Her hair is black and extremely short. She usually styles it in elegant finger waves or slicked back. Dina prefers it this way as since easier to manage. Though there are times where she’ll wear wigs as both a disguise or aesthetic purposes. Depending on her form Dina’s eyes are either an eye catching light blue with black specks or pitch black and slitted like that of a reptile. Either way she’s been told that her gaze is intense by many, that it feels as if she’s looking right through them. Dina had cool, dark brown skin. Her skin is usually smooth and soft, though it can turn into that of a snake’s, with dark brown scales covering her body. Her teeth are razor sharp as well as her claws, they can easily slice through flesh.

She has an overall intimidating disposition in both her forms, standing as 6’0” and weighing around 180 lbs, she can be only described as statuesque. Her figure is very toned and muscular due to her lifestyle. x

Reptile Physiology — Dina has a variety of features from different species of reptiles:
  • Venom Generation - Dina produces a venom that is as potent as that of a black mamba’s. Though it is more dangerous as there isn’t an anti-venom for her type of venom. Dina’s venom, along with her bite, is painful and can cause a range of problems such as loss of control of tongue and jaw, tunnel and blurred vision, paralysis, and eventually death depending on how much she produces.
  • Powerful Bite - Her bite is powerful enough to go through bone and metal. It is similar to that of the Nile crocodile. Her jaws are strong and once she has locked onto something, it’s hard to shake her off.
  • Regeneration - Dina body is able to regenerate lost limbs and heal wounds at a fast rate depending on the size of the injury. Typically something small like scratches, stab wounds, and bullets wounds take a few seconds to a few minutes. Replacing lost limbs takes more time, such as hours to days. If she’s injured enough Dina goes into a coma like sleep in order to use all of her energy to heal. In this state she appears as if she’s dead.
  • Wall Crawling - She can produce the same type of adhesive that geckos use in order to stick to surfaces.
  • Enhanced Condition - Dina strength grants her the ability to lift at least 14 tons. Her speed is greater than the top human athlete and she can reach a top speed of 45 miles per hour. Dina’s agility, balance, and bodily coordination are enhanced as well, including her reflexes. She’s more durable than a normal human due to her scales, as they act as armor for her. She had enhanced stamina, being able to stay active for long periods of time.
  • Reptile Manipulation - Dina can influence reptiles of all kind, while not outright controlling them they do feel the urge to obey her. Dina can speak to them and form a connection with them. This mind link allows her to see through their eyes and such.

Strengths —
Dina is a talented actress, she can fake emotions rather well. She is stealthy and knows how to blend into the background and disappear. She is skilled in hand to hand combat. She’s trained under a variety of instructors from a young age, including her own father. She’s proficient in Krav Maga, Jiu-Jitsu, and pankration. Dina is also adept at improvising in combat and using whatever I’d around her as a weapon.
Weaknesses —
Like many reptiles she prefers warm weather over cold. In cold temperatures she becomes sluggish and rather slow. Just as when she’s fatally injured, if Dina gets too cold she will fall into a deep, death like slumber. Due to her nature Dina has a more animalistic state of mind than most, because of this she can be reckless and aggressive at the worst of times. Often acting on instinct during times where she’s cornered or her human mind is exhausted. Dina sheds and during this time her scales are soft and weak, just like human skin.

Weapons —
Sting & Fang: While she has many weapons in her arsenal, Dina’s signature weapons are her daggers that are her coated in her venom. The daggers are made from depleted promethium infused with titanium, making her beloved daggers near indestructible.

Suit —
Dina’s suit was made using the latest nanotechnology. The material is strong enough to deflect bullets yet light enough so that it doesn’t hinder her mobility. It comes with a number of holsters so that she can carry or weapons. The helmet of the suit reacts to her command and can do a number of things, like enhancing images and recording what she sees.

Personality —
Due to her appearance Dina can come across as intimidating and enjoys it a little. She’s not the warmest individual, given that life that she’d lived it’s hard for her to open up to others. Dina is wary of strangers and always seems to see the worst in people rather than the best. Dina is the manipulative sort, she’s ambitious and isn’t afraid to use underhanded means to reach her goals. She has plenty of street smarts given her past. Intense is another way to describe her, her gaze is sharp and she as a habit of staring, it’s as if she’s staring right through someone or so she’s been told. Dina is someone is trust her instincts, they’ve never stirred her wrong and helped her get out of a variety of bad situations.

Dina enjoys being by herself rather than being in the company of others. Though she knows how to socialize with others well. Dina is a graceful person who carries herself with pride, a straight back and with her head held high. She’s confident in herself and it shows. When Dina cares for someone she cares deeply. She would be willing to do almost anything for those close to her. Dina has a bad habit of getting possessive of both people and objects. Whether the relationship is platonic or not she doesn’t like to share and is rather protective. She is someone who sees things through, she’s get the job done and prefers not to waste time or slack off. Well versed in the art of speaking, Dina is a talented wordsmith and can talk circles around most.

History —
Her parents knew that something was wrong with her from the moment she was born. There was silence in the delivery room, save for her cries as she was brought into the world. Her mother had gasped upon seeing her creation for the first time. Her father had been visibly horrified. Dina’s birth had been something to be ashamed of in her parent’s eyes. She was not like the other children, didn’t look or behave like them. It was no wonder she was dropped off at a local orphanage.

