I imagine drinking water would either be found underground, needing the use of wells and pumps, or found in rainwater. Or like you said, purified.
 
I can think of some source of drinkable water.

  1. Water from the river that flows from uncorrupted land. Though the water becoming more murky and corrupted the deeper into Wraevadar is.
  2. From some sort of coconut-like fruit or even walking cactus monster.
  3. An 'oasis' created by a monster that able to dig a hole, fill it with water and purify it, then hide inside the water to catch whoever try to drink from it. Just like those pit spider.

Also, my favorite kind of monster is something like this Anogratch

A monster that is weak individually but when hurt or killed will trigger its entire colony to gang up on the attacker in a suicidal crusade. It's either the attacker die or the colony wiped out.
 
What is your opinion of a character that used to be a dragon shifter but got cursed so he can't take on his dragon form anymore, he would be 'stuck' in human form and of course wouldn't be half as powerful as he used to be? (Think a power level similar to a sorcerer)

That's my first idea but I can (and probably will) come up with more before I make a final decision.

hmmm a dragon shifter? wuts that? :3 and tbh i dont really care how powerful peeps are (so long as it doesnt break the world lol), so its kinda interesting to have a (supposedly) REAL powerful character be cursed to be weak. i could be down for thats!

Basically it's dragons that can take on human form but I might tinker around with it a little to make it more... Idk suitable for the character I had in mind. Yeah I think it would be fun to have him be so limited in power compared to how he was before the curse. =)

I think playing a dragon who is cursed to be human can be fun. Complaining all the time, frequently getting cocky and then learn to humble themself and become wiser before finally able to transform back into dragon XD
 
Hypothetically, would anyone's character be chill with Nightmare hitchhiking on them if their current body were to be completely unusable? LOL

this is actually similar to what i had in mind for lizard pirate lady, sorta, come to think of it lol
