I think I've gone through the responses I've gotten and replied back.

Looking to start a couple roleplays again. Please hit me up with ideas.

Viewpoint Internal Monologue? I asked. Curious what they would say if they knew that I was genuinely interested?

I did, in fact, enter this thread because when my mouse went over the title up popped a xkcd comic. Having read it all, however, I'll give you a legit answer: I've never done a roleplay that wasn't the tabletop kind where we had a GM. No one has ever suggested to me that my writing was 'ooc...

Fantasy MxM | Lit/Advanced | Nothing too fancy here

Followed up with all the potentials from this week. Started one roleplay, getting ready to start a second, turned one down, had one lose interest, waiting to hear back from the other three to see if they lead to roleplays.

Well. While I wait to hear back from the nibbles I've gotten so far we'll see if I can get any more bites.

I can't say I've done many roleplays with dragons but I am a fan of dragons and Dragonriders of Pern was one of the first fantasy series I ever read. So on that note- would you set up a dragon roleplay in that way with each of us playing at least one human/dragon team or would it be more...

Haha. That's funny because yesterday in the advice forum I equated responding to a search thread with writing a cover letter. Very similar in formula. Introduction, Qualifications/Interests, Call to Action I was excited to see horror and sci-fi on your list. A lot of people find them underrated...

Advice/Help How does one properly express interest in response to a 1x1 search thread?

I am a die hard 1x1er (got over group roleplays way back when because the reply lag killed me) and I have had a fair number of search threads in my day. In my experience I have rarely had people come on too strong. More often I think the opposite might be true where people are indecisive or...

Is it still necro'ing if I do it to my own thread? Heh.

Advice/Help How do I revitalize an idea?

Particularly in reference to niche ideas: Try writing something for it. Sometimes people can't see where an idea might go or if it's a fandom where you want to focus on a side ship instead of the main pairing people may just have never found a reason to be interested in the side characters...

Experiences Why did the roleplay you were in die?

I let them. Either I or my partner (pretty much only do 1x1s) was losing interest, posting schedule slowing down because of real life stuff, other roleplays I was more excited to reply to took priority, and a variety of other factors might have been involved but ultimately all it came down to...

Sorry TigerLover but I think you're going to want to create your own thread. It appears our interests are entirely incompatible as I only roleplay male characters and male/male relationships.

Hello, hello. Please call me Jace. Given I’m posting here it goes without saying I am looking for some roleplay partners. All of my main characters are male and if there is romance it will be male/male. I tend to play more dominating characters but not all of them are so if you have a preference...

Other Random question of the day

In many ways I feel that the 'me' that is out in the world being viewed, perceived, judged by other people is my fictional counter-part.

Viewpoint What Roleplaying Clichés Need to die out?

Character-sheet style introductions in a 1v1. Character sheets are good for tabletop games or group roleplays and for keeping track of a particular character's attributes either for yourself or a partner but do not a good roleplay introduction make. A lot of you talked about spending too...
