Despair :3
Hopes Peaks crowning joy, the luxury liner USS Hope sails across the Ocean to various continents. Acting as a mobile teaching facility, it houses state of the art, on board amenities, libraries, state rooms, lounge areas and a vast area for entertainment. The USS Hope, the crowning jewel of all Cruise Ships has a total of 8 levels, each accessible by elevator, stair or escalator. Only the elite among elite are allowed to study on board this beautiful ship full of hope.

Unbeknownst to the 12 elite students aboard the USS Hope their life of luxury and hope was cruising to an end. All that would be left would be crippling, terrifying despair.

Cruising at a gentle pace, the ship, containing the students, splashed gently on the Ocean. All around there was no hint of anything being out of place besides the other missing students and staff. As fate would have it, when they would all come to, they would find themselves laying sprawled out on the top deck. A Buffet of fresh seafood and non-alcoholic drinks would be waiting on the tables around them.

Unlike most cruise ships, the only way to the bottom floor appeared to be slow moving escalators. A pair of glass, heavy sliding doors, separated them from the escalators and whatever lay below. High above them party lights seemed to be strung up across the top of the ship.

The sound of a horn bellowing out into the vast open sea could be felt from the wood and marble floor. It wasn't until the fourth of fifth long tooot that the first elite would wake up to explore their new situation. Much like before, the students memory of being on the ship would have been erased.

Haruki Koibito

The tree surgeon of all people was the first to awaken, confused and alone. She had awoken with a start, like her dream consisted of her falling from a high place. Her stomach dropped as she looked around. This wasn't anywhere she had ever seen before. "Um--Hello?" She called out to the empty room, standing up from the chair she was lounging in. She took a look around the room once more for good measure before walking towards the door. The floor seemed to sway under her feet in an unfamiliar way, causing her to feel nauseated. She only got this feeling on boats or airplanes, and rarely cars--But everything seemed still.

Walking out the door, she wondered around the large ship for some time before arriving at the deck and seeing the clear blue sky above her. The smell of the ocean was something she immediately recognized, but not exactly something she welcomed. Fear started consuming her mind as she jogged over to the edge of the ship to confirm they were indeed at sea. Oh, she hated the sea, while it's floor held wonderful plants of different sizes and shapes--Getting there was near impossible, and to make it very clear, she did not want to get there. To be so close to the sea was kind of frightening. She was most certainly more of a tree hugger environmentalist than an ocean lover one.

This travelling out to the deck took a bit of time, and hopefully one of her classmates would find her shaking in her boots before she did something stupid like fall off the side.

The display on Dozzco's headpiece had remained the same for some time, generating symbols to express her unconscious state until the horn had awoken her. Instead of rising up from her position lying on her back and staring up at the sky above, Dozzco's first move was to tighten her hand around the familiar form of her clipboard. She raised it over her head to check if she'd lost any data, only to pause upon looking at it. She stared up at the clipboard for some time until the movement of another drew her attention. Nearby were signs of another form moving, and suddenly Dozzco was quick to lean up and casually brush herself off as she stood to full height. Tearing a page from her clipboard, she stuffed it into her coat before adjusting her excessively complicated outfit and making for the sounds.

As she moved, she recognized that she was on the sea, a cruise liner if what saw so far signaled anything. More Question Marks appeared on her head piece until they faded into one exclamation point upon spotting the source of the movement she'd been hearing.

"Ah, it would seem I'm not alone in my confusion then, good." she said, laughing to herself as she paused whilst keeping some distance between herself and the green haired girl before her "Unless... you're the one who's responsible for my unforeseen presence here:/:? If so, quite the efforts on a kidnapping such as this:blowkiss:👍. Don't think I would've pictured a cruise liner for such things, but then... I guess I'll have to get used to it with the whole captivity thing:lennymeh:."

As she spoke she looked past the girl to the great ocean beyond, realizing that there weren't any recognizable land masses within sight. On an open ocean, only the starts could be used to triangulate one's position. Given the position of the sun, it wouldn't be night for a while. Dozzco briefly glanced back to where she'd come from, the ship's power was still on. What were the odds she'd be able to find a clock soon? Just to be safe, she figured she'd have to have a look at the stars as soon as possible before anything else. She'd never had to sell way-finding before, but that didn't mean she wasn't about to give it the ol' college try.

Of course, that was if her potential captor didn't stuff her in a room for the rest of her incarceration. But they were already out at sea, what was the point of such effort?

As she thought, she lifted her clipboard with one hand and whipped a pen from within her outfit with the other. There was already so much to keep track of, and that meant note-taking... lots and lots of glorious note-taking.

"Mn.." Violet was the third to wake up, purple eyes blinking open hazily as she sat up slowly and looked around, she had woken up in what looked like a cafe room. Her eyes widened when she looked around, she certainly didn't know this place, where was she, she had stepped foot onto Hopes Peak High's campus and then... dizziness? No, that couldn't be it. The gears in Violet's head were spinning, but since she was very intellectual and logical, she came to the conclusion that she had passed out, and there was a field trip this day, and they took her along with them. It was the only idea that made sense to her as she slowly got up, her dress swishing a bit as she made her way across the ship's cafe, walking out the door.

