Corinna Lorelai Mikhail
Mythology Major
Standing in her hospital bathroom at 6:00 in the morning, gingerly pulling the one outfit that had survived the collapse of Dolgas Academy on over her bruised body, Corinna could scarcely believe the events of the last twenty-four hours. Yesterday had started out as just another normal day. It had been a little dark and overcast outside, but nothing to indicate the caliber of the storm that had wracked the school that afternoon. Corinna had been in her room on the first floor when the building started shaking, reading through one of her many mythology books from her beloved collection. This one was a consolidation of the many myths and legends regarding the origin of vampires, and one of her favorites. Her absolute favorite was her personally assembled consolidation of werewolf myths, but then again, last week it had been her book on merfolk, so she wasn’t sure she could safely determine a number one favorite.

When the building started to shake, Corinna had gotten up, unsure whether to try and leave the building or hide beneath something solid and try to protect herself. Her decision was made for her, however, when her ceiling began to collapsed. Scared to death she was going to be crushed, Corinna had dove underneath her desk and curled her body into tiny ball, covering her head with her arms as her school crumbled around her. She stayed that way even as the shaking stopped and the rubble settled, knowing she was trapped until they moved the rubble from over top of her. She remained trapped beneath the desk, ignoring the pain from the long, deep gash in her arm and the many bruises from the rubble, for nearly seven and a half hours before they got her out. By the time she was transported to the hospital, it was nearly two in the morning, and she was exhausted. She’d barely stayed conscious long enough for the doctor to dress her wound before she fell asleep on the bed in her hospital room.

When she woke, and discovered she and the other students that had stayed for winter break had been invited to stay at Valendor, she’d been shocked. She felt as though she were not near rich enough to be offered even an inch of space in such a prestigious place. She’d gotten up quickly, leading her to where she now stood before the hospital bathroom mirror, changing into a gray t-shirt, dark gray leggings, white sneakers, a pink winter coat, and her favorite gray beanie with a pink poof ball on top. This was the only outfit that had survived the storm, and the only thing she had left to her name. All of her other possessions had been lost to the rubble of Dolgas Academy. Sighing, Corinna settled her dark brown hair around her shoulders and left the bathroom, heading downstairs to wait out front for the black Mercedes town cars she’d been told would be driving her and the other students to Valendor. Still tired, Corinna yawned as she waited, hoping she’d have a chance to get more sleep on the ride there.

She didn’t say much to the other students as she waited for the cars. She hadn’t had a chance to get particularly close to any of them despite being at Dolgas for quite awhile now, so she wasn’t sure what she would have said if he did talk to them. When the cars arrived, Corinna let her driver to help her into the backseat of the town car. She fell asleep almost instantly, still exhausted from her journey, and remained that way for the entire ride. When she opened her eyes, there passing through the gates to Valendor. She sat up in her seat, rubbing the sleep from her eyes as she looked out the window, waiting for the school to come into view. She had heard stories, but nothing could have prepared her for how beautiful—how breathtaking—it was. The school was enormous, and Corinna knew it must have been a castle in its early days. She wondered if there were any myths or legends tied to this place, and who had lived here before it became a school. She wondered if the place had any hidden secrets she could discover.

With a wide smile gracing her lips, Corinna eagerly waited for the car to stop, jumping out onto the drive as soon as it did. She watched as a tall, shirtless guy approached Haven and carried her bags into the school while another, much bigger guy who reminded Corinna of the Hulk minus the green part did the same thing for Esmeralda. She watched Finn head into the school with a wrist brace covering it, followed by Aiden, Dexter, and Kathryne. Corinna stayed outside, just admiring the architecture of the building for another several seconds before she hurried inside. Silently observing everyone else, Corinna made her way to an empty chair at the dining room table and made herself a plate with pancakes, eggs, and bacon. She ate slowly, listening to the friendly chatter around her. Part of her wished she had made more of an effort to make friends at Dolgas when she got there, but the sociable part of her remembered she could handle doing it whenever, and she continued eating. She waited until everyone was done with the roommate list before she picked it up, scanning for her name.

When she noticed her name written next to Aiden Rosewood’s, she smiled. She was happy she’d gotten someone from Dolgas who she recognized as her roommates. She may not be friends with the guy, or anything, but at least he wasn’t some overtly wealthy kid from Valendor whom she had no experience with. Finishing her food, she looked around, searching for Aiden. When she found him completely mesmerized by the Headmistress, she rolled her eyes with a chuckle and focused on the rest of the room, noticing a lot of the students were helping outside for a snowball fight. Eager to make new friends and get the most out of her time at Valendor, Corinna stood and followed them out, trying to pick a team. Eventually, she decided that joining the team led by the enormous guy with the pet bear cub was the safest bet for someone as clumsy as she was. This way, if she fell, he could pick her up, and she could use him as a human field.

Walking up to the guy as he stood strategizing with the team he’d already assembled, Corinna offered him and the people around a bright, friendly smile.
“Mind if I join your team?” she asked.

Wilhelmina Day

Wilhelmina's black eyes squinted a little as Isaac complimented her. She couldn't exactly tell if he was being genuine but her gut told her he probably wasn't. Still she just shrugged. "Thanks, I guess." And that was that. She assumed she was right about her assumption of him earlier and wished she hadn't even made the effort to introduce herself.

When asked if she was coming along outside she didn't even get the chance to protest before being dragged out along with the human girl. Haven? Yes that's her name. And the cat. She was definitely not thrilled about this. Not because she didn't want to. It was just doing anything with her hands around the humans would not be a good idea. She stood on the steps watching everyone flock out. A chill started to creep up on her. She was use to the cold, her colony spent most of it's time in colder waters but that doesn't mean she enjoyed it.

The grip on the edge of her coat sleeves tightened when she spotted Cynder's display. Well she certainly wasn't going to do anything about it. Not her problem. Plus it seemed everyone else already jumped on the opportunity to 'fix' it. But it did seem to disturb his roommate which was a little funny. She chuckled then cleared her throat. "Well uh, I'm heading back to the greenhouse." She said to no one in particular. Her brain raced for a moment trying to think of something. "I still have some...stuff to clean up from this morning. You guys have fun through." She lied as she then turned on her heels and started walking.

"Yeah!" Cynder quickly tried to think of something to go along with the excuse Bran had thankfully come up with. "It was a limited edition KMCxHello Kitty t-shirt, It cost me like fifty dollars to replace!" He pretended to pout and crossed his arms. His face now red with embarrassment.

When Bran lifted him up he froze. "Hey!" He almost hissed but snapped his mouth shut from the look that Bran gave him and quickly nodded his head. "No harm done." He knew Bran probably would never actually hurt him but the larger man was still intimidating.

Cynder quickly ran across to where Aleksi had stated their fort would be and turned back to give an awkward smile to Haven and a 'over here' wave. He hoped he hadn't totally ruined the nice introduction they had. He quickly started preparing snowballs leaving them in a neat pile. Silently cursing how cold it was and about not having gloves as he did. He wasn't exactly good at throwing but he could keep the other stocked on snowballs while they did the work.

