  • Dear life,

You've been kinda throwing things at me and making it hard for me to keep up lately. So...now I'm gonna kick you in the mouth, take your lemons, then do whatever the fuck I want cause I'm that great. Time to catch up on my shit finally.

I've deduced that, due to my work schedule making my active time into the early AM, that I should acquire a group of European friends.

    Come to me, friends!
How interesting does a super power RP focused on character development sound? Awesome? Then check this out:

Starting to notice a lot of people that claim they're busy actually have no time management skills. That and busy is the most popular excuse for procrastination

I'm too busy to read and like this.

That is true. I often end up busy for a lot longer than I should because I get distracted by status updates

After a bit of IT mayhap on my end I have managed to successfully replace my laptop screen and only lose one or two screws. Mission success.
I heavily desire a detailed super power sandbox type RP. Like, an over-arching plot is fine too but I really want a thing where a group of people can create some in-depth characters and really explore character development and the relations between the characters. With super powers.

I.... just tell me what you think a sandbox RP is, before we go on.

Let me rephrase that. I'm not sure how a battle rp would also be considered sandbox. To me, sandbox is free roam with not linear plot, where as a battle rp would probably have a linear plot-- win some kind of battle royale.

Maybe we just have different definitions and I'm misinterpreting.

    yeah, we have different definitions.

To me a sandbox, is a rolepaly with near total character freedom. You can be pretty much anything. Given this is also a superpower RP, it would be more like "you can have any rule-allowed super power".

anyway, only one person can tell us what the actual meaning was supposed to be- @Anarchist
"We are the ones, the ones you left behind./Don't tell us how, tell us how to live our lives./Ten million strong, we're breaking all the rules./Thank you for nothing, 'cause there's nothing left to lose." MKTO - Thank You

It's best to keep your opinion to yourself if you're unwilling to hear other's disagreements. Yes, you have a right to your opinion and a right to share it, but everyone else has a right to disagree and tell you exactly why.

True, very true. But where do you draw the line between being someone who doesn't want to listen to others and someone who does listen to what others have to say, but remains unconvinced , and thus by actually thinking themselves correct, tries to defend their own beliefs?

It's a fine line, needless to say.

But more clear than one might think. The bigger problem is the sheer pressure and fear of sounding bad, which is often underestimated, but has a huge impact on pretty much every public discussion.

    Cause here's a fact:

nomatter what you believe in, reality won't change just because you believe differently. So what's the point of treating every opinion with kid's gloves? Every opinion should be shattered and replaced with better ones, but through proper argument one, for THAT is the line.

    sorry for the rant
As a detailed writer I find this 500 post thing kinda weighed outta my favor. I don't do this rapid fire post thing that many do and it's gonna make me unable to try out HTML for awhile :C

Ah well. what can I do?

I am neither interested in that or really have time. I've got things I've got to get written up for a variety of RPs as well as work and such. Any time I try that I end up going to take a piss and coming back to twenty more pages >_>

thats fair enough. I do both detailed and simple/casual, however recently I have been lazy and since rejoining the site after a 1 year hiatus havent joined in any detailed rps xD  although I should be getting back into those soon.

Yeah, I have mixed feelings about the post-limiting on some features. Even as a user that will probably hit every single limit, it doesn't seem fair to me. Actually, especially as someone who will probably hit every single limit, seeing as to all of my role playing has been detailed for the most part. This rewards people who sloppily role play and make small, undetailed posts way more than it rewards the people who actually take some creativity in their writing and decide to put the detail of an actual story into every post. It seems weighed not out of just your favor, but out of the favor of everyone who actually takes role playing seriously, as it seems the harder you work on each post, the harder it will be to reach the limits they're setting.
