Roleplay Type(s)
As per title. Learning doesn't have to be boring. What youtube channels (or equivalent) do you go to when you want to learn things in amusing ways?

Tierzoo - What if real life was a video game? What would the game play be like? What do you main? Are geese OP?

Drachinifel - Big booty. Big shooty. A very british guide to mostly 20th century warships, their technology, their crews, their triumphs and their not so triumphant epic fails.

Ahoy - A series on the smoll shooty stuff, with the interesting twist that he concentrates on the cultural impact of a particular weapon alongside it's historical one. He does video game design too. Is there really nothing better than an AK?

This Old Tony - I'm a metalworker, CNC operator to be specific. This guy combines my love for the trade with my love for quirky humor and nerd jokes. Everything you ever wanted to know about Gears but were afraid to ask.

Overly Sarcastic Productions - Writing tips and history in one channel with helpful hand drawn chibis for easy visualisation. Also works as a podcast. They neatly explain for instance why Dr Jekyll is a much better Mad Scientist than Frankenstein.

WARNING: Most of these are long, so sit back and relax.

So what do you watch? Why are they great? Why do they catch your attention?

Time for more, because knowing is half a battle.
The other half is violence. A lot of violence.
Kurzgesagt - Introduction videos for a wide variety of topics. Very reminiscent of Horrible Histories in that it makes complicated subjects accessible to even a high schooler level education. Simple graphics help illustrate the topic in a clear manner. I'm grateful it exists. Also ANTS!

Extra History - England has a debt that goes back to over 300 years ago. Is anyone capable of making that into an interesting youtube series? Who did they borrow the money from? Why should you curse the name John Blunt? All these questions are answered here, courtesy of Extra History. Great channel even more reminiscent of Horrible Histories than Kurzgesagt. Also features a bisexual French woman eloping with a nun while the King of France approves.

The Chieftain WoT - Originally an in house historian for World of Tanks that did some promotional footage, he since grew so popular I can now heartily recommend him to anyone interested in tanks of the 20th century. The blooper reel that is included at the end of every video is well worth the time too. Find out why the T34 has shovel marks on the side and why it's loader always carried a knife around.

Skallagrim - SWOOOOORDS! Why it's a great idea to grab a sword by the sharp end sometimes.

SmarterEveryDay - Has a variety of videos on physics-related topics. He's a likable guy and the super slo-mo shots are very satisfying to look at.

Chubbyemu - Videos about interesting, real-life medical cases. I like how he explains terminology and digs deep into the cause of the patient's sickness. You learn what really happens if a kid ate tide pods and why you shouldn't eat cookie dough for a week straight.

WW2 Week by week. It goes through WW2 in real time covering the events of the current week. Right now it's in 1941 so there are four more years to go before the series is over. They also have some great supplementary videos (Who knew that the German soldiers were given a drug similar to meth? And that Hitler was an unknowing drug fiend?) WW2 Week by Week - YouTube

Also any kind of sports podcast or show, don't matter which.... but Jalen and Jacoby is the GOAT

When I want a brief overview of what is happening in the world and why, I check out StormCloudsGathering or Jason Unruhe on youtube.
