I didn't think it would be a problem, so its not exactly my fault here. I dont understand how your characters failing to achieve sentience affects how my Altra evolved to reach a point of sapience.

Wouldnt it be interesting if two similar but unique races met and interacted?

Please do lore dump cuz i have NO IDEA whats goin on!
 
And by that i mean all i know is that were on some massive station located somewhere that is protected and has a bunch of aliens and cursed stuff. I wanna be a part of that! There is so much in the universe that can be explored and there just so happens to be a nanomachine race aside from whatever MARIA is! There is a humanoid plant for cryin out loud!

So what i wanna ask is what are you goin for here? Are you gonna be actively experimenting on our characters or is this a slice of life rp disguised behind aliens and technology? Is there gonna be gore? I can always go for a fight and shed some limbs!

Ummm did you read the interest check? Becuse by your last point it doesn't sound as if you have

So far iv simple kept the rp contained to a single galaxy, said galaxy having been fully explored... and said nanomachine race would entirely moot the point of my own character, if one could simply just hire atlra’s to achieve a similar effect... sure there would still be pockets of places with the rare and unknown I won’t discredit that, but having the organically forming version of what MARIA and TARIC are meant to achieve makes them entirely redundant
 
It doesn't make them redundant. It creates an example of a cycle in the universe. Things grow, evolve, and prosper.

Your species has a different goal altogether from the Altra. Your species had already gained intelligence, form, and beauty. The Altra had to evolve for that. We are similar you and i. We have the same concepts of morality and unity. But we arent the same.

Think about the geth and the reaper from mass effect. Both are created life, each a nation. However their goals are different. One is a shattered mind and the other is unified. The geth look up to the reapers but despise their goals and will evolve on their own terms. The same applies to your characters. They will evolve, maybe not organically but will reach their goals eventually.

Umm.. I don’t see what that’s got to do with anything mate... I don’t think we are gonna end up with a compromise at this rate
 
Well, you didn't really answer my question, and if you could all the threads in a post for me, that would be great!
