God
Name:
蓮那
Hasuna (Lotus Beautiful)
Alternative Names/Title:
Patron Deity of Children, Hearth and Home, Parenthood, and Family
Appearance:
Anime Person.jpg
Age:
looks 25 but is 2,000+
Gender: Female
Personality:
Very kind and generous, playful, very motherly towards everyone, but also super protective and can get really angry if someone hurts her loved ones.
Loves kids, hates bullies, hates dirtiness, loves cooking, loves gardening
Wish from which you were born:
Desire to have a family
History/Legend:
Hasuna is almost as old as Japan, credited as being the midwife of the gods. She is an extremely old goddess and has essentially forgotten what her true origin, not sure if she was created through a wish or has always been a Goddess. Sometime in the past, she acquired Boujouza, her so far only Regalia. She tries to give shelter to anyone she can, such as lost souls and believes everyone should have a home. She often lets strays (of the Shinki variety) sleep in her shrines but so far has never used them.
Current Relationships: Has a huge crush on this wind/travel god named Nagi
Strengths/Virtues:
extremely empathetic and intuitive, very charitable
Weaknesses/Flaws:
Can be a bit Smothery and Clingy at times and can't stop taking in strays (of the animal type)
Special Abilities: Fertility
(Grows Plants and Makes Babies)
Fears: Loneliness
Shrine:
Most families keep a shrine above the main doorway or fireplace. Hospitals also often contain a Shrine in the Pediatrics and Baby Section of the Hospital.
But there are also quite a few small shrines in daycares, orphanages, or other childcare facilities. Her main Temple is in Kyoto.
Regalias: Nico Nico Hasuna's Hori Hori
Followers/Worshippers: tbd
Clan Name: ha
Theme Song:

Others:

She treats regalia as her own children. (especially the younger regalia) She always appears pregnant despite not really being capable of bearing children. She has a good relationship with just about everyone and she is one of the more popular gods, she is a benevolent deity and while not the best fighter she will defend anyone under her protection with the ferocity of a tigress protecting her cubs, her main goal is mostly trying to get people to spend time with their families and create families of their own. (Incidents of Hikikomori and Kodokushi and similar situations make her sad)

God of Travel and Exploration

  • N.(Pok%C3%A9mon).full.943067.jpg
    Name: Nagi

Title: God of Travel and Exploration; He is also called the ‘Wandering God’ due to his unwillingness to stay in one place for very long. Nagi used to be called a Wind God by the nomads.

Age: 715. He appears to be in his late teens or early twenties.

    Gender: Male

    Eye Color: teal-greenish

    Hair Color: green.

    Weight: 145lbs

    Height: 5’9’’

Outfit: Nowadays, after losing his shinki, Akime, Nagi wears nothing special. A black undershirt paired with an off-white pullover, cargo pants, and a pair of hiking boots. He’ll often be seen carrying a large traveler’s backpack which includes camping supplies, food, necessities, holy water bottle, etc. A baseball cap is occasionally worn in order to hide his features. Nagi likes to keep up with modern times since he’s often interacting with humans.

Appearance: See picture. One thing to notice about his appearance is that he often has a lazy look about him. Also, his hair is almost always messy with a windblown appearance because of the wind spirits he travels with.

Location in where you live/Shrine: Nagi is a traveling god and therefore does not like to stay at one place for very long. He lives wherever his feet takes him, but will occasionally stop to rest at the wayside shrines/statues dedicated to him along the roadside. His statues in the near shore are often dusty and overgrown with moss, since there isn’t anyone to take care of them. People who pray at his shrine don’t often stay for long(being travelers and all).

    Kaeru-no-Yashiro_shrine%28Small_shrine_of_Frog%29.JPG

Despite the fact that he doesn’t visit often, Nagi does still have a house in Takama-ga-hara, which is currently being tended by his shinki, Tatsume

Other names known: Himine,Michiko,Aika,Momi

Age: (19/ Pre-Feudal Era Origins)

Gender: Female (118lbs, 5'5")

My first Name?
Ame's first name given to her was by a hero turned god named Susanoo as he fought with the great eight headed serpent Orochi.
Afterwards she was given to a goddess of the sun Amaterasu, and subsequently allowed her power to be wielded by others afterward.

Abilities

Masterful use of Borderlines/Song/Bind/Other regalia abilities
Personality
Surprisingly Social, Ame has no problem holding conversations with others although many may have a problem with her. She has a strong sense of honor and duty, She can be easily irritated if the wrong thing is said.
Has strict morals about being a Nora.
Tends to get attached to the kami that use her.

History:
Ame was the last woman sacrificed to the evil demon Orochi before Susanoo was able to step in and defeat him. She was also the only man she loved and he loveDuring the battle she revealed herself seeing his will to fight for the one he loved. He took hold of her and named her in turn as she became the legendary sword now known as Kusanagi.
After the battle Susanoo gave her over to Amaterasu as to repay her in her help of slaying the demon. That is how the legends, myths and stories remember it. The truth is Susanoo couldn’t bear the sight of a spirit that held the same face as his beloved but could never remember her life with him or else harsh consequences would be dealt.
Ame didn’t understand the gods betrayal of her even though Amaterasu was a good person. She ran in pursuit of Susanoo learning about the gods, regalia, and phantoms along the way meeting more Kami and all the while wanting to hate Susanoo for what he did never felt able to. In her longing for a bond she became a Nora offering her help to those she deems worthy. After years of traveling she met many gods and goddesses, one in particular a god named Ude replaced the emptiness she felt at least for awhile...
When the Great War occurred Ude fell and was not immediately resurrected. This spurned another long journey for Ame to find the god she had failed to protect when he needed her most. Now time has passed and the names she has been given are starting to fade one by one. Kami are disappearing and not coming back. Her fears are becoming real and this has caused her return to Japan after so long fruitlessly searching for the other god she loved.
(RIRP)

Strengths:
Resolve-
It is hard to change Ame's view of things as she has been living this way for a long time.

Honor bound-
Ame will die to protect the Kami who contracts with her even after they leave. Her actions can be seen as both a strength and a weakness.

Speed-
Being the great blade of Susanoo her speed is renowned as it was needed to slay the great demons eight heads before one could strike.

Weaknesses:

Naive-
Ame can be a bit naive believing no one really lies or has ulterior motives.
She has learned over the years this does happen but still holds out that many people are honest.

Love struck:
Ame feels strongly about those she is contracted to, this can get her in a lot of situations she normally wouldn't have to deal with otherwise.

Virtues:
Honor, Duty Bound, Caring, Loyal, Knowledgeable

Vices:
Nora stigma, Her numerous names can be seen if not covered.

Likes:
Seafood, Trains, Children, Honorable people, Music, Festivals.

Dislikes:
Dogs, Kami who look down on her, Coffee.

Hobbies:
Ame spends a lot of time by parks and loves being around festivals.
She enjoys seafood and is fascinated by vehicles and trains often riding the trams.

Biggest fear:
To never be wielded again and help others basically to be forgotten.

Biggest dream:
Ame wants to experience a bond like that of Susanoo and his lover

  • Spiritual Human

    Name:
    Yuya Sumiko

    Gender:
    Female

    Age:
    21

    Appearance:
Sumiko is a thin woman who stands at 5'7 . Her hair is sharp white similar to that of fallen snow and when not tied up can reach down to her lower back in length. Her eyes are a dull brown, almost as if they have had some of the color drained from them. Finally her skin is a sharp pale white, so much so that one could mistake her skin for porcelain.
    Director of Europe.jpg

    Occupation:
    Library Assistant and College Student

    Nationality/Ethnicity:
    Japanese

    Personality:
Sumiko is a very curious person by nature. Always wanting to discover and learn new things. She can often be found with her head stuck in a book, her face glued to a computer, or flipping through some sort of magazine. Whatever the new knowledge is does'n't matter. She just needs to learn from it. Her devotion to learning would almost be admirable if she didn't lose herself in it and forget her other responsibilities . This has led to many people believing that she has situational awareness, which she totally does. Sumiko also finds her passion in reading, particularly in fantasy and a bit of a guilty pleasure for romance novels. On top of that she is very compassionate, knowing what it is like to face personal struggles she always roots for the little guy, even if she doesn't know the full story. This and her trusting nature makes her a bit gullible.

    Background/History:
Sumiko was the youngest daughter to a family of five. If being the youngest wasn’t enough reason for her family to baby her/take care of her she was born Albino. This would have lasting effects throughout her life. Luckily for Sumiko her family was relatively well off and accommodating for her wasn’t much of an issue. As a young child she loved all of the attention but always being in the spotlight and having someone right there watching after her would start to lose it's glamour as she grew older.

When she entered into school and began to become more independent Sumiko realized that her problems weren’t as bad as people made them out to be. She was more sensitive to sunlight and her vision was a little worse then others, that was really it. Despite her protest her parents would continue to baby her and have her taken care of at school. This would continue for several more years until she proved that she could take care of herself just like any normal girl could. It was during this time that she developed her love of learning and reading. It was also in primary school that she discovered another part of herself

Her sisters always had active social lives, large friends groups, etc. Even back in Primary school Sumiko didn't have that. Instead she had her books, he magazines, and her "imaginary friends" as her family called them. Though her eyes had issues seeing the same things that everyone else could, Sumiko saw things that others didn't. Little critters that existed in a world that only she could see. Of course the young Sumiko told her parents and sisters about it, but she was just playfully dismissed like an child would be. So the little Sumiko stopped talking about this fantastical world... even when the monsters started to show up.

Sumiko went through her secondary school years as an almost complete shut in. The imaginary creatures that she had seen when she was younger never went away, in fact she only started seeing more and more. So she tried to do what others did and pretended that they just didn't exist. Between her overbearing family that insisted she needed to be watched and cared for 24/7 and the other world only she saw her life was not a pleasant one. To escape the life she began to disdain she turned to knowledge, finding eventual solace in fantasy and romance novels. Her highschool years were filled with silly dreams that someone would come and save her from the monsters that stalked her and the family that trapped her. It was also during these that she began reading more about the AFAH actives that had gone on when she was younger. Too her the activities of this organization were ghastly. Finding sympathy for the gods she would purposefully visit what ever shrines she could to offer her thanks to the gods, even if they weren't listening anymore.

Eventually after a lot of hard work and against her parents desires Sumiko made it into a university located in Kyoto. Securing herself a job at a local library and later on her own apartment, she had finally escaped the prison that she felt her family had kept her in for so long. Now it was just her, her own life, and the mystical world of creatures that only she could see. Although she had grown used to it and accepted it's presence, a small part of her hoped that it was something. Whenever she thought about the stories of gods she would think back to the shrine's she would visit and pray at. Maybe just maybe, there was a chance that the tiny world she thought only she could see was a lot bigger then she could ever dream.