Haven Mitchelson

What had started as Haven pulling Cynder toward the front doors had become Cynder dragging Haven outside. The cold air hit her and she took a minute to take in the scenery, (honestly, it was gorgeous outside, after getting settled in she'd have to find time to go take some pictures) before getting distracted by the sight of her roommate attempting to murder a group of birds. He'd crouched low to the ground, in a way that seemed kind of cat-like to Haven, and pounced on the birds, missing them by an inch or so. Haven shot an extremely confused stare at the back of Cynder's head, what the hell was going on?

Suddenly Bran spoke up to explain the situation, saying that Cynder was seeking revenge on the birds for the destruction of his shirt. Aleksi quickly backed up the story. The Valendor students made it seem like fairly typical behavior for Cynder, so, Haven accepted it, but even so, it was, well, she couldn't say it wasn't weird. He was certainly enthusiastic in his quest for revenge. At least her stay here definitely wasn't going to be boring.

She turned as Wilma spoke up behind her to say she wasn't going to participate in the snowball fight. "Oh well, if you're sure. We'll have to meet back up later though!", she said, now looking over to the area deemed their team's fort, in time to see Isaac vault over a wall practically as tall as she was. At least the wall would provide a shield, one that would hopefully prevent her from becoming a human snow pile.

After seeing Cynder's, slightly awkward, wave, Haven bounded over to where he stood behind the fort. "Sorry about your shirt Cynder, you'll get 'em one day", she said with a laugh. Haven then turned her attention to helping Cynder form snowballs in a pile, thanking her past self for deciding to wear gloves and waiting for the match to start.

Finnley Walker
Location: Courtyard / Interactions: Bran ( Veil Walker Veil Walker )
Finn chuckled as they watched Aleksi make a 'spontaneous snow angel'. How Aleksi could do that shirtless and not seem even the slightest bit uncomfortable was beyond them. Whatever made him happy, they supposed. It did seem like a lot of fun... but, before they could make the (admittedly not well thought out) decision to follow suit, his attention was drawn by a sudden movement off to his left. Finn's eyes flickered toward it, only to find Cynder, who was apparently pigeon hunting. Haven's roommate, he decided, was a bit odd.
In fact, most of the students here seemed a bit odd. Swords, bear cubs, and pigeons all considered. That was alright, though. Odd meant interesting, and Finn loved interesting. Interesting was what fueled him. There was no doubt in their mind that they would soon learn more of the stranger parts of Valendor (either by their own action or that of others), but -as much as they wanted to release the avalanche of questions they had about the school and it's inhabitants- there would be time for that later.
Now was the time for war. With a lopsided grin on his face, he lobbed a snowball in Bran's direction and took off sprinting toward the nearby wall. Skidding to a stop before the line of brick (and narrowly avoiding slamming face-first into it), Finn clutched at the top edge -which reached up to about his nose- with his good arm. Scrambling awkwardly, they managed to swing their legs over to the other side. They froze for a moment, hovering just at the top. The texture of worn brick on their fingers again sent a chill down their spine. But it was only a wall, they reminded themself. An intact wall that was nowhere close to collapsing.
Still, when he dropped down beside his teammate, Finn noticed himself taking a few steps back. This, he told himself, was because there was more snow there, and certainly not because he didn't want to so much as brush brick again.
It occurred to him, after seeing Haven walk casually into their makeshift fort, that climbing it was perhaps unnecessary. Oh well. Climbing was fun, Finn thought. However, he couldn't deny the slight way his shoulders relaxed at the realization that he wouldn't have to hop the wall on his way out.

Hannicus Greencoast: The Doom That Came to Samath

Hannicus laughed at Selena's jab. 'Well, my blood wouldn't create more 'n a puddle for her. You know what they say about us literature students- all made of books.' The crummy, but well, visually flashy, banner was now mostly up, and had drawn the attention of a number of students.

"You know Hanni, this would really pop if you added some glitter to it!".

Would it, I wonder? Well, Hannicus was an Arts student, but he was no Arts student, so he was just going to take Selena's word for it. Besides, it couldn't possibly hurt his poster at this point. 'Sure, go right ahead!' Hannicus answered cheerfully. Still, he felt as though he was committing something quote heretical as he sprinkled gold and green glitter upon Dagon's visage. He could almost hear Cthulhu's reproaching whispers in his subconscious...though, then again, he would welcome any sort of divine sign at this point.

'What is the Pastafarian Society?' The friendly girl called Esmeralda Torres, apparently Selena's roommate appeared to have taken interest, and Selena had also inquired as to the nature of his grand mission. Well, she seemed the open sort than that Nicolas fellow, which was always good when it came to club recruitment.

'Ah, you are curious. Allow me then to elaborate. Name's Hannicus, president of the Pastafarian Society.' At this point, it would probably be wise for an evangelist to ease Esmeralda into the subject, especially regarding a faith of such esoterism. Hannicus Greencoast was, sadly, not known for his wisdom.

'Have you ever wondered why we often feel so empty inside, despite all that we attempt to do to satiate ourselves? Have you ever given thought to our place in the universe,, where we as a species stand in all of this, 7 billion souls to match the 7 trillion stars?' That usually has more oomph at night. 'Well, truth be told noone knows all the answers- that's why we are studying here, heh. But even so, why do we so wilfully separate ourselves from wisdom?"

'You see-' Hannicus produced a pencil from his back pocket, and scribbled. '- too long has humanity been separated from the guiding arms of our Precursors. We rule the Earth now, but how could we? We are not the first, nor shall we be the last, nor are we the only ones in the vast reaches of space....'

Truth be told, hanging around the fantastic folk of Valendor had dulled Hannicus' instincts. While the majority of students here fell unfortunately into the non-believer camp, being lycans and dragons and fae tended to at least allow consideration to the sovereignty of a great tentacled Other in the outer heavens. Some like Sam had even acknowledged the existence of the sunken continent of R'lyeh, though elaborating further that 'it ain't shit'.

'In the beginning, there was the One- the great sleeping heart of the universe, the Primordial Chaos- Azathoth. He is at once nowhere, yet everywhere. He is chaos, but what is chaos if not change? It was this primal chaos that is Azathoth that has created all form in the universe. As his slumber maintains the motion of the universe, yet still is his might and magic felt everywhere through the extension of his soul, singularly terrible and awesome. For that is Yog-Sothoth, the All-in-One and One-in-All, the one at the beginning and the end. He is time and space itself, the one even the Old Ones bow to. These Old Ones danced the stars in worship of the All-Father and his Soul, and all was in state of harmonious chaos.'

'And so the universe fell to debauchery- we see this in the fate of the Elder Things of Antarctica, and the Mi-Go of Yuggoth. But there is hope- for Azathoth had a son. Nyarlathotep descended to Earth- and a million words other- from the Great Miasma. Nyarlthotep had powers beyond comprehending, but took the form of Man such that he might once more enlighten those of Earth, unleashing with the slumbering Old Ones a new golden age unto the galaxy.'

He turned back to Selena and Esmeralda. 'Well, keepin' up so far?'

