MASKS RPG - Easy-to-learn Teen Titans Game

Hi all! I'm looking to GM a game of Masks by Magpie Games. For those who don't know, Masks is an RPG where you basically play the Teen Titans - junior superheroes who have just formed a team. The setting is unique in that superheroes have long been established - there have been three whole generations of superheroes defending the city and the world. You're just the latest in a long line of heroes, and you're looking to make a big name for yourself.

Because it's so open-ended, the game is all about creativity. You can come up with any superhero you like, and pretty much do anything you want (within reason)! There aren't hard mechanics, so you can just say "I attack" and use Rule of Cool to decide how you attack.

The game itself is really easy to learn. I can put up a quick explanation of how things work, and I'll also put up a series of links that would be helpful.

It's really simple to start! You choose a "playbook", which is your character sheet. Once you choose your playbook and fill it out, you can flavor your powers however you want! The first time I played, I straight-up played a time-traveling robot for the Doomed playbook.

Anyway, here's the links if you wanna check it out. There's other Playbooks that aren't included on their website, but if you wanna use them, just let me know.

Count me in as well - very new here, didn't expect that there would be a Masks game recruiting.

Looks like the team is going to be The Outsiders then. Quick, someone figure out a way around DC's trademark.

If you'd link Split for me? Newborn is fine.

By the way, I'd prefer if everyone was using a different Playbook. It's up to you, of course, who you play, but that's just my personal preference. (I think the game is supposed to be played like that anyway???)

On another note, I'm not particularly knowledgeable on Halcyon lore, so I'm gonna be making a lot of things up. If any of you are particular about the established lore, please keep it to yourself.

I'm currently at work, but I'm not too stuck on the playbook so if someone really wants it, I'll take a look at others when I have time in a couple hours.

Here you go. It's supposed to be based on characters like the Hulk and Ghost Rider, I think. The kind of character that has a superpowered alter ego with its own agenda.

Oh, forgot to mention the playbook has +3 to all labels and can't have influence taken over it

Ha. Hahahaha. Ha.

(By the way you really don't want to have +3 to all labels cause I'm pretty sure that's like 4 conditions from the get-go)

Which reminds me, is everyone good with the rules? You can find a copy of the rulebook online, I think, but I can do my best to explain if you need...

Working on my sheet. I'll be leaving some blanks until we're farther along in creating the team.

What is the average age we are all going for, I know that they are supposed to be young heroes.

Oh wait, just found the bit about 16 to 20 years old.