With little funding it was easy for a few kids to fall through the cracks, for a young Dina who, alienated from her peers, would prefer to stay on the streets. Her life was pick pocketing and stealing to get by. Each time she was forced to return to the orphanage she would sneak out once again. No one would adopt a child like her, a feral and odd looking thing. And honestly, she preferred it that way. She didn’t need anyone, she was fine by herself.

That changed when she attempted to pickpocket the wrong person and ended up getting caught. She had been expected to get into trouble but to her surprise she was let go, unaware that the man who had done so was keeping an eye on her. She had realize that there were strange people looking spying on her from a distance and when she finally met the man again, she had bolted. She’d returned to the orphanage only to hear the news that she had been adopted.

To say that she taught the entire time would be an understatement. It took work for her father, Alonso, to gain her trust and mentor her properly. Dina slowly but steadily thrived under his guidance. She was offered opportunities that she never had before, privileges that a street rat like her could only dream about. She transformed into a deadly person under her father’s guidance and learned to control her powers properly. And when she learned of his profession behind the charming businessman and philanthropist, she was eager to follow in his footsteps. Becoming the feared figure known as Echidna. To the outside world Dina is simply the daughter of wealthy and generous Alonso Mattia.

It was easy to craft a new persona for Dina once she was adopted, so that the connection between her and the little reptile girl from her childhood couldn’t be connected. Instead Dina Mattia was the result of a failed relationship between Alonso and her mother, who tragically died giving birth to her. A perfectly normal woman with a tragic story.

Personality
Grant is the type of guy that tends to prefer not to draw any attention to himself. He instead usually opts to gather as much as he can about a person through observation before deciding if he even wants to attempt interaction with them - as rude and judgmental as that may sound, there's no particular distaste in the action. He does this for everyone. Gotham City is teeming with people who aren't what they seem, be it crooked cops or insane psychologists. This is simply a well-warranted defense mechanism and one that's hardly failed him so far.

While initially a bit stand-offish and intimidating, he's actually a pretty agreeable person so long as your moral alignment coincides with his. Hell, even if it doesn't sometimes. While it's not his usual preference, if someone is working towards the same end-goal he is, he could care less if they're objectively a good person or not. He's not opposed to offering a bit of advice if it's asked for or a crumb of friendly companionship either way. All he asks is that his partner save the vicious backstabbing until after they get their guy.

Other than that, Grant's really just a big physically tired security desk jockey attempting to do the right thing in-between shifts. He really doesn't have much energy for anything else and he's pretty a-okay with that set-up. The guy's about as friendly as you allow him to be, but in the end he really just prefers to work alone. No distractions, no ulterior motives and few risks he can't control.

VICES:

(-) Alcoholism. While for the most part Grant's functional whether he's been drinking or not, his dependence on it leads to some pretty severe withdrawal symptoms, not limited to but most notably irritability and nausea. In fact - Grant might even claim he's more functional drunk than he is sober, a possibly manufactured side-effect of his body's addiction to it.

(-) Melancholia. Feeling or tending to feel a thoughtful or gentle sadness. The last thing he wants is to come across like a bleak stick-in-the-mud, but there's a pretty heavy aura surrounding him. It's most likely a combination of his innate exhaustion, skepticism and possibly a hint of depression entwined with his hope and pursual of a better Gotham, or at least a more livable East End.

(-) Inflexibility. Grant knows his morals and he knows what he stands for. When he makes a plan, he takes into account most possible outcomes and plans accordingly for them - not once deviating from that plan once he has it set. This can make it somewhat hard for him to be able to work as a team with people as he has the mind of a crochety old man stuck in his ways.

(-) Perfectionism. I'm not entirely sure if it's a compulsion for him; but he sets extraordinarily high goals for himself, and if he doesn't complete them to am exact tee, he tends to focus on what he could've done better or how things went wrong more than celebrating the positive aspects of his successes.

(-) Workaholic. This really goes without saying. Grant leaves little spare time for leisure in between long shifts at Arkham and vigilante ventures through the city. In fact, this leaves little time for rest at all. He's managed to keep himself mostly stable in between all this with the help of triple-shot coffee and microsleeping.

VIRTUES:

(+) Respectful. Grant never talks over or interrupts anyone, listens to what others have to say before expressing his viewpoint and never forgets to return a "thank you" with a "you're welcome". Really, it's just common decency, even if it isn't so common nowadays.

(+) Courageous. "I act on my convictions, and I face threats, challenges, difficulties, and pains - despite my doubts and fears." He's got a lot of thoughts, a lot of ideas on how he can do his part to make his city a better place - and no matter what, he intends to act on them.

(+) (Mostly) Level-Headed. Grant honestly can't stand the drama, the bullshit, or anything equivalent. It's not so much that it angers him as it does exhausts him more. He tends to err on the side of calm and sensible when it comes to most things and is definitely reliable enough to come to when something is bothering you with another party or even internally. If he can, he'll do his best to sort the shit out, even if it means sitting two irate parties down in front of the other and taking on the role of Dr. Phil for a moment.

(+) Highly intelligent. Grant formulates plans. Connects the dots. I wouldn't be surprised if he had one of those corkboard hangings in his shitty apartment with bits of red string connecting news clippings and photographs to certain events like some sort of neo-noir protagonist. Not only is he good at reading people and rooms, he's good at logic and mathematics. There's little he can't solve with a little time and brainpower.

