Fantasy Vampires & Werewolves

useless

✰ 愚か者
I'm looking for someone to write as a vampire while I write as a werewolf. I feel like there is a lot to cover with this, and I'm not entirely sure where to start, so please forgive me if this post just seems like a jumbled, unorganized mess!

Okaaaaay! So, I can't claim to have a specific plot in mind, but I do have some key points that I'd like to throw out there. To start with, I really want this to be modern. Medieval plots never seem to last long for me, and while I'm open to discussing worlds of pure fantasy, I'd really prefer if we based the story off of somewhere in the modern world.

Now let's talk about abilities! Obviously, vampires and werewolves dwell in the realm of fantasy, so they should have abilities beyond what normal mortals can do. I like to base vampires off of Anne Rice's ideals for vampires:

- They burn in the sun - with the exception of vampires that are millenniums of years old. Even so, vampire have the instinctive urge to get AWAY from the sunlight against their own will, and may even burrow beneath the earth if they are caught in the sun to escape it.

- As long as they are away from sunlight, be it under ground or in a dark room, vampires fall unconscious, or sleep, and will unconsciously defend themselves from danger should they be attacked or exposed to sunlight - in which case they will burrow, as stated above.

- There is a 'society' of vampires, in a sense, but that doesn't mean vampires are everywhere. They are aware that their are other vampires, some even form small covens out of the ones they love or ones they feel they need, but often times, they prefer to avoid one another after extended periods of being near others of their own kind. Kind of like blood-sucking ancient kitties!

- Powers vary between vampires. Some can fly or catch things/beings on fire with their mind, some have super strength, some can read minds, some can move objects with thought alone - hell, some (I'd say the very oldest or those who have consumed the blood OF the very oldest) can do it all! However, there are others with no powers that spend their lives running from other stronger vampires.

- They have territories, and are often very protective of their territory from outside vampires. Older vampires who have been established in certain cities for centuries or decades are likely known and avoided, but there are rogue vampires who would likely try and sneak in.

Of course, each of those 'rules' is up for discussion, so don't feel like any of it is written in stone! Those are just some examples taken from Anne Rice's work, I'm game to add new rules or alter existing ones!

Now, I don't really have anything to go off of as far as werewolves go, but here are some ideas I think could maybe be fun to try out:

- Unlike vampires, werewolves can't be made, they are born. Likely, their numbers are few due to early hunting from vampires who perceived them as a threat. The remnants have formed together to create packs, but there are a few ancient 'lone wolves' or 'rogues' who prefer to live on their own without an alpha to try and control them.

- When shifted, werewolves look like giant wolves. Not bipedal humanoids.

- Werewolves age very, very slow compared to humans, and can lives hundreds of years, maybe even older, but are often killed by other wolves or vampires before they can reach such old ages.

- They heal quickly, but more serious wounds take longer to heal. Still faster than humans, but not as fast as vampires.

- Where vampires have speed and near-immortality on their side, werewolves have immense strength and skin that even vampire fangs have a hard time tearing apart.

- FORGIVE ME FOR I HAVE SINNED, but this is an idea stolen from Twilight; Werewolves imprint on their soul mate.

For that last one, I just think it would be really fun if that's the reason my werewolf gal started to stalk your vampire around, heh! Speaking of of gal, I haven't plotted her out TOO much, as I'd prefer we discuss those ideas together. However, I'd like her to be a rogue werewolf or an outcast who was banished from the pack for attacking the alpha or something like that. Maybe she has alpha blood as well, I don't know, but I want her to be a defiant trouble maker who is forcibly bound to someone who SHOULD be her natural enemy! c;

Anyways! That's enough from me for now. I'll try and organize this later and add more details, but if you're interested by this mess, please feel free to shoot me a message! <3

...would you be okay with an LGBTQ one? Because I am hella interested (I have watched and read the series Twilight so I have some inside info lol)
