Alsek Hoonah Sensmeier

Alsek stood beside Kamaria as the elevator moved up to the meeting floor. It wasn’t long before the doors opened, revealing the other vampires from the lesser clans. Ojore Kante raised his voice, the sound grating on him. Kante only possessed the most unbearable qualities, much like the mortals. Kante’s vampires ran amuck, pretending to be respectable, much like the Lucinius, though he disliked both clans for far different reasons. Power was not meant to be squandered on individuals like them. Alsek frowned, narrowing his eyes as Kante babbled on, insulting the Ventari name. Balling his hands, he straightened his posture. Responding with fists would make Alsek no better than him. When Kamaria rebutted, a smile crossed his face. The tensions were already high between the clans, even before Marcos was murdered. As long as the Abarra’s stayed in line he doubted an exceeding number of problems would occur.

He despised the leg Kante had to stand on. Chaldean’s absence was felt which caused Alsek’s frustration to well. It wasn’t often she shirked her duties. Her behaviour belonged to that of an Abarra, but he liked her well enough not to be irate about the matter.

Instead of dwelling about situations outside his control, Alsek did a head count. Every time he stepped into a room he knew how many were inside, it was a strategic compulsion. Plus, it allowed him to spot those he’d much rather avoid. Like the abrasive and talkative, two qualities he loathed when conversing outside his clan. The first dreaded person he laid eyes on was Catherine. Though she was twice his age, she acted like a spoiled child and she was far too chipper. He didn’t mind Alexandre, at least he could hold an intelligent conversation. The girl beside him, he’d heard about her. Recently turned and ignorant, like all children were. Something with a “J” he believed, but it was irrelevant at the moment.

Himera made an appearance, casually nudging her leader. Typical Abarra behaviour. The lack of etiquette was unsurprising. However, he didn’t despise her company and preferred it to many others. He was eager to begin, after all, it was the very reason they were all here. Though his mild curiosity poked him. Who had killed Marcos? Was this an Abarra power play? Taking Marcos out would allow them a chance to rise and crawl out from their sewers.

Chaldean's voice dragged him away from his thoughts as he looked over at her. "Pleased you graced us with your presence," Alsek said smiling. The manner in which he spoke was intended for jest, though not everyone understood his humor.

Lex wasn't really phased when the leaders of the two other clans began to speak. Both of them seemed to enjoy speaking just to hear the sound of their own voices, and their tendency to go at each other in subtle (or not so subtle) ways spoke to their inability to professionally lead. Kamaria was far more poised than Ojore was and it showed in everything from her speech, to her demeanor, to the way she moved about, but simply by association, her clan wasn't built to lead the vampire world. The real question now was whether the Lucinius clan was built to do that still, without Marcos. If you asked Lex, the answer would be absolutely yes. While he knew better than to admit it to any other clans, he was self-aware enough to recognize, though, that the other clans would likely have their doubts. Their power hungry nature, the type that probably pushed one of them to kill their beloved leader, was likely edging them closer and closer to insisting that this was one of their chances to rise to the occasion and take Marcos' seat at the top. If they wanted to fight each other to death for the seat, killing each other off in the process, Lex wouldn't mind grabbing some popcorn to sit and watch. However, on a more civil level, he was sure that Kamaria and Ojore were ready to insist that Lex simply wasn't equipped for the job. He didn't have the years of life experience that they had, and he had never even led his own clan before, let alone acted as the voice for the three clans as a whole. None of his clan members were up for the challenge though, and even if Lex inwardly had some self-doubts too, he wasn't going to allow that to be known. He would be damned if he let anyone take Marcos' legacy away from their clan, nonetheless at the expense of his own pride. So, Lex was going to do what he did best. He was going to learn what he needed to learn, do what he needed to do, and rise to the occasion.

"Right this way," he announced, allowing his voice to rise to the volume of the others', as he headed down the hall towards their meeting hall. It had quieted down considerably once the other two leaders spoke up, and though Lex felt like it was a shame that he hadn't had more of a chance to acquaint Josie to the quirky Abarra member that had crossed paths with them, the meeting was the priority. Plus, as Ojore had crudely put it, none of them wanted to be around each other for longer than necessary. If Ojore was saying that, then one could only imagine how the Lucinius Clan felt, knowing that their leader's killer was likely in their midst at that very moment. With all of these faces in front of him, Lex had some suspicions. Kamaria and Ojore were obviously contenders for the killer title, of course. There were others, though. Perhaps Will, who Lex was just catching sight of now. The Abarra clan hadn't made any note about his return to the city which was coincidental on its own, but the timing of his return too, was too coincidental to go unnoticed. Other faces of missing members of clans struck a chord in him too. It wouldn't have been surprising if their clan was hiding them out now, he supposed, thinking about some of the missing Ventari members. He wouldn't have put it past Kamaria to orchestrate a plan to sacrifice one of her members just to allow her to rise to power. Make them do the dirty work while she claimed the prize. The thought in itself disgusted him and reminded him of why his clan was superior and worthy of far more respect than the others. Still, he would play nice for the moment. Information, even coming from these sources, was information that they needed right now.

The meeting hall was a large room with a very minimalist design. Inside of the dimly lit room was nothing more than a large, round table neatly surrounded by many chairs. There were many modern features to the room--televisions that would come out from behind the wall with the click of a button, walls that could move to expose large windows offering a grand view of Central Park, and intercoms connecting them with the other rooms of the house, for example, but none of those features would be of use tonight. Tonight, the plan was just to sit and talk. Civilly -- that was the part that he had to remind himself of.

Alexandre didn't physically hesitate to sit down in the large chair that had traditionally been designated for Marcos, but it stung to do it in the mental sense. It was a strong reminder of what had happened, and the changes that were coming. Lex didn't think it was necessary to discuss power dynamics with the clans tonight. For one thing, he didn't think it needed to be discussed at all, as his clan was certainly holding onto the power. Secondly though, it just wasn't the right time. Right now, anyone who wasn't most concerned with the murder was going to be investigated as the murder, and once that was figured out, then he would be more than happy to sit down with the other two leaders and hear their thoughts in a more intimate setting. The other clan members wouldn't be needed for that. They were only needed now, as the information that any of them held could be valuable. As everyone got settled into their chairs, he glanced to his right at Theo. The man was quieter than most, at least in the company of crowds, but his intelligence and ability to solve problems were skills that shouldn't have been devalued. Lex hoped that he was conducting his own investigation already, gathering nonverbal hints from the people in their presence, that could be analyzed later on tonight after everyone was gone.

