Heidi retrieved her hat and popped it back on, then looked back over at Fenn. He didn't seem any worse for wear after jumping off a train. Huh...
Well, such was the way with him.
She nodded and brushed frost off her grey-clad shoulders. "Yeah, doing alright," she replied. "I've taken worse tumbles than that. You should have been there that time the Grafton Monster came after me. Oh, boy, those were some photos, now; I'll have to show you sometime." She turned then to the others to take inventory. Everyone seemed alright. She hoisted her bag back over her shoulder and nodded. "Alright," she began. "Blaise and Beau, right? You two are the ones who know the way from here. Lead on!"

Near had created a skyline of sorts within several minutes, all out of dice. A trained eye who knew the city well would recognize New York City, but Near was also fairly certain no one else here was familiar with the downtown skyline. Arthur hadn't yet spoken and their question about who he was employed by hadn't yet been answered, and instead the silence was filled with the faint clicking of Marko with his cube. Near's eyes drifted back to that, and he noticed immediately that the whole thing was scrambled again. All you had to do by then was turn the right side down, rotate the front clockwise, and turn the top right. But then, he was forgetting that spacial awareness and intuition like that wasn't something that came naturally to everyone. He didn't bother to turn his head, but spoke to Marko anyway. "Marko, start by putting the white center piece on top of the cube, then arrange a white cross around it. The colored edges of the white pieces should match the color of the center piece they're touching," he suggested. "That's step one."

'I'm not too sure what just happened.' Boss's gravelly voice reverberated in her head, as she sighed to herself. She muted her external speakers, her visor oriented in the group's direction as she addressed her companion. "If we failed in defending the train, we would've been gone either way had we made it back to the camp. Crystal Tiger can afford to lose a few supplies; it's unlikely they would've held up our ends of the contract."

'Mrh- I trust your judgement Sam. One way or another I'm sure we'll get the reactor repaired eventually.'

Boss remained silent, which Samus took as a cue to reenable her external speakers as she approached the group. The onyx armored giant still carried the two hefty boxes underneath her arms, showing no signs of strain or struggle. She spoke up, her voice crisp, authoritative, and radio-like behind the helmet. "Sierra-Double-Seven. pleasure to make your acquaintances." She moved up to walk alongside and slightly behind Heidi; pacing her steps as to not accidentally crush the woman's heels.

Beau nodded to Heidi, putting her fingers up to her mouth and whistling for her horse, the mustang whinnied as she approached the group, stopping short and snorting when she saw Samus and the others. "One of us should get the wagon, if it's even still where we left it." She said, soothing her horse with a pat before climbing into the saddle. "Rain can carry one other person, if any of you would rather ride."

"Should I say Hi? Nah...Fuck it."

Eight continued to march through the knee-high snow leaving only a trail of footsteps behind himself, Which would soon once more be filled in again with more snow. He was getting closer and the snow began to fog up his red visor, so he wiped it with his leather glove. "Hey! Hey you people!" He called out to them, stopping a good ten meters away. Eight prepped himself for the worst.

Sonic the Hedgehog-

"Running is my thing, so I will decline in that offer. Besides, I never rode a horse, so I wouldn't know the first thing about it." Sonic said, his vision starting to return to normal as the pain in his head started going away.

His blue ears perked as he heard someone who wasn't part of the group call to them. He looked around, before his emerald green eyes landed on what appeared to be some sort of soldier with a gas mask. The soldier kind of reminded him a G.U.N. soldier, but for some reason, Sonic highly doubted that was the case.

"And who are you?" Sonic asked, looking in the direction of the figure about ten meters from them.

Danny Fenton/Phantom-

"I would go get the wagon, but I don't know how to drive a horse-pulled wagon. Though, I can't imagine that it's that difficult to do." The ghost-human hybrid replied to Beau's statement about someone needing to get the wagon.

His ghost sense was triggered again and Danny let out a sigh. Something wasn't right with another person, or hedgehog for that matter, otherwise his ghost sense wouldn't be triggered. Still, he tried to push the thought of his ghost sense being active to the back of his mind, but with little luck.