(+) Highly trustworthy. Listen, he isn't new to this. He's been fucked over and has done his share of the fucking over in his past twenty or so years of vigilantism. He's come to the conclusion that sometimes bullshitting your way out of trouble is necessary, but is it really worth it? Either way, if you're on the same side as him, he'll bring every single one of your secrets to the grave.

LIKES:

(+) Long hot showers. Especially handy when it comes to feeling the effects of your actions as you age. In your teens and twenties, you can mostly take a few spills and feel fine after a few days - but as you age those old injuries come back to haunt you in kind and you start to live in an absolute state of constant soreness. At least, that's the case for Grant. Hot showers are a great muscle relaxant and massage. It's only a bonus it gives you time to reflect on the day and collect your thoughts.

(+) Midnight. It's never exactly quiet in the big city; but dark, rainy nights - the humidity in the air, the view of the glowing neon lights reflected on the cracked tar - yeah, he's most definitely a night owl when he has his few nights off. Preferring to operate under the shroud of night is a big blessing.

(+) Snakebite & Black. His signature drink of choice; made with equal parts lager and cider with a dash of blackcurrant cordial. Many bars refuse to serve this particular mixture as it has the tendency of intoxicating quicker and more powerfully than most with just one drink and well, the berries used in blackcurrant cordial technically aren't legal in the US, but Grant's frequented the depths of O'Malley's so much that the bartender cuts him a nice deal on them nowadays. The man can definitely hold his liquor. Wanna try him?

(+) Puzzles, riddles, brain benders and tongue twisters. Really anything that helps sharpen the mind and keep it active. Most tend to get pissy at the prospect of an unexpected puzzle or riddle they're required to solve, but Grant takes it all on willingly and eagerly. A challenge, if you will.

(+) Remaining unknown. Grant has been living and working in Gotham City for his entire life, taking up vigilantism at the age of 23 as a response to the GCPD corruption he'd witnessed while slumming it around O'Malley's. The more attention he gets from the media, other villains or other heroes he considers nothing but detrimental to what he's attempting to do and so much is very plain about his vigilante "alter-ego", from his suit to his actions. He kicks ass and takes names, but there's been times he's had to flee because the cops had caught wind of the commotion going down before he managed to finish his job.

DISLIKES:

(-) Too much attention. Grant is terrible at public speaking, interrogations or any event where the spotlight is directly on him. Put him in any one of those situations and he'll literally just fall silent and refuse to speak. This also has a lot to do with anonymity and vigilantism.

(-) Long shifts. For as much as he's a workaholic, the high turnover rate and overall stressful work environment that is Arkham Asylum leads grant to work long hours of overtime and due to this he doesn't even have much time to head back to his apartment, really. Sometimes he has as little as four hours between shifts, so what does he do? Goes out to the car, puts his seat back and crashes until the alarm on his phone wakes him three-and-a-half hours later. It's a dirty job but someone's gotta do it.

(-) Girly drinks. Mai Tais, Appletinis, Sangrias. All way too overpriced for something that tastes and acts like sugar coming down. Part of the charm of consuming alcohol is recoiling in disgust or pain as the shit hits your throat.

(-) Organized crime. This includes many of the officers within the GCPD. Much of them are paid off or just simply underfunded, more than willing to turn a blind eye to evidence out of fear or monetary compensation.

(-) Last calls. Self-explanatory.

HOBBIES:

(•) Crossword puzzles, sudoku. He's built up quite the selection of puzzles of this nature from Gotham's newspaper. You can usually find them thrown in a haphazard pile by the nightstand in his bedroom.

(•) (Attempting) to learn how to cook. Grant just came out of a twenty-year-long marriage with no kids and a heavy workload, so for the most part his ex-wife cooked most of the meals. He doesn't necessarily like living on Chinese takeout so being able to cook for himself when he finds the time is a fun little event.

(•) Watching True Crime documentaries. Miss him with the fake cop shows, Grant enjoys learning what he can of cold cases and the psychology behind some of the world's most infamous killers, thieves and general chaos-sowers.

(•) Whittling/woodcarving. It's not necessarily anything special, but when he's feeling particularly relaxed, he enjoys carving tiny trinkets, statuettes or charms out of cheap wood. There's always some part of Gotham that's under construction, some new office building or tenement complex being put up, so stray chunks of decent wood framing always finds its way to the sidewalk. Sometimes he even does it while bored at work.

(•) Playing guitar. Little known fact; Grant can play acoustic guitar and actually play it fairly well. Not that he's fond of shredding or complex chord progressions, but if you want to watch him kick back and play something all you need do is ask. His singing voice could be better...

QUIRKS:

(•) Grant has very expressive eyebrows. Whether he's confused, angry or elated about an event, his eyebrows are almost always moving to fit that.

(•) He's supposed to be wearing glasses, but almost never does. Grant's vision isn't terrible enough that he's walking around blind... everything definitely looks a little soft and blurry about the edges, though.

(•) Watching True Crime documentaries. Miss him with the fake cop shows, Grant enjoys learning what he can of cold cases and the psychology behind some of the world's most infamous killers, thieves and general chaos-sowers.

(•) Ambidextrous? Yes GAWD.

(•) Grant is one of those guys whose apartment is a mess but he still knows exactly where everything is to a T. Need a thumbtack? One probably popped off his red string bulletin and rolled under his filing cabinet last week. Be right back, he'll go get it.

FEARS:

(•) Losing his mind, himself. Be it the inevitable gradual decline in health that comes with each passing year or undergoing something excruciating that causes him to snap, Grant fears losing his wit and grasp of reality - but most of all his memories. Not all have been great, especially not recently, but he's been through too much to let it all go so easily.