"On behalf of my clan, I want to thank you all for joining us tonight," Lex began with certainty, once everyone had sat down. "It's under unfortunate circumstances, of course, but gathering here today will hopefully serve the invaluable purpose of offering some light into what happened earlier this month. I don't think that it's necessary for me to go into detail on the event itself but rather, open the floor to our guests. In light of this tragic event, do you have any thoughts or information to share with us? As a community with a killer on the loose, I would imagine that this investigation as a whole would pertain to all of us." His eyes drifted between Kamaria and Ojore as he spoke, open to the opinions of all, but certain that the self-important leaders before him would be fighting for the non-existent microphone first.

Kamaria followed after Alexandre as he led the way to the meeting hall, but not before cutting her eyes at Marianna. She was already thinking of ways to deal with her for her lateness. Kamaria liked to think of herself as a strict yet fair leader. There were simple rules that she’d laid out after taking over and she expected them to be followed, rewarding those who did and punishing those who didn’t. How her clan looked was important to her as well as how she looked when it came to others. With her tardiness Maricanna had both contradicted her and proved Ojore right, it was simply unacceptable.

Upon reaching the all too family meeting hall Kamaria seated herself directly across from Alexandre, shifting only a little to get comfortable. She listened carefully as he spoke, her dark eyes intense as she looked at him. Kamaria had taken notice of the chair he had sat in, she couldn’t help but think that it seemed too big for him. Maybe not concerning size but in presence. As she gazed at the vampire before her she was reminded of young princes, boys turned kings by their father’s death and with no real sense of leadership or authority. Her keen eyes looked for any signs of weakness with all the grace and patience of a predator waiting for its moment to pounce.

When he finished speaking she was silent for a few seconds in order to gather and organize her thoughts. Finally she nodded ever so slightly as thanks to his welcome. “Of course, there is no better time for us to come together as a community than now even the circumstances are tragic as you said.” Kamaria’s words were sincere. Even if she hadn’t cared for Marcos she knew the pain of losing a sire and with the killer still out there she knew that finding them should be priority number one.

“Since the murder I have taken upon myself to have my people scouting in hopes of finding new information. In pairs of course, to avoid anything going wrong. I believe that we should work together on this, a neighborhood watch of sorts. Maybe even a curfew. ” Kamaria crossed one long leg over the other as she spoke. “We should focus on potential suspects. Marcos was indeed a powerful man, with many enemies, both vampire and human.”

William slowly made his way behind the crowd as they made their way to the meeting hall. William stuck to the dark parts of the hall, a corner that had a decent view of the rest of the hall. In Will's opinion, Marcos dying was actually a good thing and not because of the grudge William held against him but rather that the man held enormous amounts of power but didn't use it effectively. Vampires could have walked freely, not being afraid to show their true nature had Marcos even considered it.

As the clans took their seats, William smirked as the vampire, who had previously been talking to Catherine, took Marco's seat. Interesting move. Will wondered how Ojore and Kamaria would take it. His expression dulled at the though of Kamaria. Their few but memorable meetings over the years had Will hoping that in the chaos she would befall an 'accident' and unfortunately lose her life or head. He even hoped as far as being the one to cause said accident. Either way, her time would come. As the meeting began, William slowly took everything into account. It seemed they had no idea of who had killed Marcos or even who was involved which was interesting. It was highly likely that they would look to him as a possible suspect which wouldn't exactly allow him to get his own back on Kamaria but nevertheless he would enjoy his time back in New York.

With Kamaria finishing off her little speech, William decided that this time would be as good as any to reveal himself. At least it was somewhere public and Catherine wouldn't attempt to kill. Would she?

Will slowly sauntered out of the corner, a daring smile on his face and a glint in his piercing eyes. "Well I for one, am glad that our all gracious leader has left us," William spoke, his voice although quiet, spread out across the room with a nice hint of arrogance, "In fact, I think we should leave the investigation up to those humans he loved so dearly."

Wide eyes and surprised looks seemed to scatter the room at not only his appearance in the meeting hall but his choice of words. William stood in the middle with a cocky smirk. Maybe it wasn't such a good idea to speak ill of the dead in front of his friends, but what fun would it be saying it behind closed doors?

[div class=container][div class=border][div class=name]ojore kante
[div class=role]head of abarra[/div] [div class=image][/div] [div class=textbox][div class=scroll]Ojore only noticed Will as he took a seat at the table, and before he could address the unexpected guest in the room, Alexandre started to speak. While William's mere presence was enough of a problem in Ojore's mind to deserve being addressed immediately, he restrained himself for a few seconds to allow the Lucinius male a moment to speak. He knew that Will was going to cause a disruption. He wasn't ignorant enough to hope that he would behave himself and just be happy with himself for causing tension by merely showing up. Nope, he knew Will would make this about him, but he had a small ounce of hope in him that the boy would be intelligent enough to wait on causing trouble. Even with over one hundred years in the book since the incident that Will caused and that much time for Ojore to gain some "peace", this didn't feel unfamiliar to him. He wasn't caught off guard, shocked, or appalled. He was merely irritated. Irritated that Will had the nerve and lacked the respect to show up without warning, irritated that he thought so highly of himself that he imagined his opinion on this to be of importance, and irritated that he wanted to push his luck here and now. Had he caught Will walking into this house, Ojore would have kicked his ass before the kid could step foot inside. Here in this room though, Ojore wasn't looking to put Will in his place. He and Kamaria were different types of leaders, but he shared the same thought process on her that that was something better addressed in private. However, he wasn't going to let Will walk in here as if he was even remotely relevant to this conversation, or even clan.

"Get. Out." His expression hardened into something nearly stoic with a hint of coldness as he looked at the vampire on the other side of the room. He didn't think anything more needed to be said on it, for now. Ojore still thought of Will as being family, and he would have been absolutely lying to claim that he hadn't been worried about Will for the past century. Once a member of the clan, always a member of the clan. They were family, and at the end of the day, Ojore would kill for any of them--Will included. However, respect was a two way street, and even if Will probably thought that he was just disrespecting Marcos and his clan with his words and actions, doing it in this manner, felt like an act of disrespect towards himself as well. It wasn't cool, and it also angered him even more to think that this was his way of returning, because had he returned in any other sort of way, Ojore would have been overjoyed. With Marcos now deceased, no one carried enough weight to demand Will remain out of New York. He could get the kid back on track here in New York and actually be able to keep an eye on him. Though Will was a handful, things were never boring with him, and Ojore would have been glad to have him back.

He wondered who had told Will that the meeting was occurring tonight... which one of the vampires knew that he would be back in town and had been communicating with him recently enough to disclose it. His clan would be questioned about it later and addressed as well, but for now, Ojore's eyes remained firmly aligned on Will's face. He hoped that the boy would take this opportunity to leave on his own accord. Ojore didn't want things to get messy but if Will really wanted to start something, Ojore wasn't going to be opposed to ending it.

