out loud.
" How bout you just give me your bells, and I'll leave you concious enough to-"

She stopped mid scentance.

The venomous tail had pierced through the back of her uniform, before yanking upwards- tearing the garmet- but missing the bells as each one shot in a different direction- moved by her slime- the sliver moving to her shoulder, and each bronze down to where her rib cage would have been.

Lan took the oportunity to stomp down on the trail of slime that connected him to the main mass- the newly seperated piece liquified once again, becoming an unmoving puddle in the grass. Lan jumped backwards, putting more distance between himself and the other two.

Fuck. Great. There went his plan.

Slime girl liquified and reformed to the left of- well- Lan had no idea who that guy was either. Maybe it would have done him some good to try talking to his classmates earlier- but oh fucking well.

As she reformed, the puddle of oily venom that had been left inside of her mass remained on the grass.

" Dude! You tore my uniform, what the hell!" She complained, stomping one foot dramatically, before sending a line of slime twords the cat boy- looking to ensnare him in the same way she had Lan.
" Damn, and I thought I got lucky with the weak looking brat too-"
Lan glared at her, but couldnt argue.

Shizune went off, in search of the bells. It was proving rather difficult, due to the miniscule sizes of the bells. Even though Shoko had told her locations, she still had trouble knowing exactly where they were. She wanted to ask Shoko more, but could have clearly seen that she was growing exhausted. Perhaps it was Shoko's quirk. Eventually, after whizzing around for a bit, she found the first bell. "Yes!" she thought to herself. But it was far too soon for her to celebrate, so we went in search for the second bronze bell. As she was looking for it, she started to think about her quirk's range. She was starting to get on the edge of the range. Luckily, however, she was able to find the second bronze bell, closer to the edge of the forest than the second. She began to return to Shoko, feeling quite accomplished.

While she tried to stay focused on going back, something caught her eye. She noticed a ways away from her, that there was a girl with long black hair sitting on a tree, seeming a bit panicked. Shizune felt pretty bad for her, but didn't let that distract her. She had to do this to become a hero, after all. She made it back to Shoko, bells in hand. Then, she suggested to Shoko "I saw someone alone, maybe we can...take their bells." Shizune felt a bit of guilt in her heart just saying it, but knew that it was the best option. Now all she had to do was wait for Shoko's response to see if she was on board with the plan.

The moment he saw a mass moving to exit the sandstorm, Rihi struck.

His upper tendrils shot thick spider silk directly to where the student's face was. As his target started floundering, he quickly used the spider claws to weave the silk down, restraining the arms as the other boy fell to the floor. Good, now to search for the bells-

A shimmering sphere enveloped the student, and Rihi felt a strong force pushing his tendrils out of it. The silk snapped, and the part wrapped around the boy withered to nothing. One strike of a claw confirmed the sphere had solidified into a force field. Damn, this was really a bad match for him and his close combat.

"Don't DO that!!" the boy yelled, frantically wiping his face and arms as if still feeling the silk wrapped around it. He wasn't paying attention to Rihi anymore - was he so confident in his defensive powers? Bone enveloped the tip of one of his upper tendrils, forming a spiked mace that Rihi brought down with all the force he could, but as he suspected, it bounced harmlessly off the sphere's surface. He'd need to either think of a way to make an attack powerful enough to crack it or go around it.

...The ground. Looking down, the sphere was digging slightly into it, but he could see where it ended. A half-sphere then.

He tried digging a claw under the border to flip it, but it weighted too much. Moving fast, he instead kicked his quirk into overdrive and started growing masses of sticky tumors from the tip that was inside the sphere. He couldn't do anything with them, be it move them or feel them, but their main purpose was to grow and grow fast.

The other student yelped, noticing what he was doing. He tried to tear away at the tumors but couldn't keep up with the rapid growth, and they ended up smothering everything inside the sphere. The sphere vanished and reappeared, forcing everything inside out yet again, and Rihi undid his quirk and rushed forwards.