(•) Becoming the "real baddie". It's hard to gauge what's right or wrong in a society where every single person follows their own moral compass. There's no way around it; all Grant has accomplished so far is only as good as the next average Joe perceives it. The thought does get to scaring him at times.

(•) Change. He's just... he's just seen so much of it. It's happening constantly. He's tired.

(•) No privacy, no peace. Mostly in the form of his vigilante alter-ego bringing him into the public spotlight. See also: change. He just wants to do right and vibe in his shitty little apartment until he dies. I cannot stress this enough; he's tired.

Biography
POWERS: N/A.

SKILLS: Grant prefers hand-to-hand combat and combat martial art, specifically having trained in Krav Maga, and as a licensed armed guard he's somewhat proficient in the use of pistols, including both semi-automatic and full-automatic - of which he'd began training for shortly after he began his night-stint as a vigilante. His occupation of choice offers remarkably little in the way of official training and so he's taken it upon himself to train with discipline. Besides his physical aptitude, he's a very skilled strategist: knowing when to stay his hand and when to strike fast and hard with little mercy.

EQUIPMENT/WEAPONS: His hero fit (due to my lack of artistic skills please just imagine Black Noir's suit), two Beretta M9's (semi-auto, dual-wielding when he has them out because he's skilled with it and because I think it looks so fucking cool), a single combat knife.

WEAKNESSES:

(-) Speed. Grant's many successes come down to premeditated statistics. He's more prone to blocking a punch than dodging it - and though he is very physically fit he isn't as speedy as he used to be. If you truly catch him off-guard or otherwise throw a wrench into his plans, it'll likely make him pause just long enough to very quickly think over where things go from there - possibly a long enough time to gain the upper hand for the reflexively-inclined.

(-) Being pitted against anyone who's powered. Grant has age and experience, but when going up against the powered there are several variables that are impossible for him to take into account beforehand. His martial arts prowess and handguns can only get him so far against somebody who has super strength or psychic abilities.

(-) Too empathetic. Really, he wants to do as much good by as many people as he can, but this can lead to him wavering at the thought of leaving a child fatherless. There have been a few times where he failed at apprehending (or even killing, worst case scenario) a baddie who had held a hostage too close to get a clear shot.

(-) His rigid plans. Sometimes things simply don't go as planned, and while he tries his best to have a plan B (and sometimes even C on particularly high-risk missions) - there's really no accounting for a mysterious third party interfering.

RELATIONSHIPS:

(•) Laura Martin-Etheridge (ex-wife - FC: Kerry Washington). Grant was married to Laura for twenty years, and while their relationship wasn't always volatile, she still tends to loom over him like a vulture - constantly nagging and contacting him as if they were still married. She even occasionally pops up around his apartment to express her disappointment about how low he's let himself fall since.

(•) Mufasa (stray cat, fair-weather but constant companion). Grant has maintained a somewhat unsafe habit of leaving his fire escape window open. He never intended to have a pet, but when he caught this scraggly-looking russet long-hair eating from his leftover takeout in his kitchen - he kinda sorta bonded to him. Grant has since named, collared and vaccinated Mufasa - but he still allows the kit to come and go as he pleases. Don't tell the landlord. (John Wick things may or may not happen to this cat.)

(•) Donnie DeMarco (Captain, boss, drinking buddy - FC: Frank Grillo). Mostly a professional relationship, but there is at least some camaraderie between Grant and his superior. They can usually be caught shooting the shit over drinks nightly at O'Malley's.

Grant was the product of an affair between an affluent Englishman by the name of Tom Etheridge and his housekeeper; a woman of Ghanaian descent, Haniah Mensah. While he doesn't remember much of the father that scorned both him and his mother, he does remember his mother's plight to make ends meet after they were left abandoned in the city of Gotham. His father retreated back to London without even so much as an acknowledgement - and so Grant tends to harbor the mildest undertone of resentment even now for their struggle.

It all started off as a dare that snowballed into the best kind of mistake you could have: Something that was both better and worse than you could ever be. Thanks to the brilliance of both Harley and Ivy, Frankie's conception was a lot smoother than expected. Well, as smooth as anything goes with these two. By the time their son was born Harley was off on another roller coaster fling with the Clown Prince of Assholes once again. Ivy waited because Ivy always waited for her to come to her senses. But, its time was more sinister than the last. Either Harley was really good at hiding or she was dead. This impacted every way that Frankie was brought up by his forlorn "Auntie Ive". He was already brought up with the best of both their genetics...but he also had a couple of hang-ups himself. The piercing ways that Harley could completely breakdown your psyche paired wonderfully with the classic misanthropic tendencies he was raised into having. That didn't mean he was friendless though. At first, Frankie tried out the villainous route but found himself too...soft-hearted to be murderous to innocents. So, he fights crime and only rarely kills anyone. Lately, he's been working with Raven to keep Gotham in check. And, on the other side, he's been looking into the disappearance of one Harleen Quinzel as well as ties to the Red Lipped freak.

Alonso is a feline type mutant and so he has the same abilities as a variety of big cats. Other than his deadly claws and fangs, Alonso possesses superhuman senses, strength, speed, and agility. He is able to see clearly in the dark as in the day. His body is able to withstand extreme conditions. As a feline type Alonso has razor sharp canines and claws that are able to cut through flesh and other items quite easily. His pupils can change from a human’s to a cat‘s at will.