Zaire didn't have much time to kill with Himera before the meeting began, but he appreciated their moment for what it was before following the small crowd into the meeting room. The alcohol didn't do much of anything for him, but it was the thought that counted. Only a minute or two into the meeting, he couldn't help but to wish that he had downed the entire bottle, though. As a member of the clan that often fell in between on the spectrum of being the hero or the villain, Zaire didn't love conflict, nor did he hate it. He didn't strive to be involved in chaos and trouble for the hell of it, as many in the Abarra clan seemed to, but he also didn't think that going against the grain was all that much of a bad thing in most cases. So, while he wasn't conducting his own illicit operations, he had no problem with morally justifying why he used his position in the human world to ensure that the illicit operations conducted by his fellow vampires remained off the radar of human law.

When Will's voice demanded the attention of everyone in the room after Kamaria had finished offering fair advice, Zaire couldn't help but to glance in the boy's direction with mild annoyance. He hadn't ever gotten to know the Abarra member very well, but his compelte and utter disregard for the safety of their species as a whole had allowed him to be at peace with that after Will was kicked out of the city. The loss of human lives didn't really bother him, nor did conflict among their clans, but causing the death of another vampire, indirectly or directly, when there was no motive other than amusement, just rubbed him the wrong way. It wasn't right no matter what way you wanted to spin it. His glance maintained the annoyance in it as he then looked to Ojore, who by default, was responsible for Will. The Abarra leader clearly appeared to be irritated with Will as well, but Zaire felt little pity for him. Ojore needed to do a better job at playing leader instead of friend because as they had learned over one hundred years ago, his inability to keep his clan in check could literally be deadly. Had Will's actions resulted in the death of a Ventari member rather than a Lucinius member, the mere sight of Will would have caused Zaire to hurl himself across the room in search of revenge, so he could only imagine how the Lucinius members in the room felt. As one would imagine, the death of a vampire wasn't an everyday event. The fact that the New York Lucinius clan had lost two members in the past 120 years or so was a pretty big deal, and Will resurfacing for the second one, after causing the first, would likely only add fuel to the fire.

"Kamaria is right," Zaire agreed, attempting to get back on track, though he was unsure how successful that would be, considering how good the Abarras were at causing scenes. "I don't have any leads at this point, though it's funny how things somehow just hand themselves to you," he said, slowly turning his head back towards William. "Before Marcos left us, did you three agree to allow him back into this city?" he inquired curiously, looking to Kamaria as he spoke in reference to Will. While she was their clan's leader and he trusted her, he imagined that she would have at least warned them of this if she had been informed herself.

Catherine wasn't excited to spend god knows how long stuck in a room, sitting idly at a table as the others discussed things of a serious nature. She wasn't sure why Ojore had requested that she come to this, because anyone who knew Cat knew that this wasn't a place where any of her positive traits would really shine through. The things that came out of her mouth were always unfiltered, often lacking political correctness, and any sort of second thought onto whether what she was saying was appropriate or not. She didn't like sitting still, talking about things that held any serious weight, or being expected to keep her mouth shut until it was her turn to speak. She would have enjoyed talking to Lex and Josie for a little while longer and then dipping out, but she didn't want to create conflict with Ojore. In fact, she was momentarily set on the idea of keeping her mouth shut all meeting just so she could tell him that he was overly hard on her since she had managed to show up before him, and not cause any trouble all meeting.

"Get my number from his phone and text me! We can be friends!" Cat insisted to Josie, offering her a bright smile before scurrying off to join the Abarras who were headed into the meeting. Josie being freshly turned made her all the more interesting to Catherine. She loved young people in general, and enjoyed indulging herself in the modern culture of every place she landed. She was intrigued by the trends of the changing times, modernizing technology, and all of the things related to that, and it was often the young people who had a better grasp on it than anyone else. While she had more life experience than Josie and had spent just as much time as her on an earth where there were iPhones and computers, her experience with it all was still difference since she was also tied down to so many old norms that no longer existed. She couldn't relate to being human in many emotional ways anymore, and so she often indulged in the material side of the human world to get that fix. Sometimes she did wonder what it would like to be human today though. The movies made it look so lovely, and often had Catherine wanting to go against the rules of their world and establish some sort of real, solid relationship with a human. She knew better than to actually do that, but Josie would still seem human enough to her to allow her to be entertained by her for a while.

She sat next to Himera, preferring to not be directly to their leader and appreciating the buffer that the other girl offered. As Alexandre started talking, she waved excitedly to Josie, as if they hadn't just seen each other two minutes ago. Had an old, familiar voice not broken through the scene, Catherine probably would have zoned out for as long as she could. Her eyes immediately followed the sound of the male's voice. It couldn't be... But it was. As her eyes landed upon Will's form on the other side of the room, they widened in surprise. What was he doing here?! Her initial response was to smile. She was so glad to see that he was alive and well, and still, well, still Will. Ojore's dark tone reminded her brain to switch gears though. It reminded her of how Will had left without saying goodbye and without ever reaching out again. She had grown to feel like he had seen her and the rest of the clan as being disposable, not like the family she saw him to be. It was something that had weighed heavily on her heart for a while because she had loved Will, seeing him as her closest friend in the clan at the time. He was so independent and cool and adventurous. He had lived one hundred lives in half the time that she had been alive. His stories were endless and his good and mischevious ideas never ran dry. And then one day, he was gone. She had blamed Ojore for a little while before coming to terms that it was Will's fault, at least for not reaching out after that. As the years went on, Cat adjusted to life without Will by her side, but there truly wasn't a single day that went by that she didn't think of him. In fact, her harbored feelings of unfinished business resonated so strongly that she refused to step foot in Paris after learning that that was where he was staying after the incident. His sudden and unexpected return forced her to feel a million different things at once and in a rare event, she was left speechless.

She didn't want him to get out as Ojore was insisting, but Zaire's words signaled that she didn't want him to stay either. Whether he killed Marcos or not wasn't something she was concerned about. He was back! She just needed to figure out how she was supposed to feel about that.

Soon, everyone was following Alexandre down the hall to the large, meeting hall. She took a seat at the big round table, and listened to him speak. She was planning on just listening to everyone and gathering information. This was the boring part of the riddle, but one of the most important. Hopefully, those riddles she had been doing actually help.
Robin looked surprised as some random guy came out of the corner saying he was glad the leader died. She didn't know who he was, but some of the others seemed to and they looked surprised about him being there. He was probably before her time. That was a weird move for him to make, and she didn't know what he was trying to accomplish. Maybe he was just trying to make a scene. Ojore didn't look very happy about him being here, and told him to get out. That means he was probably Abarra. She had never seen him before now though... Robin didn't care about Marcos dying, but she didn't agree with letting the humans investigate this. What good would leaving it to the humans do? She thought the humans should be left out of this.

