Sorry to distract you from your other RP's/stuff, but I think we're all waiting on you/Ailera to get the gate open/.

Just to be clear, you can use Lock-Opening Touch to unbolt it without having to make any rolls, in case I didn't indicate that in my last IC post.

Esbilon Esbilon or Rykon Rykon , I think I'm going to need one of you to post next, seeing as your characters are arguably the ones in charge here.

Gonna hold off and give Esbilon Esbilon a chance to post. This is likely going to be Ysandre's last chance to prevent a bloodbath, after all.

Beside him for now, would only be a small detachment, one not much larger than the street patrol that stepped by the catacomb earlier. Tannis, Ganzin, and their new addition Arumi would be on order to wait until they pass the gate or the engagement begins.
When they see that Ryan has bought a small army to the gates however, it's a very different story.
I'm confused. Just how many people are standing here in the open?

From what I understand, he bought five or six men with him up to the gate initially, and had the rest of them hidden close by, ready to move in once the situation demanded it.

Yeah. It's just that the situation really didn't seem to demand it, so I'm confused whey they'd suddenly appear.

Well, Ryan does seem more of the aggressor type, being a mercenary leader. His tactics couldnt be expected to be the same as Ysandre's. And had to get the army in somehow. But without Ysandre giving any input, it would fall in Ryan to make the decisions there.

Except that I'd laid out what the plan was. I'm sorry for being absent for a few days, but we've had considerably longer downtimes before, and there was really no reason at all to bring an entire army into the palace before we had control of the gatehouse.

It's already breached, and from what was described the guards are already outnumbered by those that bypassed the gate. The goal was to get everyone to a defendable position asap.

They were not in any danger, and now we've thrown any semblance of stealth to the wind.

Seemed a good a time as any. Short of sending in only a team of ninjas, could have only gotten so far with stealth anyway. And ninjas we are not.

With the long pauses among other things, I had lost track of the original plan, and I couldn't seem to find it at the time of posting. So I just tried to get something out there to keep things moving on the best of my memory at the moment based on what information I could recall or stumble across again.

My thought process was basically asking myself a few questions.

How stealthy do we expect the passing of hundreds of troops to be in a city? My understanding was a size 3-4 unit in a city is impossible to conceal for long without magic.

How much further do we have to go to get to the objective? Again, my understanding was we were basically right outside the palace. We just need to hold the gate. It's essentially already taken unless one of these two guards is an Exalt.

My normal approach would in fact be to just sneak in, execute order 66 on the actual targets, and call it a day, but I normally don't play troop commanders either. If that did turn out to be how things happened, what was the purpose in bringing troops at all, or almost any of the rest of the party? The cleanup? That'd be a bit anti-climactic.

So, where is everyone in the party who's not with Ysandre? I'm a bit wary of going after Melisande before we've got the gang all together.

I have not been posting as frequently as I should, and I am sorry. I just have had a bit of trouble getting into this character. I'm going to go ahead and bow out of this one. Sorry guys.

Sorry to hear that. Hope you had a good time regardless, and good luck in your future RP's.

Zed is with the armies. But with the wounded taken care of, it would be an easy matter of getting him to come along.

Ailera's already with Ysandre, and I think we can assume that Zed will join them once he's done healing people. But Rykon Rykon and Red Shadow Claws Red Shadow Claws , I'm going to need the two of you to say where your characters are.

Also, are you still following this game Epiphany Epiphany ?

I haven't been, to be honest. I could explain what I've had going on IRL but the net result is I haven't been attentive the way I should be.

If Catseye can be useful to the present scene, happy to help.

Ysandre's going to try and confront her God-blooded brother, and presumably the Solar he's taken for his queen as well. An extra blade might not be strictly necessary, but it likely wouldn't hurt.