Violet was... More than surprised to see that she was on a ship, but with her conclusion that she'd come to just a minute prior, she didn't give much though to it. The purple haired girl made her way to the railing and looked out at the sea, noticing something, they weren't really moving they were just, well, there in the middle of whatever ocean this was. Surely they had to be going somewhere right?

Violet then heard voices of two other people, sounding like they were coming from above her on the ship. Surely enough, when she looked up, she saw two people on the top deck at the railing, a green haired girl and a person completely covered in clothing. A normal person would have said hello or went up to them to introduce herself, but she was a but too trained in etiquette to do this. She quietly said to herself as as reminder, "A lady doesn't strike up a conversation with people she doesn't know, only continue one if they strike up one themselves." She sighed and decided to look around the bottom for of the ship that she was on. She swiftly made her way across the wide and spacious deck, and entered into a random room nearby to start her tiny exploration.

He faintly could hear the horn as he was still deep in his slumber. Tossing and turning, all Kuro murmured was "Just give me a few more minutes please..." It was his alarm clock isn't it? Telling him it was time to get up and go to school before a day of work after it. Another blare and Kuro finally woke up...But not to his bedroom. This was far from what he knew his bedroom to be.

"Wh-Where am I?" Kuro groggily got up from where he was laying. His body still didn't feel totally awake for whatever reason and he knew stressing it out too much wouldn't end well for him at the current moment. For one small moment he got up a little too fast and his fears came true. He stumbled around, half because of whatever they were on was shaking a little too much and a little because of his body still upset and not cleansed of whatever drugs may be within in, before he caught himself on a chair in the room. It was still spinning so he stayed there for a few minutes until it finally equaled out and he could move without stumbling again or throwing up.

Kuro really tried racking his brain. Where was he? How did he get here? All he could remember was going to sleep last night as he normally would. Nothing out of the ordinary. Then why...

That's when he heard something drifting down to him. Whether it was a good or bad thing was something Kuro couldn't tell but that sense was lost long ago. Against better judgement, he decided to move towards the sound. If anything, hopefully it'd be an advancement to getting answers. Opening the door, that's when Kuro noticed that they were on a ship, as if the horns from before didn't give it away. "Of course..." While the scene was serene and calming to him it just didn't feel like the right time to stop and stare at the sea, vast and open. Whoever was talking was still there and he had to catch up.

The dock wasn't too far from his location and within minutes he saw two people. A green haired girl and a person dressed in this weird white outfit. He only caught the end of the latter person's comments. "Captivity huh? Well that was a situation I wasn't expecting to get into today," he interjected, trying to lighten the mood if only a little bit. But he didn't want to full out joke, not in this situation, and went back to a bit of a serious mode. "But that would mean I can assume neither of you know what situation we're in either? If so, that may not be a good sign."

Kiera Kross ~ Ultimate Technician
Kiera's eyes slowly opened at the sound of a horn. “A horn?” She questioned, slowly sitting up. Bang! “Ow!” Kiera grumbled, hitting her head on something hard. The blonde looked around and noticed she was under a table. “Did I pass out or something?” Kiera asked no one in particular. Slowly she crawled out from under the table. A vast spread of tables filled with food was laid out all around her. Kiera pulled herself up on the table and onto her feet, stumbling slightly. The floor feels like it’s moving, she thought. Taking a moment to get her bearings Kiera dusted off her clothes from laying on the floor. The sun was beaming down on her and the wind blew softly around her picking her hair up with it in draft. The breeze carried the scent of the ocean with it and Kiera breathed in deeply. “Am I on a ship?” The blonde pondered, taking a few steps towards the railing.

The ocean looked beautiful, touching against the edge of the sky. Not an island in sight. It would’ve been a sight to behold, if not for the overwhelming sense of dread that surround her. She still had no clue how or why she was here. “Just think Kiera, what were we doing before we woke up here?” The blonde said aloud. Then it hit her, she was supposed to be starting her life at hopes peak. So how on earth did she end up on a ship? Surely this was a bit elaborate for a hazing. Kiera stretched her arms high above her head and took in a deep breath. Just gotta clear my head so I can remember, she thought. It will come to me any minute.

“Ugh! Why can’t I remember?!” She yelled, kicking the railing in front of her. The noise of the metal reverberated around her. Kiera decided to take walk to the opposite side of the ship and take a look around. It was there that she finally spotted someone, a purple haired girl on the deck bellow her. “Well at least I’m not alone.” Kiera whispered. It was then that a purple haired guy appeared out of the doorway in front of her. He must not have noticed her to begin with as he made his way over to two other people. Plenty of others here then, she thought. Kiera decided to eavesdrop a little before walking over. It seems these people were just as clueless as her. “Um excuse me?” She called over to them, and slowly approached them. She was prepared to start running if she found herself in danger. “Did you say you don’t know why you’re here either?” Kiera spoke clearly. “My name is Kiera.” She introduced herself, with a big smile on her face.