[/div] [/div] [/div] [div class=right] [div class=scroll] Himera settled into a seat once they made it into the room. Not only could she feel the tension between all everyone in the room, with Will's sudden return there was a slight discomfort amongst the Abarra. Judging by the other member's expression at his presence in the room, it was clear no one knew he'd be at this meeting, much less back in the city.

Himera turned what little patience she had left for this meeting to Alexandre and Kamaria whenever they spoke up but it was Kamaria's voice garnered more of her attention. That attention lasted for just a second once Will slithered out from his corner. She hid her displeasure at his choice of wording and ended up resting a hand on Catherine's arm as he spoke. She could tell from Cat's expression how unsettling his abrupt return is making her feel. The hurt Will had caused Cat alone was enough to garner Himera's protective instincts. She already knew what kind of chaos would be waiting for them back at the compound and hesitated whether she'd sneak away after this meeting and busy herself at the Black Veil.

Although Zaire's question was more directed at Kamaria and Ojore she pondered whether Marcos would have even thought to give permission for Will to return before he was killed. That or Will just has the worst timing in the world showing up here as Zaire made clear.

Himera wasn't present in the city during the time Will had caused the infamous incident and gotten himself banished. Though some of the members spared no details when she had asked about it upon her arrival. This wasn't the first time she had ran across the aftermath of his trouble, and more than one occasion was she the one to bail him out back in their wanderings of Europe. The New York scene felt much different and there wasn't much for her to do to help his cause. Luckily Ojore had been the one to calm her nerves about the whole thing, and they'd occasionally fly out to France to check up on the demon.

Himera refrained from saying anything at this time. Instead, she set her drink aside and leaned forward in her seat, ready to get between Ojore and Will in case things got messy. [/div] [/div] [/div] [/div]

Alsek Sensmeier.jpg

Alsek followed Kamaria into the meeting room. He could sense her anger toward the late clan member, but as usual, Kamaria was calm and collected. He took a seat near his leader, but it seemed as though the tension in the room rose, even after Alexandre addressed everyone. Out of the corner of his eye, he spotted the vermin. William’s voice grated on Alsek. His head snapped in the boy’s direction. Foolish. William was simply foolish. It was a wonder why they hadn’t sentenced him to death. Banishment was too kind a punishment. Several issues could have been resolved without that chaotic spirit hovering and tainting whatever he set his sights on. Alsek balled his hands. He highly doubted Kamaria would have allowing anything like that, at least without informing the clan.

Alsek would have loved to have taken care of William. It was a wonder why he was in this place to begin with. How did he slither passed Lucinius members? Alsek never expected to agree with Ojore, but tonight seemed full of unexpected scenarios. Regardless of that fact, Ojore was still to blame for William’s erratic behaviour. He should have controlled the snake to begin with.

He clenched his jaw, trying to refrain from speaking out of turn and displeasing Kamaria. Instead, Alsek released his hands, relaxing a bit, but still aptly aware of anything that could potentially happen. Alsek glanced at Ojore and noticed Himera leaning forward. If a fight broke out between the two Alsek wouldn’t hesitate to intervene. If one ended up dead because of it, well, that wouldn’t work against him. Part of him tried to exclude any other potential reasons for helping out. It certainly didn’t have anything to do with Himera readying herself. Certainly not.

Alexandre listened intently as Kamaria spoke, nodding along in agreement. At least she offered something useful to the discourse, unlike, as he would soon realize, the others. Before he could request that she elaborate on her suggestion of a curfew, a voice from the far side of the room interrupted the flow of the conversation. Lex couldn't immediately place the voice, though it rang familiar in his mind. It didn't take more than a second for his eyes to land on Will, and for it to click, though. He was an infamous character in New York's vampire history books; one that should have been permanently written out of it, if you asked Lex. Over a century ago, the smirking figure standing before them had the audacity to start a fight that ended in the death of one of the Lucinius clan members. It was a loss that the clan still felt to this day, and given the completely unnecessary nature of it, it was an event that felt even more wrong. The three clans in New York had their differences but were supposed to co-exist peacefully. The Abarras were lucky that the Lucinius clan was far more civil than they were, because they could have easily taken out a few of the Abarra members as collateral damage, a reminder of who they were messing with. While Lex would have preferred that William have been sentenced to an eye-for-an-eye sort of punishment instead of merely being banished, the vampire's disappearance calmed the city down at the very least. The Abarras were still to be watched, but they seemed to know better than to make too many waves within the community. The trouble that they caused remained off of the radar of the Lucinius clan for the most part, which was just the way that they liked it.

The answer to Zaire's question was a definite no. While Lex hadn't attended any of the leader-only meetings while Marcos had been here, he knew the man well enough to know that he would have informed his own clan of a decision that carried that much weight. Even if it had happened over a century ago, the weight of that murder could still make Lex's blood boil to this day, and he knew that the rest of his clan (aside from Josie) felt the same way. Marcos had insisted that they be the bigger clan and let it go, but just seeing William in the flesh had Lex's body tightening up. His instincts told him to pounce. To kill. Ojore told the outcast to get out, a smart move on his part, and Lex forced himself to remove his glaring look away from William momentarily to check on his own clan. He was sure that they all wanted to pounce on the worthless son of a bitch just as much as he did, but he was glad to see that they were also holding themselves back. Similarly to how Himera and Alsek seemed to ready themselves to something physical, Lex's clan mates had subtly taken up similar postures. William had lucked out that Marcos had mercy on him the last time he showed his face in this city. Marcos was gone now though, and revenge was too sweet of a thing for Lex to even consider calling off any of his clan mates if they did decide to do what should have been done a century ago.

"He was gracious," Lex agreed, relaxing back in his chair. "Gracious enough to let you live to see another day after what you did. Can't say you'll get that lucky this time around, though. I don't suppose any of us are feeling too 'gracious' now, are we?" he continued, turning his head to each side to look at his clan mates as a small smile fell upon his face. The body language of his family spoke for itself, as he looked back to Will with that same half-smile on his face. "Now, make the first smart decision of your life, listen to your friend, and go back to where you came from, unless you wish to join 'our gracious leader', in which case, I'm sure one of us would be happy to arrange that for you."

William's eyes lit up at the sound of Ojore's voice. His lips curved upwards as he turned to face the other man. He took a few steps around, pondering for a second as the others talked. William stopped and winked at Ojore before turning toward Lex. "There we go! That's the killer instinct I'm looking for!" William laughed, pointing his finger accusingly at Lex. "Does it not make sense the young Lucinious, in his prime, wants power, no?" Will frowned, keeping his finger on Lex but looking around the room.

