Fantasy Even dragons || OOC || have their ending

Haha, oh no.

I’m not sure honestly! I always have a lot of ideas but I dont want to like... pull focus if that makes sense? I always worry I’m making my characters too overpowered and important in these group settings. >>;;

I DO know that Agni right now is very open to being manipulated by those with antagonistic leanings and that could have some sort of effect on the plot.

I might need a refresher course on your demonology, ahaha. It’s been a while. But! I will definitely brainstorm.

Bram thinks stabbing her is going to work, obviously. Vlad is just praying he can outthink an ancient demoness.

One thing we could do is sort of put all our cards in the table with what our characters’ abilities are and what sort of history they have. But of course that steals the fun of revealing that slowly, so there’s that.

That’s kinda my worry too. I don’t wanna just start pulling in characters and making this all about me and mine, cause obviously it’s about all of us and everyone.

I could potentially work with something involving Agni being manipulated...Lilith is always looking to manipulate. I had ideas for another character, but maybe even if Agni gets it in his head that the best way to deal with Alex’s predicament is to hand him over somehow?? There might be something there. Or maybe he plans to kill Alex despite what everyone else says? Or even hand himself over to Lilith as the only way to really protect the earth and its people, and maybe even May? And then Lilith would use him to take Alex? Or at that point maybe not even need Alex? Or course that doesn’t much solve our ‘how to kill Lilith’ problem. Honestly, I’m open to whatever ideas you have Miko, involving your characters. Im good with sharing the spotlight. I prefer it honestly.

As for demonology, to be honest, with regular ol’ demons, a simple exorcism or even overpowering is plenty to send them at least back where they came from. Alex’s Hellfire can kill them, but that’s if they’re weak enough to be overcome. Obviously the idea is that Lilith won’t be so easily dealt with, but I’m not so sure if I want it to be some specific weapon that is her weakness, or some other power source...?

Hmmmmm is there a way they could like... trap her in another dimension somehow? I know Ellery can bebop through dimensions, but can Agni move through other dimensions besides the Dominica god dimensions? I’m just tossing out whatever pops in my head, hoping it’ll spark something, haha.

I’m a big fan of using what powers they have and combining them to surprise/outthink our big baddie, personally.

But everyone knows that The Power of Friendship is my lifeblood so this should be a surprise to no one.

If you want to introduce a new character that’s fine too!

Agni is having a crisis because the idea that somebody who has dangerous power can just BE ALIVE and have any sort of identity outside of that power is fucking him up. Poor kid has so many issues with responsibility and identity, so it would be very easy to manipulate him going forward. Not that it has to happen right now! But I think it could make for a fun plot twist later on.

A specific item she’s weak to could be cool! But I also SO dig the power of friendship stuff.

The different dimensions are totally an option. The former dragon sealed the serpent in a dimension that he basically made with his power. The catch is that it’s tied to him so he can’t ever move or risk breaking it. Which is why nobody ever sees him and he doesn’t visit the human world or anything.

Agni knows this is an option but he doesn’t WANT to do it because he only just got a life and he doesn’t want to give it up yet. But he’s not SUPPOSED to feel that way he’s supposed to be selfless and willing to give up everything for others on a whim because that’s how guardians are, and it’s also a big part of why he’s freaking out right now. Not that they even know if that would work or not.

Something that could possibly tie into the different dimension idea--is Lillith using her host to tie her to the earth's plane/as a powersource? If so, could they separate her from her host long enough for her power to run out? Then maybe Agni wouldn't need to hold it forever, if he was the one controlling the dimension.
I have a half-formed idea about the magic-wielders needing to join forces for some grand magic working--if they could figure out a way to get all their different types of magic to play nice with each other.

What we've learned of May and Agni's story makes me go :'(

I LOVE wielders of disparate magic blending their magics.

So I’ll give a little bit of info without giving away too much, but Vlad can manipulate and “read” energy. He can also sort of “suck” energy out of something with the black flames he creates (I wanted it to be a backwards fire, bahaha). Bram “doesn’t have magic”. Thanks to backstory shenanigans, Vlad can make use of Bram’s “not magic” in his energy manipulation as well.

Agni was intended to be a take on ‘the chosen one’ archetype and how that level of responsibility would SERIOUSLY fuck a kid up. Not that it’s a new take but it’s very fun to write.

May’s magic is pure energy and is actually pretty Adaptive. I’ve written about this in other rps but he is essentially a battery and it would be very easy to adapt his power to a completely different kind of magic.

His power has nothing to actually do with stones. He just got the idea that stones had power as a kid and his interpretation of that is what gives him magic rocks. Which is what Agni was sort of teasing him about several posts ago (a year ago? Wow).

Agni’s magic is entirely self contained and he can’t like cast spells or anything since his ‘power’ is tied to his real body which isn’t actually here. But he’s similar to May a bit in that if somebody establishes a connection, they can use his power however they want.

Teddy has magic of a sort, which allows her to shapeshift--I suppose it's less that she has magic, and more that she is magic, if that makes sense. It isn't naturally suited to doing spellwork or the like. Theoretically it's probably possible, but it would likely come with unpleasant side effects.

Kaida is a very experienced magic wielder, and under normal circumstances she has a vast reserve of power at her disposal. But due to ~recent events~ ("recent" in elf-terms, anyway) that required immense magical exertion, she is not currently at full strength. She can draw energy from what's available in her natural surroundings, but how much that would be is quite variable, and she is strictly opposed to drawing upon an external source's life energy.

I have another magical character in the wings, but she's supposed to stay a side character. So we'll see how that goes. XD

So, I was rereading through everyones ideas, and I had one of my own, that involves the manipulation of Agni. Obviously the extent of Agni's manipulation is completely up to you, but I do in fact have a character that would be perfect for the job. I don't want to say too much, though honestly the cat will be out of the bag the moment I write it, and it's not that big of a reveal.

Anyway!

As for Lilith and pooling magics. First of all, Alex's magic is essential spell-work, and he has to know the spells and have the right tools and ingredients to perform them. He can't just pull magic out of thin air. With his whole demon-summoning thing, that's specific to his predicament of being half-human, and he still has to summon the demon using known summoning practices. At which point, he generally maintains control and wields the demons' powers (which is 99% of the time the weilding of Hellfire, but can occasionally shift depending on how powerful the demon). Occasionally, he doesn't maintain control, and full things happen. That's the gist of it.

I feel like removing Lilith from her human host would weaken her ties to their plane of existence, which is why she wants Alex--he's one host who would not die on her. The issues then are 1) getting her out of her host, and 2) keeping her from jumping into a second host. But that could be where the magic pooling comes in. Vlad's energy sucking fire would definitely help to keep Lilith too weak to jump into a new host, keep her in a non-corporeal form. And once she's weakened, Agni or May could come up with a way to shoot her into some unknown dimension. Where maybe she's not dead, but they at least have significant time before they'd ever have to worry about her again? They could use Alex as bait to draw her from her original host body, and then Kaida could manage to hold up some sort of barrier to prevent Lilith from slipping into Alex? That is, if all goes according to plan, at least...

Yes this is good! I think this seems like a solid plan going forward and I am still excited about this rp
