History:
Diego grew up in a good home in Castelia City. Being next to one of the greatest resources of ancient knowledge within Unova, he often traveled the desert alongside his father. He absolutely loved his son's adoration for the history of Unova and its Pokemon, and was even more interested by the strange stories his son would make based off the old ruins and their guardians. With all this support in mind he pushed forward in his studies and quickly made it to being top of his class, he never lost his direction, he always strove to one day become an archaeologist and historian so he could continue doing what he loved. This all came to a crashing halt when he entered high school, his drive became less and less as it seemed more and more of those around him favored training and the more "serious" fields of Pokemon study and ridiculed his dreams for their lack of viability in the "real world". He lost motivation in just about everything, projects he had long worked on, friendships he had grown attached to, all broke down after this crash. He graduated if just barely, he never focused on furthering his education after this so instead he returned home and in a last ditch effort to find something to motivate him he returned to the deserts he adored in his youth. A year spent at home simply rekindling the fun he once had in the deserts also led him to finding internet forums where others discussed Pokemon, theories, myths, legends, news, conspiracies and all sorts of things that interested him. With his fire reignited he got straight back to work, soon joining a research company as a secretary and through perseverance, passion, and a willingness to take a promotion with no increase in pay, he advanced up to a research assistant. Mainly helping out the company in their office by organizing collected electronic data, analyzing artifacts, and occasionally being allowed to work in the field. Diego was deadset on coming to the region after he heard about the disappearance of the S.S. Libre and the general isolation of Orre, believing it to be a potential gold mine of untapped mythos and Pokemon legends. Not to mention that his little conspiracy theorist's heart just couldn't let got the opportunity to come to a region with a mysterious disappearance. So with some long talks with his superiors, he eventually got approval to go to the region under the condition that he provide thorough results on the region's history, not simply goof around and focus on one thing.

History:
•Wren had always wanted to be a trainer to feel the rush of battle and journey along side his Pokémon team. When Wren was only four years old both his parents were killed by an avalanche the two adults using their own bodies to protect their son. After the avalanche had struck Wren and his parents were buried under the snow. The only reason Wren hadn’t been killed was due to his parents shielding him long enough to push him into a small cave/crevice where the snow couldn’t crush his small body. Once the snow settled the cold began sinking into Wren’s small body he called out desperately for his parents until his little voice finally gave out. Not knowing what to do Wren curled into a tiny ball and wished for his parents to be with him. His little eyes began closing as the cold started to settle into his bones his tiny body not able to survive the freezing temperatures. Wren’s body was shutting down his little hand reached out once more for his parents when a sudden noise started being heard. It was a faint sound of scrabbling and what sounded like voices. The next hour passed in a blur Wren was in and out of consciousness the only thing he remembered was seeing a tiny blue paw poking through the snow. Several days had passed and that’s when Wren learned the truth. His parents had been killed protecting him and he would have died along with them had it not been for a Pokémon professor out doing research and a riolu. The riolu was the real hero having seen the accident it had rushed over as fast as it could and began digging into the snow. That’s what grabbed the professors attention seeing the Rilou scrabbling so frantically in the snow. The two had managed to dig until they came upon Wren’s deceased parents the professor had knelt down sadly then watched as the Rilou dived head first into the snow continuing to scramble down until his paw poked through the cave Wren was in. After everything and Wren had healed the man who had helped saved him took him in. The professor had tried his best and did his best to be there for Wren. At first Wren was resentful, angry, hurt it wasn’t easy for a little boy to lose his parents. The only comfort he had was the Rilou who did its best to play and make Wren happy. There were also all the Pokémon in the lab who he was able to play with and learn about. As the years passed Wren became more serious and studious wanting to be like his adoptive father. He had taken the Rilou as a partner was he was of age. The two began their journey together to make Wren a professor where eventually they reached their goal. Now Wren travels the world learning all he can about Pokémon along side his trusted partner Lux and the many other Pokémon who’s become his family.
Reason for Coming to Orre:
•He is a Pokémon professor so he wants to know all he can. When he caught wind of Orre he decided to travel there to study the habitats, pokemon, and plant life. He also is a bit of an adventure at heart.

-He was disenfranchised with his life for a long time, but what eventually spurred him to leave was to help his childhood friend Stasia.
-Really, really loves Pokemon so much. Treats his so well and spoils them relentlessly. Would always stop to help a Pokemon in need if he found one.
-Just wholesome in general. The type to help old ladies with their groceries.
-Seems intimidating and kinda standoffish when you first meet him but that's mostly just because he's just keeps to himself.
-An observer, he's good at noticing small details in things and reading people too.

Julien doesn't remember how he ended up with Unown, but it's the pokemon he's had for the longest. Something about it seems to click for him, possibly it's calmness in contrast to his own more frenetic nature, or the fact he is unable to affect it with his move deletion. It's not known what roused it, but this particular Gyarados wrecked havoc north of Mahogany town in the Lake Of Rage before it could eventually be captured. Proving uncontrollable to successive trainers it was eventually given to Julien's reluctant care. The Move Deleter removed it's wrathful memories and pacified it's moves but he is uneasy of it.
