Realistic or Modern Falling Stars- A modern Metahuman Story with an alternate history.

They came 1.7 million years ago, during the time of Early man, cro-magnon and Neanderthal’s were locked in a long lasting war when they arrived. They called themselves gods and came to our world with great technologies in order to mine the world of its precious metals. Yet seeing the early ancestors of man shed each other’s blood they decided a change needed to be made. At first they tried to educate the early ancestors of man, but it only served to make their wars more violent and destructive, and so a divide grew between the gods. A portion of whose wanted to imbue early man with their own otherworldly genome, and a portion of whome wanted to simply use early man for labor and then destroy them and occupy the planet. They split themselves into two separate factions, those who wished to imbue man with higher intelligence called themselves the Adhama and they began to round up early man and mix the genetics of the Cro-magnon with the Neanderthal and then add in a bit of their own DNA and hid them deep within the mantle of the earth in a specially designed crystal chamber. The others calling themselves the Zetin would bring engines of war from the gods homeworld to launch mighty sieges on the earth. The Adhama responded by using the meager weapons they had with them to repel the invasion while they prepared their retaliatory weapons. A divine war unfolded in the heavens and on the earth before the eyes of ancient man one lasting nearly 200,000 years.

However the Adhama had given their new creations who were modern man instructions within their secret chamber, this instructions were the blueprints to great weapons called “world arrows” and the requirements to construct them. These “World arrows” as they were called were essentially nuclear bombs with multi terra ton yields. As the Adhama gods successfully sabotaged or stole the Zetin gods war engines and mighty weapons of war the tables turned in the favor of the Adhama. However as they repelled the Zetin and sent them fleeing the world they knew the time was short for them to prepare, and they needed a lot of energy to fuel the world arrows. So with the Zetin repelled they released the modern man into the world, though many feared the return of the Zetin and stayed within their great chamber. The Adhama proceeded to teach man to build a great empire which spanned the globe. It lasted for nearly three hundred thousand years and they would go on to built the moon itself, a massive defense platform which would be able to sway down the weapons of the Zetins upon their return. For a time man was content living in their golden age. Alas peace and prosperity are fleeting concepts however and eventually the Zetin would return this time bringing with them their entire planet which they had retrofitted into a massive ship. As the world neared it loosed a hail of its weapons including a large number of “World arrows” which the Adhama responded with a salvo of their own. The Zetin homeworld didn’t think earth capable of generating the energy needed to fuel such weapons so they didn’t bother to build defenses, while the Adhama knew full well that the Zetin would have them and the moon was built for the purpose of shooting them down. However as the multiple arrows of The Adhama struck the Zetin world and shattered it, one of their world arrows made it past the defense offered by the moon after several direct hits shut the defense systems down and the great golden age civilization of man, along with the Adhama who fought beside them came crashing down with the Zetin planet.

The dust of the destroyed Zetin planet would coat the moon masking it as a lifeless gray rock, many of the pieces of the destroyed planet would become the asteroid belt, many would collide with the moon, and just as many would hit the earth forever changing the landscape and tearing the once lush super continent into seven broken pieces. All life on the surface would be wiped out and only those who hid within the great mantle chamber would remain. Eventually time would pass and they would begin to face issues with diminishing resources and raising population and disention. This eventually devolved into a conflict between the advanced peoples that would in turn result in a violent war but unlike their creators the new humans did not see a need for the war to end with the destruction of one another. Instead the victors calling themselves the Agarthians expelled the loosing side, who called themselves the lemurians from their nation of edenia, scanning the DNA of those who were ejected and storing them in a database linked to a mechanical series of guardians who were then placed at the entry tunnels to the Edenian chamber to prevent the exiles and their descendants from ever returning. And thus mankind once again found itself on the surface.

From there The Lemurian people who were exiled from edenia by the Agarthans would go on to spread and conquer the world. From them arose three great kingdoms, Atlantis, Lemuria, and Mu. Meanwhile the Agarthans would expand to claim the moon, Mars, and much of Jupiter’s system. Eventually they would make their way into the ancient machinery inside of the moon where they would find the last Remaining Adhama Yashar, who would join with them and expand the understanding the Agarthans had of their creators technologies. Though he demanded the Agarthans leave the moon to him, and that they do not press him to know what he works on within the silver celestial body. Out of respect for the Deity the Agarthan leaders agreed to his conditions and the moon was declared as Yasha’s. Eventually the three empires of the Exiled humans would come to wage war with each other, and by Atlantis’s own hand the three empires would be destroyed as the Atlantians recreated one of the World Arrows of old and flooded the world with the tsunami’s created by its detonation resulting in the flood myths that every culture today has in their history.