    Current Relationships:
    Yuya Goto: Elder sister, 31
    Yuya Ami: 2nd Sister, 29
Yuya Shizuka, 3rd Sister 25 (Twin of Shizuku)
Yuya Shizuku, 4th Sister, 25 (Twin of Shizuka)

    Strengths/Virtues:
    Compassionate
    Kind
    Diligent
    Intelligent

    Weaknesses/Flaws:
    Situational awareness
    Gullible
    Stubborn
    Can become obsessive quiet easily

    Spiritual powers/abilities:
Increased spirit detection: Sumiko is hyper aware of the surrounding spirits. It's almost as if she can smell them once they start to get close to her, thus making it difficult for any of the "Monsters" to sneak up on her.

tumblr_mx4p3bLGaS1sj4g2to6_250.gif

Personality:

Hiro is typically a cynical person at people he doesn't know, that isn't his only side though. He is a sweet person underneath his prickly appearance. He is a very loyal ally an wouldn't hesitate to put his life on the line for someone he cares about. He doesn't sugar coat things and bluntly states it and it comes out to make him appear like a snarky little shit. He doesn't deem himself as a pessimist or an optimist, he calls himself a realist. He looks on the logical and realistic side of things and draws from that. His mind has a tendency to wander when he is bored and that is when his best ideas happen.

He can be very playful and tease people, he finds amusement in their reactions when they found out they've been had. He is a perfectionist and everything he does has to be perfect or he'll get fussy about it. Some would say it was a flaw, but he doesn't see it that way. He is stubborn and when he is set out for something he won't give up no matter what. He normally has to be pulled down and talked sense into. Since most of the time things he set out to do can be outrageous. In a way, Hiro is still a typical teenage boy. At least he has his head on right then most of them.

Biography:

Hiro wasn't born with a silver spoon in his mouth, or even to a family who wanted him. In fact, he was placed in the care of the local orphanage in Tokyo. His treatment there wasn't all that bad, it wasn't like it was out of Annie or something. He started showing his troublemaking streak when he was seven, this caused him to look unappealing to potential adoptive parents. The one thing he did find comfort in was learning how to cook by one of the nicer staff there. That's when he learned he had a passion for cooking. One day around the day of his tenth birthday a young couple who looked like they were very high class came to the orphanage. Surprisingly to everyone they were interested in Hiro, they wanted to adopt him out of all the children. When he arrived at his new home, a mansion to his excitement.

Things were okay for the first few weeks and then the couple seemed too busy for him. He heard from one of the maids that they only adopted him for appearances. The discouraged Hiro decided to isolate himself and only focused on his studies and had big dreams to open his own restaurant. It came to be that his new "parents" had a debt with the Yakuza and they weren't paying them. The now teen woke up to two men kicking down his bedroom door. They had come to kill everyone in the mansion, this included Hiro. The last thing he saw was the bullet flying straight for him. Hiro wasn't sure why he could see the world around him after he supposedly died, he felt smaller and he could see creepy beings all around him. The phantoms were now apart of his life and what he had to run from.

"I just want this nightmare to end!"

Strengths/Virtues:
- Loyalty
- Intuitiveness
- Kindness

Weaknesses/Flaws:
-Stubbornness
-Short Temper
-Prickly

Likes:

-Fruit (Bananas being his favorite)

-Fall and Winter

-Cooking

-Cats

-Making New Memories

Dislikes:

-Coffee

-Dogs

-Mornings

-Stuck Up People

-Being Treated Like a Child

Fears:

-Thunderstorms

-Being corrupted by phantoms

Theme Song:

"I have a few things here and there that keep living bearable. What motivates you?"

tumblr_n6g8sjw6011rnkpelo4_250.gif

Motivation(s):

Hiro's motivation is that he was given a second chance as a Sekki, he is motivated by the fact that he can help people and serve his master. The fact that he now has a home and people around him who care is another.

Aspiration(s):

When Hiro was alive his dream was to open his own restaurant so he could cook for anyone that walked in the door. He wanted to become a master chef who was known for his talent. Now that he is dead he just settles for cooking for his god and others around him.

Inemaru
91f411a6b596b6f85d7f15db82c109b5.jpg
God of Justice
Basic Info
Name: Inemaru
Alternative Names/Title: Patron Deity of Justice, Equality, Revenge, and Fariness
Age:
Physical appearance - early 20s
Actual age - Over 1200 years old
Gender: Male
Deeper Look
Personality: Just like how justice constantly teeters on the tightrope of morality, Inemaru is in a constant state of stress. However, he never shows it as he remains stoic and confident. To falter would break the person he has established himself to become. He remains impartial in everything due to the complexity of things and the evermoving shift of ideas for those he helps. Due to this, he is open-minded and flexible to change. But as a servant for the people, he will decide on the solution strongly felt by his patrons and see it to completion.

When it is simply him and his Regalias he can be relaxed, thoughtful, and observant. He enjoys activities using his mind and having conversations involving philosophical ideas. Being out in nature and all its natural elements are the settings he usual rests in. Although when it comes to arguments he usually prefers confrontation or his input to be of last resort since he tries to stay impartial. Naturally, he can become a competitive and fiery spirit, if needed.

Inemaru mostly has a calm persona but he is very passionate about trust. He desires his Regalias to get along and fluently work as a team and ultimately have each other's backs like a family. Inemaru does concern himself though with the number of Regalias he can handle. In this perspective, he may seem selfish but he understands that there are boundaries. Inemaru also sees that it is his responsibility to develop his Shinkis to their fullest potentials. By holding this idea of helping his Shinkis he becomes overprotective, slightly bossy, and really pushy. Inemaru finds this as a personal flaw since this will cause biased opinions to be formed about certain Regalias and what he wants to be is impartial.

To practice in being unbiased, whenever there are disputes he puts his feelings to the side and listens to both sides becoming a mediator and judge. At first, it was difficult but over the centuries he has become almost impartial in every situation. When it comes to making his decisions he only considers the actions that were taken then at that moment and tries to not think about past actions to influence outcomes.

But when it comes to making decisions, doubt is always trailing behind. He appears confident when he makes up his mind but the ideas of the many 'ifs' begin to corrupt his mind. But then he remembers that gods can do no wrong and that every decision he makes is right in one way or another.
Wish from which you were born: "This world I live in is unfair, I wish that there is something to make it fair. Bring justice to those who have made it unfair."
History/Legend: It all starts in the beginning of times when the feudal system began. When the establishment of castes occurred, people began feeling injustice and/or inequality were affecting their lives. At first it was a simple barn shrine in a small farming village that accumulated the many wishes of people wanting a different way of treatment or more opportunities. As the wishes eventually reached thousands, Inemaru appeared.

At first, it was little things like tripping up officials and stealing their goods to distributing seeds evenly between the community farmers. But then it evolved into killing farm animals and hurting other people. At some point, Inemaru was going through a period where he was doing serious damage to anyone whom the client was asking for. Inemaru became blinded by the many requests asked upon him to the point where he had to face off another god who someone else requested to stop him. This battle resulted in the loss of his first and only Shinki during that time. After losing someone whom he trusted for years and basically grew up with him since the beginning broke him.

For a few decades, he kept to herself. Leaving the people behind led to more separation between classes and frequent skirmishes. Many tried to ask for him but he ignored them allowing his shrine to decay and his powers to diminish. He was nearly at the point where he was about to die when a wandering Spirit made its way over to his shrine. Like everyone else he ignored it. But it would not stop hovering over him. Inemaru tried to relocate but it somehow found him.

With his closed heart, he continued to live, waiting for the day when he would disappear but with people's will for equality he always had a thin lifeline. This line strengthened though when a Phantom appeared. But it wasn't after him, it was after the Spirit that followed him. Inemaru tried to run away but he knew that if he left that spirit to die, he was not a true god. Before the Phantom could touch the Spirit, Inemaru claimed it. There he regained a Regalia, a Shinki that he named Kimiki.

Inemaru regained enough strength to repel away the Phantom but not enough to destroy it. After claiming his newfound Shinki, Inemaru decided to stop being worthless and face that he was needed in this world. It took a while before he was able to get his name out in a whisper, but that whisper soon turned into a shout when he was asked for help from Yoritomo. After helping out the Minamoto Clan she became a recognized god that received wishes frequently.

But over the years as cultures have changed, the rise of AFAH posed as a nuisance to Inemaru with a huge shift in society's perspective of the deities. However, the elements of equality, justice and revenge remained and even grew as the advanced technology of humans has not only increased the availability of information but it has now brought light onto flaws of current systems that newer generations are raging over.

Spiritual Human
250px-SCSakuya.png
Name: Rika Murakami

Gender: Female

Age: 17

Occupation: Student of Shirotome High in Kyoto.

Nationality/Ethnicity: Japanese

Personality: Despite the calm, cool demeanor she displays, Rika actually has quite the hot temper. She loves challenges and prefers gossipers face her head on rather than hiding behind whispers and computer screens. She doesn't like dealing with fake people and has no problem others what she thinks. Rika is hard-working, independent, and while she doesn't exactly yet know what her future goals ought be, she's unafraid of what the future holds. Truthfully, she isn't quite sure she has much of a future what with the monsters following her everywhere. The curse that haunts her mother's line and felled her mom will likely take her as well. However, Rika doesn't intend to go down without a fight. She doesn't tell her father about the things she's able to see, nor the thing that killed her mother, not wanting to worry him. Rika likes doing things on her own. She's a prideful person who holds herself (and others as well) to high standard. In spite of that, she's also ready to lend a helping hand to those who sincerely ask for it. Rika likes bravery, honesty, and honor in a person. She also has a hard time trusting others and opening up about her worries due to the experiences of her past.

Background/History:

Rika's father is a regular salary man, doing his best to take care of his daughter on his own. His wife, Rika's mother, died at when Rika was still a child. Supposedly she went insane and killed herself. Rika never told her father, but she saw the "thing" that clung to her mother, draining the woman's sanity and growing larger with each passing day. She tried to tell her father, but her words weren't taken as anything but the wailings of an upset child. Who would believe the in the little girl that cried "monster" after all? No one believed her. Anytime she brought it up the things she was able to see, she was treated as weirdo whining for attention. Eventually, Rika stopped bringing it up. Distancing herself from others, she did her best to live her life as normally as possible.

Temples and shrines were the best place to avoid the monsters so she stopped by the one nearest to her house whenever she could. Fortunately, the shrine caretakers there didn't seem to mind. Rather, Rika always earned a cookie every time she stopped by and offered her prayers. Her father figured she'd simply taken up religion and let her do as she pleased. The first time Rika met the goddess of the shrine, Ame no Uzume, was when she saw a beautiful girl dancing nearby. Rika didn't think much of it at first. However, every time she visited the Ota Jinja Shrine, the girl was there happily dancing and it wasn't long before Rika forgot her original purpose of avoiding phantoms and simply visited to watch the girl dance. Uzume became her first friend. Rika confided with Uzume all her problems and, for some reason, they seemed to magically disappear after talking. More than that though, Rika enjoyed the company Uzume provided, though the girl didn't like talking about herself. However, one day she came to the Ota Jinja Shrine to find it destroyed, marked by graffiti and scorch marks. Uzume was nowhere to be found. That was when she first learned of the organization AFAH and their rally against religion.

It was a popular trend then, to denounce gods and shrines that were taking up taxpayer money. Kids in her school supported it. Even some of teachers did, phantoms clinging to their backs and whispering words of hatred. Rika didn't, but there wasn't much she could do about it either. Feeling betrayed by the friend that seemingly abandoned her, Rika secluded herself further into her own world. Fortunately the phantoms that hung by her side were fairly small and easily scared off by the water she stole from a secluded wayside shrine she found along the road. Dirty, small, and seemingly abandoned, she cleaned it and made it her new fort against phantoms since AFAH didn't seem to notice it. Occasionally she would try and warn AFAH supporters about the phantoms near them, since they seemed to draw the most, but her words were always met with deaf ears or scorn. Those anti-faith people didn't want to hear anything of gods or spirits.

