Brief Biography
Gordon Jiao grew up in Central West Florida in Tampa Bay and Clearwater. His mother and father left to the United States six months before his birth from Taiwan, and took citizenship for him thereafter. His mother gave birth to him at St. Joseph’s Hospital for Women, howling through a sixteen hour delivery.

After Gordon’s birth, his mother developed PPD and in two years took her own life by hurling herself off the Skyway bridge. His father, unable to endure with the loss of his wife, gathered their belongings and ran to Jacksonville.

At five years old, his father locked Gordon in a closet for fourteen hours after leaving the dinner table without requesting permission. After that, things declined in Gordon’s developmental years. The verbal, mental, and physical abuse he received at the hands of his father became astronomical.

Gordon never returned home with a grade below a ninety-eight percent, securing himself a complete scholarship to any instate university of his decision. When the young man turned eighteen, he informed his father he loathed him. He meant it with every ounce of his being, and in retaliation, his father tried to strike Gordon.

The soon to be college student shoved his father away, sending him tumbling over a solid oak coffee table and fracturing his neck. The police ruled it as an accidental death, and it left Gordon with his childhood home and two-point-five million dollars from a combined savings and a life insurance policy. He paid off the little mortgage left on the house, reached out to a close friend, and offered to rent it to them for half of the market value.

Gordon chose Jackson University because it was close and their psychology department renowned. The young man felt resolved to launch a career in clinical child psychology and pledged that he would let no one experience the horrors he experienced.

It didn’t take long for him to build a good standing at the school, and despite his tattoos (all poisonous yet beautiful native plants to Florida), he gained the trust and adoration of faculty and students alike. Now, with his bachelor’s degree almost guaranteed, and an unstoppable forward momentum toward his master’s already prepared, it was only a matter of time before he obtained his goals—provided nothing got in the way.

Alex found this information about her parents in a secret letter that was hidden in her adoptive parents’ home. Riley’s adoptive family lineage came from generational wealth. Her adoptive mother Olivia was a world-renowned Neurosurgeon, and her father Lucas is the CEO of Riley and Smith law firm.

The Riley’s are always under the public eyesight, Alex needed to be excellence itself. Alex was under constant pressure to be perfect. She was groom to be the perfect heir. Until her adoptive parents had luck with in-vitro fertilization. Heavy is the head that wears the crown. Her younger brother Ethan was born, and her impeccable parents focus their attention on Ethan.

Which in turn gives her more room to pursue her heart's desires in psychology. Alex wanted to understand why people do what they do. Alex needed to understand why she wasn’t accepted by her biological family. Her inquisitive nature led her into psychology.

Ethan in his parents' eyes was the heir to their legacy. Ethan is a possession that must be groom as such. Ethan's only correlation of love and family was from his sister Alex. Their relationship has its sibling rivalry of course. However, for the most part, they are dependent on each other for survival until Ethan turned fifteen.

However, they became distant once Alex moved away and enrolled in college. He was distraught that the only person he saw as his family would abandon him. At the time he didn’t understand her reason. With only seeing her on the holidays and in between semesters they weren’t as close as they used to be.

High school for Ethan was a breeze to say anything less would be a lie. He was an outstanding athlete and because of the unrelenting tutors that his parents provided, he was unstoppable. There wasn’t anyone or thing he couldn’t accomplish. Until he broke his leg that prohibited him from pressuring his dreams of being a professional quarterback.

Ethan hit rock bottom junior year and with the urging of friends, he decided to try new things. An outlet to channel his emotions and feelings that football no longer was in his life. He found his passion to be art. And he felt at home and at peace when he would draw. He showed great promise until his mother and father told him they wouldn’t support his lifestyle as an artist. Unbeknownst to him Alex overheard the argument and agreed to help him with pursuing his dreams of becoming an artist. However, the condition was that he had to attend the same college she attended. And he had to pick a major that his parents would approve of to throw of their suspicion.

Compared to a lot of the guys in the frat Oliver is more on the slim/ lanky side, although he still wouldn't pass up the opportunity to beat someone's ass if the occasion called. His skin is tanned, and a large birthmark that resembles an oddly shaped freckle rests near the side of his hairline. He keeps his hair short, letting it do whatever it wants on top which somehow always manages to suit him. His hazel eyes are round and doe-like, sometimes described as feminine ("How are eyes feminine? What does that even mean?!"). Oliver has no body mods.

Those who know Oliver often describe him as "loud" and "all over the place". He's fun to be around and great at parties, but it's difficult to spend a lot of time with him, especially if one is more on the quiet side or has a low social battery. One thing he's extremely self conscious about are his eyes, even more so when others say that they're "feminine" (The guy might have a bit of internalized misogyny). Although he's hard to handle at some points, he's a great friend- especially to his brothers- and doesn't mind doing ridiculous things or embarrassing himself to get his friends out of sticky situations.