Aleksi Valdir
Beta of the Eryna pack

Aleksi couldn't help but to tense for a second when Isaac refered to him as Alpha. He knew it was an usual human thing to do, but for him, as a lycan, with a pack mentality... "Beta... We are Team Beta," he said quickly. It just felt wrong to be refered to as Alpha. He never had any ambitions to take the leader spot, he was rather content as being the beta of the pack. Besides, he wouldn't have the burden of producing a heir, which was simply not gonna happen with his sexuality. Things were still a bit old fashioned like that, back in Eryna, though he was fairly well accepted.

"Show off," Aleksi mumbled under his breath. He shook his head a bit when Isaac so careless and effortless jumped over the wall. He noticed the first snowball being throwin in Brans direction, before Finnley ran off towards the wall. "Hey!" he called out alerted. That wall was far too high and he was injured! Yet before he was at the wall the human had already found his way on top and over it. "You okay?" he asked with a slight concerned expression towards his roommate as he had noticed that slight change in attitude and heartbeat. He was now looking down at him from sitting up on the wall in a crouch while Haven joined their little fort as well. The only one being smart enough to go around the wall.

Aleksi watched Cynder starting on their snowball pile, while Wilma declared not to join them. His head turned toward the shy female, they never had much interaction. "Hey, Wilma, are you sure?" he asked as he finally had gotten down from that wall. He quickly looked over the teams. He had Cynder, Isaac, Haven and Finnley on his. While Bran had Dexter, Kathryne and Corinna? If he was correct on their names... "I am sure Bran wouldn't mind having you on his team, so we are even numbered," he grinned brightly. He just wanted everyone to have fun. Even though things were still very much off balance into his team advantage. He reached for one of the snowballs and sent it flying, heading with great precision for his best friends face. "Got another one for you, Bran!" he called out. He gently gave Wilma a soft push towards the forest edge that Bran had declared his fort. "Go on. It will be fun," he said with a friendly encouraging smile.

It was only after he had send her on her way that he quickly made his way back. Jumping over the wall as it was nothing, very much the same as he had accused Isaac of being a show off for. "Flanks, you said?" The lycan looked over to the clearly vulnerable places, but gave a little shrug, though of course he was very much aware of the problem. "You take the left side, I take the right then," he said, "knowing Bran he probably will go for the left flank first. But he knows I know him, so perhaps he will go for the right this time. Then again, the humans will most likely just go for a direct charge." He sighed, as he rolled his eyes at them taking this all way too serious. It was just a fun snowball fight.

Azuris
Young Prince of Nilmehona

Azuris looked at the fox, very much not impressed in the little one sided rant he went off to. He scoffed as he was told not to use the nickname, before the other actually had the audicity to set up rules in his room. Mori would just be a temporarily guest there after all. He glanced over towards Hannicus and Selena discussing the use of glitter on the banner. Yet he kept his judgement to himself, while the poor timid girl asked about the society. He had heard many many of those monologues from the male. Or at least, the other was just talking each time he decided to come up, for underwater the voice was mostly drowned out.

The merman looked back at his new room. "Good luck with that, I promise you will break a nail before you do me any harm, Vulpix." He emphasized the use of the wretched nickname now, as a hint of amused smile played over his face. "And get down from your high horse, you ain't that cute..." he added. Though only now truly looking the other over. Nope, nothing cute about him. Though... he was.... He scoffed. Nope, nothing cute, he could see. He let out a deep sigh. "Let's get your stuff then, so we can get you sorted out in my room," he said. Honestly, he knew it could have been a lot worse than having the kitsune stay in his room. Besides, it seemed that most likely the fox would be avoiding him and the room anyway. So he shouldn't complain that much... But what else was he gonna do? Be friendly?

Azuris made his way slowly out of the diner room. Not really caring for whether or not Mori was following. He looked over the bags that stood around in the hallway, all from the humans most likely. "Just tell me if you need help or anything," he said over his shoulder. Still not checking if his roommate had followed him out or not as he went over towards the stairs that would eventually lead up to the second floor where their room would be. Even if he put up a harsh, distant front, his offer to help and get the other settled was genuine. And if he were really honest, he may even be looking slightly forward to spend the room with another being that was older than a century. If only out of curiosity to understand how a Kitsune lived. "I won't splash you by the way," he said all of a sudden. He could be considerate of boundaries. Though he would not give up on calling the other Vulpix, not until he had found an equally satisfying alternative.

Esmeralda Torres
The friendly cook

Esmee perked up at the thought of being shown the kitchen. Honestly that was the only thing she needed to be shown, she would find her way around the rest of the buildings eventually. And perhaps the room she would sleep of course, it would be nice to know how that looked as well. She had no idea what to expect from Selena, decoration wise. Somehow she was expecting some soft pink. "Ah, yes, I would love to open a restaurant one day," she said, "but I am also looking into the possiblity to have a restaurant that moves around. So I can stay travel and see the world as well and truly learn about the different cuisines." In her opinion there went nothing over getting experience from the actual local people of a cuisine, rather than through classes given by professionals.

Selena was given the go-ahead for adding glitter and while the male introduced himself as Hannicus, oppose to Hanni. She blushed a bit at the mere idea of wanting to call him Hanni, obviously that was reserved for good friends. Or perhaps more? Selene and Hannicus seemed to match really well. She blinked her eyes when Hannicus spoke more and she realized he was answering the question she had asked. She mumbled a quick sorry, but the other didn't seem to be bother. Or perhaps he was used to not truly being listened to, which was actually a bit sad. She tried to give him her honest attention, which she did, but with all the names he suddenly started mentioning, she couldn't help but to get lost rather quickly.

Not only that, Hannicus just kept on going about them, she assumed some sort of Gods? Couldn't they have been given some easier names? That would make it a lot easier to keep up probably. Finally his monologue about how humanity came to be, or she assumed it was about that, came to an end. "They... They... have some difficult names," she said with a very soft tone. She did not want to seem disrespectful or to offend him in anyway. People could be rather... fanatic in their religions, and though Hannicus looked like a sweet and nice guy, she also had the feeling he was very fanatic about his faith. "Do you...perhaps have something that I could read about it?" she asked, as she wanted to make at least an effort to understand it all.

It was then that the headmistress suddenly spoke up from the other side of the room. Apparently Aiden had requested a tour of the building as well. Right as Selena came back over as well. "Oh, I don't mind going on a tour all together," she said. It would be silly to just walk after each other, right? She looked at the parasol her roommate suddenly opened up, before opening up the doors. She glanced towards the snowballs that were flying towards the big male in specific. "Ah, yes! Of course," she said as she was quick to catch up with the other female again.

Isaac nodded and smiled. A chance to mess around with Bran would be welcome. Who knows, maybe it would progress to an actual fight. Isaac rubbed his hands together in anticipation. As soon as Aleksi threw the snowball, Isaac knew it was game on. He looked down from the wall he was currently perched on, his eyes focusing on Haven. "Hey, pretty girl!" he called to her with a smirk, "watch this." Isaac looked forward before performing a front flip, landing onto a roll. Another effortless move. He took of running almost instantly, gaining ground very fast. What the others may not have seen was on his little show off trick, during the roll he had scooped up snow in one of his hands. The movement was so quick that you probably wouldn't have seen it.