It wasn't until she entered high school that she first learned the reason phantoms were drawn to her. Forced to look up her family ancestry for a school project, she learned from her maternal grandfather that the Basho line had always been able to see spirits starting with Matsuo Basho, a famous poet in the Edo period and a practitioner of Onmyōdō. Apparently many in the family line were skilled Onmyōji , though the powers and spiritual abilities weakened over time. Researching the topic, as well as the poems of Matsuo Basho, Rika learned of an obscure frog/god called Nagi who helped Matsuo Basho in his travels, though she never met him. She couldn't say for sure whether or not he existed, but her grandfather seemed to believe so and she couldn't deny the possibility either. Phantoms existed, after all. And spirits. And gods. Uzume was a goddess - a deity of dawn, mirth, revelry, and dance. The thought left her utterly floored. However, upon learning of the situation of the gods from a talkative spirit she met in the old school bathroom, Rika resolved to find her friend again no matter the risks. She also joined the girls' judo club in her school, becoming team Captain after 2 years.

Current Relationships: Friends with Ame-no-Uzume. She has a distant relationship with her father; It's not bad, but they don't know much about each other since her father is always working.

Strengths/Virtues:
  • independent
  • strong-willed
  • hardworking
  • honest
  • drawing
  • athletic
  • social studies and English
  • Judo

Weaknesses/Flaws:
  • prideful
  • stubborn
  • distrustful
  • doesn't like asking for help.
  • tendency to do things on her own.
  • critical
  • Math
  • Cooking
  • driving (for your safety do not let her behind the wheels)

Spiritual powers/abilities: Resists phantoms well and their attempts at corruption seem to have little effect. She also knows basic Onmyōdō and can draw talismans to drive away the weaker phantoms (kinda).

Phantom

1599345302540.png
-
Name: Ue
Age: 200+ years [18 in Appearance]
Gender: Female
Appearance:
Ue is a combination or rather, the distinct idea of being "unassuming," small, fragile, and utterly innocent, down to the tiny specks of purple in her irises— she or they, thrive on the very meaning of being alluring, in a way that's sweet and portrayed through as such with demure movements. She's mastered the visual art, coming together into one body, and will do so to any human she meets, corruption is a skill you know. Feeding into that pseudo-reality, and little pieces of what was once, Ue is just below average, five foot four and even out with a weight of one ninety-five pounds. A sickly complexion is what follows, pale, pallid and undeniable that contrasts against anyone else. In a way that draws attention, remarkable, but free from blemishes and any scarring; a blank page and matches perfectly with what little emotion is allowed to be shown. Her purple hair weaves down, tendrils, lilac, spiders silk that softly gathers upon her shoulders and pools downwards. Her fringe is thick, with enough volume to conceal her eyes and cut evenly-- a little too perfectly a human might admit, in tandem with her eyes, with delicate features, nose and thin lips.

Negative Emotion: Greed

Personality: Ue is meticulous chaos— corruption is a labyrinth, a particular delight in breaking down people and eventually consuming them, feeding on the lesser than stellar emotions of men and women, humanity as a whole. She finds the other concepts of phantoms, abhorrent, a conflicted with what she is but she thinks of herself as a unique blend, one willing to be subtle and ever so precise with her pieces. She refers to herself, as "she," knowing that reactions tend to be more sympathetic or willing to go along with her, to an extent. Just yet again hammering the point home of where she stands on the manipulative angle, pushing humans to the ultimate desire— what they crave and want oh ever so much, "You deserve this," justified in that humans should be allowed to pursue whatever base is currently dwelling at their hungry stomach. She finds gods to be conceited, hypocritical, denying the privilege of emotion, in itself is something she also has the perception that gods are neither natural and nor should exist. That awareness, admittedly, was strange to her, but she's warmed to the idea, with each little patter of intelligence, through the years and culminating her strength.

She's far more direct than one might assume, for someone oh-so-subtle, confrontation she's willing to play the more dominant hand and securing victory with brute strength. A hunger to win, so to speak, but she can rein in this— Ue's got a dislike for senseless chaos, a contradiction, on occasion at her core and when dealing with gods.

"Greed is your right, your justification, your virtue, and never your restraint."

Strengths/Virtues - Ue herself encourages liberation, free yourself from the mortal binds of conceived mortality and undo the chains. She likes control, maintaining that over a series of mastered steps and playing the devils advocate in that sweet friend, who pushes you ever so lightly.

She's far more aware than one might think, and she uses that to her advantage.

Weaknesses/Flaws:
X
Hypocrite - she's a dozen conflictions existing in one body.
X Hungry - for results, victims, she doesn't play nice when she's hungry, and far more prone to acting reckless and domineering, with her wants.
X Independence - Her need to maintain control, can put her at odds with other phantoms, she doesn't play nice when she doesn't have her fingers in the cookie jar.
>She isn't the type to be denied.

Current Relationships:
To be decided;

Fears: Ceasing to exist, losing control and most notably, losing her intelligence.

History: A little phantom, Ue would describe herself, festering in shadows but a hunger, unsated that ever spun from her— humanity's greed is what allowed Ue to evolve and her understanding of the world through that particular emotion. Feeding on the greedy humans that wanted to much; other phantoms that craved and needed; pure spirits, unknowing in such desires, eventually, she came together into one, after razing the human world and ascending — gathering her strength. But she moved slowly, through one year through the next, whispering, beckoning and enticing, greed, ah such an intoxicating emotion. Ue's gained something of a reputation amongst older gods, smart in avoiding detection and picking her specialized pallets, villages, or gathering together underneath other Phantoms. AFAH, accelerated some of that growth, humans, who thought themselves on par with gods and greedy for that image- she developed on that little niche alone and spun the madness from those that push for the gods' extinction. Meddling in the wanton impulses of those that needed, what graced Ue into finally clicking into some awareness. She was no longer a phantom that hid because she didn't know any better, she was now an active player and with greed to have more power.

Special Abilities,

Multiply
- Ue can multiply herself into clone, objects, recreating more of an existing object and tallying that up underneath her greedy fingers. She can create a maximum of eight clones— to which she can switch places with, but sadly, are prone to physical attacks and are weakened to blunt or sharp objects, etc. She can manipulate what she creates around her, such as creating more knives and launching; an example of what she can do. This ability is limited when she is weakened.

Consumption— She can be temporarily empowered when feeding on a great source of power [spirtual human/priest] and heightens her physical abilities, but in doing so, she burns and exerts her precious energy. Consuming too much can make her addicted and can devolve Ue into a pre-enlighted state.

Just focused on hunger and hunger alone.

God
c64b0cbbe0c6a165ef1824cca30d5cd8fd07aa74_hq.jpg

Name: Kami_X

Alternative Names/Title: Hacker God, Patron God of Hackers, Kami-sama_X, Lord of Information Larceny (self proclaimed).

Age: 40 (Appearance-wise, he seems to be around 18-22)

Gender: Male

Personality: A cheerful, light-hearted jokester with a slight mean streak when it comes to teasing others, Kami_X doesn’t actually intend serious harm unless it’s a person he hates. To people who get his humor, he is easy-going and fun, but to others he may come off as frivolous and annoying. Kami_X is always looking for entertainment and can get quite nosy when it comes to things that catch his interest. He tends to look into/steal obscure information just for the sake of it and is open to learning new things (especially funny things). He also enjoys pranking people, but doesn’t much like it when he himself is pranked. Though he doesn’t say it to their faces, Kami_X does consider himself smarter than many others. Therefore, if he meets someone who challenges him in the brain department, he can’t help but complete. As smart as he thinks he is, Kami_X is also an impulsive thrill-seeker. He likes games, solving puzzles/mysteries, cats, unhealthy snacks, superhero action figures (he has a collection), anime, and funny/interesting people. He dislikes overly serious people, boring people, cleaning, an overly clean house, rules, excessive sunlight, and lettuce. Despite all that, Kami_X is a surprisingly social otaku and good at networking because of his easy-going manner.

Wish from which you were born: Kami-X was born from the wish of a school drop out and computer geek named Yuto Mori who wanted to be the best hacker/cracker in the world.

History Kami_X was the username of a former Shirotome High student called Yuto Mori. The god didn’t have a name when it was born. It simply lived inside Yuto Mori’s computer screen, assisting his father whenever boy hacked something for fun/practice. The school website. Certain business operating systems. Government firewalls. The unnamed god learned about the world from watching his father. Together they worked towards reaching Yuto’s goal via Kami_X. However, the human would pass away before reaching the pinnacle of his dreams. Feeling regret that he was unable to protect his father, the god took the name Kami_X as his own to continue the man’s work and carry out his dream. Truthfully, Kami_X wasn’t sure what else he should do. He took on hacker requests that were meant for Yuto. Stole classified on various agencies for various agencies. By answering these wishes he was able to keep the mysterious hacker Kami_X in their memories…for a short while, at least.

He eventually settled in Shirotome High since it seemed to be a place dear to his father’s heart. Specifically, he settled in the computer club that the man used to be a part of and helped its members when he could. Other times he’s just messing around. Occasionally he’d meet people that notice him—like the computer club leader—and other times he’s content to remain invisible. He’s met various spirits his life though he has yet to get serious about any one of them and his lifestyle of hermitting himself in front of a computer screen for days on end is not to everyone’s taste. He was one of the first gods to notice the rise of AFAH, as well as anti-faith sentiments, on the net and visited the local shrines to warn them since he himself didn’t have access to Heaven. While he was too weak to really participate in the fighting, Kami_X kept himself informed of human, as well as god, activities through his wide cyber information network and gained admiration for the gods that could do what he couldn’t. He mainly deals with phantoms that gather around computer screens or digital devices, occasionally borrowing the regalias from other gods, though only if they bother him or the ones he cares about. Otherwise he doesn’t bother and, unlike many of the older gods, he doesn’t have much against phantoms.

Legend: Kami_X is an urban cyber myth localized in the Kyoto Prefecture. One of the 12 mysteries of Shirotome High and only really known to those who delve deeply into the world of hackers, crackers, and internet security. Even then, many these experts are skeptical as to whether such a being, who exists in cyber space, could truly exist. A god born of the internet that answers the prayers of those who want to successfully crack a difficult code or acquire specific information. An un-beatable hacker. A mysterious username that popped up every now and again on the school’s website to alter data, reveal dirty secrets, or just hang out. People have tried to search for the identity of this mysterious username with little success, leading to the legend. Some believe him to be a genius programmer from Shirotome High who died and became a god. Supposedly leaving a prayer to Kami_X on the school website will yield positive results. Members of the computer club occasionally claim to be feel as if they were “possessed” by Kami_X right before completing a particularly complicated program or winning a coding/hacking competition. However, Kami_X isn’t exactly a benevolent god either, since those that drew his ire would find viruses in their electronic devices, information stolen, and their secrets revealed on the school website. In some cases, the devices my stop working altogether. Since he has also been associated with malfunctioning technology, thievery, and cyber stalking, he is arguably a god of calamity as well.