"Maybe he got fed up with an old stag in the way and decided to take the throne for himself?" William dropped his finger, "You'd have the best chance, close enough to easily have access to Marcos and the one with the most to gain from his death." Will's voice was laced with venom, slightly angered by the other vampires threats but he knew they were just threats. William straightened himself up and scanned the room, his eyes stopping on Catherine. Will's arrogance faltered slightly before he looked away quickly, regaining his composure.

"Bonne chance avec ça," William said to Lex before turning on his heel and with one last look he was gone, his vamp speed making him a mere blur.

The meeting hadn’t really begun and already things were falling apart at the seams. She remembered that face well enough, though his name remained a mystery. The two of them had encountered each other maybe twice in the past. Once during his time on a French slave ship and the second during a party hosted by a mutual acquaintance. Looking at him now Kamaria couldn’t say that she regret not buying and turning him. He had been too young at the time and she hadn’t seen anything worthwhile within him that made her contemplate turning him. She was sure that he was still holding onto that, she certainly would have.

The tension in the room was thick, everyone seemed to focus on the vampire and for the first time in a long time Kamaria knew nothing. She didn’t like it, not at all. Though from the way Ojore stared him down she figured that he was a clan member or perhaps an ex-clan member. Either way it was clear to her that he wasn’t welcomed. His accusation made sense though. Alexandre has been the closest to Marcos. She had witnessed it many times in the past. Human children and childe alike killing their own for a chance at power.

Before long the former Abarra had left in a blur. Kamaria’s curiosity was certainly piqued. She turned her attention to Zaire to answer the question he’d asked. “No I can’t say that I did. And to be honest? I had no idea he was banished. I’ve only met him twice before.” She crossed her arms over her chest. “I assume whatever he did took place before I became leader. Though I believe I’m beginning to understand just what he did.”

[div class=container][div class=border][div class=name]ojore kante
[div class=role]head of abarra[/div] [div class=image][/div] [div class=textbox][div class=scroll] Perhaps it was Ojore's own comfort level with street justice, but unlike Will, he didn't find Lex's response to be indicative of him killing Marcos. He wouldn't discount the idea for the motive Will mentioned, as the possibility that it was an inside job committed by a Lucinius member who wanted the leader title for themselves was likely one that had crossed all of their minds. However, Lex being capable of doing that was something that Ojore struggled to believe. He wasn't very close with the kid, and in fact, couldn't say that he knew him well at all. Still, he didn't look capable of doing such a thing. He was either a great actor, even going so far as to put on a remarkably believable act of being in mourning at the funeral a few weeks back, or he hadn't killed the man. Ojore would bet on the latter. Will was the last person who could be accusing anyone of having a "killer instinct", and this whole situation bothered him even more because he hated the idea of actually defending and/or siding with a Lucinius clan member. Ojore was loyal to his clan, but he was also rational and again, valued respect. That left the odds lacking favor on Will's part, and the cheekiness of his demeanor sealed the deal in Ojore's mind that he was going to be the one adopting the "killer instinct" after this meeting was over. A glance in Catherine's direction after Will had gone only solidified that. While Will's exit had saddened all of them, Ojore knew that Cat had considered Will to be her partner in crime. He had purposely left her out of the loop when it was decided that Will would be banished from the city until after Will was gone because he thought it would be better that way, but clearly it hadn't been the right choice. He still felt bad about it to this day, but was able to shift a lot of the blame in his mind onto Will, whose decisions were the ones that landed them all in the difficult situation. "Disregard that," Ojore hissed, straightening his posture in his chair as he kept his eyes focused on the door for a few more seconds, just to make sure that Will was actually gone. He looked towards Robin, Himera and Catherine once more, accepting the surprised looks on their faces. He was angry and embarrassed that Will had just done that, making Ojore, especially, look like a fool for not even knowing his own clan member was back. "What he did isn't relevant," he said, addressing Kamaria, though his gaze fell upon Zaire, who seemed intent on stirring the pot a bit, as he added, "And the conversation regarding his return is one that definitely isn't relevant to you." No, once Ojore himself figured out what the hell was going on, then he would discuss it with his clan, and then the leaders. Zaire's irrelevant ass could wait to hear it through the grapevine, or however Kamaria communicated with her people. "My clan won't be engaging in curfews or anything of that sort," he stated plainly. "Whoever killed Marcos was able to do it because they had the element of surprise on their side. My people and I will be on guard moving forward, and if the killer wants to tempt any of us, we'll do the honor of bringing him to justice. If you all want to hide in your houses," he said, looking towards Kamaria, "Then be my guest, but Abarras don't hide from danger." [div class=container][div class=border][div class=name]Dorothea & Jack
[div class=role]lucinius clan members[/div] [div class=image][/div] [div class=textbox][div class=scroll] Dorothea didn't believe that anything would come out of this meeting. She did believe that it was possible that someone in the other clans had information that may have been useful to them, but she didn't think that they would reveal it here. Dory was quite a perceptive individual and she read people and situations very well. While she wasn't explicitly aware of any history that connected Ojore and Kamaria, she did catch the vibe that the two shared. Though they led separate clans, they were friendly enough that she didn't think that either would truly throw the other under the bus. In fact, there was even a possibility that the two clan leaders had conspired together to murder Marcos. They both knew that they would never rise to true power with him in the picture, and taking him out brought both of them one step closer to the top. No, this meeting wasn't so much about collecting vital information as it was about continuing on with the formalities of politics. Marcos was gone and while their individual clan was still mourning, the rest of the world was moving on. They couldn't allow their clan to be left behind in the midst of that. Although Dory didn't envision anything useful coming directly out of the mouths of those in front of her, their presences and behaviors would speak for themselves. She remained silent, seated next to Lex as he led the course of the meeting. While many may have imagined that it would be Dorothea stepping into Marcos' spot, she had pushed Lex to take it... at least temporarily. Whether she wanted to lead the clan in the public eye was something that she was still considering. Making Lex the face of the clan was beneficial at least in the short term, because it allowed her time to think, and quite frankly, as much as she loved Lex like a brother, she knew that even if he was the face of the clan, she was still the brains of it. He would just spit out her words and ideas like a parrot, so either way the power still rested in her hands. Will's sudden and unexpected appearance brought an immediate level of tension in her clan's side of the room. She had to subtly rest a hand on Jack's knee under the table, squeezing it tightly to signal that he needed to control himself. She knew that Will's mere presence likely had Jack seeing red. Will was the ringleader behind the mayhem that had led to the death of one of their clan members, Isaac, years ago. While he had been banished from New York as a result, it was common sentiment among the Lucinius clan that his punishment wasn't enough. Marcos didn't believe that violence was the answer and because he was in charge, his voice was the one that was heard. Jack wanted Will's head and Dory was aware of that and admittedly, agreed with him. While they had put the death behind them as the years past, Will's return would likely lead to those sentiments being unearthed quickly--as quickly as mere seconds, as Dorothy sensed coming from Jack. Somehow, the brawny male beside her managed to retain his composure enough that he didn't lunge across the room to tear the snide Abarra's head off. After throwing a few accusations at Lex, he disappeared upon Ojore's command. "No need to hide from danger when you are the danger," Jack snapped, following Ojore's overly confident retort. Could the answer to this murder mystery be anymore obvious? Marcos is killed, William is back in New York. Simple as that. "How stupid do you think we are, Kante?" he said, slamming his fist against the table before pushing back against it and getting to his feet. "Marcos is killed and now all the sudden your boy is back! What more is there to need to know?" he exclaimed. While on the outside, Jack could pass as a prim and proper Lucinius member, he was never fully that person. He could get dressed up, wear a tux, and pretend to be the wonderfully poised and successful son-in-law of the mayor of New York, but behind closed doors, Jack was more of a free spirit. A free spirit... or a loose cannon. Both worked. He was unfiltered and raw, and had taken it upon himself to act as the muscle of the clan. While Marcos was alive, he was often forbidden from putting people in their place, so to speak, but now times were different. The Lucinius clan could continue to earn respect through their good doings in the vampire community, but if that didn't work, Jack was happy to demand it in the form of physical enforcement. He wasn't as much of a savage brute as it probably seemed in this moment, but what was happening now was a reaction to the killing that had happened over one hundred years ago on top of the reaction to believing that Will had also now killed Marcos. He got off easy after killing one of their own, but he had sealed his fate with this one. If Ojore wasn't going to kill Will himself, Jack would do it in a way that would ensure enough pain and torment to avenge the two Lucinius members whose lives he took. "You've got 24 hours to put your dog down on your own. If you can't take care of it, I'll do it," he said, looking Ojore dead in the eyes as he spoke. He meant every word of it, too. And with that ultimatum given, Jack left without another word. He knew that Dory would likely be angry with him for offering such an outburst, but he didn't give a damn. Surprisingly, Dory wasn't angry with Jack. In fact, she agreed with him. Sure, she wouldn't have used such coarse language, but Jack's message was on point. Whether William was the killer or not, he was a prime suspect, and this was an easy excuse to serve him the justice that he had evaded over a century ago. [div class=role]head of abarra[/div] [div class=image][/div] [div class=textbox][div class=scroll] Nobody threatened the lives of anyone in his clan and got away with it. While Ojore didn't jump to his feet just as Jack did and shout back at him, he definitely wasn't taking his threat lightly. Will was a dumbass, that was a given, but he wasn't about to be killed for being one. While his timing couldn't have been worse in returning to New York, Ojore wasn't about to let Marcos' murder fall on his shoulders just out of poor timing. Will caused enough trouble on his own; he didn't need to go down for something that he didn't do. If Jack wanted to play with fire, then dammit, light it up! "You guys can head out," he said calmly, looking to his clan members. When his eyes fell on Himera, they lingered a bit longer than they did the others. He didn't have to say a word to know that she would do her best to take care of Will and this situation from the outside. Out of everyone in the clan, she was the one he leaned on most frequently. She was independent and smart, and had a good head on her shoulders. While he wouldn't have minded her sticking around for backup, if need be, Will was before Robin's time, and Catherine was too emotionally impulsive, and the rest of the clan were also too likely to act on impulse if a fight broke out. This meeting clearly wasn't going to work out, and though the Lucinius didn't know how to run a civil meeting, he and Kamaria had sat through many with Marcos. They didn't need the extra voices here, especially not with death threats being tossed around. If they were going to get anything useful out of this meeting, it was going to be between him, Kamaria, and Lex, or whichever clown was the voice of that clan. At this point, Ojore couldn't even tell. "I know you're new to this game," he said, looking to Lex, "But just as Kamaria will likely agree, if we want to put death threats on the table, the rule book's about to be overhauled. I don't think we need to waste our people's time with this, do you?" he said, glancing to Kamaria, as her opinion would clearly be more useful than anything the Lucinius clowns had to say at this point. He was open to continuing the discussion on a leaders-only basis, but irrelevant opinions and a room of vampires taking up a fighting-ready stance wasn't going to do any of them any good. Catherine Streller