Isaac moved left, running beside some bushes. He decided to tone the speed and theatrics down a bit, he was meant to be a normal human in front of the Dolgas students right? And running at the speed of a car wasn't exactly helping the facade. He stopped a short ways from the other team and cocked his right arm back and sent the snow barrelling toward a student on the other team, a brunette girl that was dwarfed beside Bran and was quite good looking although that didn't stop Isaac. Isaac had very good aim and maybe he threw it a little too hard but he hoped the snow hit the desired target. Isaac knew the big man could care less if he got hit by snow but maybe a human on his team getting pelted would provoke him? Isaac breathed in the cold air and was already picking up more snow, not waiting around to see if the snowball hit his target. Always keep on the move, that's what he was taught. If you stand still, you die. You stop for a fraction of a second and that gives your opponent an advantage. Isaac pushed the thoughts out of his head as he continued his left flank.

Selena
Esmeralda's dream to travel the world to sample cuisines sounded wonderful to Selena. Her whole life, up until recently, her parents had kept her sheltered away like the stereotypical recluse vampire they hoped she would become. She rarely left the family estate, let alone got the chance to see different countries. The closest she came to seeing abroad was when she watched documentaries and reality TV shows. The thought of traveling the world and learning from others sounded like the adventure of a lifetime, and Selena smiled at the thought. She hoped her new roommate would get to live out her dreams come graduation.

As for Hannicus's explanation of his beliefs, it sounded very...sad. The talk of creation and trying to understand ones origin sounded rather depressing, and honestly a little bit lonely. But, had to have some grain of truth to it. Most religions did. Perhaps Selena would attend one of his meetings, the banner did promise cookies. One couldn't go wrong with cookies. "If I have the time between projects, maybe I can attend one of your meetings." Selena told Hannicus.

Selena had heard Aiden's earlier suggestion of going on campus tour, obviously led by Blackmore, and had chosen to ignore it. Aiden's bootlicking rubbed Selena the wrong way, and she really didn't want to spend any more time around him than she had to. Not to mention, she didn't get along with Blackmore. Tehuri Blackmore was a generally kind and good headmaster, but she was a reminded Selena too much of her own family, and thus how much of a disappointment she was to them.

So when Esmeralda claimed it would be a good idea for all of them to go on the tour together, Selena deflated inside. But, not wanting to let her disappointment show, she plastered a smile on her face and said: "Oh, of course!". Selena already stood outside, and stopped to politely wait for Esmeralda, and the other's if they wished to join. Once together again, Selena began walking towards the horse-shoe of building's that made up the bulk of Valendor's campus. The buildings were old, and held that air of gothic mystery many supernatural beings found themselves drawn to. But, to Esmeralda it probably just looked like your typical historic campus. "First stop is what we call the creative area, its next door to the dorms. That's where the student kitchens are housed!"

As they passed the sports center Selena waved a hand towards the building and said "That is the sports center, you'll find our classmate Isaac there a lot. If you want a more in depth tour of that building, I would ask him or Bran. I personally don't go in there myself." Selena stopped in front of the Creative Area and opened the door for her companion(s). She proceeded to guide Esmeralda through the building since this was where she would probably be spending most of her time. Lastly, she took her roommate to the kitchens. Selena opened the wide doors and let Esmeralda step into the room before speaking. "These are the kitchens! I admit I don't know enough about cooking, but I can tell you the appliances and utensils needed for your art will be nothing short of fantastic!"

Rather than rushing Esmeralda through the room, Selena waited for the human to get a good look at her new classroom. When she was ready, Selena escorted her out of the building and took her directly next door to the dorms. "So, I thought the best next stop would be the dorms. See where you will be living for the time being, and maybe ensure all your belongings arrived." Selena again opened the door for Esmeralda and led her up the stairs and onto the next floor. "Our room is right here." Selena said leading the human towards the door in the back right corner of the hall. Taking her keys out of her bag, Selena slid them into the lock and opened the door to her, now their, room.

"Ta daaaa! Home sweet home!" Selena slid her parasol back into its stand by the door and sat down on the edge of her bed. Half of the room was blank, where her previous roommate, now graduated, had stayed. Selena's half was what she would call an organized mess. Swatches of fabric were draped across nearly every available surface, and two dress mannequins with half finished projects stood in the near her desk where a pink sewing machine was housed. The bed was a mess of soft blankets and pillows every color under the rainbow, all encircled by a thick velvet curtain that Selena could use to block out the sunlight if needed. While on her own, she had just kept the blinds and curtains shut, but now living with another she would have to go back to cocooning herself within her bed during the daytime again.

"If it bother's you I can do some house keeping..." Selena said with her hands folded delicately in her lap. "But, make yourself as comfy as possible! Oh, and Bran got your things to the right room!" Selena hopped off the bed and gestured to Esmeralda's bag at the foot of the empty bed.

Wilhelmina Day

Wilma had just started walking off when Aleksi called after her, she grumbled a little under her breath. "Yeah really it's fine I-" She stopped mid sentence realizing he wasn't actually listening and the decision was already being made for her. With the small nudge she begrudgingly marched off to the other side where her now teammates were gathered. Fine then, if they noticed her hands or not it wasn't her fault. She tried. 'Tried.' Not exactly really hard but screw it. Not like they had a debriefing about keeping everything secret it was kinda just one of those obvious things. But honestly would it be that horrible if they found out? There's what, seven of them? They probably wouldn't even notice considering all the excitement going on. Yeah.

Wilma probably looked odd for the moment starting down at her hands while the fight was just kicking off. It not like she could wear gloves, she continued to internally monologue. The finger holes didn't work with the webbing between her fingers. MITTENS! Wilma almost yelled aloud. The realization visible on her face as it came to her. She'd have to get a pair or two after this. If it went well that is. Again she was probably just over thinking. She did that a lot. She just wanted to be sure and keep everyone safe. Not that anything bad would happen if they found out. Probably. But it did give her an anxious feeling regardless. She shook her head. Enough winding yourself up.

She lifted her head looking back across at the other team. Leaning down to scoop up some snow, packing it into a ball her eyes locked on Aleksi. He pushed her over here. He was being nice trying to include her. No she wouldn't, besides getting a retaliation shot from him would probably knock her off her feet. Her eyes glanced between the rest of them taking too long to decide till Isaac yelled for 'pretty girl' to pay attention to him. That'd be the cats roommate if she'd had to guess. Perfect. With the distraction Wilma throw her arm back and lobbed the snowball towards Haven's direction. "Incoming!" She shouted.