While having her thalassophobic breakdown, a strange unfamiliar person approached her. She yelped, leaning back onto the rail that she was desperately clinging to. She had lost her footing for a minute, about to fall off before she just decided sitting was much better than standing. Much more stability. "Are you really blaming me?! You scared me half to death, actually, almost full to death! You know, who's more likely to be a kidnapper, the tiny hippie or the weird robot thing?" She did not like being accused in any manner, she crossed her arms childishly to prove this point, but did not remove her ass from the security of the deck floor.

Her earrings dangled loudly as she swayed back and forth in an attempt to keep her stomach in a calm state before she was startled again. She let out another yelp of surprise when a purple haired fellow began to speak to her and her other classmate. "Why do you all insist on making such weird entrances? Couldn't you like just say hi? Aww...Why'd it have to be on a ship of all places..." She complained quietly to herself as she left the other two to talk amongst themselves.

She heard movement below the deck, somewhere close, but not close enough where she could see where they were coming from without getting up. Something she was not inclined to do. She, however, did point it out to the other two. "Hey, over there, do you hear that? Are there other people?" Hopefully her classmates would go check it out for her without much question why she refused to get up.

Finally, after pointing that out, someone introduced themselves properly, and without scaring Haruki. She smiled a bit. "Hi, I'm Haruki..." She gave a gentle wave before going back to rocking back and forth gently to keep a headache from spurring and her stomach becoming argumentative.

She scratched her head for a minute, wait, why were they here anyway? She didn't even remember what events lead up to this until now. Hope's Peak! "Oh wait!" She finally got to her feet, wanting to grasp onto the railing but desperately not wanting to see the ocean. "Are you all from Hope's Peak, or were going to Hope's Peak?"

"I'll try my best to get us all out of this situation."

  • The horn's loud blaring had woken him from a pleasant dream. It might not be be everyone's idea of pleasant though. He dreamt he was in his hometown tutoring some little kids. The sound of children laughing as he taught in his dream faded away as he gradually gained consciousness.

He was in a room that wasn't familiar at all. He spoke but when he did, his voice came out sounding dry and almost inaudible. He kept clearing his throat and in the meanwhile, went looking for a water bottle. Anything really to get his voice back to normal.

Searching for water had never been so difficult, as he got out of one room, he found a labyrinth waiting for him. All kinds of hallways leading to who-knows-where. Dead end, no sign of the environment changing. Another dead end. Finally, he found an exit of some kind. It led to somewhere new, somewhere a bit more...open. Once he was out of the previous area, the blinding rays of the sun met his face. He put a hand over his head, shielding his eyes.

Looking around, he realized he was on a deck...a ship's deck...He was out at sea. "W-what!?" he said with astonishment. But with his voice still sounding dry, it came out softer.

He knew it probably wasn't the best time to joke, but he couldn't help it. "I guess there's all the water I'll ever need," he said to himself, laughing quietly. His humor never failed to keep his spirits up in confusing and scary situations.

As he went out into the deck, he noticed a handful of people, some with worried looks on their faces. He walked, loud enough, as not to creep them out with his sudden appearance. When some eyes were on him, he tried as best as he could to be heard. "Hey...you guys have a water bottle- or anything?" It was the first thing that popped in his mind, it was probably a weird thing to start a conversation with, especially with strangers.

"I mean- sorry for being weird - can't talk a lot right now cause my throat's dry and all..." He smiled, trying to look as friendly as possible. The last thing he needed was to look like a suspicious character.

Dozzco didn't stop writing even as the green girl yelped at her appearance, if anything the speed of her scribbling only increased dramatically. Even as she began turning an identical accusation back on Dozzco, the advertiser did well to keep a level head. She did pause to tape her pen at the bottom of her headpiece for a moment in thought, the girl's unsteady demeanor of particular interest. But just as Dozzco was about to speak again, another party entered the conversation.

"Oho?:lennymeh:" She stepped back a bit to keep both the self-proclaimed Hippie and Purple Strands in her line of sight, lifting her clipboard again. She flipped to another page and began scribbling on that as the new guy spoke, showing a similar confusion over their scenario as the pint-sized girl. Unlike her, Dozzco merely nodded to his question before turning to her clipboard. But before she was even finished with her writing, the sound of movement below drew her attention. She wasn't alone in taking note of it, as the Pint-Sized Hippie was quick to point it out with concern.

"Of course there'd be more people, friend.;)" Dozzco laughed before lowering her clipboard for a moment "You wouldn't need a ship this big for only a small number of captives, unless..."

She trailed off for a moment before looking to the Purple-haired boy and tilting her head, "Well, given the precedent so far I suppose those could be the footsteps of our unseen captors.:/:" She hypothesized, "Plotting our ransom or interrogation or-"

Or maybe another would introduce themselves right at that very movement, the very act of conversing seeming to draw more right to them. This time, when Dozzco looked upon the newest girl to arrive she put her free hand on her hip for a moment before sighing and looking to the ground. With every new face that appeared, Dozzco found herself writing less and less in her clipboard. Why would she? She already knew most of the people here from her research on the new school she was attending. At first she was well and ready to chalk it up as to either a coincidence or a part of her captor's trick, but upon hearing Kiera introduce herself it soon became harder to ignore. Then the hippie reciprocated by revealing her own name to be Haruki, and then spoke the theory that Dozzco was just coming around to accepting.

