The Purple Soul
Pleased that he had gained an ally (though he still attributed Hachi as such), Cameron walked ahead of Edmond out of the café, and looked up at the sky. The sun had completely set, but the dusk was still bright with color. He wondered if vampires like Edmond appreciated the beauty of the world when they themselves must hide from it. Though, he supposed that the forests and rivers were still the same at nighttime, just without their usual glimmer. Speaking of which, what if vampires were walking in the daytime but had something to cover them? What if there was a Stand that was just a big umbrel-
His thoughts were cut off by the sight and sound of Hachi starting to pick up in front of him, jogging down the street with Joel nowhere is sight.
"He's gone! Fucking disappeared!"
These words rang in Cameron's ears as he picked up the pace as well, his black shoes clacking against the ground as he attempted to pick up enough speed to catch up to Hachi and the pursued. Sure, Joel might've just run away, but the way she worded it... 'Disappeared'? The wind blew cold as the shadows took the skyline by surprise, stars peaking from beneath the gloomy lake of the night sky. Cameron had no idea what was going on, but he was getting flashbacks left and right of the encounter from last night. It had to be a Stand user, no doubt. If he disappeared, where could he have gone? If Stands vary in ability greatly, what could have happened to him?
Thinking as quick as he could, Cameron knew he couldn't stop running now, but Edmond could. Turning as he was about to turn a corner, he shouted to Edmond.
"Don't follow us yet! Feel around in the air, he might be invisible!"
Still on his toes, he contemplated al the options. Teleportation? Invisibility? A Pocket Dimension? Now that a whole new world had been opened up to the boy, so had his thoughts.