Strengths —
Alonso is an excellent hunter and tracker. once someone is placed on his list, there is little that can be done to avoid him. this particular ability of his increases if he has their scent. Alonso is a master at his craft. He has a talent for both hand to hand combat and weapons usage. Alonso is able to fall off the grid and stay hidden if he doesn’t wish to be found.

Weaknesses —
Alonso can only take so much damage despite his ability. unlike his daughter he does not have a healing factor and even though he can take a lot more damage than the average person he can still be seriously injured or killed. While harder in his case alonso can revert back to a more animalistic state of mind, where he is more reckless and blood thirsty.

Personality —
Alonso is a charming individual to say the least. He’s like an old school gentle, pulling out chairs for ladies, using his manners, and all those chivalrous things. He is all grace and mystery, drawing those in with his sauve words and charming smile until the predator in him decides to strike. Alonso is a highly intelligent man. He prides himself on being well read and knowledgeable, it is power as the saying goes. He’s usually one step ahead of the game and rather unpredictable as well. One might think that they have him all figured out, only to find out that there are hundreds of more layers or walls to go through.

Alonso is a shameless flirt, he enjoys having beautiful people throw themselves at them and can be quite the romantic. He of course uses it as a form of manipulation more often than not. Despite his mannerism and well put together appearance Alonso is still a wild being. Behind that polite and educated persona is a beast just below the service. He is ruthless when he wants to be and downright savage at times, with little regard for those around him. Having a child under his care didn’t change him much, he would go as far as to say that he rubbed off on her even.

Alonso does have a caring side buried deep down. It is only shown to the very few who he holds dear but it is there nonetheless. He’s willing to do whatever it takes for his loved ones, family has always been important to him.

History —
Alonso has been involved in the crime world since he was only a boy. His father a notorious mafia leader and his mother a mafia princess. As the oldest son of six it was his duty to take over once he became of age, however he didn’t want to. Alonso has no desire to take his father’s place. He believed that it would be restrictive, boring even. But as someone who respected his father immensely he went through the proper training to eventually take the throne. Things changed however when his father was killed during a war between a rival family. At the age of nineteen Alonso was forced to take over and he did so flawlessly. But as he predicted the life was bland, he couldn’t do as he pleased, he would eventually have to marry some mafia princess and have babies. That, however, was not the life he wanted. So he began to conspire with his siblings and mother. Alonso would allow his brother to take over and he would go on to live his life.

The plan was to go after those who had killed his father and fake his death after dealing with them. And so the plan was struck and he died. Alonso found that he liked hunting people down, and so he became something like a personal assassin for his family before eventually branching out and becoming a professional mercenary. Life was great for him during this time. He could travel and not have to worry about the responsibilities of being a Don.

Alonso continued his career path and built a fearsome reputation for himself in Italy and surrounding areas. That was until missions brought him to other countries where he made a name for himself there to. When the change happened Alonso was thirty. It was hard on him, nearly killing him like many others in the process but he prevailed and thankfully he hadn’t changed that much. He was devastated when he learned that his mother and youngest brother had died due to it.

He continued on with his life however. Alonso worked for no one but himself, using his power to earn money. Life began boring for him after a while and dare he say, he began feel lonely.

It was during a mission that he came across his protege and daughter. He’d just finished disposing of one of his victims when he’d caught the scent of her lurking in the alleyway, waiting and watching. Leo had went about his business, not surprised when he saw her getting ready to pick pocket the body. From then on he seemed to see her more and more, pickpocketing and stealing to survive. It wasn’t until he happened to walk through her alley that he decided to take her in, even after she tried to steal from him.

And so he taught her about her gift. Instead of hating what she was he taught her to embrace it and use it to her advantage. Given her appearance homeschooling was the only option, the two traveled together, expanding their knowledge and becoming a family. Once he deemed her ready he introduced her to his world, teaching her everything that he knew. Finally the day came where he had to leave and for how long, they didn’t know. But they promised that they would see each other once again.

Psyche:
Aurora is a kind, emotional girl. Faced with many traumas in her life, rather than let it truly get her down, she chooses to move forward in the face of adversity. As damaged as she may be by it, perhaps even physically wounded, she will get back up again. This indestructible resiliency is what has kept her alive this long, or at least kept her from crawling into her bed and avoiding the world entirely. She is naturally curious, and loves to learn. University has been the best experience for her, though she is more than keen to start her life once it's all over. She has dreams of being a big artist, writing comic books, and will often gush to people about ideas she has. Easily, though, she is deterred by sour attitudes and rudeness. It's enough that is physically affects her, with a noticeable damper to her mood if someone else is feeling bad as well. Aurora is easily lulled into depressions, and if not due to someone else or some exterior force, she has a natural cycle of depressive episodes. Her willpower is at its weakest here, and though she will express deep consideration for those around her, she knows that she is hurting. Yet, perhaps determined not to be a burden to anyone else, she refuses to ask for help.

This contrasts heavily with the witch that possesses her, an entity that refuses to state its true name and simply adopts the well-known mantle of Enchantress. Enchantress is cold, cutting and fueled purely by primal instincts and indications of good versus evil. To Enchantress, she is a beacon of right and law in the world-- and she will make everyone else bend to her will. Going out at night and eviscerating/making minced meat out of 'villains' and bad guys. Though, perhaps due to Aurora's conscious effort when Enchantress is not around, the resources to truly find these people are not available. Enchantress is beguiling and confident, impulsive and trusts no one but herself.