"Of course we are." Dozzco announced with a humored sigh "After all, we're all Ultimates, classmates if you would:)."

She went through her notes with a giggle as yet another boy was drawn to them, "Ah, and that would be Mr. Himura as well. Geez, I wonder if they got the entire class?:/:" she folded her arms behind her back whilst gesturing to the path that she had come from "Well Mr. Himura, if its refreshments you desire, I awoke beside a buffet yet found the meals and drinks secondary to learning of the peculiar situation that we have found ourselves in. The selection of drinks should be to your liking.^_^"

Drumming her fingers on her clipboard, she took a step towards Haruki and gave a small bow, "I'll extend that offer to you as well, Ms. Koibito, as repentance for my earlier suspicion." she turned to Kiera and Kura "In fact, I believe all of us should have a little sit down and figure out what exactly each of us can remember prior to that horn. It'd be pretty helpful in gleaming insight on our situation, wouldn't you agree;)?"

Without waiting, she spun in place before turning and making for the buffet at a casual pace, humming to herself the entire way.

Ryuji Kazan

The not-too-gentle sound of a ship's horn woke Ryuji from a surprisingly deep nap he had evidently been in. He noticed the unfamiliar ceiling through his goggle-covered eyes, and as if by some instinct, he quickly sat up and examined his entire body before placing his head back on his pillow, emitting a sigh of relief, and saying to himself:

"...At least I'm not naked."
After a few more minutes of sitting still and observing every nonexistent detail of the ceiling, Ryuji then said, "Alright. Might as see if I can find anyone who knows what the hell is going on." Upon shifting himself to the edge of the bed, his head began to positively throb, and he rubbed it with a gloved hand. "Damn... my head..." Come to think of it, Ryuji's memory seemed to be more vacant than usual. Try as he might to remember anything that could possibly be a clue as to how he ended up in this unfamiliar room, Ryuji simply couldn't.

Ryuji fixed the pillow and sheets on the bed and stepped out of his room, taking note of the area around him seemed to be moving. Judging by the blast of a ship's horn earlier, Ryuji surmised that he was on some kind of boat, but he would need a bit of confirmation, first. After navigating through what seemed like a maze of hallways, Ryuji followed the scent of salty sea air to a literal light at the end of the hallway, indicating the way out to the main deck. "So, I am on a cruise ship. Either I got lucky and won some grand prize without knowing it... or there's someone here who wants to cut out all of my vital organs and throw me overboard to the sharks." Ryuji reached into one of his pockets and produced a box of matches. He pushed it open, took out a match, and stuck it in the corner of his mouth before putting the box away. "Whatever the case... sounds like fun."

It wasn't long before Ryuji heard human voices coming from somewhere nearby, and turned his head in the direction of the source of the voices. "Hmm?" After a short walk across the deck, he noticed a group of high school students like him, likely Ultimates based on their... interesting choice of outfits. "Oh, at least I'm not alone. That... makes me feel marginally better, actually." Ryuji said to everyone present, folding his arms.

Just before Ryuji had come across the other students, he had very briefly overheard someone mention the name "Hope's Peak", and this created a topic for him to discuss. "Although... didn't someone say 'Hope's Peak'? As in, the so-called 'birthing place of future world leaders', or something like that? I say that because some guys in suits claiming to be from that very same school promised me a place where I could further improve my artistic craft. So... just a couple of questions, here..." Ryuji raised a finger. "One... why are we on a random cruise ship out in the middle of fuck-knows-where, and two... does anyone know why my head feels like someone shoved it in front of a freight train?" Ryuji asked, folding his arms once again. "Still... looks like we're all alive here... I hope. Could be worse..." He shrugged. "We could be ass-naked in a ditch somewhere."

It seems these guys are just as clueless as me then, Kiera thought. At least the green haired one seems nice, she thought. “Nice to meet you all.” The blonde half-heartedly smiled. When Haruki mentioned Hopes Peak her face lit up a little. “Oh! You guys are ultimate’s too? Well I guess we’re all classmates.” Kiera exclaimed. Soon another student turned up and Kiera couldn’t help but jump when they arrived. His raspy voice, from what Kiera could only assume was thirst, scared the living daylights out of her. Before Kiera could mention the feast she had seen, in response to his question, one of the others beat her to it. They seemed to have a screen on their face displaying different emotions. “Cool.” Kiera mumbled, looking at the screen change. She was itching to get her hands on it and see how it worked. “I agree, that buffet does look like a sort of meeting place almost. If there are more of us here that’s where they would probably go too.” The blonde agreed, speaking clearly so that everyone could hear her.

Before they could set out towards the feast another face appeared. This one was much ruder then the rest of them. “Charming.” Kiera commented, at the red haired males ditch remark. “The answer to both of your questions are we don’t know either.” She explained. The blonde felt uneasy around the red haired new comer. He had an aura about him, almost similar to her own but at the same time completely different. “Feel free to join us, there’s a large feast just up ahead.” The blonde added, trying not to make an enemy of the boy. This wasn’t the time to make enemies when no one knew what was truly going on. “Hopefully we might find some answers to your questions too.” She continued.