Yashar however would take pity on the People of the surface, after all they had been separate from the Agarthan’s long enough that they had effectively become their own species. Yashar instructed several of the agarthan’s to seek out the most peaceful and kind humans in order to have them preserve the human species within several ships the agarthans possessed. After the cataclysm settled the agarthans returned the remnants of humanity to the surface where they would grow into a number of different cultures around the world including the Egyptians, The Inca, the Mayans, the Greeks , the Aborigines, and the Sumerians. After this Yashar ordered that the Agarthans would help mankind to develop and grow until they were capable of integrating with the Agarthans and uniting earth under the same banner yet again all because Yashar understood a dangerous truth...the Zetin would soon return as the remnants of their world had long since fled to rebuild and would no doubt come to deal with the rebellious earth. So Yashar began to create his biological weapons, mixes of different genetic codes that produced a number of creatures, from giant humanoids, to massive flying fire breathing reptiles modeled after earths oldest reptilians. However it wasn’t until later in around 10,000bc that he would go on to begin to craft the Meta-gene’s that would produce some of his most powerful creations.

The Djinn, Demons, Sphinxes and even Vampires and other monsters came out of his further research. Sadly however these creatures would go on to pose a threat to the rebuilding societies of humans. So Yashar would come down in a variety of alternate forms in order to teach the humans how to deal with these creatures, furthering their technological and cultural development. This angered the king of agartha who rose against Yashar aiming to turn his own weapons on the Deity. To which Yashar responded by Empowering the Rival heir to the throne and helping that heir to depose the enraged king. This civil war would last several hundred years, which while still realatively quick compared to the multi thousand year lifespans of the agarthans, or the multi million year lifespan of Yashar, it was still long enough to cause trouble. The Zetin had come back and knowing the forces of Agartha and Yashar would oppose them they sent scouts ahead. These scouts presented themselves to the world as their creators, they built countless lies and dogmatic claims, fantastical claims and left out the finer details of their history. By the time Yashar had won and the agarthan civil war had been quelled the Zetin spies were tightly intertwined with mankind and it wouldn’t be possible to remove them without also removing mankind from the earth.

With no other choices left Yashar decided he would simply use the Agarthans to monitor the humans, and perfect his bio weapon before the Zetin main force could arrive. The spies would try to steer mankind to its destruction, while the Agarthans and Yashar would try to bring them back from the brink. Time and time again they would come close, empires would collapse, nations would be tricked into war with one another. Yet each time the Agarthans would save the remnants of mankind. When the Zetin triggered volcanic reactions, the Agarthans and Yashar would send strong winds to blow their sail boats to safety. When large earthquakes were triggered by Zetin attempts into Agartha, myterious figures would arrive and reach the youth how to rebuild. When a plague nearly wiped out all of humanity, Yashar came to people in dreams to tell them how to fight it back. However in the modern day things have begun to ramp up more quickly. Zetin spies have planted agents all over the governments of the world many of whom are now aware of the Agarthan’s but have been framing them as outside invaders to those with the clearance to know of them. The Zetin forces are a mere few months away from earth but finally Yashar has cracked the code to his Metagene. People around the world watch in wonderous Awe as tiny shards of light looking like lemon sized stars fell from the moon to the earth for a 48 hour period. Those who were lucky enough to pick up one of these shards or find them after they fell would be surprised to find the shard turn into a light like liquid and flow into their body. From that point on they find themselves forever changed, with new abilities they never thought possible.

With the world reeling from the chaos of empowered individuals Agartha and Yashar prepare to make their presence known, Meanwhile the Zetin spies within the governments in the world prepare themselves for the coming storm for they know they are soon to be rooted out and are readying for the long war of attrition they will have to face until their reinforcements arrive. With so much chaos in the world unfolding the questions one must ask are with whom do you stand? Who do you wish to side with if anyone? And what will the date of humanity be as this calamity reaches its crescendo? In truth there is no right answer, but when our gods wage wars the world tends to shake and sometime even the Stars Fall

The playable groups.


Humanity- By a very large margin the most numerous of the forces on the planet earth. Unfortunately they are also the least technologically advanced of all the groups but not so much so as to not pose a threat to the other factions. Human ballistic weaponry has grown exceptionally powerful and very accurate, and the recent addition of armored exoskeletons,digital hud’s linked to small portable radars, and portable 3-d printers that can produce additional ammunition and explosives makes humanity a very diverse and formidable foe. All that paired with the fact that they are the faction who were the largest number to gain access to the Light Shards created by Yashar meaning they have the highest meta population. Not all humans are on the same side.


Agarthan- A much more developed terrestrial civilization who once was considered to be human but in the past 600,000 years have begun evolving into the next stage beyond humanity. They are notably more physically strong, have better reflexes, can heal faster, and live for about a hundred times as long as a human with their average lifespan capping out at around 7000-8000 years. They possess heavily advanced technology including inter planetary travel, abnormal materials such as energy absorbing alloys, access to magnetic and gravitational energy sources, personal force fields, and energy projection fields allowing them to utilize powerful energy weapons, and even make hard light constructs. That said only twelve Agarthans were able to receive the shards of light and all twelve were hand picked by Yashar.