A single bronze bell fell from the air where the tumors had vanished, stuck to them and forced out of the sphere when it got reactivated.

He didn't stay to continue the fight. This was already good enough. So Rihi snatched it up and ran, pushing it against his other bells and regrowing the protection around them.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Kojima didn't need his sight to keep track of students. All he needed to do was feel their weights on the ground, and pay attention to which ones stopped moving. Some had decided to go up trees, making his job slightly more difficult, but at this stage that was still okay. The sandstorm hadn't been made to last - it was merely a way to get the students to scatter without an all-out brawl happening right in front of him where all twenty had been, s a few more seconds and he'd be able to widen his field of vision again.

He sighed, muttering about reckless gremlins as a single one stood in front of him, ready to fight. Gremlin Nine, Hikigane Kami, quirk Hair Trigger. "That's none of your concern," he said, snapping his fingers. The sandstorm subsided, revealing a mostly empty field as almost all students had gone for the safety of the trees. The bells around his wrist jingled with the movement, not concealed at all.

Well then. Let's see what Nine could do.

His first step was to concentrate on the ground below her. It shifted like a conveyor belt, meant to throw her off balance as slabs of rock rose from the ground in all directions and shot towards her. As he was doing this the ground around him changed consistency, starting to crack and disperse into various quicksand traps. Usually he'd immediately suck enemies right into the ground where they'd be buried up to their neck, but if he did that the battle would instantly be over, and that wasn't the lesson he was trying to taught right now. no; all his traps and attacks had at least one way out.

If it could be found was another issue entirely.

Asuka saw the sand storm vanish just as fast as it had appeared. Pulling her goggles off she shook her head to clear some of the sand out before giving a powerful flap of her wings to dislodge the sand that had accumulated in them. She turned to see that there were a few still left to battle it out with each other while the teacher just stood there with the gold bells. Scanning over the training field her eyes landed on Rihi.

She know that to get Rihi to listen she needed to take make it where they were both possibly get disqualified from the event. So she planed to fly high enough to make very painful if they both fell which could disqualify them. Nodding to her plan she took to the air once more before flew at him going about 20 Mph one third of her current top speed if she pushed herself .

When she was within grabbing distance she slowed down in attempted to grab him to lift him off the ground long enough to tell him her plan since it would put a strain on her to lift another person for to long. Her wings were not built for flying with heavy items they were built for speed.

The storm hit like a swarm of wasps whose nest had just been cracked open, each grain of sand leaving a stinging memory of where it hit on his skin. Beside him, Pip could hear the frustrated chirp-tap of Spike—who had decided that going blind was better than getting dust in any of his three eyes (with the way Pip was squinting his own, he had to agree). "Recall?" He chirped back. "Sprats are probably better for this anyway."

Spike's only answer was to shove his snout into Pip's fingers, which was a good enough 'yes' to him. In an instant, the quills were returning to their usual spots along his arms and the bells—warm from having been in the dog's mouth—rested in his hand. Spike, he was sure, had to be relieved to be out of all this.

The sprat, on the other hand? Not so. Which was unsurprising (who likes getting dragged out in the middle of a sandstorm?), but they obediently swallowed the bells anyway at the promise that they might get to bite someone later. Or... maybe sooner rather than later, as their tail curled around his neck to stabilize them as they stuck their nose into the wind and—with a single, squinted eye—stared in the direction of a silhouette travelling through the cloud of tan-tinted air.

If a rat could smile, they would be doing it now—as it was, the sprat only quivered its spines, "Bite?"

"Not yet. Need to see who it is first,"
Pip chittered nervously.

Slowly, as they grew closer, he made out more details. They were holding something. Multiple somethings, actually—a notebook and a pencil judging by the shape of it, the latter of which was scribbling furiously. More importantly, they were pretty scrawny. If it came down to a fight (and there was little doubt in Pip's mind that it would), he should be bale to win. Easily.