As they began walking, Kiera quickly caught up to the one with the screen for a mask. She leaned round her left side to get a look at the screen before leaning around the opposite side. “Sorry! I’m just fascinated by your mask. How is it powered? Solar? Battery pack? Ooh, kinetic movement? What about controlling it? Do you have a remote? What about sensors on your hands? Or is it a camera converting your current facial expression?” Kiera rambled, excitedly. The blonde then stopped herself from her questioning. “S-sorry! I get carried away when it comes to tech sometimes.” She apologised, running a hand through the back of her hair. This is probably why you hardly have any friends, Kiera thought. Her eyes quickly lost their enthusiasm and her face fell.

The blaring horn of the ship woke Mikia up. Rolling over, she mumbled, "Ugh, stop. I want to go back to sleep." Another loud sound from the ship's horn forced Mikia to open her eyes and sit up, pushing her pink hair back from her face to clearly see where she was, which she quickly realized was not her bedroom. She stood up, very unsteadily, in order to get a better view of her surroundings. She was on a ship. How did she even get here? The last thing she remembered was...... Mikia tried sifting through her still foggy thoughts for the last thing she clearly remembered. She had gotten dressed that morning, at least she thought it was that morning, who knew how long she'd been on the ship. She had wanted to look nice that day because.....she was going to Hope's Academy! Mikia remembered walking onto the campus and then dizziness and then nothing. Had she been kidnapped?! Oh god if she'd been kidnapped. Was it because of the blog? She knew it had made people angry but jeez kidnapping is a whole new level.

Smoothing out her clothes Mikia started walking, somewhat stumbling as her legs were still unsteady. No use staying in the same place, right? She wandered around the ship alone for a while before hearing someone else loudly say "...Hope's Peak...". There's someone else here! And they're from Hope's Peak. Mikia started moving in the direction of the voice, coming upon a group of people gathered in a buffet room. No one she recognized, but they must all be from Hope's Peak. At least she hadn't been kidnapped alone, she thought. She decided to walk over to a green-haired girl, who looked a combination of nice and very scared. "Hey!", she said, holding out her hand. She then introduced herself, establishing trust was an important step in getting information from others and getting them to help you, "Mikia Nakano. Is everyone here from Hope's Peak Academy?"

Hana didn’t remember anything. She was supposed to be on her way to Hopes Peak, so why was she on the floor of a studio. It was one of those rooms that was used for ballet, yoga, and the like. She stood, noticing the swaying under her feet. Had she passed out while doing her training? She pushed open the doors to see a completely empty Rec center. Normally Hana would take advantage of this and use the empty space to her advantage, but considering she had no clue what was going on, that would have to wait. If she had really passed out, she should get something to eat.

Hana pushed open the doors to find herself on the pool deck. This wasn’t somewhere she’d remembered been before. She looked around, her eyes drifting over the edge of the deck. More water. Was this... a boat? Damn, that fall must’ve given her serious amnesia. She’d never thought amnesia was real, she thought it was just a myth, like quicksand. There must be a reason she was here. A completely normal reason.

Hana convinced herself everything was okay as she looked for some sort of directory. Ah... that’s where the buffet is. She made her way in that direction when she saw a group of people walking that way as well. Did they know what was going on. Hana jogged to catch up, slowing down as she made her way beside a green haired girl.

“Hey, does anyone know what’s-“ she was distracted almost immediately by a hooded figure. She pointed at Dozzco, “Are you a robot? Can you do cool robot things? Oh my god, can you do... the robot?” Hana didn’t really talk to people her age. When she did it was always backhanded words from the other skaters. She didn’t exactly have a firm grasp on what was polite in conversation.

Haruki mostly sat in silence after saying her piece, sitting back down after a few uncomfortable seconds of feeling unstable. She did shoot a short lived glare to the red-headed male who had a rather crude introduction, though. She didn't feel the need to press it, having a non-confrontational nature. Though, at the mention of a buffet she perked up. Buffet usually meant tons of meat, which she neglected, but usually it had beautiful entrees of vegetables and sometimes even fruits! She got up to head over to it, about to investigate further before she was directly spoken to.

"Oh, hello! I'm um--Haruki Koibito. Yes, it would seem we're all students of the academy." She looked around. "That would also mean we are all ultimates..." She lingered over some of their faces, clothes and demeanor. She could actually see some of them being ultimates, but some of them looked like they would be shabby at anything they tried to do.

"Oh, how rude of me, I was zoning out for a minute there. Mikia, was it? If you don't mind me asking, what's your ultimate talent?" She hoped she wasn't being rude to one of the first actually polite classmate of hers, unsure of really how to properly ask. "I'm the ultimate Arborist. Which is a 'tree surgeon' if you don't know the technical term. I basically make gardens look pretty and keep plants healthy." She explained to Mikia specifically, but any other of the students that were near her could most likely hear her statement.

Yuka Himura

"I'll try my best to get us all out of this situation."