Aurora's already fractured mental health is only made worse by this negative energy festering in her soul and mind. Each time that she transfers control, a little part of her strips away-- however, if the two were to be separated, both souls would die without each other. With Enchantress feeding off of Aurora, and Aurora's system being dependent on this parasite, the two are intrinsically linked: for better or for worse.

Rory has been possessed by a similar entity to that of her mother, which dubs itself 'The Enchantress', though the actual witch is not the same whatsoever. Nevertheless, due to familiar rituals, the entity is brought forth to Rory's conscious by the simple uttering of 'Enchantress'. After Enchantress takes hold, Rory is no longer in consciousness until Enchantress transfers it back to her. As Enchantress, telekinesis and intangibility are her main abilities. Being both otherworldly and wielding a witch's powers, Enchantress can manifest weapons, specifically swords-- but these are all the discretion and attention of Enchantress. If she is no longer focusing on the weapon, it will return to intangible energy. Other than that, her strength is only equal to Aurora's as well as her speed.

When Aurora is herself, she has no special powers.

Skills
Aurora is quite a natural at navigating computers-- nothing so extensive as hacking or anything, but she knows her way around a desktop. She loves building video games as well as doing graphic arts, and is a talented artist. Most of her creative arts are in the form of drawing, though she is a wicked pianist; self-taught at that. Rory is a normal college student after that, with semi-decent research skills and the ability to whip up a final paper in a night.

Enchantress, however, is a skilled sword-fighter. She is capable of wielding two short swords or one longsword, though she has a clear preference for the one. Enchantress also has a natural 'gift' of being very persuasive, though that's due to the with herself and nothing inherently magical.
Equipment/Weapons
Aurora carries no weapons, aside from some pepper spray in her purse and a hunting knife she keeps in her bedside table.

Enchantress is able to manifest her swords from her magical energy, though it's noted that these are basically the same sword if not slightly adjusted for shape and size (slightly longer vs. slightly shorter, slightly wider and thin enough for double hand use).
Weaknesses
Aurora is easily exhausted, her immune system somewhat weak for a woman her age. She is not particularly durable, though she does try to maintain some level of exercise (as being regularly possessed is quite a strain on both the physical and mental systems). Still, she's easily bargained for rest and relaxation over particular exertion. Fairly naive to the world, Aurora has been taken advantage of once or twice by some beguiling 'friends', all at her own emotional expense. She is quick to throw herself on the line for people less fortunate than her, or those who are more likely to be taken advantage of themselves. She is truly a good person. On a darker note, Aurora's own mental stability is quite fragile, though she was going to a therapist for a while-- even still, she's one bad day away from a full on breakdown; doesn't help that the witch that is possessing her makes her life a living, no pun intended, hell. She is easily irritated, saddened, and flustered, and will quickly combat whatever it is with words or aggression. Explaining things clear and slow is the best way to get Aurora not upset.

Enchantress' weakness is when Aurora takes control, being at the mercy of a weak-boned, soft mortal woman. As Enchantress, however, the witch is noticeably deterred by water; it seems to burn her and she cannot swim or navigate in any deep water whatsoever. The sight of water makes the witch spin on her heel and flee as fast as she can. Enchantress is also afraid of electricity, particularly large dosages. She loses control of her host that way, and thus she likes to avoid that.

If Enchantress is out for too long, Rory's psyche and mental state suffers as a cause of it. She will delve deep into depression, with occasional hallucinations and bodily tremors. It's not a good thing.

History:

June Moone and Rick Flag were in love. Possibly more than either could have known; it was their mutual love and Rick's willingness to go to the ends of the Earth for his girlfriend that eventually purged the original Enchantress from June's body. June herself, perhaps having a heart strong enough to survive the turmoil that being posessed by a primordial entity wrecked on her, managed to come out of the ordeal fairly unharmed. While her body was not tampered with, it was her mind and her DNA that were deeply affected and manipulated by the energy remnants that came with the Enchantress. The identity, aside from her witchly powers, were mostly unknown-- and to June, that was for the better. Post-possession she was determined to move on with her life; go back to work, and marry the man she loved. A small roadblock appeared there.

That roadblock was a baby, and her name was Aurora. For the most part, the birth of a child brought June and Rick together more than they could have imagined, but it was clear that both were clearly not ready for this kind of commitment. Rick was too flighty, too obsessed with his work at the Pentagon; June was fascinated once again with her archaeological work, and being pregnant put a definite damper on her ability to go spelunking. Nevertheless, the two tried to do whatever they could to be the best parents that their daughter could need. They were married when Aurora was two, with her little chubby fingers passing out lily petals to the very few guests who made their appearance at the wedding.

June continued to suffer from mental lapses, mostly from remnants of the lasting trauma from the Enchantress. Her therapist was her beacon, someone that became a bit of an aunt for young Aurora. As Aurora got older, and required more attention, they often were at the therapist's office most days out of the week. Aurora would be left in the waiting room to play with some books and toys for hours, once her mother decided that having her in the room wasn't an option anymore.

For the most part, Aurora had a quiet appreciation for her adulthood. They lived quite comfortably, considering all that was their life and all that was living in DC. Aurora loved going to the coast, usually with her dad, and they would get ice cream and stare at the waves. He was an odd fellow but he did care for his kid a lot, and it was apparent in the amount of quality time that they spent together. Aurora still clung to her mother, however, perhaps knowing that her mother was pulling away.