Current Relationships: TBD, though he has a one-sided rivalry with Tenjin, God of Scholars, and maintains an affable relationship with the spirits around Shirotome High (sort of). He also visits the Fushimi Inari Shrine every New Years, so he's familiar with Inari.

Strengths/Virtues:
  • Hacking/cracking
  • Coding
  • Computer expert
  • Smart
  • Easy-going
  • Light-hearted
  • Knowledge-able and likes to keep himself well-informed
  • Social
  • Determined
Weaknesses/Flaws:
  • Frivolous
  • Impulsive
  • Cleaning
  • Nosy
  • Unhealthy eating habits (though since he’s a god it doesn’t matter too much)
  • Slightly chaotic
  • Easily lies
  • Stubborn.
  • Competitive when his brilliance is being challenged.

Special Abilities: He can travel between computer screens and other digital devices, stealing information or just breaking things.

Fears: A world without anime, computers, or humor. He also finds excessively clean places creepy.

Shrine: Doesn’t have one yet, though he’s been egging the computer club leader to build him a website shrine, since it doesn’t count if he makes one himself apparently. If he’s not in someone’s computer, then he’s resting in Yuto’s old apartment or the clubroom closet (which is surprisingly large)

Regalias: TBD

Followers/Worshippers: Members of the Shirotome High Computer club. Some hacker/cracker geeks.

Clan Name: He hasn’t decided on one yet, but since he doesn’t even have a clan yet, he figures it can wait.

Others:
  • He has great respect for Tenjin, who he considers to be quite brilliant, and constantly challenges the old god to shogi whenever they meet. Still hasn’t won yet, but he swears he’s getting closer every time.
  • He always caries a laptop with him. It’s an old model that belonged to his father, but it holds a special place in his heart.
  • Even though he’s a god, he does offer his prayer gods when he wants something and practices Hatsumode
  • Kami_X picked up many human habits from watching his father.

Multiform (Shadow Element)
When called upon by her god, Kokoro becomes a long, black scarf made of pure darkness, its form always in flux.

Blessed?:
Has the potential

Malicious.full.1306560.jpg
Abilities:
Shadow Form Control
Kokoro and the god that uses her are able to control the size, shape, and density of her regalia form. She can stretch out to several yards and grab things, become hard as iron and block attacks, or become thin as a blade and slice through steel, allowing her to be both a defensive, an offensive, and a utility vessel. Each end of the scarf can be given a separate form with reduced effectiveness, allowing her god to wield two different tools at once (such as a sword and shield). However there are a few limits...

1) Can not become complex mechanisms, like cars or guns.
2) Can not separate pieces from herself. So can not become a projectile weapon.
3) Can not extend more than about ten feet from her god
"I know a lot. Some might say too much."

Personality:
"I'm a perfect angel, I'll have you know. Shit. Couldn't say it with a straight face."
At first glance, Kokoro can come across as a sarcastic bitch. She gets angry far too easily and always seems to expect the worst. She is very blunt and seems to have an insult for everyone she meets, though they usually fall under the category of bitch, asshole, idiot, or nerd. Once you get under the surface though, she is a kind hearted person who is always concerned about the safety and well being of others. She can't pass up the opportunity to help others, though she will complain about it the entire time.

To say that she hates the gods would not be too far a stretch. She feels that the gods are not active enough in their hunting of the Ayakashi. If they were, the man she saw last month would not have listened to the phantoms and would not have killed himself. The spirit she tried to save the other day would not have been devoured by the monsters. That her family would not have been attacked, because that man was being influenced by the phantoms.

That's right, I said her family. Kokoro is a bit of an anomaly in that she actually has some memories from when she was alive. Mostly her family but the most important bit, and the strangest, is that she remembers the circumstances leading up to her death. She is well aware of how weird and dangerous this is so keeps quiet about it, not wanting others to shun her or worse, try to remember themselves.
Biography:
"I remember... a few things about my past, more than most spirits should from what I understand, and I'm not eager to learn more. I used to be, but... I've seen first hand what happens when a spirit remembers too much. Let me tell you, it's fucking terrifying. Nothing is worth that. Nothing.

In the end though, it doesn't really matter what my history is. The past is the past. It doesn't affect my now. All that matters is that I died protecting my loved ones, and I'm damn proud of that."

How long did she wander? A spirit, unaware that it was no longer alive, following the same routine? Had it been a few days? A few months? She had no idea, but one day it just clicked. She was dead. How? When had it happened? What about Yuko and her mother? Were they safe? What was her name? What kind of a person had she been? She needed to know.

She began searching for her past. Visiting places she remembered, looking for hints of her mother and sister. She came close. She found her mother's workplace. The school her sister was going to. The neighborhood they lived on. But as she walked down the street to the house that she would find her family in, the house where she would find the truth, fate intervened.

She watched as a spirit learned their name and turned into a monster right in front of her. Realizing that she risked the same thing happening to her if she continued, she ran away and stopped digging into her own past. Over the next several weeks she chose the name Kokoro for herself and began to learn about this world she now lived in, the correlation between the phantoms and negative emotions, and the gods. Feeling that the gods were not doing a good enough job hunting the phantoms, Kokoro took it upon herself to protect people from them, attacking small ones that whisper in the ears of the living and drawing off the larger ones that harass other spirits. She even set up a safe house for wandering spirits recently, but how long is it going to last?
(What she remember is in bold)
Born to a small family in the center of Tokyo, the first half of Masami life was what you might call perfect. Both her parents, her father Ryota and her mother Masuyo, worked well paying jobs and Masami had everything she could ever have wanted. She had friends, toys, pets, cute clothes, and the best schooling money could buy. When her little sister Yuko was born, it was the best thing that could ever have happened. Rather than seeing the baby as a rival, something that would steal her toys and the already scarce attention of her parents, Masami looked at her and saw a small, defenseless child in need of love. The little girl swore to the gods that she would protect her new little sister. Sadly fate would give her a chance to keep her promise not long after she turned ten.

Her father's business failed and slowly began to fall into bankruptcy. Her mother began working harder and staying at work later while Ryota began coming home drunk every day. One night Yuko accidentally broke a vase and their father began to beat her in a drunken rage. Without thinking, Masami leapt on him, trying to pull him off her little sister. It worked and the man turned on her instead.

Masami told her mother that she had gotten in a fight with another kid at school. She could have told her mother what happened. She really could have. The thought had crossed her mind. But Masami still loved her father and feared what would happen if she told on him. As weeks went by and the incident repeated itself, she realized that she would need to go to greater measures to protect Yuko. She began swearing around her father, breaking things around the house, actually getting into fights at school, and intentionally failing tests, anything to draw his anger away from Yoko and towards him. This went on for three years before her mother discovered what was happening.

Horrified, Masuyo divorced Ryota and took the girls to Kyoto. Their quality of life dropped significantly as Masuyo was now a single mom trying to raise a family, but the girls didn't mind. Yuko was safe and Masami no longer had to play the role of the child delinquent. She turned her attention back to academics, started making friends again, and began passing school with flying colors. She graduated high school a year early and began studying criminal law at Kokugakuin University, to prepare for a career in the police force.

During her second semester at college, Masami found the door to her home open and heard screams inside. Rushing in, she found her mother unconscious in the kitchen and her father standing over Yuko, viciously beating her. Ryota had found them. He had become obsessed with Masuyo and blamed the girls for destroying their relationship. And he had come to fix that.

Masami charged him in an attempt to protect her sister and during the struggle Ryota manage to get a hold of a kitchen knife and stabbed it into her gut. Yuko screamed and he turned on her, wrapped his hand around her neck, and began to choke her, fully intending on killing her. In a blind rage Masami tore the knife out of her stomach and leapt onto her father's back, stabbing the knife into his chest. The knife pierced his heart, killing him nearly instantly. Her mother called the emergency services, but by the time they arrived Masami had already passed away.

Affiliations:
Nora
The spirit who taught her most of what she knows about the afterlife and the gods. He can usually be found living under the Rainbow Bridge.

"Limbo"
A safe place for wandering spirits. At first it was simply an abandoned house that Kokoro had set up base in, but once she started gathering fellow spirits under her roof it started to evolve into a safehouse. She researched shinto protection rituals and put up makeshift barriers around the house, set up holy water traps, and did her best to fix the holes. Currently there are three other spirits living there, with her being the unofficial leader of the group.
- Sako (little girl)
- Osamu (young man)
- Mishi (young woman)

Motivation(s):
"Kicking ass and laying down the sass! That's what keeps me going!"
Kokoro is motivated primarily by three things. 1) Anger. The more pissed off she gets the harder she works. 2) She is fairly competitive. Give her a challenge and she will have a hard time saying no. 3) Above all else, she is driven by a need to protect others. If she sees or hears someone in need of help, she will rush to their aid, regardless of her own safety.

Aspiration(s):
"Don't tell anyone, but when I was younger I always loved the stories of knights and princesses. But I never wanted to be the princess. No no. I wasn't going no damn damsel in distress. I wanted to be a knight. I was going to be the f***ing hero, fighting evil, protecting the weak, chosen of the gods. Hell, I was probably the only kid in the city who knew exactly what she wanted to be when I grew up. I was going to be a cop.

Even after I grew too old for fairy tales, stopped seeing the world in black and white, and even stopped believing in the gods, my dream to be a cop never changed. Even now that I'm dead, I suppose that hasn't changed. I just want to protect people."

"One last thing..."

Name:
Chisato Amai

Gender:
Female

Age:

16

Appearance:
ChisatoFC2.png
ChisatoSheet.png
With a stature of 5'2 feet/157cm, this girl radiates nothing less than the aura of a snob from looks alone, always looking like she had been invited to a tea party. From her various frilly dresses made from high-quality designers down to even simpler outfits like a dress-jumper and a blouse with puffy sleeves, yet even these would be priceless for lower class people. Regardless, Chisato does enjoy to wear any hue of brown in her outfits and, unintentionally, giving her appearance resemble mint chocolate. Her hair is quite unique as well and Chisato always makes sure that this is brushed and neat every morning before going out, as she believes good image is important. Her hair consists of a length right above her shoulders and her natural waves adorning the lower parts with her straight bangs being tilted from the upper left and down across her forehead. She also carries a low-hanging antenna that, no matter how many times she flattens this, is never able to fully integrate into her other strands, so leaves it like it is. Yet, even though Chisato likes to act way more mature than her age, she can't help but doll herself up with childish, girly accessories like a couple of hair clippings on her bangs, or making a low side ponytail with a flower accessory.

If her hair or snobbish aura wasn't the first thing someone noticed about her, next it would be her colorless irises and her eyes being a straight-on gray which contrasts her bright, minty hair and red accessories on her. Her gaze constantly has a focused, serious expression on it and, if angry enough, these gray eyes would cut anything it was on her sight if it could. Her skin is fair and soft to the touch, though most wouldn't even know that last part as Chisato doesn't enjoy being touched.

Even with her try-hard attitude and formal wear, the mint haired always carries a hint of childishness on her whether if it's from her "tea party" dresses, her height, her accessories or a combination of all of them, but Chisato always tries to maintain a high-class image on regardless of the situation.

Occupation:
AFAH member. Technically.
Transfer High School Student in Kyoto.

Nationality/Ethnicity:
Asian/Japanese.