  • "Well Mr. Himura, if its refreshments you desire, I awoke beside a buffet yet found the meals and drinks secondary to learning of the peculiar situation that we have found ourselves in. The selection of drinks should be to your liking.

A surprised look formed on his face when the odd-costumed person mentioned his name. Did they know him? Was this person someone he was close to but just forgot for some reason? Apparently, as he listened to everyone's conversations, their memories had been tampered with, he wasn't alone in this enigma.

In response to the person with the eccentric outfit, he nodded and smiled. Then he followed them to the buffet area. It was marvelous alright although a bit too lavish for his taste. But he wasn't going to complain if it was meant for him and the others.

He finally found an acrylic drink dispenser that was unnecessarily grandiose. Inside of it, was water with cucumber and lemon slices floating around. The combination wouldn't be his first choice, but it seemed to be the only source of drinkable water at the moment. Beggars can't be choosers.

Waving the flashy look of it aside, he got a complimentary cup from a stack near the dispenser and poured in the water. After chugging it down, he let out a sigh of relief. He threw his cup in a nearby waste bin and looked around for the strange yet helpful person from earlier.

Once he spotted them, he made his approach. He said with his normal voice back in tow, "Hi there..." Once he got their attention he continued, "Thank you for helping me with my water problem, I was thinking I'd be stuck in that state for who-knows-how-long haha." He laughed softly, letting his naturally pleasant disposition show.

He had heard them mention something along the lines of everyone sitting down and trying to remember what happened prior to waking up. A bit reluctant at first, he shook off the feeling, did he have a reason to not trust this individual? They had been helpful so far. Without giving it anymore thought, he went ahead and shared what was on his mind. "Now you seem to know the most around here and I'd like to help you not only because you helped me but I'm sure it would benefit us all by giving you more information."

Clearing his throat, he went on to continue until someone new interjected, "Hey!", the girl shouted, holding out her hand. "Mikia Nakano. Is everyone here from Hope's Peak Academy?" He didn't find her sudden question rude, and instead gladly mixed in what he was going to say, "So about this Hope's Peak Academy, I'm pretty sure it's my first day going to it."

He paused and put his right hand on his chin. "Though I'm not too sure how I ended up on this boat...but that's the case with everyone, isn't that right? How very strange." "'Hope's Peak'? As in, the so-called 'birthing place of future world leaders', or something like that? I say that because some guys in suits claiming to be from that very same school promised me a place where I could further improve my artistic craft." Another person, a somewhat rowdy red-haired guy this time around, made some not-quite kid-friendly remarks.

Despite that, he nodded, "...yeah someone who was like that had apparently scouted me, though I'm sure they went undercover when they did it to me." "Still... looks like we're all alive here... I hope. Could be worse...We could be ass-naked in a ditch somewhere." As much as Yuka would have went and covered every children's ears from what he said, he undeniably agreed with the man. It could be worse.

Then a bunch of people started bringing up the subject of "Ultimates" "I'm the ultimate Arborist. Which is a 'tree surgeon' if you don't know the technical term. I basically make gardens look pretty and keep plants healthy." To that he also contributed, "Arborist huh? That's neat. Tokushima could benefit from that."

He smiled brightly, making sure it didn't look cheap. He held out his hand, hoping that the girl wouldn't take it as weird. "I'm Yuka, Yuka Himura. Of all the things I remember, I still remember my Ultimate haha. I guess I'm what you call the "Ultimate Volunteer."

As Dozzco led her fellow captives back to the buffet, she glanced around as more and more familiar members were drawn to the large group. Without missing a beat she gestured them along with one hand as they arrived at the buffet, which sat at the center of the upper deck with an extremely large variety to choose from. Tables of dishes of all kinds were on offer, everything from fine cuisine to the simplest of fries, meats and fruits and everything in between. In fact, as Dozzco slowed down upon reaching the buffet, she began to realize that sheer variety of some of the options offered was almost cartoonish in scale. Seriously, steak platters stacked twenty plates tall, a large cooked boar taking up an entire table itself, yet another table with an entire city recreated out of nothing but fruits and vegetables.

It was bizarre to see, especially given the gently swaying ship they were on, but somehow the edible constructs refrained from giving in to the subtle pull of gravity.

That being said, Dozzco was not interested in filling herself on any of the offering, partially because she had more important things to deal with and partially because that require her to remove a part of her outfit. She did not have the time for that, and merely turned around as the others filled the area. There were plenty of empty tables and chairs for those who wished to indulge in the food, but Dozzco merely used one to lean against as she took in the appearances of her fellow kidnapping victims. Many had voiced their questions and concerns on the way over, and some had even started branching off to interact with others now that they'd stopped at the buffet.

Dozzco felt the need to direct them, but merely tapped her pen against the bottom of her screen several times as she took in the conversations and attitudes of those around her.