Finn paused, swallowing down any lingering discomfort. "Um- yeah, yeah. I'm fine." He smiled, nodding his head with a bit too much force and absentmindedly flapping his uninjured hand as if to shake something off of it. "Just realized I shouldn't 'a climbed the wall a little too late," He chuckled, rubbing the back of his neck sheepishly as his eyes flickered downward, breaking contact with Aleksi's.
They couldn't help but notice Aleksi's odd wording as he gave directions to Isaac. "The humans...?" Finn hummed, tilting their head at their new friend. "Is that Bran's team's name? What's that make us then? The monsters?" They snickered gently. Isaac's nickname came to mind. Labrador. "Does that make you a werewolf?" They added absentmindedly.
Shrugging away the distraction (and silently deciding that if he were to pick a monster for himself, he'd go with Count Chocula), Finn crouched down and -not bothering to make it into a ball- snatched a handfull of snow. It occurred to him as he scooted behind the bushes that Haven and Cynder were making a snowball pile that he probably could've (probably should've) taken from, but before he could turn around, his gaze caught on an unfamiliar woman.
They were about to lob their pitiful clump of a snowball toward her when they noticed something every so slightly odd. Her eyes were completely black. A medical condition, perhaps? Maybe just a rare gene? Their mind tumbled into the possibilities -would it be rude to ask about them? They were tugged from their thoughts when her shout rang through the air.
Finn crushed his snow tighter in his hand (his hand tingled, the biting cold burning at his fingertips). He stood, his head popping above the bushes, and threw it toward her. "On your left!" He chirped (it was only fair that she get a warning as well).

Dexter Wayans
Fantasy Fanatic
Things were being put in motion much faster than Dexter was expecting. He needed time to assess the situation, the teams, the lay of the land. The battlefield is new and foreign to him yet everyone broke off at the call to action and started acting without preparation. Blasphemous! Dexter was standing idly while the teams went their separate ways. He was taking way too much time to think about what was going on. People were already on the move to flank, attack, and defend. He wasn't sure what his role would be. For some reason or another though, Dexter couldn't help but notice that his new hulking man of a roommate, Bran, seemed to be the focus on his team. Taking an additional moment to consider reasons as to why, it really didn't surprise Dexter. Bran would definitely be the most physically capable of carrying the team to victory. No matter how much he wanted it to be true, Dexter would not be able to compete with such an obvious athlete.

Dexter's gaze narrowed on the onslaught of snowballs being propelled toward his new roommate and friend. Not that he is incapable of taking cover or dodging all of the snowballs on his own, but there was a limit for every person. Dexter had to do something. He raised a fist to his chest then slammed it into his other hand with determination. He knew what he had to do, what the strategy was. Protect the carry. In any team game it was important to keep your win condition safe for as long as possible to have the best chances of ascertaining victory, and this is no different. With not a second more of hesitation, Dexter dashed toward and threw himself in front of the much larger Bran, facing the onslaught and accepting the impending doom that was about to annihilate him. That was a clear miscalculation as Dexter was pelted by many sturdy and speedy snowballs. One struck him true in the noggin and sent him careening to the ground with his lights knocked out.

Mori Asano Eizan
The Thunder Kitsune
If you asked Mori, his requests seemed very reasonable. He realized that he was going to be a guest in Azuris’s room. He realized that the space he was temporarily going to be living in didn’t belong to him, so he wasn’t going to demand that Azuris change anything about it. He wasn’t rude, or selfish. There were definitely some things Mori would like if Azuris changed—such as the enormous saltwater pool surrounding the one dry platform with the bed on it in the center—but he could deal with them. Thus, Mori hadn’t made any outrageous or unfair requests. All he’d asked was that Azuris refrain from calling him Vulpix, as Mori found the name awfully annoying, and that he refrain from splashing the fox when he was peacefully sleep, as waking him from his slumber in such a way was simply rude. They were very reasonable requests, so he expected the merman to simply abide by them.

However, when the merman scoffed, glancing at Hannicus and Selena as they hung the acolyte’s artful religious club poster before proceeding to call Mori by his wretched nickname once more, the fox scowled. An irritated frown pulled down his features for a moment and he popped his last raspberry in his mouth, finishing off his breakfast before he looked back up at Azuris. Mori’s happy-go-lucky mood snapped back into place as he noticed the tiny hint of a smile on the edge of the merman’s lips, a sly grin of his own lighting his features at Azuris’s next comment. Mori whole-heartedly disagreed and by the lingering look Azuris gave him following his comment, the fox was willing to bet there was some part of him that did too. Still grinning, Mori took a moment to look over Azuris. Due to their opposing personalities, Mori had never spent much time around the merman, so he’d never taken the time to really see Azuris. Now that he had, however, he had to admit he liked what he saw. Azuris may have a frigid personality, but his looks were all kinds of fiery.

Mori stood up as Azuris spoke of getting the fox situated in his room and followed the merman out of the dining room, offering a brief wave to anyone still left in the room as he went. His room was located on the same level as Azuris’s was, so it wouldn’t take him long to swing in and grab his things, though he knew by now his decorations had been stripped down to the bare room it had been when Mori claimed it in order to prepare it for the humans that would be moving into it. He missed it already, and seeing it all taken down was only going to make him miss it more, but he needed to pick up his packed duffel bag from the room in order to take it to Azuris’s. Mori was only taking some clothes to Azuris’s room, as there wasn’t space for anything else. Tehuri had assured him that the rest of his belongings would be safely stowed away elsewhere in the school and available for him to access whenever he pleased.

Mori snapped out his thoughts when he heard Azuris offer to help him with his things. Though he didn’t need the help considering it was only one bag, the fox was tempted to say he did just to see if the merman would actually give it. Azuris wasn’t exactly the warm and fuzzy type, so he didn’t usually make an effort to help other people, especially because it meant he actually had to interact with them. Mori, just like all the other students at Valendor, knew that Azuris wasn’t a people person. However, he decided against.
“No, thank you,” he said, smiling appreciatively even though the merman wasn’t looking at him. “I can handle it myself. Just give me a minute to grab my bag from my room.”

The two headed silently up the stairs, where Mori’s bedroom door was one of the first ones at the top of the landing. The fox was just about to open his door and head in to grab his duffel when he heard Azuris speak again. A smile pulled up his lips at the words. At least the merman had agreed to one of his demands. “Thank you, Azuris. I’ll just be a moment,” he said. Opening the door to his room, Mori stepped inside, instantly frowning at the bare state of it. Diverting his focus, the fox picked up his bag from where it rested on the bed and then hurriedly exited the room, pulling the door shut behind him. He offered Azuris a slightly bummed smile, then motioned down the hallway with his free hand.

“Lead the way.”

Haven Mitchelson

Looking over from where she and Cynder had been making snowballs, Haven listened as Aleksi formulated an "attack plan". As Finn quickly pointed out, he'd referred to the other team as "the humans". Weird? Yes, but there had already been a fair share of weird at this school, so Haven brushed it off. She did let out a small laugh at Finn's werewolf comment, she could kinda see it. Of course, though, she was joking.

Her attention was drawn back over to Isaac as he called for "pretty girl" to "watch this". She would have made some retort back if the front flip he'd done hadn't been so smooth. She watched as he ran over to the other team and chucked a snowball at Corinna. Apparently, though, Haven had chosen the wrong moment to keep staring at a guy because, practically the moment she started to turn her gaze back to the other team, a snowball collided with her face. She let out some strange noise that sounded somewhat like an expression of surprise and wiped the snow off of her, now very cold, face. At least that had served as a reminder not to take your eyes off of the other team in a "war zone". She reached down to grab a snowball from the pile they'd made earlier, standing up with the intent to throw it back in the direction of her attacker, before realizing Finn had already done it for her. (What are friends for if not to retaliate against your enemies in a snowball fight?).