Personality:

All work and no play makes Chisato a very unsociable girl to be around. Chisato, despite being young for her age, is extremely serious and hardworking in anything she does. She always tries to go high and beyond expectations and is quite diligent with her studies and responsibilities, choosing to do things early than procrastinate. Because of this, she's judgmental of those who are lazy on their duties or do as little work as possible. Yet, this serious image of hers is incredibly fragile and she's quick to break from her high-class image. Chisato is very easy to tease and fluster and gets angry easily as well, not being afraid to shout her complains towards the teasing person. She's also extremely emotional and, in simpler words, a crybaby. The Japanese girl can cry about the simplest things and she absolutely hates that fact about herself as she always nags at herself internally if her eyes start to tear up from anger, happiness or even embarrassment.

The girl tries hard to keep a respectable image in front of others, though unconsciously making her seem unapproachable. She isn't looking for friends, regardless, since she would prefer using her free time in lonesome peace, which is a rare occasion due to the phantoms always trying to get to her. Even if she was approached by someone, her social skills are so poor from being homeschooled most of her life that Chisato would come off as harsh or way too formal for a normal person. Yet, no matter how serious and mature Chisato tries to act, she always tends to unconsciously come off as childish in slight things like a fascination for animal plushies or having a sweet tooth. Chisato is a perfectionist, and like any others she's extremely critical of her own work more than anyone else's, though isn't afraid of giving out criticism to others even if it was unasked for. She's constantly looking to perfect her skills as a student and lady, never thinking it's enough. Being so hardworking, though, makes Chisato know no fun or have a social life like a girl of her age would. She doesn't understand those who are carefree and outgoing and actively avoids large crowds to not socialize or catch an unwanted phantom's attention. Regardless, Chisato isn't shy and is willing to talk to others as long as her demeanor doesn't bother them, but the conversation would probably be short as the mint haired girl would prefer to do work over hanging out. Because of doing something most of the time, Chisato gets agitated when she's not doing anything.

Since she was raised with a mentality of an atheist due to being related to AFAH, the girl is in a constant denial of the multiple apparitions she, and no one else, sees and always initially tries to ignore these phantoms, though the cheeky bastards always manage to tease Chisato into giving them attention. After the interaction, the girl goes to her usual routine of ignoring them again, leaving the place and go to another place, sometimes even doing this multiple times a day. Admittedly, Chisato is very unsure of her own beliefs at this point. In one hand, she was raised at 6 years old to not get involved with Religion and that those were just "Fairytales", but in the other hand there were these mythical creatures she had seen and interacted with for years and kept saying that these stories were true. As of now, Chisato decides to stick with her parents and scratch everything only she can see as her own mind playing games on her, ignoring the inexplicable things that had happened to her. She just thought that reading many books gave her a creative mind, and so did her parents when her younger self had initially told them about it. I mean, what sane person would listen to their imagination rather than their parents? Not her! Though, even if she doesn't want to admit it, Chisato has major curiosity about her condition and has secretly wished to learn more about religion and these creatures deep down.

Background/History:
Born into a wealthy family, Chisato had always been spoiled with toys and affection from her parents as she was a single child. While the girl had been blessed with a good lifestyle, with the years coming her parents had gotten more and more busy as their workload from the AFAH organization kept piling up. Eventually, the mint haired girl was spending more time with her butler and maids than her parents, yet she didn't mind much in the beginning since she had her "Imaginary Friends" to keep her company as well. With elegant and high-class living conditions, Chisato adapted to her image since little and had developed into quite the diligent little girl with refining and formal manners. Being home schooled for most of her life, the japanese girl always did her work the day it was assigned and even sometimes pushed to be given more work to do, which was weird since it came from a young kid, but Chisato spent most of her free time reading or playing indoors with her "friends" than going outside.

Once the Faith vs. Anti-Faith war started, the little girl wasn't allowed to go to Shrines or sacred places in relation and up to this day hasn't set a foot into one, only knowing how they look through pictures. Some maids and helpers who had faith quit their jobs at the reveal of the heads of the house being part of the war and even tried to persuade Chisato into leaving as well, but, obviously, a little girl wouldn't abandon her parents for something she didn't even fully understand and especially was confused since some of her imaginary friends kept denying her parents as well. Eventually, she confronted her parents about what the ex-maids and the spirits kept telling her, but she was only met with a nagging and a warning to not believe such things. Perplexed, all Chisato could do was nod and listen to her parents as they constantly told her to not listen to "faithful" people and ignore them. Little did they know is that this technically also included the spirits that constantly followed Chisato. At first, the little girl just blindly followed into her parents' steps as an AFAH member since she was directly related to the organization but kept listening to her "imaginary friends", but as she kept growing up with the same environment and exposure she started to wholeheartedly have the same beliefs as her parents and learn to ignore people who thought otherwise, including her imaginary friends.

But while less and less faithful people were around with each passing year, the spirits that Chisato kept seeing just kept increasing. Some of them even had charged at her, but she had always lost conscience somehow and they were gone. Chisato always scratched this as just a lucid dream and moved on with her day, though deep down being very concerned about these apparitions the more this happened. Why was she the only one who saw them? Even pointing at the creatures while telling her parents to look didn't work and only gained her an earful of growing up and stop playing with imaginary friends. Because of this, Chisato started to turn a blind eye to the spirits that tried to talk to her and this kept going for weeks before, suddenly, those friendly spirits she had being friends with since little disappeared. The girl had a sigh of relief as she thought she stopped seeing these creatures, but it turned out that only those specific spirits has vanished out of thin air. She hadn't attempted to look for them and still hasn't to this day, but Chisato can't help but sometimes wonder where they had gone and if they would be back, but she quickly erases such thoughts and continues to attempt to ignore these spirits.

Once Chisato turned 16, most of AFAH had dispersed and the organization fell apart after 10 long years, her parents being the only few people who remained with such strong belief along with others. Admittedly, Chisato was somewhat glad that it was all over and now she was able to continue her homeschooling like normal...this was not including those pesky spirits that taunted her constantly, but focusing on work and responsibilities helped Chisato into ignoring them and this led to her being a workaholic of sorts. Though, homeschooling would soon end for her abruptly. The girl had noticed this since the first day, but a small creature had attached itself to he head of her homeschool teacher. Obviously, she couldn't really tell him that there was a creature that was seemingly nibbling the older man's head and continued their sessions for the following days. Yet, the creature seemed to grow in size with each passing day as well as the attitude of the man to become weird. What was before a patient and bright elder man soon turned into a strict hag who denied to help Chisato in her studies anymore. Obviously, the girl was extremely concerned with his behavior and the fact that the dark creature was growing in size, but she was unable to tell her parents about her teacher as they were constantly out to revive AFAH and even if she could, they weren't in the position to lose another helper in their house. They had lost majority of their maids and money seemed to start being a concern as well, so Chisato couldn't do much but ask about his well being and only being met with a sour answer. After a few days, the girl, to her surprise, was informed that her former teacher had suddenly ran in front of a moving train and committed suicide. Obviously, Chisato was deeply saddened by this but, as much as she wanted to cry, she convinced herself that she couldn't help him in any way. Yet, deep down hasn't completely shaken off that feeling that she could've done something.

Since Chisato was unable to be homeschooled anymore, this led to the girl transferring to a high school nearby to continue her studies. The atmosphere of the school was incredibly uncomfortable for the girl as she began her new student life. The amount of noise and people gathered all in one place was annoying for Chisato, but eventually had gotten somewhat used to it by now and doing her duties, and more, helped her ignore her surroundings, though those spirits managed to tease her plenty of times at different occasions and one occurrence even happened during a class. Her student life isn't necessarily bad, but she does have several rumors that make her be somewhat known to the student body. Rumors of her homeschool teacher being the one who jumped towards the train, or her not being rich anymore, or even that she's related to AFAH were mostly circulating around her grade year, but Chisato never confirmed nor denied said rumors and still hasn't. She had better things to do than pay attention to such rumors like her homework, or trying harder to not satisfy those cheeky creatures into giving them any sort of attention.

Currently, Chisato is trying to live her life as she constantly ignores and disregards those people with faith almost like pure instinct, but the torment and teasing of those spirits and phantoms she sees not only sour her mood and contradict her beliefs, but deep down make her gain a curiosity for these creatures as well, though obviously she would never admit and acknowledge such thing. These creatures are just her imagination after all, right?

(?!)
Chisato is unaware of this, but if she's in danger or in a concerning situation with a phantom charging towards her she's able to create a round shield that surrounds her. The shield acts like a bubblegum or balloon of sorts and the shape moves with pressure, like a finger poking a balloon. This shield only lasts for around 5 minutes but it's was enough time for the non-human-like phantoms to get bored and seek another target. Chisato isn't able to control this and it's more like a flight-or-fight mechanism that doesn't always appear. Afterwards, the girl tends to lose consciousness for 10-30 minutes before waking up without recollection of what happened, hence why she's unaware of this power.

Spiritual Human
Ryo New 2.2.pngName: Hirai, Ryotaro

Gender: Male

Age: 17

Occupation: Spirit Detective (self-proclaimed), Student

Nationality/Ethnicity: Japanese

Personality: As one would expect of a self-proclaimed detective, Ryo excels at keeping his cool. Aside from a few stressful situations involving the lovely visitors from the Far Shore, not much fazes him. Remaining composed on the inside and out helps keep up the image of a confident person who seems to have all the answers, but it's really just a result of being too lax.

His business is important to him, but he's not about all work and no play. He has a playful attitude, preferring to make things enjoyable for himself whenever he can. Unless the situation demands he be serious, he'll keep wearing his usual smirk and act like he doesn't have a care in the world. Naturally, some people aren't too fond of this.

While it's not easy to wipe the smile from his face, Ryo seems to have a talent for getting under people's skin. Fond of teasing people, he can sometimes find himself on someone's bad side, intentionally or otherwise. Still, it's always in good fun, so he doesn't let himself get carried away by some of his more sadistic tendencies. He mostly chooses to use his way with words for good instead of evil.

Ryo is a gifted speaker and can usually find the right words to achieve the results he wants. He's crafty and quick on his feet, which gets him out of trouble just as much as he gets himself into it. However, as smart as he is, he has a habit of ignoring the rational side of his brain and listening to instinct when money is involved.

Ryo is a greedy guy. His main goal is to make as much money as possible. As long as he doesn't consider it to be too immoral, he'll do pretty much any job if the pay is good. Self-respect and pride aren't as important as getting the bills paid. If money falls out of your pocket, he's the type of guy to hide it under his foot and play dumb. However, things change if Phantoms are involved. He's normally pretty indifferent to them, but he knows to stay away from the dangerous ones. If he can tell a job is beyond him, he's more than willing to run away and let someone else take care of it.

Despite his flaws and some questionable motivations, Ryo actually does want to help people. Even if he won't talk about his own feelings very much, he'll lend someone an ear if they need it. He's stubborn, but if he decides to help someone, he'll see it through to the end. He can't ignore someone that's in need if they have nowhere else to go, even if he doesn't get any money out of it. Although, he might ask for an IOU.

Background/History: For as long as he could remember, Ryo had been able to perceive things that other people could not. He could hear voices that normally fell on deaf ears and see figures that were invisible to everyone else. He saw a world nobody else did, but that was normal for his family. Those with Hirai blood flowing through their veins were closely connected to the spiritual world.