One of which was an agitated red-head who intrigued Dozzco due to his admittance of a headache not seen in many of the others, "Well the why is exactly what we're trying to find out here, my boy!:grinningteeth:" she declared before cooing in curiosity "But curiously I do not feel as though your cranial pains are the same for many here. Perhaps the differences in our abductions could shed some light onto something?:/:"

They'd also picked up a rather exaggerated lad who spoke with theatrics and flourishes, though the contents of which intrigued her as well, "Like that! I don't believe I remember being courted by my scouts in such a manner, but perhaps I'm merely an outlier.✋:closedeyesfrown:🤚"

It was as she mulled it over that several of her classmates approached her specifically, two blonde girls seemed to take interest in her notable appearance. Though she wanted to focus on the situation at hand, Dozzco found herself looking to the pony-tail sporting individual with a tilt of her head, "No dear, not a robot:lennymeh:. Merely sporting a-"

Her sentence was appropriately interrupted by Kiera, who basically provided her answer for her along with questions.

"-a mask indeed, more of a full-on headpiece in fact." Dozzco finished before adjusting it with a shake of her head and casually approaching Kiera "One that utilizes solar power and a backup battery in low-UV scenarios. A commissioned accessory, so I can't exactly give you the nitty gritty myself, however-:)"

Looking upon Kiera's down expression, Dozzco reached out with her gloved hand and gave her a pat on the head, "Don't let your interests inspire shame, dear. They are what make you Ultimate after all.;3:"

Stepping back, Dozzco jotted several things down until Yuka approached, having sated his thirst from earlier. Nodding her approval at his gratitude, Dozzco lowered her board as he offered to aid her in gathering information. She didn't respond at first, but didn't have to as more students began talking. Mikia introduced herself, more talk came of the specifics of how some were scouted, and soon people were going around telling of their ultimate abilities. That last part was of less use to Dozzco, as she had studies the abilities of many of her future classmates. At least, those who were known to the public.

There were several in attendance here that she did not know, however that question could be answered at a later time.

Right now, she supposed she could continue giving direction to these lines of dialogue.

Clapping her hand against her clipboard, Dozzco spoke clear and concisely, "You may refer to me as Dozzco, Ultimate Advertiser and a party highly invested in this odd scenario we've all found ourselves in.🤔"

With that concise introduction, she began to pace beside the largest of the buffet tables, "So far a number of revelations have been made, not many but an appreciated amount, no doubt." she said before looking through her clipboard "One: Its likely to say that we're all new students at Hope's Peak Academy. Two: Not many if any of us have complete memories of how we got aboard this vessel. Three: From what I've seen of the vessel so far I can conclude that this Deck seems to be almost the same as that of the Academy's Luxury Cruise Liner: the USS Hope.:lennymeh:"

Folding her hand behind her back with her clipboard, Dozzco turned to her fellow Ultimates and tilted her head, "Now what this information means when brought together is currently unknown. Initially I believed us to have been held captive upon this ship, but its similarities to the Academy's vessel have given me extra factors to work with.:closedeyesfrown:"

She turned away to begin pacing again, ":closed eyes open smile:So any knowledge that we could gleam from each other right now should be..."

:O
Dozzco trailed off as she spotted something on the ground behind the massive Buffet table, something that gave her pause.

"Oh dear." she noted before drawing their attention to the unmoving body of someone in a bloodied dog costume "Is.... is that what I think it is?"

ℌ𝔞𝔱𝔰𝔲𝔪𝔬𝔪𝔬 𝔒𝔤𝔞𝔴𝔞

When Momo awoke in the unfamiliar, suffocatingly plushy bed inside of what appeared to be a hotel room, she did the only rational thing she could think to do; Have a panic attack. She started pacing around the room immediately, and when she threw open the room's curtains to see an endless blanket of blue outside, she started to hyperventilate. Where was she? Who would do this to her?

The door was sticky, but after a bit of finessing she was able to get it open. She ran out into the hallway, looking around desperately for people. She just needed someone to give her answers, or at least someone who was just as confused as she was. She just needed someone to be here. "Hello?!" She called as she ran frantically up and down the halls. Every corner she turned, every staircase she used, every locked door she tried, it all seemed like an endless maze. "Hello?!" She called again. "Somebody? Anybody? Please, someone please help me!"

After going up what seemed like hundreds of flights of stairs, she found her way to the upper deck. She stood alone on the vast plain of polished wood and searched for people. Someone had to be here. Who was driving the boat? She hugged her arms around herself and slowed her heavy breathing, trying to calm herself down, until she finally heard a voice. No, multiple voices, and they were talking to eachother. Finally. Momo ran towards the direction of the voices until she arrived at what looked like a fancy dining room. A few other kids her age were there, all in crazy costumes. She started tearing up, she was so realived.

"H-Hey!" She called, running to join them. "What's going..."

Her voice trailed off as she caught sight of what the kids were gathered around. A bundle, lying motionless on the ground... "Oh..." Momo said quietly, letting a quiet whimper slip out from between her lips.

Ryuji Kazan

Ryuji briefly ignored Baltorr for a moment, choosing to comment about him a bit later on. "Wait... there's a buffet?" He said to Kiera as he tilted his head. Almost as if on cue, Ryuji's stomach let out a growl. "I mean... sure, I guess putting some food into my stomach could help me calm down a bit..." He decided to follow the group towards the buffet, where he added: "...provided everything but the kitchen sink at said buffet isn't laced with arsenic, that is." Ryuji wanted to be mildly annoyed at how nobody could answer his questions, but then again, he frankly expected as much.