Arthur Morgan-

The outlaw didn't have a good, convincing answer to the boy's question about who employed him, so upon noticing the strange cube thing that the both of them were fiddling with, he decided to change the subject.

"What the hell are those things?" The man spoke, pointing to the cubes that they were messing with.

Blaise slowly got to his feet, finally catching his breath. "Someone can ride with me until we get to the wagon. Which better still be there." He commented before sharply whistling for his own mustang. The buckskin mustang soon trotted over with a whinny of his own, stopping just a little before Blaise. Blaise grabbed his crate and hopped into the saddle, positioning the box in front of him to leave more room for a passenger. "Just a warning for whoever decides to ride with me, Wyld Fyre here ain't the smoothest ride. He's still got some wild in 'im. But he ain't bad." He gave his horse a pat on the neck before looking towards the sound of someone yelling for their attention. He reached for his rifle, cautious.
"Who the hell are you and what do you want?"

Fennorian nodded at Heidi, glad that she was alright.
"I can keep up with a horse on my own, thankfully. One of you can go ahead and ride with them, if you'd prefer."
He noticed Danny's seeming discomfort. Could he have noticed he's a vampire? Hopefully not. He could sense his undead condition, yet clearly living. It was fascinating. But he still couldn't guarantee that he would greet a vampire with warmth or anything pleasant.

"My armor weighs a metric ton. I will kill your mount if I ride with you. I'll be able to catch up." she quipped to the group. Samus heard yelling, and reached for her M6G as she saw the figure over the horizon- but didn't level her weapon at him. Another lost soul, perhaps- the man was quick on the draw with his rifle; flagging the soldier as she watched the exchange. These people were undiciplined, undertrained- but they had tenacity and spirit, she could tell. The Spartan remained silent, continuing to walk in the direction of the group's travel.

Horses! They had horses. Heidi gave a broad smile behind her gas mask — though one couldn’t see the slightest trace of it. She turned first to Fennorian when he suggested that he could walk, and paused to consider the options. “I’d be fine riding double,” she decided. “Then we can bring the cart back—“
She whipped around when someone came calling for them, at first reaching after one of her guns and stepping forward. But then, why would he be yelling at them and approaching if he meant harm? He was badly outnumbered. She didn’t really suspect he’d have a chance to cause problems. “You got a name?” She called to the stranger.

Near noticed when Arthur Morgan redirected away from his little interrogation. Though the young detective’s eyes never left his towers of dice, and his expression never shifted, he noticed, and took careful note. Maybe he didn’t want to tell them — but if that were the case, why would he mention being a bounty hunter at all? It would have been wiser not to tell them he was seeking a bounty if he wanted to keep his employer a secret — or he could simply state that he wasn’t at liberty to say, if that were the case. So Mr. Morgan must not be telling us the truth about what he wants with this gang. That didn’t tell Near much, though. It was still possible Arthur Morgan was dangerous. But maybe not immediately so.
His expression remained unmoved as he contemplated this, and after a moment, he realized that Arthur had asked a question — which probably meant he expected an answer. The Rubik’s Cube hadn’t been invented til 1974, he recalled. Likely a century after Arthur exists, give or take a couple decades, so not knowing what it was was entirely forgivable. But Near’s eyes stayed trained on his dice towers as something occurred to him. “I would think you’d be plenty familiar with dice,” he told Arthur. His tone and expression remained entirely unchanged, but it was a joke — hard though it was to tell. “Marko has my Rubik’s cube. It’s a puzzle.”

"Hmm...Wait...Is that a Pip-Boy?"

Eight slung his .50 cal behind his back and wiped his visor again. "Name's Eight, My dear blue friend. I see you guys robbed that train or whatever. But, Gotta survive one way or another. Do you guys and gals have room for another friend? I got my own supplies, Food, Ammo, and well, Theres water everywhere..." He paused mid-sentence, seeing one of the younger women draw her weapon. He saw a small glint of light on one of her arms and squinted through his visor. It looked like she was wearing a Pip-Boy...But how did she get it? Technology like that many were currently scouring the wastes for, Especially for a computer with over two-hundred ram.
"...And I know how to handle myself too. Ive dealt with...bigger problems." He said before recalling a fight between him and a behemoth. A shudder was sent down his spine.