The only other person who carried the Hirai name was his father, a spiritual counselor who did his best to help the people in his community. His father spent every day passionately teaching him about their family history and the world that existed alongside theirs. When he wasn't learning about things that had to do with gods and spirits, he observed his father's work as a counselor. Almost everything he did involved the occult in some way, but Ryo didn't have any particular interest in it. He didn't inherit his father's passion. As he would later find out, that wasn't the only difference between them.

Despite sharing the same blood, his father's sensitivity to the supernatural was much weaker. He couldn't see the unseen or hear the unheard. At most, he'd get an odd feeling when in the presence of something otherworldly. Even with strong beliefs and vast knowledge, he couldn't view the world as Ryo did. Ryo had been told all his life that he was normal, but there wasn't anyone who could truly understand him. To avoid feeling out of place in his own home, he never told his father how clearly he could see the visitors from the Far Shore. Instead, he tried to ignore the things right in front of him.

When AFAH swept across the nation, Ryo became more annoyed by the things he could see. The growing conflicts and persecution of believers made his life more difficult, and it became harder to ignore the things he pretended not to see. For a while, he thought it would be nice if gods and Phantoms disappeared altogether, keeping the dead out of the affairs of the living. Of course, his father didn't see things that way. The man spent every day trying to undo the damage caused by the outbreak of violence, choosing to repair shrines and offer his support to other believers. His actions earned ire from many, taking a toll on his already exhausted body. The negativity surrounding him kept growing to the point where Ryo could see the physical manifestation of despair clinging to his back. No matter how much he tried to convince him to stop, his father kept moving forward.

Combined with the influence of Phantoms attracted to his negative emotions, the accumulated stress resulted in his father dying from overwork. Soon after, Ryo was placed in the care of his uncle, one of his few remaining relatives on his mother's side. He spent a long time trying to understand his father and why he would push himself so far. He wondered if his dedication came from a desire to form a deeper connection with the things he couldn't see. Maybe it was a desperate attempt to become a part of the world the rest of his family lived in.

While he never had much interest in the spiritual world, Ryo still wanted to protect the things his father held dear. One of those things was his business. To keep the old office from closing down, he decided to reopen its doors and run things himself. While his uncle was technically the new owner, it was his responsibility to make sure the place didn't go bankrupt. Although, accomplishing that was easier said than done.

In an attempt to breathe more life into the business during a time when spiritual belief was being met with opposition, Ryo began marketing himself as a detective who'd take on any case. However, most of his requests these days involve doing odd jobs for people around town. The only time he gets to do anything involving actual investigation is when the request involves missing pets or cheating spouses. However, there are times when desperate clients have nowhere else to turn and require someone with spiritual expertise. Those are the cases he looks forward to the most, seeing an opportunity to help someone in need and put his self-given title of "spirit detective" to use.

Current Relationships:
Hirai, Seiichi- Father (Deceased)
Morimura, Masayoshi- Uncle
Morimura, Ryoko- Mother

Strengths/Virtues:
  • Intelligent
  • Friendly
  • Compassionate
  • Dedicated
  • Openminded
  • Archery (former club member)
  • Caligraphy
  • Housework
Weaknesses/Flaws:
  • Greedy
  • Stubborn
  • Unlucky
  • Blunt
  • Fickle

Spiritual powers/abilities: Like his ancestors, Ryo inherited an ability referred to as the Divine Eye. Despite having such a powerful-sounding name, it doesn't do anything too crazy. Aside from being able to see spiritual beings such as Phantoms, he can see what he refers to as "remnants". Like an animal that leaves behind footprints, Phantoms leave behind remnants that can be tracked. There are times when he can predict the appearance of a Phantom from the pieces that collect before they fully appear. Outside of minor cases, chasing after Phantoms, isn't something he really enjoys doing, so the ability isn't very useful to him. The only real use he gets out of it is after they're already gone. By interacting with the remnants, he receives brief visions of what happened in the area when they were left behind. Although, he only see a few quick flashes before headaches start to kick in.

While he can interact with the spiritual world, the ways he can influence it are severely limited. Most of the time, he acts as counselor rather than a detective, trying to lessen the influence a Phantom has on a person by attempting to deal with the issues creating the negative emotions that attract it.

Name: Azani
Alternative Names/Title: The goddess of grudges and vengeance, Izanami's dark child, The daughter of Yomi
Appearance:
sample_e462c24031fe7c33993a316db791cdf1b5a33c6a.jpg

Age: she appears like a child 10 to 13/ real age thousands of years old
Gender: female
Personality: Azani presents herself differently to mortals as she does to gods , to mortals she is a threatening, but impartial deal maker that doe snot hide the strings of her deals. She doesn't truly pressure someone into making a deal but often will demand a name not long after she is summoned not letting a person think to long after they have made the effort to summon her. She views the summoning as the point of no return and while area she is rather disgusted at those who call her just to fail to not make a deal. She has carefully made sure to keep this image as she can not be seen as weak or less than what she is or else mortals might think they can try to change the deal on her.

To the god Azani is rather different, she can be rude, dismissive, and rather sarcastic. She is something of the black sheep or well bastard of her family as she does count Izanami as her mother and thus many gods and goddesses as brothers and sisters even if they don't. She uses this connection to mock many gods when she sees them and seems to take pride her dark reputation. her mouth has more than once gotten her into some trouble, though she often vanished back to Yomi rather than fight no matter the god. This can make her look like a coward to the gods given she seems to write a check she can't cash.

When she has a regalia her personality shifts depending on how long they have been around. When the first deals with them Azani seems to try to convince them of her dark reputation and will try to scare them off never just abandoning them and always removing her name from those that leave her. Her attitude is highly cynical and sarcastic dismissing their attempts to get close knowing they will leave in a short time. Azani also doesn't really see herself as one who should have a regalia as she can't uphold the master's side of the deal and thus is an unequal trade. Should a regalia stick around they might seen Azani open up revealing her weaknesses and even self hatred for what she does and her own wish that one day people would stop needing her.

Wish from which you were born: " I hate him he betrayed i hate ... i want him here i want him"

History/Legend: Azani like many was born from a wish, but not the wish of a human, the wish of a goddess. After Izanagi had betrayed Izanmi and broken the deal to not look back as they left yomi he had sealed her in the land of death. This betrayal of the deal they made and her love trapping her in the land of the dead sparked a desire and wish for vengeance to drag izanagi kicking and screaming down to her. This strong wish resulted in Izanami somehow birthing a new goddess giving her wish a physical form and creating Azani. It would be some time before Azani was in truth ready to start fulfilling her role and thus would stay some time in the land of the dead with her mother being told rather biased stories about the gods above.

In time she would come to the land of the living and as a goddess she needed to establish herself, thus she created her first deal with humanity. Using her connection to Yomi she could take someone there if the other party was to honor and pay her tribute. This deal has been revised and slowly altered with Azani herself adding in the important part of the wisher going to yomi as well after she found the deal lacked weight to it. This has lead to the current version which humans have influenced as well, she will send one target of your choosing that you hate, that you believe has wrong you to hell, but in return you too shall go to hell when you die additionally you must pay her honors and tribute should you fail to do so she will come to send you to hell early. The exact ritual she has used to contact her has changed and she has used her followers to spread out the newest version from time to time.

Current Relationships: She doesn't get along well with heaven often taunting them and to some insulting the higher ups like her " Dear sister Amatarasu". Really she only gets along well with her mother.
Strengths/Virtues:
She is honest, she doesn't sugar coat her deal or hide it's implications and is not the biggest fan of word games.
She is impartial, Azani when called for will not judge one for who they wish to send to hell
She is honorable and will not renege on the deals she makes if she says something she tends to mean it.
Weaknesses/Flaws:
She can be quite greedy and views those that have made a deal with her as hers thus it is a grave insult to her for them to seek the help of another god to get out of their deal.
She has a seeming lack of empathy remaining neutral never telling someone if their deal was right or wrong.
She has a very negitive view of humans, gods, and regalia making her a hard person to be around.
Special Abilities:
She can freely move between the world of the living and yomi.
Her covenant is something not shown in many other gods. her covenant to take a person to yomi often means killing them and taking their soul to hell and leaves the wisher with a black symbol upon them to mark them as hers.
Phantom resistance: having grown up in yomi and no doubt around phantoms Azani has more resistance to them than the average god, but not immunity.
Fears: her greatest fear is in truth becoming the monster she presents herself as. she also fears never being able to drag izanagi down to yomi for her mother.
Shrine: TBD none have ever made her a true shrine
Regalias: None she rarely keeps a regalia for long
Followers/Worshippers: She has many scattered worshipers, though their worship is part of a contracts and they try to keep it secret
Clan Name: doesn't keep anyone around long enough to actually have a clan
Theme Song:

Basic Information
Original Name
Yuri Kaneda
Spirit Name
Setsu
Vessel Name
TBD
Gender
She/her
Age
19
Age of Death
16
Role
Spirit
Appearance
Hair Color
Blonde
Eye Color
Amber
Height
5'3" (160cm)

Setsu usually wears oversized clothes, making her already skinny frame seem even smaller. Her fashion choices sway towards the boyish side, though she can appreciate a cute tee any day. The curves of her body aren't that defined and she looks like a malnourished teen, but her youthful round face with bright eyes says otherwise. Setsu despises the cold, so no matter how many layers she puts on on a rainy day in autumn or in the middle of winter, she'd be sure to express how cold she is. She usually keeps her wild blonde locks free, it reaches around her shoulders and is usually messy, leaving it to the wind to decide how her hair should be for the day.
Personality
Setsu's emotions can turn 180 in a flash. She is short tempered and can get easily upset. This is because she doesn't know how to treat others with affection. Thus, the blonde tends to put up a rude, confident front. Much like an adolescent teenager, her immature behaviour tends to be reckless and foul-mouthed paired with an equally antagonising glare. Behind her false cover, she’s sensitive and much more girly, and can be very shy admitting her actual thoughts and emotions. Though she can still be quite aggressive with both her words and actions when embarrassed.

Like an alley cat, Setsu loves to roam and linger around warm places. Since waking up, she has found herself drawn to all types of sweets and desserts. She doesn't need a taste to get a smile on her face, seeing it on displays or pictures on advertisements would get her eyes to brighten and cheeks hurting from the wide grin. She also loves watching chefs turn the ingredients into something beautiful, hoping she'd be able to one day do what they can. Sports is another thing she fancies. It didn't matter what kind, as long as she could be active. She likes that running can be turned into a game of tag or throwing balls can be a match to see who can throw the furthest. Childish, imaginative games like these are thoroughly enjoyed and she feels like it makes the day worthwhile.

Strengths
Independent, loyal, passionate
Weaknesses
Short-tempered, doesn't articulate her feelings well, stubborn
Fears
Cold, crowds, small/tight spaces, being eaten
Backstory
Setsu isn’t sure how long she’s been wondering as a spirit. Her earliest memory floating in a cold, dark void, until her eyes opened to find herself in the middle of the street. She didn't question how she got there and enjoyed the presence of people, the cute displays on shopfronts and the smell of delicious food. It was dusk before she knew it, parents were bringing their children home and the streets got quieter. It was then she realised she didn't know where her home was. Heck, she just noticed she doesn't remember her own name! Her moment of panic led her to try and ask someone if they could help.