Standing up did; however, give her an opportunity to see Dexter throw himself in front of Bran and get knocked down by all the snowballs thrown in that direction. Why he had done that, Haven had no idea, considering Bran was much taller than Dexter, and, for that matter, everyone else here. Deciding someone on their team should check on him, Haven yelled over to the other side, "Hey, is he okay?!"

Tehuri Blackmore
The Ancient Vampire Queen

It probably came to no ones surprise that Selena tried to ignore her, until her roommate accepted the gesture. Tehuri looked at the young female, who took the turn of events gracefully, despite obviously disliking it. It was understandable, her dislike, even though Tehuri let her do as she pleased here at Valendor. And even, in subtle ways, encouraged the female to explorer the world as she wished. Even if she would never understand the choices, she believed that everyone should be granted at least the freedom to make up their own mind, rather than to be constricted in a certain setting. As she knew Selena's parents did. Valendor however was meant to be a safe haven for her students, no matter what their beliefs and choices were. More than once had she made sure that the parents wouldn't come by for a surprise visit, or defended certain choices the young student had made. And what vampire dared to go against the word of one that had outlived more than five millenia? And on top of that was a Vampire Queen? Especially vampires that held so strictly onto the old Order of things. Yet it was not only Selena she protected, other students had been taken under her wing just as much.

Tehuri let the young female lead the tour, rather than taking the stage herself. Though she took pride in Valendor, it was always nice to see how others would show case it. She observed Selena a bit, hidden from the sun thanks to the umbrella, unlike the headmistress herself. However she wasn't too worried about the peel of skin or the typical signs of sunburn as the clouds were plenty to block most of those rays. Plus the age difference between them, made her more resitance to the sun damage. All of course only temporarily and situational. If it had been a clear summer day, she would have to find cover as well, but alas it was not. It was a grey winterday with a lovely white underground, that even though she was wearing those high heels seemed to be not the slightest challenge for her to walk gracefully around while Selena gave her tour.

Tehuri didn't add much to what the young vampire was saying, there was not much to add. Perhaps she could have taken them to the Arena, but explaining such a thing to the humans? Sure, she could go with the holographic computer explanation, but why put herself into a difficult situation when it could be avoided? "Perhaps I will show you the pools myself," she purred with a wink towards Aiden, who still had not left her side. Of course not.... Perhaps Selena had not been that wrong with her judgement over the boy, even if it was an offensive and insulting way to describe him. From what she understood of modern culture any way. She did always try to keep up with the changes in language, after so many millenia it became a bit harder. Or perhaps she wasn't putting as much effort in any more, like she used to. Which was the whole reason she had asked the humans over. Her own curiosity to the changes in their culture, since the past decades technology had made quite some leaps that they did not always keep up with.

"Lovely tour so far, miss Erwood, I shall take it from here," Tehuri smiled when the vampire started to guide her human back to the dorms. She had planned on giving Aiden a quick show of the different gyms and such they had, when the ongoing snowball fight took her attention. Or more the way that human tried to shield Bran out of all people from a snowball. "Idiot." The word was muttered under her breath that came out in little clouds. She watched as the male went down, and stayed down. Her lips pursed as she hurried forward, though keeping it to a human speed. "Aleksi. Go to your room now." Without question the snowball had come from the lycan, even if she was aware of Isaac having launch an attack as well. "Just checking his vitals," she said towards Bran as she knelt next to the fallen human. Not that she needed to feel for a pulse, she could hear that heartbeat with no problem. He was still breathing as well. So just knocked out. "Please, carry him to bed. I will come check on him in a bit," she said towards Bran. Another student that seemed to dislike him, but for what reasons, she still did not understand. Other than his fathers influence.

"Hannicus, Cynder, please take your hu-new roommates to their rooms. Everyone else, snowfight is over," headmistress Blackmore spoke as she had risen up from her knelt position. Her voice calm, yet it held a certain authority. Her emerald gaze fierce, ready to catch or avoid a last stray snowball if needed, before she turned to the two humans that didn't seem to be taken away by the others. One of them being Aiden, and she didn't really remember the girls name. "Room 0.01? Come with me." A gentle smile was back on her face and her voice had dropped the sharpness. Yet it wasn't as honey sweet anymore as it had been before when she had interacted with Aiden.

Aleksi Valdir
Beta of the Eryna pack

Finnley stated how he was fine, while nodding just a bit too much. Aleksi however didn't press on the matter, as it seemed that the human had picked up on something else. Something that concerned him slightly more. Namely how easily he himself had spoken of humans, and thus more or less betrayed that they were not humans. However his roommate seemed to pick up on it as a joke, dubbing them team Monsters. He grinned as he shook his head. "Team Talented!" he spoke in a joking way as he watched how Wilma seemed to get into the snowball fight a bit as well. That was good and he was just sending another snowball into the air when Finnleys voice reached him once more. Still in that joking manner, but to him, it had lost all humor.

His eyes had narrowed as he turned around sharply. "What did you just call me?" His voice sharp and low. Threatening like a wolfs growl as his muscles had all tensed. He is just a human. He doesn't know any better! The voice in the back of his head tried to calm him, tried to reason, but the insult of being compared that that kind of scum.... He took a deep breath as his nails bore into the flesh of his palms, the snowball that he had picked up fully melted in his hand by now. Anger always made his body temperature rise even more. Those that looked closely would be able to see some steam coming from his body, literally. All due to the cold air around them as it was the same as the fogging of their breath.

It was Tehuris sudden sharp call of his name that probably saved the human from more of that furious attention. His eyes still narrowed as he was send to his room as punishment. For what? The answer came quickly as he noticed the human laying motionless in the snow. Had that been his fault? That fury was quickly replaced by guilt. "Is that my fault?" His voice so much softer now then it had been seconds ago. Those eyes showing the remorse for what he had done, even if he had never targetted the human. He had never intended to hit him. So how had this happened? Or maybe Blackmore was just single him out, because she could. She had never really hidden her displeasure of having him, or his kind, attend Valendor. Even if she was accepting of them being around. "Yes, headmistress Blackmore," he spoke, completely deflated. If he would have had his wolf ears and tail they would have been dropped and curled between his legs. "Let's go, Finnley, let me show you our room," he said. The insult completely forgotten now. His anger came and went quickly most of the time. This time chosing to walk around the wall instead of showing off by going over it as he lead the human towards the dorms building again.

Bran laughed as he saw he had become the target of attack, then he was distracted by Wilma's presence. He liked Wilma, certainly more than she seemed to like herself, and so was happy to see her join in on the fun.
"Always nice to see you, Wilma!" Bran said cheerily. She wouldn't believe him, of course, but he meant it. He watched as the snowballs came his way, chuckling. He was a big target, and he knew some of the Valendor boys would love to hit him. He was preparing to dodge when his new roommate stepped in the way. Bran was surprised for a moment. No one took hits for him. He was always the one putting himself on the line for others. It was a strange feeling, seeing somone who barely knew him step in front of anything for him. Granted, they were only snowballs, but still. It meant something to him. Then the snowballs hit, and Dexter crumpled into a heap. Bran was already moving to assist him, when the Queen Bitch of the school arrived. Bran glared at her, his eyes flickering orange as she knelt next to Dexter.
"Back away, Vampire," Bran growled in Erynan. Checking for a pulse or not, Bran didn't trust her anywhere near his new roommate, especially when the man was unconscious. Bran focused his will into the tattoo on his back, shrugging his muscles to expose it more from under his shirt. There was an audible pop as he clenched and unclenched his hands. He made sure she had backed off before gently picking up the unconscious man, and carried him to their room.