He was already lowering into a crouch—simultaneously chirping instructions to leap on his signal to the sprat—when he realized that his shirt was grey. Not blue. "Shit— nevermind, do not bite! No bite!"

"Er, hello?" The so-called 'support gremlin'—who, Pip noticed with a slight prickle of annoyance, didn't seem to have a single grain of sand on him—stared bewilderedly at him, as if he was surprised to see someone else out in all this. "I'm from the support department— you're, uh, you're that one spike kid, right?"

"Gee, how'd you guess?" He grumbled around the hand he raised to cover the lower half of his face (because some people didn't have a weird, anti-dust forcefield... or whatever it is that was up with him). His tone was dry in more ways than one—there was far too much dirt in his mouth for it not to be. "And call me Pip. Not 'spike kid'."

~~~
"Right— um, sorry. Pip." Stupid. Of course he wouldn't want to be called 'spike kid'! He probably hated him right now. Here he was, in the middle of a test, and Gray was bothering him. Gray would hate himself too.
But the rodent on his shoulder drew his eye. Really, the fact that the kid could summon psuedo-living creatures was the main reason he remembered his costume request form (well, that and because his armor was a bitch-and-a-half to get right). He couldn't stop himself from pointing to it and blurting a question. "Is that your quirk?"
"No, I just found it." If Pip could squint any more than he already was against the sand that was making its best effort to worm it's way into his eyes, Gray was sure they would be narrowing into a glare. "Of course it's my—" He paused mid-sentence, stiffening like he'd just been struck by lightning. "Wait, you're here for research, right?"
"Yes?" Somehow it felt like a mistake to admit it.
"Cool, cool, you can research my quirk up close if you want—here, take my rat." Before Gray could agree (or, for that matter, protest), the kid's spikes were already twitching rapidly—producing an arrhythmic chirping noise—and the rat (almost rat—Gray had never seen one with only a single eye and fucking spikes poking out of its back before) was clambering down Pip's arm and nestling onto his shoulder as if it were the most normal thing in the world. Two more were already forming out of the leftover spines on Pip's arms by the time the first had situated itself, but they (thankfully) stayed on his own shoulders.
Gray's mouth hung open for a moment—closing here and there like he was a fish on land—before he finally managed to squeak out a, "Er- thanks? I- I guess?" It would be rude to tell him he wouldn't take it, right?
"No problem, just don't lose him, alright?" Pip shrugged.
He had a sneaking suspicion that the statement was directed more at the rat than himself, but he answered anyway. "A-Alright."
The storm was starting to die down around them and he watched Pip's gaze turn to the teacher and another student who seemed to be attempting to fight him, who stood about a dozen meters away from them. His hand dropped away from his face, revealing a sharp-toothed grin.
"Oh, right. I should probably— you should probably get going now." Gray mumbled, trying to ignore the weight on his shoulder. "What are you planning, anyway?"
Pip's spikes shifted, all standing just the tiniest bit taller. With a confident, matter-of-fact tone that Gray really didn't think was earned considering what few rumors he'd heard about first-day training exercises, he said, "I'm going after the teacher."
Rihi was focused on the area directly in front of and around him. He didn't expect an attack from above.
He yelped as he was lifted into the air, and barely prevented himself from growing bone spikes out of everywhere as a defense. Those could easily take out an eye if he was really unlucky, and he didn't want to get disqualified. Looking up, he wasn't surprised to see Asuka and her white wings. He needed to be quick, before they got high enough.
Regrowing the first two tendrils, he aimed and shot the spider silk directly at Asuka's wings. With how close they were it would be almost impossible to dodge, and with them unable to flap they'd plummet to the ground. In anticipation of this he grew a wide, flat tail, curling it below him and starting to pump it full of fatty tissue and other soft materials to act as a makeshift mattress to break their fall with minimum damage.
With the sandstorm dying down Kami would give a sigh of relief, honestly, she had expected removing that obstacle to be far more difficult but she wasn't about to question fortune too much. She did, however, notice the man before she knew exactly where she would exit from without looking,, that meant he had some weird sense ability given sight, sound and scent were off the table....hmm oh wait, taste too, wasn't that how snakes sensed stuff?. This left either a 6th sense or touch, the latter being one she was more familiar with...and given he seemed to have the whole earth thing going that was a possibility.
