Followed up with all the potentials from this week. Started one roleplay, getting ready to start a second, turned one down, had one lose interest, waiting to hear back from the other three to see if they lead to roleplays.

Haha. That's funny because yesterday in the advice forum I equated responding to a search thread with writing a cover letter. Very similar in formula. Introduction, Qualifications/Interests, Call to Action I was excited to see horror and sci-fi on your list. A lot of people find them underrated...

I am a die hard 1x1er (got over group roleplays way back when because the reply lag killed me) and I have had a fair number of search threads in my day. In my experience I have rarely had people come on too strong. More often I think the opposite might be true where people are indecisive or...

Particularly in reference to niche ideas: Try writing something for it. Sometimes people can't see where an idea might go or if it's a fandom where you want to focus on a side ship instead of the main pairing people may just have never found a reason to be interested in the side characters...