Needless to say, Catherine was relieved when Ojore told the clan that they could leave. The outburst from Jack, one of the Lucinius members, had frightened her. Not only was his loud, booming voice unexpected in the dazed and confused state that she was in from just seeing Will again for the first time, but his words also carried a daunting weight on their own. They wanted to kill Will. Kill him! Catherine had just gotten him back, and hadn't even had time to process how she felt about that, and here they were talking about putting an end to him as if it was something to be casually discussed. As if it was even a possibility! She wanted to believe that Ojore wouldn't allow it to happen, but the way that he had looked at Will had her feeling less confident. Even if he was angry with him, he wouldn't allow them to kill one of their clan members though, right?

Nearly robotically, she got up and left the room without uttering a word, which was notably unlike her. Being speechless wasn't a state that Catherine was in frequently, and she was known for finding a reason to fill any bout of silence with her own voice... just because. She could barely even process what had just occurred, so she lingered at the end of the hall, waiting for Robin and Himera.

It was Josie's hope that this meeting would be boring and mundane, but straight to the point. She had no desire to be here in the first place, but if her presence was required, the absolute least she wanted was for there to be anything monumental. She already felt like jumping out of her skin sitting in a room full of these...creatures. Really the only thing that kept her brain from focusing on that and driving her crazy was the cognitive dissonance she felt as she peered around the table. These were monsters, all of them, but they were all very human. Ultimately, that dissonance was a fleeting feeling as Will's outburst, and the subsequent reactions that came of it, furthered her confirmation bias. She still didn't understand how the whole clan thing worked, but she was learning very quickly the distinctions just based off of Lex's quick lesson. She knew her clan. Marcos' clan, she corrected herself internally. And the Abarrus all appeared to confirm what Lex had said about them, and that only left the other clan whose name...Started with a V. While Josie was still insistent on not aligning herself with this world, she was now at the very least....not thankful, she thought to herself as she chewed over the right word. She definitely wasn't thankful for any of this. That she had planned on ending her life and was damned to immortality was enough of a brunt to her ego. That she was what she was could only be icing on the cake. Appreciative was a better word. She was at least appreciative that the circumstances had put her amongst the Lucinius and not the others. The thought was quite the development considering that just an hour ago, she couldn't give a rat's ass where she had landed because it was all going to be torture anyway.