No matter what she did, no one could see her, feel her. Setsu became desperate and scared but finding someone who could see her was the least of her worries. Eerie eyes started appearing on walls and they all seemed to follow her. Running in fear, she ended up in an empty temple. The creepy eye monster didn't seem to follow her there, so she decided to spend the night.

When dawn broke, spirits of different shapes and sizes eyed her curiously. Her surprised scream seemed to have scared them too as they jumped and huddled close together in a corner. Upon closer inspection, they were different to the eye monster from the night before. An older male soon appeared, complaining about the noise, as if just noticing the newcomer. The male, whom she calls "Jii-san", told her what they were and what she was now. Spirits, phantoms, and about gods and their regalias. Intrigued, she wanted to meet one and hope that they will treat her well.

God's Greatest Secret

Yuri was abandoned as a babe in front of an orphanage in the outskirts of Kyoto. The orphanage housed many boys and she was bullied and teased often by them. Growing up, she became a tomboy, hiding her interest in ‘girly’ things like sweets and cute clothes. She had to learn how to protect herself, being tough and starting fights on the streets. She usually loses and ends up bruised, bleeding and in the police station. Slowly but surely, Yuri got better at throwing a punch, and involved herself with the yakuza. When the orphanage found out, they kicked her out to the streets. She thought that she found herself a new home with the thugs, but she wasn’t respected in the group because of her gender. She proved otherwise with her agility and combat skills when one of the boys her age decided to teach her a lesson about why girls are weak. Beaten badly by whom he underestimated, he ran to the seniors of gang and played victim. The boy came back with a shit-eating grin, with rolled tissue clogging his bloody nose and a swelling black eye.

"Did you come back to get a matching black eye, shit-face?" She teased, cracking her knuckles to prepare for round 2. Her grin faded quickly when more gang members approached, surrounding her. Yuri clicked her tongue, "Coward."

She knew there was no way of her winning this battle, she had to run. Before she could take another step, the boy gave the command. "Get her!" Yuri did her best, she really did. Even getting in a few good punches in, but she was quickly held back to be a punching bag; punished for a crime against another member. Beating her unconscious, they chucked her body into an industrial meat freezer. It was their "prison", for the gang's miscreants to reflect and be sorry for whatever they deemed to be wrong. Broken, bruised and freezing, she couldn’t find the energy to lift herself off the cold floor. Her last conscious thoughts were, “I don’t want to die.”

Jii-san: A regalia that had lost his master, Setsu met him not long after she awakened in a temple. He shared his resources and taught her how to fend for herself.

A lightsaber decorated with yellow silk and a guard, this stainless steel paperweight only activates it’s lethal energy with a press of a hidden button. Setsu is able to influence the magnitude of the energy, though if not controlled it could scorch the user or not power up at all.

Sun Ray

With the right motivation, focus and faith in her god, the energy sword is able to lengthen to a proportionate amount. From anywhere from a spear’s length to the width of a whole crosswalk. The bright ray of light is sure to slice anything in its way, hence the name. Once activated it is hard for Setsu to return to normal, forcing her god to adjust their fighting style. It would take a lot of time and patience to sync both god and regalia to use this move efficiently in a battle.

Belly of the Beast

Setsu prides herself with her ability to eat dessert at any time of the day. She can even shove half a cake after a full meal! It's also remarkable she doesn't gain any weight. She is a spirit of the far shore after all and can enjoy sinful sweets without consequences.

Personality:
Naria is ambitious and unapologetic about it. She is sarcastic and prideful around others with what most would consider a bad attitude. Despite her behavior socially she is extremely anxious about her future, and is self loathing as a result of her progressing blindness. She is loyal to her friends and family and is eager to defend them should the need arise.
Background/History:
Naria is from a wealthy American family that runs a nation wide bank. She grew up on a silver spoon, but preferred physical activities over learning about her parents businesses. Thankfully her parents were supportive of her endeavors and had her trained in mixed martial arts and kickboxing by some of the top trainers in the country. She proved to not only enjoy but to thrive in this setting, reaching national finals in two highschool kickboxing events, and winning gold in one. She planned on going to college as per her parents request, and becoming a professional kickboxer or MMA fighter.
However her plans were shredded when she woke up and noticed some blurry areas in her vision. after it became progressively worse her family had her looked over by a optometrist who discovered she was suffering from a severe Juvenile macular degeneration (JMD) disease, her prognosis was poor and he believed she would either be entirely or mostly blind by 20. After a long discussion he recommended experimental treatments in japan involving stem cells and eye rod transplant treatments. Narias previously cheerful personality deteriorated as her eyesight has continued to get progressively worse, until it plateaued when she reached a status of legal blindness. Her family is still living in Japan with her and she has begun seeing sharp and clear creatures among her blurry vision, surely hallucinations based on their clarity.....
Current Relationships: TBD
Strengths/Virtues: Loyal, physically strong, and has a strong sense of justice
Weaknesses/Flaws: insecure, stubborn, blindness and oftentimes grating
Spiritual powers/abilities: Far shore clarity; despite her blindness for anything mortal, anything that comes from the far shore she can see with a shocking amount of clarity, and she can see through illusions if she focuses.

Negative emotions/sin you were born from: Madness
History: Who can say when Ny was born, after all how long has madness existed and is it the original spawn of madness or just another in a long line of children that humans have unknowingly made as they rejected and abused the mentally and physically infirm driving them into true madness. The past really doesn't matter Ny emerged with the other greater phantoms, though it has never really been seen in the company of other greater phantoms. Ny did fight a few gods here and there but despite injuring a few never managed to land a killing blow and always had to retreat. Then Ny vanished, but it is still out there doing seemingly random things as it works towards it's goal.
Current Relationships: (Describe the notable any notable ones you have with gods, humans, other phantoms, the heavenly army, etc. Can be left tbd.)
Place in the underworld: (optional)
Personality: Ny is very odd as befitting their bright from madness. While other phantoms might view gods as an enemy Ny doesn't instead they are lost kin needing only to be shown the way . When it comes to humans Ny can be different from human to human, sometimes it can be extremely nice and at other times it is extremely malicious. Ny is as strange as the many forms of madness, yet is not happy with just causing and spreading madness, that is far to boring, nor does it want to become a god, instead it wants to tear down the veil between the near and far shores. They also enjoy breaking into musical numbers that are often tangentially related to their situation.
Strengths/Virtues: Very creative, very deceptive, skilled at combat, unpredictable fighting style.
Weaknesses/Flaws: easily bored, inconstant, very unbalanced fighting style,
Fears: a stagnant world.
Special abilities: yomi vent opening, phantom command, Shapeshifting, Phantom cloak ( can hide their nature from others while in other forms), possession,

Name: Seiichi Tanaka
Alternative Names/Title: Patron deity of Rice, Agriculture, and Fertility
Appearance:
f2834484dbb87d8185cb99f3688e06b9.jpg

Slaine.Troyard.full.1809057.jpg

Standing at 5'6" and weighing at least 130 lbs, Seiichi has blue eyes that look green in some light and platinum blonde hair that can come off white to some. His skin is almost fair, but can get a least a tiny bit of a tan.

Age: At least 1,000 years old (he stopped keeping track), though physically looks no older than 20 years old
Gender: Male
Personality:

Seiichi is rather carefree, and doesn't outwardly worry about much of anything. If he were apart of a totem pole, he'd likely be closer to the base compared to other gods of things such as rice, agriculture, or fertility. He doesn't mind much, as long as he can continue to live and grant the wishes of others, then he's rather content. He likes to see humans thrive, but with the growth and reliance on technology he's a bit unsure of what it could mean for farming and agriculture as a whole.

Even so, he embraces technology as long as it doesn't consume or ruin lives, and as such has a phone on him for a few of his followers to contact him if needed. Other than that it's occasionally used for games.

Wish from which you were born:
"...I'm doing all that I can, but it's just not enough...these crops aren't enough...I don't want them to go hungry, please..."

History/Legend:

Born from a wish to protect the crops of a farmer, he came to be as a nameless child with bright young eyes, and hearing the man's pleas after he spent so much time struggling trying to provide for his family during the Heian Period, the young god heard his wish and would grant it to the best of his abilities. He spent quite a bit of time watching his Father work and playing with the local children every now and then. The name Seiichi came from one of his Father's children years later.

"You're the son of Sei, and our big brother. You're like a miracle to our family, you know." Was her reasoning, and one he came to like. From then on, and with some time, he grew a small following, protecting and guarding crops from the occasional Ayakashi that would pass the fields.

At one point, he began taking in quite a few regalia to make his wish granting easier until they felt unsatisfied with their god. Years as his regalia, and things felt stagnant and stale to them, repetitive and eventually stung him. It was a one time offence, and was rather small so he simply let it slide. They didn't tell him what was wrong for some time until asking to be released, and after careful thought he did. He wished them luck, and let them be on their way.

Every now and then he'd take in a Nora or two for jobs, though is still looking for a proper regalia himself. After the rise of AFAH and with his shrine destroyed, he's been more wary towards the war between the heavens and the Phantoms. While he supports the Heavens in the war, he doesn't completely agree with them (or some gods) on certain views or opinions.

Current Relationships: TBD
Strengths/Virtues:
Animal lover
Caring
Empathetic
Stronger than he looks
Adaptable
Friendly

Weaknesses/Flaws:
Animals (he wouldn't stay mad at a dog that'd bite him)
Humans (he thinks they're neat/has a soft spot for them)
Too trusting

Special Abilities: N/A
Skills/abilities:
-Seiichi can exorcise Ayakashi with the help of his regalia

-Like all gods, Seiichi can sever ties between others

-Seiichi can, to an extent, protect one's harvest, with proper payment of course. All he has to do is drive whatever phantoms are the cause away after all. That, or simply set up a boundary.

Fears:
-Being forgotten/fading away
-Losing a Regalia (through death)
-Losing another shrine
Shrine: He once had a small wooden shrine made by his father for him. Though it stood the test of time it was ultimately destroyed by a relative who, at the time, was a member of AFAH.

Regalias: TBD

Followers/Worshippers: TBD
Clan Name:
At some point in the beginning he used -da/-ta for his clan
Theme Song:

Other:
-He has a deep respect for other older agricultural gods (ex: Inari Okami and Ta-no-Kami), especially if they don't treat him as a child
Voice:

God’s Greatest Secret:

Kaze Merlin-Okamura was a young man who, unlike his cousin Dakari, liked to stay inside most days playing videogames, eating, and sleeping when not on the move doing this or that (or chores). His mother was originally from the States, having met her eventual husband during a trip to Japan. After some time of getting to know each other when one trip turned into staying abroad for a time, eventually the two married.

His early life was a blur, but one thing that would of always stood out was his cousin Dakari, who when not part of yearly visits, usually was eager to talk to his cousin over the phone or through video messaging in their later years. Once they became teens, staying in contact was a bit harder due to focusing on stuff like school and work. Growing up, he could always sense phantoms and spirits, but other than being aware of something being off or feeling as if he was being stared at he couldn't see them or really hear them outside of barely there whispers.

Once he reached high school, he simply assumed it was an active imagination or some kind of paranoia. He didn't have much of a goal after graduation, other than possibly attending college or simply working in retail or whatever other job suited him instead of going to higher education. He did consider going into game design, at one point and usually visited his friend in Shirotome High's computer club from time to time. Until he really had to worry about it, he spent most of his days like any other high schooler. Sometime during his second year, he had befriend and eventually dated a girl named Haruka. They hit it off well for a time, but eventually grew apart. At least, on his end. He broke up with her towards the start of their third year, and while he moved on from it pretty well, she did not.