Fortunately for Kami she also had a method of doing that, the loose hair strands that were floating in the wind were for slightly more than just given her a disheveled look. She kept her eyes on him as she kept his first step, now she had to carry out the rest of her plan while also adapting to whatever he did. Several words passed through her mind as she readied herself *Figure out the last thing they expect you to do, then do it*.
Her low stance kept her balanced as the slabs rose up around her, the ground would shift and crack making the entire terrain a dangerous one. Tensing her legs she would leap into the air first to avoid being pincered by the stones, the one direction currently free of traps was the air so might as well take advantage of it. As she jumped her hair would attach to one of the rock slabs to pull hard, ripping the loose material from the floor to spin around her before flinging it at the teacher directly while she herself flew off the ground directly behind it letting the material conceal her from view.
"If it wasn't a concern I don't think you would have bothered making it or scattering people, give yourself a little credit it really was a very concerning sandnado?. Sandclone?...Sandicane?" She idly wonders what you would call it, she was having issues recalling the difference between the various wind storms if there even was one.
In any case, time to get the other idea out there, the one the initial storm had put a hamper on "But onto important things....HEY!" she raises her voice to shout around the area so her voice can be heard off in the distance around the field and forest "IF YOUR GOING TO FIGHT EACH OTHER TO GET AHEAD YOUR JUST GOING TO DRAG EACH OTHER DOWN! BUT IF YOU FIGHT THE BIGGER THREAT YOU CAN BRING IT ALL UP!. THOSE WHO WHAT TO MAKE THEIR POINT STAND UP WITH ME, EVEN IF WERE GREMLINS, LETS REMIND HIM THAT GREMLINS ARE A THREAT WORKING TOGETHER....."
If she was lucky the others might see her point, otherwise she might need to prove it with more than words by standing center stage and making herself clear with her actions.
Asuka noticed what he was trying to do and hardened her feathers to prevent any damage “ Take It easy in not here to take your bells. I’m here to discuss a plan on how to get the gold bell because if this keeps going we will all lose. None of us are strong enough to take on the teacher who is currently holding on to the gold bells. Now alone we can fight other students on about equal footing but a pro hero or a villain of equal strength of a pro hero will wipe the floor with us if we are alone but if we have a team our attacks could equal or over power them.” she said quickly as she allowed herself to glide when she could no longer flap her wings to keep them airborne and away from the ground for as long as she could to prevent them from being attacked from below. “This exercise is not to see how strong we are its to see if we can work well with each other to take out a common enemy. Right now that’s who ever is holding the gold bell.” she said as she struggled to hold her grip on the encreasing weight that was being added to her by Rihi.
PureDark006 PureDark006
The gold bell? "But, he's a teacher! We can't beat a teacher," Rihi reasoned. Even if they only played defensive, this was a game of numbers, and for every student that got more bells there was someone else who lost theirs. Thinking rationally, if someone managed to keep their bells, they'd be right in the middle of the score even if they hadn't gotten anyone else's. If they needed a golden bell to pass, then only five students would be able to do so.
...Then again, this was UA. A game where 75% of the class couldn't win would be right up their alley.
Swallowing, he deactivated his quirk to get rid of the heavy tail, clutching his bells against him. Oh fuck, now he was aware that they were in the air. It was a bit like those amusement park rides where they lifted you up and let you fall, but with Asuka's arms instead of a thoroughly tested harness and he wanted down.
There was a yell then, from the teacher's direction. One of the girls was shouting at them to team up against the teacher, and the boy with the spiked tail was also making his way towards Tectonic. "Do, you even have a plan?" he asked, looking up again because seeing his feet dangling above the ground when he had no control over it was a certain kind of terrifying he didn't want to experience anymore than he had to.