The Abarrus were far too chaotic. She'd had enough of that throughout her life. She couldn't really peg the other clan out. They seemed poised and calm, and in that way reminded her of the Lucinius clan. She made a mental note to get clarification on this. Not because she really cared, she quickly reminded herself. Maybe, though, if she just had a slightly better understanding of this mess she was in, it would make it easier to cope. She couldn't stay in her room forever--not practically. She knew that she was of no real purpose to these creatures, so she was in no rush to excuse herself of her self-imposed quarantine. But being around them now, and with virtually all of them validating her biases against them, she felt even more of a hunger to be out in the human world. Her room was no longer big enough or distant enough to excavate her from this life. She needed her normalcy back. She needed to feel as far away from this as possible.

Despite all the ramblings in her mind, she remained quiet and still, at least until Jack slammed his fist on the table and stormed off. Out of all of the Lucinius, he was her least favorite. She didn't know that at the time of her turning, he had been in favor of offing her, but she felt he needed a vibe check nonetheless. Granted, most of her feelings were because of the way he came across and the fact that he kind of intimidated her. When one of the members, Kante, elected that the rest of his members leave, Josie was more than pleased and hoped that her clan would follow the same course. She glanced to her right, where Lex was seated beside her, and then Dory who was across from her. Her chances seemed slim that she would be able to leave considering Dory herself was a leader of the clan now too. Plus, she was the mayor's daughter. That was still something she couldn't wrap her head around, but if it became a leaders only meeting, she knew Dory would be staying. Still, she turned her attention to Lex. "I told you," she said a bit under her breath, not trying to conceal the annoyance in her voice. "Why are we even meeting if we already know that one of them did it?" Josie's question wasn't meant to be controversial, as it was a genuine question. She trusted Lex's judgment enough to not question it when it came to the unfamiliar of this world, especially when the unfamiliar unknowingly confirmed everything he had said earlier.

Lex narrowed his eyes as William fed off of his response, taking it and single handedly spinning it into a bizarre accusation that Lex had killed Marcos for power. Not only was it incorrect, but it was offensive, and given the nature of offense, it was one that Alexandre took personally. To the other clans, this situation was just an important man being killed. Lex saw Marcos as a father, though, so he was far more emotionally invested in bringing the culprit to justice than he could expect them to be. Even if they didn't care as much about bringing justice to Marcos as they did about ensuring the killer was caught for their own protection, that was still something. At least that would ensure that everyone cared to some extent. He didn't trust the Abarras now that Will was back. What else were they hiding? Anything that Ojore had to say, now, was possibly a guise to steer them in the wrong direction and distract them from the truth. Unlike their clan, the Abarras didn't want justice for Marcos, or even safety for the vampire community as a whole. As Jack put it, they were the danger here.

While he was glad that Ojore had dismissed his clan, he didn't think Ojore, himself, deserved to be in this conversation either. He was the ring leader, the mastermind behind the evil that his clan participated in. Whether he was directly involved in Marcos' death or not, he was still responsible for it if it was one of his clan members who had done it--and now, Lex was just about certain that it had been William.

"We didn't know that one of them did it. I suppose everyone's innocent until proven guilty, but I think Will's mere presence is enough to point to his guilt," Lex answered Josie, not attempting to speak quietly under his breath as she had. "Will was banished from New York about... what?" he said, looking to Dory briefly before guessing, "One hundred and twenty years or so, ago?" It didn't feel like it had been that long ago, but he supposed that it was. The memories of that day still rang fresh in his mind, and the emotions that stood behind the memories made it all the more harder to forget. "He started trouble, as he always did, but this time it led to the death of one of our own. Consensus among all of the vampires with any sort of class, outside of Marcos," he continued, his eyes momentarily flickering towards Ojore's side of the table before returning to Josie, "Was that any vampire who knowingly put all of our lives at risk by being so brazenly menacing, nonetheless actually killing one in the process, deserved death." He glanced towards Kamaria too, realizing upon her words that she had missed this time in their history as well. Some of her clan members had been around though, and could likely attest that Lex wasn't even speaking with bias. "Marcos had mercy on him though, and let him flee to Paris, under the agreement that he was to never set foot in New York again. If the Abarra clan in Paris wanted to deal with him, so be it, but we wouldn't tolerate such savagery here." Lex paused, glancing around the table momentarily before looking to Kamaria. "His coincidental return right around the time that Marcos was killed, coupled with his understandable distaste for our leader for banishing him, makes his role in the murder quite simple. Even if you don't want to believe it based off of that alone, his return in itself is a threat to the safety of all of us. Jack's verdict is the one that makes the most sense." He spoke in a declaratory tone, but looked to Kamaria for her to weigh in. The matter was now personal enough that he didn't think her objection would carry any weight, at least not in Jack's opinion, but he was new to this leadership stuff, so at least asking her what she thought felt most appropriate.

Kamaria sat back in her chair, silent as she processed what she’d just been told instead of snapping at Ojore for his words and his tone. “Hiding from danger you say? I’m sorry if I’d rather not run into danger head first like you and your clan.” She couldn’t help but sneer at him. Honestly, he knew how to push her buttons.

Now they were looking for her opinion on the matter of Ojore’s returning member. She was well aware of the rules and laws of their kind, having learned all that she could when she became leader. Kamaria hummed quietly as she thought. For a brief moment her gaze fell upon the newest addition to the Lucinous clan member. She couldn’t help but let a small, amused smile appear on her face before focusing on the two other leaders. “You both have a point. But seeing as an agreement was made concerning your clan member, one that he was willingly broken. I don’t believe there is much left to say. And his sudden appearance after his death is suspicious.” Kamaria looked between the two of them.

“He caused the death of one of our own. And from his behavior I doubt he is remorseful. That alone makes it the concern of all of us, no matter what clan. Despite Marcos death I still believe that he should have abided by the rules of the agreement. After all, if he did it once, who says that he won’t do it again? I say deal with him accordingly.” Kamaria had killed many in the past, had ordered others to do so but she knew the significance of killing another vampire without reason. They were so few in numbers after all. “As for labeling him as the killer. I think it’s far to hasty, despite how much sense it makes.”

[/div] [/div] [/div] [div class=right] [div class=scroll] Himera nodded at Ojore's order for them to leave. Normally in a situation like this, she'd stay behind and stand by his side. But after what Jack said, there was a good reason for them to disperse. His threats weren't to be taken lightly so it was only right to find and keep Will out of his reach. She sent a quick text to Dion about keeping an eye peeled for Will as they walked out of the room. She had a feeling he'd turn up at the Black Veil eventually and drink on her dime. She and Jack were on friendlier terms since he stopped by the bar from time to time, against his clan's knowledge. She was hesitant of barring him from the Black Veil until all of this blew over but that would stand against what her business stood for.