He didn't talk to her much after the break up, said break up leading into what he had thought of as nothing more than a dumb argument. However, he didn't cut her off completely. At first, anyway. He'd greet her politely at school, but didn't go out of his way to speak to her other than that. At some point, she started texting him. Simple things about how he was and telling him to have a good night. Yet if he didn't respond, would continuously text and spam him. So, he blocked her and cut off all contact, especially after he'd get the feeling that whenever they passed in the halls, the very air around her felt chilled.

Weeks later, things got weirder than they usually did for him. Kaze felt as if he was being watched almost constantly, and made a habit of calling his friend Asahi on the way home from school, which usually kept him calm. He never asked Asahi to walk home with him however, since they lived rather far apart and he'd felt bad. Plus, he didn't want to ask him to stay over a lot outside of weekends.

One day, while talking to Asahi on the phone, he took his usual shortcut through an alley, walking a little faster in the hopes that he could get home sooner. He hadn't realized that someone had been following him until he had been grabbed from behind.

From there, a sharp pain. Over and over and over. Warmth and red staining his uniform as he stumbled out of the hold of who was behind him. He never got a clear look at their face, but he did get a glimpse of the stars on his way down.

"This could have been avoided...you didn't have to leave me!! This is your fault." Came the distant voice of Haruka, almost like a whisper.

Afterlife Experiences:

Two girls wearing school uniforms walk arm in arm, chatting amongst themselves until they come upon a dark alley, quieting as they begin to pass.

"Hey, didn't you hear about what happened?” the shorter of the two murmured.

"You mean the murder five years ago?" The taller asked, her voice sad. At this her companion nodded solemnly.

"Yeah... it's sad, really. Super creepy too. I think one of our classmates had a brother in the same grade." The shorter sighed, though turned thoughtful.

"Is that so?" The taller hummed, before the shorter nodded. The taller glanced into the alley briefly as they passed, before turning her head to her companion.

"Hey, during lunch why don't we…" her voice and the following conversation faded out as the two kept walking, unaware of the witness to their conversation.

A young man with messy black hair who had been passing by stopped when he overheard the conversation then followed curiously, before he blinked up at the building they were headed to.

"Shirotome High?" He muttered.

---

At some point, the young man once known as Kaze had wandered the halls of Shirotome, even a classroom or two briefly, five years after his death. He wandered for quite some time before he was named, and before meeting Mizuki some time after her god was killed during the continuous rise of AFAH, she taught him the very basics when it came to defending himself against Phantoms and other Spirits. Hearing about what it was like to lose a god and that gods were losing many Regalia, he offered his services for gods who wished to keep their Regalia safe from the more dangerous jobs and battles. Because of that, his first name became revoked, even so he decided to keep doing what he has and if a god wished to keep him then so be it.

Current Relationships:

a9dee7a159d25e4043b0e67701d698a5.jpg

Mizuki is a friend of his, as well as his mentor of sorts. The two have an almost sibling like relationship.

TBD

Personality:

Noga simply does his best with whatever task or job is given to him, whether it's helping the elderly cross the street or helping a god slay many strong looking Phantoms. His opinions on the gods themselves shifts depending on which god he's had to work with, as only a select few have kept him long enough for him to form some kind of solid opinion of them.

When it comes to the stigma against Noras, he ignores it to the best of his ability in an attempt to keep from blighting his masters. Really if he looks at it like a bunch of rumors being tossed around about him at work or something along those lines then it's easier to brush off as something he doesn't have to worry too hard about.

He's focused when on duty, but has a slight lazy streak when in a relaxed setting. He's still a teen after all, and sometimes he can't help but watch those of the living world who look his age, people watching in general is something he ended up gaining a small interest in, making up stories in his head about what someone's life might be like from studying their posture or how they talk.

Bounded God(s):
-Due to being a Nora, many of the gods that have named him never kept him for too long before releasing him once the task he's needed for is done. A few still use him every now and then for some tasks, though one or two of his older names have faded in the past ten years.

Spiritual Human
Name: Hiroki Niwa
Gender: Male
Age: 17
Appearance:
a715c0f360dad3b7190d530862a0102a.jpg

Hiroki stands at 5'1" with blue eyes and pink dyed hair. His original hair color was an ashen brown and his skin is on the fair side. He can more often than not be seen with light bags under his eyes from a messed up sleep schedule.

Occupation: Student
Nationality/Ethnicity: Japanese

Personality:

Hiroki has a bit of a cutsey way of speaking, usually doing so when he ultimately wants something from someone. His childish act is done to get someone's guard down, or at the very least, come off as someone who is ultimately harmless, which isn't completely the case. He isn't afraid to be honest with someone, nor is he afraid to hold back a snide comment or two depending on who he's talking to and how well he knows the person in question. Under the bubbly cute persona is a young man who wants attention and who's in need of either a strong cup of coffee or a good night's sleep every now and then.

Hiroki isn't very religious, while he acknowledges that the gods may or may not exist he's never prayed much other than when a family member got sick or for safety on trips whether it was him or anyone he knows. Even so, he personally thinks that the anti-faith sentiment were valid up to a point, and once it passed that point it was just plain stupidity on the extremists parts on both sides.

Background/History:

Hiroki is the middle child of the Niwa's three children, with an older brother and younger sister. He had always been a handful and wanted his parents attention moreso than his siblings, jealous that they were doted on more than him in his eyes.

Then he began to see phantoms clinging to people as he walked with his sister from school one day. One that looked like a little hamster on someone's shoulder met eyes with him and he pretended not to see it as he urged little Ayumu along so they could get home. While at the time he wasn't sure what it was exactly, the young man considered it a trick of his mind.

He kept seeing them from the corner of his eye, and found it hard to sleep most nights because that's when they seemed the most active and thought it was the best time to bug him.

Eiji went off to college abroad after graduation, so that left Hiroki as the oldest in the house. Once AFAH officially rose to power ten years ago, his parents urged their children to be careful when going to and from school, especially as some members of the group seemed to grow more violent at the time. He brushed it off as them worrying too much.

One day, Ayumu had gotten a cold, so that left Hiroki walking home alone. He stopped, hearing yelling and cursing from what sounded like a lot of angry adults near one of the shrines en route to his home. The seven year old thought there was some kind of fight going on and was unsure of what to do with the growing heavy tension in the air and began to cry when the usual hushed whispers became loud roars until a young man with platinum blonde hair across the street took notice and offered to walk him the rest of the way home.

Oddly enough, the young man didn't have any of those weird monsters around him, and even seemed to scare them away for a bit. He even smelled nice, like some kind of sweet bread his mom would buy. Clinging tightly to the elder boy's hand he let the other escort him, teary blue eyes peeking around the other curiously only to witness what had caused such a bad feeling to stir in the boy's gut. Blue eyes widened as the shrine to a god he didn't quite know was being torn apart and more monsters gathering in inky black droves as more yelling could be heard as a fight between those intent in tearing the shrine apart and those enraged at such an act seemed like the outcome the the escalating situation. The young man beside him urged him to move along, a saddened look on his face as his blue green eyes met his teary ones.

"It's best not to get involved, or let your curiosity get the best of you in a situation like this, it could get you hurt." He chided, before he frowned.

"Also, don't always take a strangers hand, okay? Some people aren't nice...especially if they have phantoms around them." He warned, earning a confused look from the younger.

"Phantoms? Like ghosts?" He sniffled and hiccuped, earning an amused snort from the other.

"More or less, but if they're ghosts, well, they're the mean kind." The other chuckled. The two walked in silence for a bit, the younger thinking deeply before he looked up at the other, brows furrowed.

"Nii-san, how come you can see them too?" He asked, earning an unreadable expression for a moment as they grew closer to his house. Stopping, the older released the young child's hand, bringing a finger to his lips and giving a sad smile as if he was telling a sad secret.

Unknown to Hiroki, he wouldn't remember this entire exchange, but the god before him would.

"Because, little one, I'm a god." The blonde replied, causing the little boy to whirl around to face him, his backpack swinging in the process.

"No way!" Hiroki immediately replied in disbelief. There was no way a god had walked him home, and he decided this guy was just messing with him.

"Ha, just keep what I said in mind alright? Now go on inside, it's getting stormy out." The blonde chuckled, poking the boy's forehead before ushering the younger towards his house as the first signs of rain began.

With more incidents of shrines being destroyed, his parents began escorting both him and his sister to and from school, and began to grow increasingly protective over their children, worried about them. Even as things settled down and AFAH eventually disbanded they still worried, since some of the more violent members with anti-faith sentiments were still out there even to this day.

Spiritual powers/abilities:
Nothing to serious outside of seeing and hearing the little technicolored bastards so far, as far as he knows. Sometimes he's experienced an 'extreme case of astral projection'-as least to him it seems that way. A light blue curled dog tail on his form is visible in these moments, and unbeknownst to him is his soul slipping from his body. His senses are heightened, and it appears he's stronger than the average human but hasn't tested anything out other than once throwing a book at a small phantom hard enough to put a hole in the wall of his room. He got scolded for it when his parents got back.

Name: Ekibiogami/Ekibio

Alternative Names/Title: God of sickness, illness, and pestilence

Appearance:
1607474944251.png

Age:
appearance~ 19 actual~ 163 (young for a god)

Gender: male

Personality: Very arrogant and lazy, and will even admit it himself. He doesn't show very much care for a lot of things, except when it comes to killing phantoms. He kills every phantom he sees on people so that they might remember him, by remembering the name on a card he leaves them. He's pretty much rude to everyone, but shows if he likes someone through actions instead of words, and will grow to like someone if they tolerate him. He also doesn't like being called Ekibiogami and prefers Ekibio, because he does not consider himself a god like the others. Even though he's often mean, he has a kinder side, especially when it comes to humans and many spirits (and animals-- especially cats).

Wish from which you were born: Wishes for health and longevity.

History/Legend: When he was a god with higher power, as punishments he had let deadly diseases swipe through the world. During the last wave he sent, his shrine was left in ruins. Now having no shrine, he decided to stop punishing the world to gain worship and instead started killing phantoms and helping humans. This did not get him many worshippers. After a time living like this, he had died, and was reborn at his one remaining shrine. From losing his worshippers, the last shrine was nearly in ruins, and he could only appear at it again once before it fell apart. Now not having a shrine, Ekibio continued to help humans, although from his change of actions, he did not get true worshippers.

Current Relationships: Tsugusa/Tsugi (Ame/Kusanaki), Regalia

Strengths/Virtues: Very strong legs and can do lots of deadly kicks, trained for a time by Futsunushi-no-Kami. Despite his rudeness, he is respectful about secrets.

Weaknesses/Flaws: Horrible charisma, weak upper body, laziness, clumsy when tired

Special Abilities: He can give to people and take away illnesses, although he hates to give them

Fears: death, the future

Shrine: tbd

Regalias: Tsugusa/Tsugi (Ame/Kusanaki)

Followers/Worshippers: None, because he survives from people only remembering his name

Clan Name: n/a, independent

Theme Song: Senses by Prismo