Along the way, Ryuji rubbed his head as he responded to everyone that had spoken to him. "Yeah, so... I know you're probably not inclined to believe me when I say this, seeing as this is the first time we're meeting each other, but I'm not usually this... upset. This whole mess is just kinda... really, really frustrating, y'know? I get shocked awake by a friggin' ship's horn, which is... well, it's not the most gentle sound to wake up to by a long shot, my head hurts worse than it ever has, and..."

Ryuji paused mid-sentence as he realized something. "...oh, right, I guess I should introduce myself. I suppose it's the least I could do, seeing as we're prob'ly gonna be here a while. I'm Ryuji Kazan, the Ultimate Pyrotechnician. Some artists use paints, others sculpt with clay or marble, but me? I work with starbursts of strontium and cascades of copper with the night sky as my canvas, especially during summer festivals. And, yeah... I realize how weird it is that someone with the potential to bring so much joy to entire crowds of people is not the biggest ball of sunshine in the known universe, but... nature is weird sometimes, what can I say? Not everyone who works with things that go boom is gonna be as bombastic as... that guy." Ryuji thumbed towards Baltorr.

Ryuji turned his head towards Haruki when she mentioned her Ultimate Talent. He showed interest, though he kept wearing his somewhat-trademark stoic frown. "You take care of trees, huh? That's cool, Haruki. After all, without trees and other plants to produce oxygen, I sure as hell couldn't ignite matches to light fireworks with. Fire itself is an oxygen-based chemical reaction, after all. So... if I find a tree anywhere on this ship, I'll be sure to profusely thank it for indirectly supporting my own Talent."

Yuka had introduced himself next, and Ryuji simply gave him a nod. "Well, I might not be the cheeriest guy on Earth, but I guess you're kinda filling in that void. Good to have you on board, then."

At the buffet, the female with what looked like a computer screen on her head spoke to Ryuji, expressing interest in what he had said amidst everyone else's presumable annoyance at his earlier profanity and rudeness. What actually surprised him a bit, though, was Dozzco's mention at how Ryuji was the only person present to confess to experiencing a headache. "Wait, hold the phone... nobody else has a splitting headache but me?" Ryuji put a gloved hand to his chin. "Now, why of all people would I be the one to win the 'migraine raffle'? Hmm... another mystery wrapped in a puzzle, packaged in an enigma, complete with a pretty bow of confusion on top." Dozzco had also introduced herself as the 'Ultimate Advertiser', and to that statement, Ryuji folded his arms. "Advertising, you say? As in, for companies and stuff like that? My family owns a company, actually-- ever heard of 'Kazan Family Fireworks'? We sell stuff to just about every corner of the globe, especially the U.S. They buy our stuff by the boatload. In terms of local sales, the Togami Corporation's an esteemed client of ours. My old man's in charge of the business stuff, though." Ryuji paused his sentence to approach the buffet table. As he continued speaking, he began to inspect every single piece of food and drink available, since he had earlier mentioned how the food could be poisoned. "There was even one time we sold pyrotechnics to some musician who wanted a serious grand finale for one of their shows. Forgot their name, though. It was... like... 'Bucky Meow', or something. Real weird, she was... but she was thrilled by what she saw, so that was good enough for us."

When Dozzco mentioned how the ship so closely resembled the apparent cruise liner of Hope's Peak, the 'USS Hope', Ryuji raised and eyebrow and turned to face her again, pausing his inspection. "Hope's Peak owns a cruise ship? The suit guys back at that one summer festival didn't say anything about that. I guess Hope's Peak must be more well-funded than I thought. Still, come to think of it..." Ryuji made a picture frame with his hands by joining his thumbs and pointer fingers, moving it this way and that. "...this actually kinda works out... if I ever wanted to test my creations, I do have a crapton of open space to do it in... provided Hope's Peak isn't lying and there's actually somewhere I can work, that is."

Dozzco's shock at seeing the bloody dog-costume-wearing person made Ryuji react... not very much at all, actually, aside from briskly sprinting over to the person on the ground. "Oh... well, damn. Anyone know CPR?"

Baltorr's hood fell off when Ryuji said something that almost sounded like an insult. He held back the urge to run up and smack him in the face with a fist because he didn't want to break character. Instead, he looked away with a hand up brushing his hair back for a second, before replying. "Such a foolish mortal. Talking big yet he has no idea about the many countries I have conqured over my many years of terror."

With everyone else introducing themselves, Baltorr took this as an opportunity to introduce himself as well.
"Although since you all revealed your names, I should tell you mine as well. I am Baltorr, emperor of the world, the demon lord of FellGrail, and killer of millions!"

With the mentions of everyone waking up not remembering coming here, Baltorr let out a wicked laugh.
"Really? Am I the only one who remembers getting invited to this ship?!"

He held up an envolope that talked about being invited to a cruise ship. With the interruptions of panic as a (dog?) Found on the ground was bleeding, Baltorr turned away and threw his arms out in an 'I could care less' manner.