As she is walking down the hall with the other members she warns them to stay out of harm's way if Jack is going to keep his word and instructed them to wait until Ojore gets out of the meeting to take any action. She meets up with Catherine down the hall and can tell how shaken up she is by what went down in the meeting.

"Hey, you two can ride back with me. I'll drop you off at the compound on my way back to the Black Veil." She says to Robin and Cat. A ride was waiting for them up at the front and she wanted nothing more to do with any Lucinius for the rest of the night. [/div] [/div] [/div] [/div]

[div class=role]head of abarra[/div] [div class=image][/div] [div class=textbox][div class=scroll]The fact that Kamaria was going to sit here and side with the Lucinius clan irked Ojore, but then again, he knew that he was always playing with fire when he entertained her. She was dangerously alluring in a physical sense, and 'alive' or not, he was still a man. He had to remind himself that they had different loyalties and that he while their banter typically remained playful, it didn't necessarily mean that they were friends. He didn't think that he couldn't trust her, but he believed that he couldn't trust that her loyalty would be with him. Especially in a situation where his own loyalty wouldn't have been with him, if he was on the outside looking in. He understood why the Lucinius clan was angry. He understood the emotions behind their desire to have William's head on a stick. But wasn't their whole clan's purpose to be the 'civil' ones? The ones who had surpassed the innate desires of vampires and acted more controlled and refined? Was killing another vampire really something that that clan, the ones who always acted morally superior to everyone else, was really proposing now? Without even knowing whether William had any involvement or not? "Look, I'm gonna be real up front with the two of you," Ojore stated, looking between Kamaria and Alexandre, and ignoring the other clan members in the room. He didn't even know if Lex was the one who deserved to be looked at, but that was one of the few problems that wasn't Ojore's right now. "If anyone, and I mean any-fucking-one lays a finger on any of my people, you're going to get yourself a war. A war so ruthless that it won't compare to anything either of you have ever dealt with," he warned, mentally directing that more so at Kamaria then Lex, since Lex was too young to have known any true warfare. "And I can promise you that no one will be off limits," he continued, his eyes momentarily roving over Josie, to signal that young vampires would be just as easily targeted if they wanted to go there. "I'm 'a let you decide whether you still wanna start this fight," he said, getting to his feet. There was no more "meeting" to be had. They had crossed a line by even suggesting that a clan member be sentenced to death, and civil talk was out of the question now. At least at this very moment, where the mere thought of seeing Jack's face, or Kamaria's little minion Alsek opening his mouth would likely lead to Ojore leaving them with a permanent tattooed imprint of his fist on their face. "Just know that you've been warned that if you do decide to try that with my people, I won't sleep until your clans are wiped off the map, and I mean that, on god." With that said, Ojore dismissed himself. "Himera, I need actual liquor, not whatever this is," Catherine demanded, in a tone that was a mix of a snap and a whine. The glass that she slid towards Himera was completely empty, but whatever had been in it hadn't been strong enough for Catherine's pleasure. While it took a lot of alcohol to get a vampire drunk, Cat somehow always managed to get there. Her self control was typically lacking, but that was going to be especially true tonight--and for god only knew how long--now that there was a big issue on their hands. Cat wasn't one for drama that involved her in any way other than stirring it up, and sitting back to watch as it played out. She didn't want to be involved in it personally, to an extent where her emotions were at stake, and that was the case with the situation at hand. Will was back, and part of Catherine couldn't have been more elated at that fact. Robin and Himera hadn't had the pleasure of knowing William before he was wrongly kicked out of the city, but Cat had, and she had loved every minute that she had spent with him. Somehow, it felt like yesterday and a lifetime ago at the same time. He kept her entertained and enthralled, and then one day, he was gone. Just like that.

Although they had found Will and all of the clan, aside from Ojore, were now at The Black Veil, Catherine hadn't acknowledged her long lost friend yet. What was the point in even speaking to him if Ojore was going to come back and kill him? Cat didn't actually believe that Ojore would do such a thing, but she also didn't think that he wouldn't physically harm him in some way, and that would be just as bad. While Ojore was someone that they all trusted immensely, there was no denying that he was a frightening and intimidating guy when he needed to be. A lot of the time, when his annoyance was directed towards her, she didn't even realize it, but the pure anger that radiated off of him tonight was something that even she couldn't ignore. "Robin, be a dear and just bring the whole bottle of Balkan vodka over for me, would you?" Cat said, looking to Robin with a puppy-dog level pleading face when Himera didn't move fast enough to satisfy her needs. Cat was nothing if not a drama queen, and though everyone in the clan had a right to be distressed over this entire situation, it was quite Cat-like for her to be extreme about it.

William "Will" Shaw
--
William was satisfied with the way the meeting had went. Sow seeds of doubt among the vampire population, cause a ruckus and see what turns up. He knew some of them would be angry, maybe angry enough to try something stupid, but William wasn't too worried - he had gotten out of worst situations. He had spent the last while prowling the streets in search of his next victim, thinking of his next move. An appearance at the Black Veil would be necessary, mainly to gauge Ojore's reaction but also a part of William wanted to see Catherine again. Maybe it wasn't wise but Will didn't care, he just wanted to see her, to get lost in those mesmerising eyes. William turned down a darker alleyway, the sounds of a busy nightlife were fading slightly apart from footsteps approaching quickly from behind him.

Will whipped around to see a male, a small bandanna wrapped around the bottom half of his face and a measly looking knife in his left hand, pointed directly at William. "Run yo pockets, I'm taking your shit!" the man commanded. Will squared his shoulders and looked at the man with an almost pitiful expression.

"It really is funny how such things fall right into your lap," Will said to himself in curious tone before grinning. With almost impossible speed, Will slapped the mans knife from him and sending a bone crunching right hook to the mans jaw. A fiery pain could be felt in Will's gums, his fangs screaming to be freed, to feast upon the mans blood but William held back. The man fell backwards at the force of the punch, pain and fear clearly displayed across his face - his jaw most definitely broken. The man tried to crawl backwards but William took one step and grabbed the males leg and pulled him backwards. A shrill scream escaped the mans mouth as he was pulled backwards further into the alleyway, this only made William smile further.
--
Leaving the area in a blur of inhuman speed, William was content with his dinner. Next stop, possible death. William made his way into the Black Veil. "Please hold the applause, I have indeed, returned!" William announced as he walked in, a grin spread across his face, his piercing blue eyes sparkling.