Well from what I can see he can keep track of all the students visually. Though he is able to manipulate the ground or sand. We need a way to distract him even if its just for a moment for someone to snatch us some bells. This requires us to have more than just two. He is a powerful pro hero and the two of us could possibly take on a medium level villain but a higer level will need at least 3 or more who are wiling to work together . I saw kami heading for a one on one with the teacher and we need to back her up. So the plan is distract him so some one can snatch a bell or bells” she said as she lowered him to the ground safely now that they were a safe distance away from the all out student brawl but close enough to the teacher to see what he might do. Once she know Rihi was on the ground she landed to rest her wing a moment but kept her feathers hard just encase of an attack. Being alet at every moment right now was important for gathering some info encase they needed to change their plan of action on the fly.
Pip tilted his head at the shouting girl. Not only was it a bit wordy for his tastes—especially considering she seemed to be in the middle of a fight with the most threatening opponent on the field—but it was also, as far as he was concerned, stupid.
In all fairness, it probably wasn't any smarter for him to then say as much.
"I don't know if we're looking at the same teacher, but I don't think he's got twenty-fucking-bells on him, dumbass!" His own shout somewhat covered the sound of his spikes as he chirped an order to the sprats to hide themselves by hanging on the quills of his back rather than on his shoulders (hopefully Tectonic hadn't already spotted them).
Pip's tail swung idly behind him as he walked at an unhurried pace toward the teacher. He didn't know where exactly he'd spring a trap up, but—judging by shifting earth where the hair girl had stood—it he'd make one the minute he thought he was getting too close, and he was already in his line of sight. The point of rushing him would be surprise, and that element had long since been lost (if not because he was close, then because he'd just yelled in his direction).
"How many do you have, anyway?" His eyes, for the most part, had been more on the ground in front of him than the teacher, but he gave him a short glance as he asked the question.
Hi stalked the outline of the forest, footsteps light and all-but bouncing to keep them from being heard. Of course, apparently someone else had a different idea, as the moment the sandstorm cleared, a sharp rallying call echoed across the clearing.
Moron, Hi thought against their compartment, shoulder twitching. They should have gone around quietly recruiting and drove him back into an ambush. They wasted the element of surprise like rainwater. But nevertheless, they moved in haltingly, keeping their form as hidden as they could in the open field. They stayed as well out of peripheral as they could.
Step light. Make no sound. Minimal breathing. Measured movements.
With slow, though steady, hands Hi unwrapped their tie from their face, moving it to their wrists instead, tied to one and held loosely in the other to keep the bell from jingling. They might be able to snatch a bell if they wind him fast enough, and then it's just a matter of hiding.
It's a good thing the other two—there were two, now—were loud. Distracting.
Gremlin Eighteen was joining the fray now, too. Let him. Hikigane at least was smart enough to figure they'd never stand a chance on their own.
One raised hand and the boulder the girl threw stopped before making contact, levitating in front of him before being shot back in the direction it came from. The bells on his wrist glinted in the light, all five perfectly visible. "Count yourself," he told Pippu, tilting his head. The movement made rocky spikes shoot out of the ground, one row heading towards the girl and one towards the boy, as the ground Kojima was standing on rose in a pillar to give him a better view of the area. Cracks started to appear in places not already occupied by quicksand, as a multitude of fist-sized pebbles rose from the pillar's base and shot down towards the approaching students with just enough force to bruise.
Difficult terrain and a bullet hell. They'd have to find a way around both if they wanted to come near him.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Easier said than done," Rihi mumbled as Asuka deposited him in the ground. Distract him how? Rihi's quirk was useless for long-range combat, and Asuka stood out too much with those massive wings. They'd need a better quirk to have a chance, and he didn't know enough about his classmates to make a plan. Maybe if they could find Toshio and borrow some quills they could find a way to stab Tectonic with them, but to get that close...