Zetin- the Zetin spies on earth are fairly powerful individuals even by the Agarthan standard. Having been literally bred for the purpose of conquest these alien spies are stronger faster and tougher than most if not all Agarthan’s and are well beyond human capacity in that regard. They can regenerate rapidly and have access to telepathic abilities that let them read the thoughts of others and with enough effort even implant ideas in people’s minds. Their technology is all organic due to them being spies and not wanting to bring any of the more advanced Zetin tech in case they were to fail. As such they grow weapons, armor, and components on an as needed basis allowing them to keep a low profile without sacrificing much functionality. The fact that makes it so hard to track them however is their ability to shapeshift into other humanoids even going so far as to alter their own DNA to match the target forms. As a result there are fears that they may have infiltrated even into Agartha. Luckily none have taken a shard of light for fear of it revealing their presence to Yashar, who constantly seeks them.


Alters- The collective name for the many species created by Yashar during his attempts to make the metagene. This includes but is not limited to. Demons of either of the horned variant or of the disembodied intelligence variant, dragons, werewolves, vampires, Bigfoot, giants and any number of other creatures. Only Gods, Angels, and Titans are not included in this list. any other mythical creature who is too powerful for the other factions to compete with do not exist in this story, none of these creatures are actually “Magical” they just happen to have abilities designed into them that seem as if it is magic. All creature are flesh and blood or some kind of energetic field with sentience.

Disclaimer- this story will be mostly open world and player controlled to a degree. Some of the most influential events in this story are somewhat inevitable, such as the Zetins eventual arrival, and the eventual revealing of the Agarthans and Yashar. However for the most part characters decisions, sides chosen, and actions will steer this story. It is possible that the Zetins win, its possible that they get clapped by mankind, its even possible that the humans win out in the end and repel the Zetins and the Agarthans. In the end the choice is y’all’s and each player character is a “main” character whose decisions will effect the outcome of this story.

Levels of technology

All of these factions have varied levels of technological development. Below is a summarized explaination of the technological developments of each of the groups. In order from least to most advanced.

Alters- unfortunately despite their remarkable abilities many of the alters are disconnected from one another and communities of them are small and primitive in most cases as it tends to help them hide out. Even in the rare cases where they do advance further it rarely if ever reaches even human levels of advancement. Luckily for the alters, their natural abilities and in many cases ability to hide amongst humans makes up for this in spades. The average alter will be equipped with medieval levels of technology and some utilize modern human weaponry where they can, however there have been one or two rare cases of Them getting ahold of Agarthan tech.

Humanity- humans level of technology is actually rather impressive. They have got space travel to the point where missions to Mars are underway even now. Satellites have gained large leaps in their capabilities being able to identify a persons retina scans from orbit. Hypersonic vehicles are now a reality in military and their most advanced personal weapons are rail guns and backpack fueled directed energy weapons. Nuclear weapons have recently received a downsize making smaller ordinance a capability, even a few personnel utilized nuclear rocket launchers are currently in deploy. Robotics have allowed for primitive prosthesis that are at least as functional as original limbs and exoskeletal armor systems are now being deployed in military operations.

Agarthan- the technology of Agartha is truly wonderous by human standards. They have massively hypersonic crafts capable of going many hundred time the speed of sound, in addition they have wormhole generators but they can only utilize them in space at least a half a million miles from the planet. They have medical technology that can allow them to reattach limbs and repair organs in minutes even while in the battlefield. Their Alloys are capable of crumpling and then returning to their shape, or absorbing and redirecting energy. However Agartha does have a bit of a disadvantage against mankind’s weaponry as they tend to prefer weapons like spears and swords as their physical enhancements make those weapons tremendously more effective than normal variations. Furthermore they tend to attach advanced technology like vibrational generators that allow the weapon to cleave through lesser metals like butter, or energy crystals that allow for lasers to be fired from the weapon. Their ranged weapons are bows and spears that while more powerful than earth weapons have far less range. Their ships are typically weaponless, however a few battle class craft exist that possess directed energy weapons beyond anything man has produced.

Zetin & Yashar- Both the Zetin and Yashar use the same level of technology but with different applications. Yashar was the mind behind the defense platform of the moon, he modified genetics all over the planet, has altered weather, and can seemingly manipulate the fundamental forces of the universe. Unfortunately the Zetin seem to have similar capabilities being able to reorganize matter at a level precise enough to change their DNA, seemingly having attained immortality as they can be cloned and revived many many thousands of years after their death. Both of them possess technology that can be easily confused with magic, but among them all the most advanced technology is what they use to actually create life, create intelligence ,terraform planets, and fabricate infinitely replicating spiritual essences or as many have taken to calling them...Souls.

The Stars- the meta gene orbs rained upon the earth from the moon are the fruits of Yashar’s efforts. They essentially activate the “divine” dna within individuals granting them a very wide range of abilities. However due to the subtle differences in genetics from person to person those who attained one of the rapid genetic edits developed different abilities for each individual. These can range from psychic manipulation of elements and even thoughts, all the way to greatly enhanced physical abilities and some limited applications of matter manipulation, energy manipulation, and even in some cases manipulation of the fundamental forces of the universe such as electromagnetism, gravity, and the nuclear forces. That said the genes do have their limits and typically the more powerful the ability the more taxing the use of it can be. Side effects of overuse can include feeling lightheaded, passing out, internal bleeding, and even catastrophic organ failure, however these symptoms are more often than not progressive and those with abilities will have ample warning before the more severe symptoms arise.
