    In a modern world, where royalty grows to hold far less power until they simply become figureheads, royal families must learn to adapt. Ancient customs and strange ritual must be thrown out for more modern sensibilities, and royal children must be taught the ways of the changing world and not be kept in their traditional homes.
    
    In this time, many royal families opt to send their children--usually those who won't be crowned anything more than a prince or a princess--to private schools, instead of getting them tutors and sheltering them to the outside world. But, the question becomes, what school is fit for royalty?
    
    Hawthorpe Academy is a private school in England founded on the sensibilities of nobility, and now it has become home to an increasing number of royal children. Aside from a few scholarship kids, every student at Hawthorpe is of noble upbringing. The school's stellar reputation, amazing academics, and notable alumni make it the perfect place to send royalty.

    Basically this rp takes place at a modern school where the majority of students are nobility and royalty. The drama of school will be heightened with the added drama of politics, and many of the royal students are constantly being followed by the press. Additionally, there will be some scholarship kids who aren't from noble ranks and will have to climb into the strange world of royalty.

    Hawthorpe Academy is housed in an abandoned castle that has been renovated into a school. The classrooms are all old bedrooms and studies, and the dormitories are built for royalty to begin with. The school is surrounded by wilderness and is only accessible by train ride.
    
    At the base of the dormitory tower is a common room where students can convene and spend time together. Each floor above contains a set of dorm rooms. Each student will stay in a dorm with one other student. (these pairings can be decided on the plotting thread.     i. don't worry, you don't have to be an expert on the politics and the history of a country to make a character from there. you can take a loose interpertation of world history lmao
    ii. diversity of all forms is encouraged! bigotry won't be tolerated~
    iii. only one scholarship student per person, i want the majority of characters to be royalty/nobility