"I think I could, stand my ground for some time. And make a cover. But, don't think I'm fast enough to approach," he mused. Tectonic's back was against the building and thus the rocky outline separating the field from out of bounds, so they could only attack from the front or the sides. Neither of them were good options. Above? If they maintained his focus on the ground, maybe Asuka could fly down...
Jet circled the field. Tectonic—the instigator—had caught him in his little show of power early in the match, forcing him to fly with his back almost brushing the low-hanging clouds to avoid getting sand in his wings. He had no desire to spend hours of his day combing the little grains of rock out from between his wings only to wake up in an outline of it the next morning, so he did his best to avoid it.
Of course, hero students they were, and as always (since the two years he'd been there) one entered the eye of the offending sand devil, prompting the release of it.
Jet dipped lower, banking hard to keep out of the airspace of the other flier; he didn't need them riding his slip-stream after all, he was supposed to be observing. He rolled as the other flier dove, catching a wind decent enough for him to decide it was worth the miniscule effort it took to position his wings to ride it.
Tectonic, it seemed, had chosen to perch on his own little pedestal that, if he wasn't currently "teaching" the first-years, Jet would have taken much joy in throwing him off of. As nice as Seraph was, he was not opposed to revenge for that little sand trick.
Even so, he nestled that temptation away for later and angled his wings carefully upwards, the measured movements well-suited for his massive wings. It was just the smallest bit satisfying when he could fly exactly where he wanted instead of letting the air drag him this way and that.
Of course, it was also satisfying that he could expend little energy just gliding. Best of both worlds, he supposed.
He hummed to himself. The first-years were smart enough to go to the forest... well, most of them. He didn't know what the five trying to take Tectonic down were doing. They seemed a tad scattered.
Though, as he passed the one furthest away—Suoh Hi—he noted that they had nothing short of murder in their eyes.
Asuka could see where he was going with this train of thought and it made perfect since too. “ We need a way to get him out in to the open and that will be near impossible with his back against the wall, but distracting him wont. A front assault wont do much good he will see it coming and be able to defend against it easily. A high speed air to ground assault might be a way to go.” She said as she began to think a bit harder for a good plan. If she flew Rihi to a high height before doing a rapid descent before release and him using his quirk to protect himself before he is release something like a human bolder on one side and her come back around on his other side could work.
I think I have a plan but its not 100% full proof… with your weight I can fly no higher and about 400- 450 feet off the ground unless you can make yourself lighter then I can go higher. Though with your quirk you make your self in to a human bolder as I do a speed dive before release you on one side of him to act as a distraction with me coming around on the other to possibly forcing his attention on me think you are down for the count. You then could use the tendril that you did when we first met to encase at least 2 bells and use one if my sharp feathers to cut the strings before I grab you for a retreat. Kind of like gorilla war fair mixed with a snatch and grab but this tactic can only be used once. so we will have to make this count or else he will catch on unless we can get another person to join in.” she said knowing that the two of them alone will be hard as it is.
"I, can't become lighter," Rihi explained. His quirk grew things, and only those things could vanish, so while he could become heavier he had no way to lower his original weight, mass, or volume. He paled a bit as Asuka explained her plan; even if he could soften his fall with something resembling an airbag or a mattress, 400 feet was simply too high. If he fell that distance, and Asuka failed to catch him properly, he could very well snap his neck and die instantly. Or break every bone in his body and die slowly. Either case, he wasn't keen on risking his life for a single good grade. "That's too dangerous. Falls from more than 30 feet are almost always fatal, and I don't think I'll be able to aim properly at that speed anyway," he said, shaking his head. He just didn't have enough practice.
But Asuka might.