Bran laid the sleeping Dexter in the newly furnished bed that now occupied one part of Bran's indoor tree library, before setting a roaring fire in the fireplace. Bran moved to his desk, and eyed his projects. He was tinkering, getting some gifts ready for Winter Ball. He knew he had been assigned someone, but he had already planned on making gifts for the whole school anyway. What harm could a few more do? Glancing over at the unconscious man, Bran rooted in a trunk, pulling out an old big bellied metal cooking pot, designed to hang above a fire. Setting it down near the door, Bran pulled out his phone, sending a text to the group chat most of the students who had stayed at Valendor were a part of.
"Glug Gathering. My room. One hour. Bring your roommates! " Grunting, Bran hit send, before gathering up the necessary ingredients. Filling up the pot using the bathroom tap, Bran set it on hooks over the fire to boil. Perhaps glug could help soothe some of the newly formed tension around here. Bran certainly hoped so. He needed to stay calm now more than ever.

Cynderic Mayfield

Oooh this would be the perfect opportunity for a photo. Was one of the main thoughts that went through Cynders head at any given moment but this moment in particular was probably not the best time. He held his phone out in front of him. His back to the chaos going on as he held one of the prepared snowballs in his hand and stuck his tongue out with a little wink. It wasn't until he was adding the hashtags that he noticed the human laying facedown in the background and quickly spun around. That can't be good. Cynder stood a little confused for a moment as to what all just happened.

His shoulders slumped as the snowball fight was called off. What a bummer, but he wasn't going to go against Blackmore. Yikes. That snowball must've packed quite a punch if it knocked that guy out. Aleksi seems upset. Aw man. It's not really his fault. How could he have known the squishy human would jump out like that? As Aleksi began walking away with uh...Finnley? Yes that's what he called him. Racing up to catch him Cynder lightly nudged Aleksi's side. "Hey, It's okay big guy." He said with a small smile before looking back to Haven. "C'mon I'll take ya up to the coolest room in this whole place. Hope you brought sunglasses cause it's a little bright." He said with a chuckle trying to lighten the mood somewhat.

He paused a moment in the foyer where Aleksi had previously dropped his roommates luggage. Oh boy. He took a deep breath and hoisted up some. He didn't want to be impolite and make her carry all of it up the stairs. But oh goodness he definitely wasn't as strong as Aleksi. Either way he managed up the steps and stopped for a breather. "We're at the end of the hall down here." He Huffed picking it back up. Opening the door it's easy to see why he mentioned sunglasses. Half of the room is drowned in neon pastels and holographic prints. String lights dangle from the ceiling and from strips under the furniture. It has a very space-age 2000s look. A rainbow assortment of clothing is almost spilling out of his closet. The other half of the room was currently very plain in comparison. As if waiting for someone's special touch. That was where he tried his best to gently set down the luggage and with a sigh flopped backwards onto his bed like a deflated balloon. Was he being dramatic? Probably.

After a moment a Bzzt Bzzt from his pocket caught his attention. He pulled out his phone and squinted at the screen. "Oh Hey," He sat up. "Bran's inviting everyone to his room in an hour." He stood up and crossed his side of the room to his closet and shut the doors behind him. Either way he was going to change. He spoke up so Haven could head him from behind the door. "By the way, I don't remember if Blackmore mentioned it earlier but if you want your side arranged differently just ask." There was a bit of silence as he stared into middle distance trying to remember if he was forgetting something while also deciding what to change into. "Oh! I hope you're not allergic to cats. There might be some hair on uh...Everything. My last roommate snuck a cat into the dorms last semester." He quickly lied. "There's a lint roller....somewhere." After a bit of fumbling he walked out of the closet in his new outfit. "I'll text ya the rules and stuff later too, nothing like major or anything."

Wilhelmina Day

"Oh!" Wilma yelped as she watched her snowball hit its target right in the face. She couldn't help laughing although she tried to get out an apology but was cut off as the other human next to her yelled out. She wasn't quick enough to dodge but put her arms up as the clump of snow pelted her shoulder. Looking over when Bran caught her attention. She didn't reply but nodded and gave a half hearted smile. This was fun. She was having fun. But that quickly stopped when another of the humans leapt to block the shots towards the towering man. Oh dear. It quickly came to an end as Blackmore came into the field hovering over the collapsed human. She wouldn't do anything to him in front of the other humans. No. she certainly wouldn't. Wilma assured herself as she stood still watching. A frown beginning to crease her face. She watched everyone else. Eyes darting between everyone as people moved, were moved and left.

Wilma stood unsure of what to do for a moment. She glanced at her roommate. She wouldn't have to babysit him like the others did to their human roommates. She could go to her room. Although she didn't need to. She supposed she'd go to the greenhouse like she intended to earlier. Yeah. So she walked back to the greenhouse. Her phone buzzed as she got in the entrance. Looking at Bran's invitation to everyone she debated with herself. No one would probably care if she didn't show up. Although she did want to see if that human was okay. If it was from anyone else she probably would make some excuse that she was busy. But she decided she'd check the thermostat and light timers to make sure they were still set for the winter cycle and then maybe head back to the gathering. Maybe.

Azuris
Young Prince of Nilmehona

Once they were upstairs, the other had declined his help. Good, he had not really felt like helping out. Even if he had offered. He leaned back against the wall, pulling his collar up again, while the other grabbed his stuff from his room. All together it didn't take long before the fox came out again, holding nothing but one bag. That was a bit sad. "Is that all?" he asked. His eyes traveling up to that face that seemed to have lost quite some excitement. The other even seemed a bit down, so he gave a little frown. Then again what was he feeling concerned for? It had not been his idea to share his room. He wouldn't have minded it if the other had kept his room. But with all the extra humans staying here, there had been little choice.

"It is just down here," Azuris said, though he was pretty sure the fox was aware. He led him down and into the corner room on the other side. He opened the door which let to platform along the wall, leading straight from the door to the double doors that lead outside across of them. The bathroom and walk in closet could be reached that way as well. However Azuris went straight on the little arched bridge that brought them to the another platform. It was broad enough for two of them walk side by side, if they walked closely. "Welcome to your new room," he said as he walked over to the bed and the little nightstand with some of his stuff. "Blackmore brought me another one, for your things," Azuris said as he pointed over to another small dresser on the other side of the round platform. "You can use the bed, I don't mind sleeping in the water." He looked over at the other. He wasn't much of a sharer and he doubted Mori would mind not having to share the bed.

"You can also use the balcony however you like, I won't come there," the merman said as he pointed towards the glass doors that lead outside. The height would just freak him out, so he didn't see why he would make himself uncomfortable when he was right at ease in here. "The patio set may need some cleaning," he stated, since he had never used it. Not that mid winter was the nicest time to hang out outside, but you never know. "I only have one rule. No peeing in the pool." He looked back at the other with a straight and stern face. That was just so unhygienic and disrespectful, for he practically lived in the water.