June went on medication for schizophrenia when Aurora was eight, and she was old enough that her father told her what it was and why it was happening. Aurora was afraid for her mother, mostly at watching a vibrant young woman begin to crumple and darken as her own mind clouded in on her. Mostly, Aurora was afraid if that meant it would happen to her too-- though Rick assured her that there was no cause for concern.

Though, unbeknownst to them all, there was concern. June having been exposed to the evil energy of Enchantress had left permanent scars on her mind and etched deep into her genetics; enough that it had passed onto her daughter. Not the Enchantress itself, or any kind of spiritual energy-- but a gateway of sorts. A vulnerability to spiritual entities. There was no actual worries with this, as none of the parties were aware that this had happened, but the effects would soon come into play. When Aurora was much older though.

The medication had helped June, but after a nasty argument with Rick, she spitefully went off them. Their own relationship had begun to fizzle out, perhaps due to their life stresses and lack of actual connection that wasn't a deep and spiritual care for each other. Aurora had to watch as her parents began to separate, which culminated into a divorce. It was a messy divorce too, with Aurora's face streaked with tears for what felt like months to the young girl. Her father still cared, wanting to be part of their life, but whatever had upset June lasted so deeply that she forcefully relocated them to Gotham City, just to get away from him. June had also gotten a new job at the museum, something low energy and stable. Aurora was wrecked by this life-changing adjustment.

Things were made worse once they moved there. June was regressing considerably, her emotions stunting and her sense of time and rationality fading by the day. Aurora had to compensate, learning how to cook at a young age and take care of herself. It didn't stop the girl from being miserable, and worse so at the occasional lashes of true emotions that her mother would throw at her. They managed to live in this dysfunctional social circle for years. As June began to lose grips of herself, Aurora pleaded for a way out. To some greater force.

One day, everything seemed alright again. June seemed herself one morning, and this lasted for a whole week. She went to work, she took Aurora with her, who was sixteen at the time, and for a moment there Aurora was convinced that this meant that her mother was back to normal again. They got lunch together, did a bit of shopping. It was real bonding, and normalcy, that Aurora hadn't felt for years. She clung to this strength, silently wishing and praying that the day would never end. Driving home, however, it was rainy-- too rainy.

The worst thing happened. Perhaps it partially a fluke, or partially June's reality beginning to slip again, but the car sped out of control. It was a nasty, nearly fatal wreck. June and Aurora were taken to the hospital immediately-- but June died as soon as they'd arrived. Aurora was heavily hurt, her back cut up by glass from the back window, and when she came to full consciousness about two days later, she was surprised to see her father-- but worst of all, to learn that her mother had died.

This destroyed Rory's sense of self. She crumpled inward, falling into a deep depression. After she was taken home by her father, who made it clear that he'd only be able to stay for a few weeks, unfortunately, before being carted off for work. The idea of leaving his teenage daughter home, alone, after the loss of her mother hurt Rick, but he was a man of duty just as much as he was a man of family. It was confidential. She couldn't come with him.

Though, most of those weeks Rory spent in her room. She began to draw, though she'd already become a bit of a prodigy over the years, and started to spend her hours on the computer. It was rest for her, healing from her wounds, and she found a passion in it. It was something to through herself into, and with the prospect of being alone for some time, she figured she needed to do something with her life to busy herself. She committed herself to catching up in her classes, pushing forward with applications to schools that could support her major of choice, Graphic Design, and finally felt like her life was in her own control.

However, sometime after Rick finally left, there were a bunch of her mother's things from her office, including some archaic artifacts and containers. Rory was brought to tears at the sight of these, reminded of her mother, and it was the sight of one of the objects that gave her pause. It was a sword, rusted and brittle with age, that when Rory grabbed, snapped in half at the centre. The result was a rush of energy, mixtures of blue and yellow in her sight, and the inhaling of something. She had no idea what it was, and thinking it some deadly fumes from an ancient artifact (and having learned from her mother that those were very dangerous) she'd gone to the bathroom to try and flush it out of her eyes. Looking in the mirror, however, she was disturbed to see an unfamiliar woman staring back.

The deity did not reveal its name, perhaps knowing that there was some element of control to it if she knew her name-- and simply opted to go by the title of Enchantress, at Aurora's questioning if this was the same creature that had possessed her mother so long ago. After the initial incident, there was no split consciousness for herself and the Enchantress, but Aurora was disturbingly aware of the fact that she was not alone in her body. Wanting to phone her father, she was oddly persuaded that there was little hope against it-- that he would be reminded of his ex, now dead, wife and it would only fuel the separation between Aurora and her father.

It seemed to be enough for Aurora, and she quietly returned to her room.

Though, after one or two transformations into the Enchantress, it was made clear that the entity had other purposes in the world. She wanted victory and justice in a world with so much depravity; Gotham was the heart of it. With recent events that had nearly upset the entire balance of the world, this seemed to set off Enchantress even more. Though Aurora was clearly in control of her own body when awake, it was when she was asleep that her unconscious betrayed her. At night, the Enchantress would seek to roam-- to deal her own dispensing of justice. Cutting, slashing, slicing devils and villains among men. Aurora's intervention, upon waking up to find blood and dirt in her bed, was to try and dissuade any ventures out into the world at night.

