So everyone has surely lost interest by now but I'm going to bump anyway. I was brainstorming a sort of open-world supers campaign recently; instead of some cringe anime fanfic-tier metaplot with author-insert ultravillains, I was thinking the hero team would be a sort of free-roaming squad that works for whatever superhero alliance, taking calls from dispatch as they come in - essentially police, but police that fight aliens and robots and shit. They'd be free to take or ignore any call, and these choices would have visible effects on the world around them. And of course they'd be free to do their own things while not "on duty". Let me know whether you think this has potential or it's garbage.