"Do you, think you could get them if you're alone?" he asked instead. He didn't know how much practice she had with her flying, but some birds were able to do extremely fast dives with enough accuracy to hit other birds mid-flight; if she could do that, then their best option might be to somehow hide her presence until she found an opening to dive and snatch the bells, flying away before Tectonic could attack her.
Asuka look at him and understanding knowing that from the height can kill anybody but being a hero you had to put your fears aside for the time being injury are part of the job
. “I understand where you’re coming from but that's about the height I need to do a simi proper dive . If I did a strait 40° dive I risk harming both of us due to loss of control. I would need to dive at about 100 to 130° to have a safe speed and control…" she paused to think on it more before speaking
"Now I can get close to him but it will be tricky but I think it can work if we can get him to face you or me then the other can sneak up and steal the gold bells ” she said as she folded her harden wing in front of her and began to pluck a few of the harden feather feathers that would work as dull knives if thrown and some small thin ones to work as senbons to throw at him as a distraction if he caught her getting to close.
"Lets try this and prey to kami we get lucky" she said looking back at him.
Shizune went off, in search of the bells. It was proving rather difficult, due to the miniscule sizes of the bells. Even though Shoko had told her locations, she still had trouble knowing exactly where they were. She wanted to ask Shoko more, but could have clearly seen that she was growing exhausted. Perhaps it was Shoko's quirk. Eventually, after whizzing around for a bit, she found the first bell. "Yes!" she thought to herself. But it was far too soon for her to celebrate, so we went in search for the second bronze bell. As she was looking for it, she started to think about her quirk's range. She was starting to get on the edge of the range. Luckily, however, she was able to find the second bronze bell, closer to the edge of the forest than the second. She began to return to Shoko, feeling quite accomplished.
While she tried to stay focused on going back, something caught her eye. She noticed a ways away from her, that there was a girl with long black hair sitting on a tree, seeming a bit panicked. Shizune felt pretty bad for her, but didn't let that distract her. She had to do this to become a hero, after all. She made it back to Shoko, bells in hand. Then, she suggested to Shoko "I saw someone alone, maybe we can...take their bells." Shizune felt a bit of guilt in her heart just saying it, but knew that it was the best option. Now all she had to do was wait for Shoko's response to see if she was on board with the plan.
Shoko thought about it and thought they should try it. "Sure, let's do it. Can you give me their seat number?" Shoko asked, with the information she got earlier, their seat number would be crucial. While waiting for Shizune's answer, she started to see if she could move, at least a bit. Depending on their target's location, Shoko would have to move to keep Shizune in her range. She was a able to move, but it caused her a lot of pain, and she kept hearing the static. She pushed the feelings away, once she stood, she leaned on the tree's trunk and started to process info. She was making plans for the different quirks of her classmates and how they would get the bells. Since she didn't know their exact quirk, the plan she came up may not work, and if it didn't she would need to create a new plan on the spot. She made a mental note to train her brain to create more brain space. "Also I can't tell you the position of the bells, but I can give you a plan on how to retrain them or immobilise them."
Suzuki Toshio
Toshio was disappointed but not terribly surprised that his venom had no effect on someone that appeared to lack a central nervous system for it to work on, while he was mostly keeping his cool he blushed slightly at the slime's complaint about the damage to her uniform. "O-oh sorry about that." Despite looking flustered he easily dodged the gooey tendril that came after him. Looking at the other boy Toshio called out to him. "If you're just gonna let her put you down like that you should probably get out of here." He considered simply retreating or even snatching the bells from the other boy but considering the position he had found the two of them in neither option seemed very heroic.
Hearing a voice loudly extol the virtues of teamwork his eyes flicked between the other two students. "She's right you know, I don't think any of us need to put this much effort into fighting over scraps when there's five golden snitches out there, if we group up and grab a few we can just share them out and be miles ahead of everyone else."