Oliver was born in Evanston, Wyoming to his mother Cheryl and now absentee father Sean. He has a 5 y/o brother, Benny, whom he loves dearly. Growing up it was just him and his mom for a while. Because she was in the military the two moved around quite often, but Oliver enjoyed being on the road more so than not. He contacted his father once every two months to check up, but their conversations never lasted long. He loved his mother, but often she was a lot to handle on any given day, so he knew to be weary in case she was in a bad mood. She wasn't one to play with him much, typically letting him go off on his own, so he got bored a LOT. Getting into sports in the various schools he attended helped release some of that energy, and he even tried being in choir once.

It wasn't until he went off to college that he finally felt at ease. He was used to being alone and basked in his freedom, although a part of him still wanted to be close with others. At first he found it difficult to make friends on campus, but after joining his frat he opened up more. Now he's able to let lose all of that wild energy with others, as a way to live out what could have been his childhood had it not been for his isolation.

Sean Dobson: Oliver's absentee father. Not much is known about him since his mother hardly talks about him and on the few occasions Oliver and Sean speak, not much is really exchanged between them save for the typical "How have you and your mother been?" and "Are you doing well in school?" questions.
Cheryl Dobson: Oliver's mother, a military brat with some mood disorders. Although Oliver grew up in a household with only the two of them for company for most of his life, he never really had any good connections with her. She was distant, almost always gone from the house, or just in an unpredictable mood, making it difficult to really bond with her. He still loves her dearly and doesn't blame her for his childhood in the least, but has always wished he could become closer with her.
First Benjamin (Benny) Dobson: Oliver's younger step brother. Oliver is closer to Benny than anyone in his immediate family, and is often overprotective of him. He worries constantly about how the kid will fare with their mother by himself, often the reason for calling home so much. Unlike Oliver's father, their mother was the one to take Benny away from his dad.

Brie is a slim, unassuming girl. Her height is around 5'5", but she enjoys wearing heals to make herself look taller. Her blond hair is usually curled and braided- it's clear she takes care in her appearances. She is always seen with makeup, often switching up looks for the fun of it. Her bright blue eyes are a striking feature against her pale skin. She often wishes to be tan, but thinks it adds to her French heritage as well so she doesn't bother going to a tanning bed. Brie makes sure no strand of hair or freckle is left unaccounted for, preferring to keep everything "perfect". Although she's pretty, she doesn't have any defining feature that really makes her stand out due to her self consciousness about showing off any "blemish" in her appearance.

One might assume with a glance that Brie is all about sororities and partying, when in fact she's quite the opposite. She doesn't enjoy being in the spotlight and detests big gatherings. Most see her as the sweet and pure girl she was during her Freshman year, and she would like to keep it that way thank you very much. Brie shuts down any advances made on her. She isn't new to getting hit on, but she doesn't like the idea of being in a relationship. Instead she values friendship and privacy (Ironically, considering she's a big gossiper) more than anything. Books are always a go- to for her, and she enjoys sitting outside (Especially if it's raining) when she can. She's very much a girly girl and enjoys shopping every weekend. Because her parents make a large sum of money each year, she has always been babied and is quite used to getting the things she wants when she asks. Brie gravitates towards talkative people, preferring to let others carry the conversation instead of leading it.

Brie grew up in Rochester, New York with her mother Taylor Porcher and father Ames Porcher. She has an older sister Albany and older brother Micah. Her father moved to the U.S. from France to meet her mother (Who still lived in Rochester at the time) for the first time. After dating for years the two got married and immediately had their first born, Albany. A few years after that came Micah, then little Brie. The family had never really had tough times to go through, always making more than enough money to support everyone and then some. In that sense Albany is still extremely sheltered, never having to face any real hardships. She learned piano at age eight and even tried getting into some sports, although she quickly figured out that wasn't the thing for her. Because her siblings were much older by the time she was born she never really got to hang out with others her age unless it was at school. She was never lonely though and always made a ton of friends. Despite being quite popular she always had an interest in books and a low social battery, so she often spent time by herself for fun. She's been that way since middle school to present day, but has since had an air of self entitlement.

Ames Porcher: Brie's father. The two are very close- they both worry about their appearance very much and take pride in the fact that both of their wardrobes are up to date on the latest fashion trends. As he always says- "If people aren't staring at you you're doing it wrong!". Brie was never one to like being stared at, but she understood the assignment.

Taylor Porcher: Brie's mother. Although the two aren't as close as Brie and her father, they still enjoy doing things together. Don't get them started on gossip either! Sure, Brie's a quiet girl but she just can't seem to keep all of the juiciest stories to herself.

Albany Porcher: Brie's sister. The two hardly talk, but no one would know that when they see the two together. It's like best friends who never bother to talk to each other except for once every few months. When they're apart they're strangers, but together they're inseparable!

Micah Porcher: Brie's brother. The two have almost nothing in common, but she tends to like being around her brother simply because he's talkative. He has all of the best stories to share, and although he picks on Brie a lot she knows he'll have her back no matter the situation.