It's been keeping the girl up, and while she's managed to get into the University of her dreams, with plenty of allowance sent by her dad to try and live somewhat reasonably, the temptation of wielding this power to bide her time, lingers in Rory's mind. She's managed to keep her own desperation at bay, but it's clear that she's slipping. Her own mental health has been suffering for as long as she's had the entity, five years or so now, and her own therapist was unable to fully help Rory.

Each day is a little death. It is a little harder to keep this Enchantress, fully, at bay. She is afraid of what happens if she lets her out.

history
Born the daughter of a Marine, she was raised in a working class neighborhood with barely passing grades. She joined the Marines first chance she had, being criticized for being a women in the military. She was deployed to Iraq, where she immediately met with adversity, but overcame this with her fellow soldiers through a shared love of music. They bonded over this, and she earned respect from them. One week before returning home her Humvee ran over a IED. The whole squad was killed instantly, but she was in the open turret and was thrown into the air. "Miraculously" she had survived. When she returned home she became haunted by what had happened, and when she couldn't find any work, she redeployed. She was the head of a squad now, and her second tour was uneventful save for a few firefights, in which she excelled and was awarded a bronze. She came home, decided to turn her life around. She went to the Police Academy and joined the GCPD. She is now SWAT certified and a Supervisor. Her first observation of a miscarriage of justice was when a mobster who murdered a girl bought off the jury. It was here she learned the hard truth og Gotham. The man washed up in the Gotham river two days later, badly beaten and shot. She was assigned to the case, and could not locate any evidence. Such incidents like this became common place for the next two years, and she became head of the investigation, unable to find any leads. The person responsible was described as "A Ghost", and one man called the vigilante "A person of war".

    JC generally lives by an ‘every man for himself’ policy. He is a complete cynic, firm in his belief that the world is full of selfish people and prioritises his own goals and objectives over everything. However, that does not mean he will not work with anyone and operates solely as a lone wolf. If your goals align or you are useful to his purposes, he will work with you but if he feels that you are getting in the way of his objectives or holding him back somehow, JC won't hesitate to cut ties when he can. He despises the thought of someone hindering him from obtaining his objectives and desires.

    He does not have a sadistic streak nor does he have a cruel personality but he can be pretty cold and ruthless when he believes that being that way is of value to him, prizing efficiency, and will choose what he believes to be the most efficient and effective method available at his disposal even if it might be the most ruthless or abrasive one. While some people might perceive him as having a few screws lose because he will readily shoot someone if he believes it to be the most efficient means of achieving his objectives or doing something similar, JC is following his own brand of logic and perceives himself as a completely rational individual, unaffected and unencumbered by useless distractions such as emotions. He doesn't care for the emotions and feelings of other people, whether they are happy or miserable, unless those emotions benefited him in some way and in such cases, will turn on the charm or use his intelligence to try and manipulate them using their emotions for his purposes. He believes that it is because he does not really feed into his emotions or allow them to rule him in any way that he can maintain an impeccable level of calm.

    JC is a very meticulous individual, valuing precision and keeping a firm eye on the details. He detests it when people behave emotionally seeing it as irrational behavior and clouding their judgement. JC judges the worth of everything around him in relation to himself and whether it benefits him, considering little else, as such he can be pretty much convinced to take any deal so long as one can persuade him that it is of value to him. With this in mind, it should be noted that JC is loyal to no one but himself, often explaining it away as that he has simply never found anyone worthy of his loyalty even though he has encountered several in his life time he has considered worthy of his respect. To those he considers worthy of his respect, JC treats them with more of it and is polite, more willing to pay them mind and have more patience and tolerance when the situation involves them.

    As a youth he would do whatever it took to achieve his goals and pick whatever benefited him. While he still picks what he believes to be the most effective method to getting things done, now that he is older he would rather choose the less messy and violent route if possible because he detests mess and having to clean up in the aftermath of the violence. JC despises weakness and vulnerability, he doesn't like the idea of people getting a hand on his weaknesses and he fears being killed because he sees it as the ultimate sign of weakness and the possibility of being killed brings him back to his weakest moments living as a child with his father where the threat of death was a constant that could occur at any moment. His attention can be easily captured by anything that tickles his curiosity and in such instances, he is likely to set aside his focus on whether it is beneficial to him and efficiency to satiate his curiosity, becoming much more amenable and attentive.

    A proud fellow, he generally fancies himself as being one step ahead of everyone else and tends to look down on others for what he perceives as their stupidity and lack of judgement. Until their capabilities are proven, he trusts no one to get the job done but once he knows they can be counted on, he will rely on and trust them to do that job if nothing else just as he did with Batman and believing he could handle the criminals of Gotham city. However, such individuals are few and far between as JC takes a long time to come to put such trust in others. JC doesn't really have a sense of justice per se, it's a dog eat dog out world, if you can't survive the difficulties and hardships, sure the lack of justice and protection plays a part in it, but he believes it's really because you just weren't strong enough to protect yourself. He doesn't really care if other people suffer so long as it isn't him, and while he himself doesn't really have a sense of justice, he has found value in those who do ever since he came to view peace and the eradication of villains as beneficial to him and his objectives, since they would help take care of such villains. However, after the death of Batman and the subsequent rise in criminal activity and prison breaks, JC's lack of belief in the capability of law enforcement and other vigilantes to keep the peace in Gotham was reinforced. His view that they cannot be counted on to do their job along with his cautious nature that often has him preempting and trying to prevent unwanted situation from happening, has led him to start taking matters into his own hands and eliminate criminals and trouble before they find him first. You want a job done right, you do it yourself.