Unlike most other Valendor students, he was completely unaware of the invitation Bran had just send out to his glug party. Not because he had not given his number, but simply becuase he didn't have a phone. He only used a laptop for his studies, but phones... Mermans didn't really use them. So even now that he followed his studies here, he had not really tough about buying one. It was not like he was missing out on anything, he thought. Phones meant social interaction, which he didn't mind avoiding. And even if he had gotten it, his answer would most likely have been no anyway. If he had even made the effort to answer. "So, yeah, hope you like it, or something, I guess," he said with a shrug. He pulled off his sweater and threw it onto the bed. Shoes were kicked off and pants followed. He couldn't care less about being naked around his new roommate, for it would just be temporarily as he prepared to jump into the nice warm waters.

Esmeralda Torres
The friendly cook

Esmee looked at Hannicus and then gave a quick not. "Maybe I can make some cookies for it?" she suggested, "if you don't have enough of them already." The banner had said they had free cookies, so perhaps her offer was a bit useless. She quickly followed Selena out of the building, the headmistress and Aiden followed them as well. She listened to her roommates explanation. Though it was kept short when it came to the sports area on the other side. Isaac? Which one had been Isaac? She didn't really remember him. Bran however she did recall. How could she forget the gentle giant that had helped her with her stuff? "I might," she said softly. The idea of asking him was enough to make her rather nervous, so to be alone with him in an are she knew nothing about... Maybe one day she would ask him. Right now her attention was on the creative area that pulled her attention.

It was rather overwhelming and amazing what they all had here, and so modern as well. Not that she had really expected them to be stuck in the 13th century or whatever the outside of the building suggested, but still... It was very amazing. She couldn't think of another word for it. Most of the rooms held nothing of her passions and hobbies, it was still very interesting to see the wide variety that Valendor offered. It truly was made to satisfy whatever interests anyone had and finally they came to hers. The kitchens. She took a deep breath as she first just looked through the room. There were several little cooking islands so each student had his own stove and what else to use.

Esmeralda took some slow steps inside. She went to the second island on the left as she let her fingers run over the cold marmble. Like everywhere else, this room too was up to the last modern standards. She knelt down to look at the oven, and then got back up as she looked over the kitchen machine. "This is... really top quality," she said when Selena mentioned the appliances and utensils. It indeed was nothing short of fantastic. She was used to having to make it work with seconded handed or old stuff at Dolgas Academy. Her fingers slipped over to the knives, even though she was still prefer to use her own set. "Would it be safe to bring my own stuff in here?" she asked. She wouldn't want anyone else to use her knives after all, but among chefs that would be an unspoken rule anyway.

After a while, Esmee reminded herself, she was not the only one on this tour and that she could come back later to take a better look. So she quickly returned to their little group. "Please continue," she said with a bit shameful look. She had not meant to keep them all up. Though no one seemed to care in particular about the hold up. Selena brought them back down and then continued to the dorms. "Bye!" she said towards the headmistress and Aiden when they parted ways. It was only one floor up and then in the left corner. Her eyes widened as she stepped in the room. It was huge compared to her small room at Dolgas, which could just fit in her bed and a desk. Selena apologized for her rather unorganized half of the room, but she quickly waved the concerns away. "Don't be sorry," she said. Even though she herself liked to keep things ordenly and clean, it had its charms to see the others live laid out like that.

"Oh, how sweet," Esmee said when her bags were pointed out. She'd really have to thank the huge man for his help and effort. So what now? She didn't have much to decorate her side of the room. "I... I uh don't mind if you use my side as well," she said as she looked at Selena. It looked like the female could use a lot of space for all her project and unfinished clothes. "I don't have much stuff myself anyway," she said with a little shrug. It was not meant to gain any pity or so, it was just the truth.

Finnley Walker

Location: Courtyard (on way to room) / Interactions: Aleksi ( DarkiusHeavenstein DarkiusHeavenstein )

Finnley paused, confused (and a little concerned) by Aleksi's shout. "S-Sorry?" They mumbled hurriedly, their eyes drawn to the steam trailing off of his body. What had they done wrong? Before either could say another word, they were interrupted by Blackmore. Was Dexter okay? How'd he even get knocked out from a snowball? Finn's eyebrows furrowed in thought. Though he'd by no means be considered a suspicious person, even he had to wonder what was going on with this school (or, more accurately, it's students). Something was odd. He wasn't sure what, but it had to be something.
It took a few moments to realize he'd started following Aleksi. He coughed awkwardly into his hand, eyeing him from behind. Any trace of aggression in his posture was gone, replaced by a sort of droopy sadness. "So, uh- this kind of thing happen a lot?" As soon as the words left his mouth, Finn internally cursed himself. Literally anything else, he thought, would have been better to say than that.
They froze for a split second, searching for a topic change. Not waiting for Aleksi's answer, Finn blurted, "Are you on the baseball team or something?" An awkward laugh escaped them. "Just cause you have a- uh, a really good pitching arm."

Selena
"Absolutely not! You are entitled to your own space, I wont take up what is yours by right!" Selena exclaimed in response to Esmeralda's words. "If anything, I need to start keeping more of my projects in the actual workshop rather than my room." It was a bit of a problem for her, keeping her projects organized and in their proper place. Due to this, an unsewn half of what would be a jacket was draped over her desk chair, while the other half of it remained back in the Arts Building. On the mannequin nearest to her bed was her unfinished gown for the upcoming Winter Ball. The fabric order Tehuri had mentioned contained the last of the supplies needed to finish the gowns train. "You can store your cookery in here or within the kitchen's next door, whatever suits you best.".

"And absolutely anything on my side is free for you to use if you need it. With one exception..."
Biting her lip Selena looked at the small mini fridge with Hello Kitty stickers slapped against every inch of it. "I must ask that you leave my fridge alone. I uh..." Selena thought up a quick lie to hide the fact she kept literal blood within the adorably decked out appliance. "I keep my medicine in there." With Esmeralda being a chef, there was no way Selena could pass off the liquid as fruit punch. A chef could tell the difference, since it was an ingredient used in some cuisines. Especially those of vampires... "I'm terribly sorry, but there is a fridge in the dorm kitchen downstairs if you need to use one. Or, I can procure you your own mini fridge if need be!" Selena prayed to whatever gods were listening (perhaps one of Hannicus's?) that this wouldn't come back to bite her in the butt later.

From the small purse Selena had taken to lunch and then dumped onto her bed came a small chime. A notification from her phone. While Esmeralda looked around, Selena read the message in the group chat from Bran. There was a party! Oh, Selena loved it when her peers threw parties. Although she might not always understand the customs some of her fellow supernatural, she enjoyed basking in whatever culture they brought to Valendor.

"Oh Bran, the nice guy who brought in your things up, is having a gathering in his room in an hour. Everybody is invited! His room is a sight to behold, very cozy." Selena mused as she began scrolling through social media. "I plan on going, you are more than welcome to join me." Now knowing Esmeralda was more the shy type, Selena thought she may choose to stay in the dorm or explore some more of the campus.