Sonic the Hedgehog-

"I'm Sonic. Sonic the Hedgehog." The blue hedgehog said with a nod, introducing himself to Eight.

With a name like Eight, Sonic could not help but wonder if Eight was from Mobius, or was even remotely familiar with it. Mobius had it's share of humans, yes, but it was mostly full of anthropomorphic animals like Sonic himself.

Mobian parents were known for often naming their children names that some non-mobians wouldn't consider names at all. Sonic was also living proof of that. Still, there was doubt that there were any other Mobians that made it to this strange world.

Daniel Fenton/Phantom-

"Eight. Huh. Interesting. I guess that your parents apparently had the same taste in names as Sonic's." Danny chuckled, turning his attention to the newcomer that Sonic was speaking to.

Another blue wisp escaped Danny's mouth, followed by another shiver.

"Someone is definitely undead here." Danny mumbled under his breath, his gaze subconsciously turning to look at Fenn.

Arthur Morgan-

"Rubix cube? Huh. Well, I have heard of puzzles before, but not a cube-like one." Arthur replied, watching Marko try to figure out the puzzle with slight interest.

Arthur chose to ignore what seemed to be a smart-ass comment from the boy. He wasn't sure if Near was trying to insult him, or just making a joke. Still, if he even remotely wanted to find the rest of the Van Der Linde gang, he had to gain the trust of others, which Arthur knew was much easier said than done for him.

"I have to keep my guns holstered. It is probably better to lie low for now, at least until I find Dutch or Hosea." Arthur thought, though he knew that finding either one of them alive was highly unlikely.

"Dont. Be. Suspicious."

"Nice to meet you Sonic! Its good to see you guys haven't shot at me yet. Where I come from, You either shoot or be killed, However, I choose the more...diplomatic options." The man smiled behind his mask right before the young man gave a remark. "Kid, Listen. I never had parents, but I was always grateful that someone took me in. If I was never found, I would've become food for a deathclaw...or gecko. However, There are much more weirder names from where I come from. If I can recall correctly, I think that theres a faction named the Brotherhood of Steel. Their western counterparts were mostly destroyed after the bigger parts of the NCR-Brotherhood war, and they act like kings and queens, save for fancy power armor. The eastern chapters thrived, Despite after their greatest weapon of war was destroyed by the Enclave. But enough talk about where Im from and all that. Where you guys heading?" He straightened up the strap of his rifle, before letting out a sigh of relief.

"That's probably because for you, it doesn't exist yet," Near told Arthur plainly. "I believe you and I come from different points in time. I can show you how to solve it sometime if the others decide you can stay." He carefully finished one of the dice towers and started on the next. "If you've any idea on where this gang is headed... assuming they're still around... That might be a good start. We're headed to the nearest settlement, and you might be able to find information there. Or I could help. It's been a long time since I've needed to find anyone." He faltered slightly on that as the image of a blond-haired boy flashed through his mind, but he said nothing on the matter.
He was gone.
He had been gone before any of this.
"...We'll just need to discuss whether or not the others allow you to stay when they return."

Heidi relaxed some as this man before her -- Eight -- did too. He sounded like he was from her corner of the world. He looked it, too, which served to be both a comfort and something that put her on edge. She perked up visibly at mention of the Brotherhood of Steel, and put her hands on her hips. "The Brotherhood-- you mean those jerks with their air ships parading around Appalachia like they own the damn place?" That just about confirmed it, then. "We're headed toward civilization and I'm trying to get in contact with a friend of mine, Punk. Trying to repair a transmitter to hook up to my pipboy so I can get a message out to him, if he's around. If you aren't gonna turn on us, I imagine we could use the extra firepower. If you do..." She paused and looked over her shoulder at the others. "...We've got more."
